so with 180gb mining the v2 pool i constantly get no valid shares to submit to pool.. been mining for over a hour now... and my ID has not appeared on http://178.62.39.204:8121/shares .... i havnt gotten a clear answer if there is something else i need to do for it to mine in the pool. do i not have enough GB plotted? I took a peek at your last posts, and see account 16036893174223139082 mentioned. If that is you, you haven't done the reward assignment, and therefore are not on the allowed users list. oh yes! i forgot to do this with my new ID.. how do i make a public key? {"errorCode":8,"errorDescription":"recipient account does not have public key"} Recipient needs to be BURST-8NZ9-X6AX-72BK-2KFM2 if that is entered correctly you shouldn't get that message. where do you get that wallet from?? if i copy numberic # it matches but if i copy account ID BURST-BWAC-DZV9-Y2DA-FXM5X why is it different... thats the wallet that shows on the front page EDIT oh am i putting in the pools wallet? not my own?

so what happens to me i did mine in 400gb plots, 1-1800000 and 1800001-36000000 am I ok to mine or should i of done it differently
What are the names of your plot files? 16036893174223139082_1_1800000_1000 16036893174223139082_1800001_3600000_1000 nobody explained to me that it was important!! just to not have duplicate plots. .. edit: could somebody explain the importance of staggering and ram and such i have 8gb ram and cant set it over 1200without it erroring and stagger i cant set it higher than 2400 without error so i just left them both at 1000 Your fine with those two. Staggering is nothing but how big each section is. You can use up to 8191 mb of ram to "hold" the plots in ram as they are created. It doesn't matter if they are 500 or 8191 big. In the end they are the same. As long as they don't overlap. He asked for the names of your files because it shows everything about how big the are and whether they overlap Anyt tips on how to speed up the plots generation? Does staggering size matter to speed it up? To a point stagger size will speed up plot generation--a stagger of 100 will be far faster than a stagger of 10. However, once you get over 1000 or so, the benefit from higher staggers mostly lies simply in the time it takes to parse each file. So I guess it depends on the speed of the CPU right? Yup, plot generation all hinges on CPU power. Is that Linux plot generator on the OP really twice as fast? is it only for Ubuntu? would it work on Opensuse? I really would like to use it, are there any instructions? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.msg8299637#msg8299637 im curious as well is it faster?

Hello,
To generate plots, how to determine the plot value. I just gave the value as 824000 for 200 GB. Will this be enough. I also have a 1.5 Tb space, how much plot to allocate? pls help !!
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1200m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 1007041384185016045 0 824000 500 5
Plot size is calculated as (tb*1024*1024*1024)/256 or (gb*1024*1024)/256. Excuse me PLEASE!!! But I read here a while back that any number we use has to be an even multiple of 8191, is that still correct? For example, my 600 GB plot = 2457600, but when dividing by 8191 I found I needed to make it 2457300 to come out as an even multiple. So if this is correct, don't forget to check the number by dividing it by 8191, and lower the big number until it comes out even, as in (some number).000 . never read that anywhere :0 hope i dont have to spend another 24 hours replotting

so I'm attemptin to run my plot generator over the network. im getting this error saying it cant find main class poc miner? is this a permission issue or something to do with java? Java stuff. You have to map the network share to a drive letter and start it from there. As it says - (running from) UNC path is not supported! nice! i knew it was something little i had already mapped a drive but was still in the shared folder trying to run it, clicked x and opened map drive ran it again boom works

the link wallet 1.0.3 on OP page do not work. where i can download it?
if i go in solo mining i can use the 1.0.2 wallet version???
thank you
No, you absolutely must use 1.0.3 no matter how you plan to mine. I just downloaded it fine from the link in the OP. I've seen MEGA be tempermental sometimes, just keep trying. so I'm attemptin to run my plot generator over the network. im getting this error saying it cant find main class poc miner? is this a permission issue or something to do with java? It seems it can't find the pocminer java file - it needs to be in the same directory as the bat file. it is, it must have something to do with it running from a mapped drive Mapped drives are a little tricky at times to mine with. You have to use mklink or anything similar to that. Plus you have to make sure you have enough bandwidth on the LAN, ie. 10Gbe ideally, 2Gbe(Truncated), etc.... im not trying to mine with it just plot the drives with a different PC... im getting stuck on the syntax for the generate bat not sure why it isnt finding the files they are all there Are you running the plot app in the drive that you are plotting? yes from my desktop, and im trying to run it again on a different PC through a mapped drive to write the other half of the plots to utilize the drive's write speed

do you have to have the plots in order, like on my first harddrive i have 1-7200000 and started my second harddrive 72000001-144000000
turns out my first harddrive is only 80% full, how would i plot the other 20 percent, could i put 144000001-160000000 on the first one?
It doesn't matter what numbers you use at all. The number is just a variable in the encryption process. For instance it would take your account number + 1, then account + 2, etc. It takes the values from the <starting nonce> and goes for as long as you tell it to in the next argument <number of plots>. Each output is completely random so you could do account number + 50238 or account number +10000000000 and you'll get just as random a plot as you would with + 4 and + 5. That's why you don't ever want any overlapping hashes - it always uses the same information + the nonce value. If you two plots both starting at 1 and doing to 1000000, you each plot will calculate your account number + 1, +2, etc so both plots will have the same values and you can't submit a value twice. I did my first hard drive starting at 1. Second drive started at 100,000,000. Third at 200,000,000. And so forth. It's way overkill, I could probably do increments of 20,000,000 but since the value of the number doesn't matter, it doesn't matter - I'm not going to run out of numbers. Just don't use the same numbers twice, ever. Other than that, it has no effect whatsoever what numbers you use, they absolutely do not need to be sequential. you need to do it for every drive, couldn't you just copy paste the plot file into the next hdd? do what for everydrive? 2 drives both need different plots pointing to the same account, correct?
