481  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: June 18, 2015, 03:49:11 PM
Is there any chance to find a cheap S3 controller board around ?

Or the best solution to replace one ?

Thanks

Call Bitmain Support, I believe they will replace a board for $25.
482  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: June 18, 2015, 03:48:17 PM

even if you have something on that IP, nobody else in the world will be able to access it.. just you.

That is the exact point.  This is an internal proxy only, no one else should have access to it.

The problem is the Bitmain S3 refuse to resolve the address.

I am having a DNS issue with the pools on a lot of S3+s, wonder if anyone has seen this.  Miner can resolve other web addresses just fine, and if I put just the IP address in the config for the pool it works fine with the proxy on that IP.

Seems the ants are racist to DNS that resolves an internal IP address.  See below:

What DNS are you using on your network settings?

Used the gateway router 192.168.1.254 for both the PC and the miners, also tried 4.2.2.2.  Same result.  It is a real public DNS server.

Might try the 8.8.8.8 one.  I have had no issues with it.  After you give it a try let us know what pools you are having trouble with.

I have router using 8.8.8.8 aswell.  So far no issues resolving pool's over multiple machines.

Tried same issue.

You can try it if you want. Just ping proxy-a.brokenshop.net ilfrom an S3 I would be interested if your S3 would resolve it.

So far my other manufacturers work fine. Just Bitmain is having an issue.

It is not a good or bad price just regular.

You may want to have him price upgrading your 100A to 400A (320A) that way you only have one meter might be cheaper.

Good luck,
MC

Maybe he was just being an ass, and he knows of another law.

For instance I have a sound ordinance as well from 10PM-7AM 58dba, but there is also a noise ordinance for residential areas that is effect during the day.  65dba 50ft from the property line.

My miner exhaust measure 51 dba @50ft

Edit: Most residential have both, and I bet a leaf blower violates both.  He is kind of right though I have many friend cops, and they all say there is always a law you are breaking.

I believe you forgot the server nodes, I would add them to this diagram cause without full nodes miners are useless.  The play a very important part in blockchain technology.
492  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need Opinions - Best SHA256 ASIC for mining in my office - Quiet yet profitable on: June 15, 2015, 08:55:43 PM

493  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: New mining room - need input for intake - exhaust setup on: June 15, 2015, 08:49:08 PM
Airking 9166F

http://www.airkinglimited.com/page/window-fan.html

3500+ CFM of exhuast or intake your choice.

If you exhuast the fan should suck air through the vents in the room or other places.  You can always intake the fan and put a vent into the sheetrock and have it exhaust to the attic.

Sheetrock repair is very cheap.

496  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: What to use to proxy my miners? BFGminer vs Mining_Proxy on: June 14, 2015, 11:13:04 PM
So just FYI I found that

BFGminer has issues with old miners like BTCGardens they hash at 10% of what they should with 90% rejects and causes the S3's to continuously restart its cgminer every 2-5 minutes.

Mining_Proxy so far no issues yet.

You do not have to worry about TC, he is not a scammer and will always deliver.  I would trust him with $10K+ worth of BTC and not even think twice about it.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 12, 2015, 06:34:02 PM
I have told many friends, some started buying BTC, some started mining, some really started mining 40Th+, and some did not care.
500  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / What to use to proxy my miners? BFGminer vs Mining_Proxy on: June 12, 2015, 03:50:10 PM
All,

I am starting to get to a high number of miners and I am looking to control their pool in a central location, as well as the other benefits of having only one connection out to the pools.

Anyone have a preference?  BFGminer or Mining_Proxy?  Any problems?  Any likes over the others?  Any stability issues?

TIA,
MC
