Right sorry, the PDU comes with an L6-50P plug: http://www.stayonline.com/detail.aspx?id=6272

HUBBELL CS8265C Got it thanks.  Can you PM me a quote for four PDU units shipped to Houston, TX?

What kind of plugs are on your PDU's?

4x C19 plugs, each with 15A breakers and a 50A main.  I can source PDU's in other configurations including 3-phase if requested.

I figured the receptacles were C19 but I was wondering about the input plug for your single phase 50a pdu as there are a few types of 50a plugs.

TIA.

170  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 6? Any owners out there? on: November 28, 2015, 07:31:42 AM
I am about to order 50 units. I am leaning towards Avalon as it appears they handle ambient heat better then the Bitmain units.  Still deciding but that is what I am leaning towards as of now.

Talk to Finsky

I believe he sells cheap 50a PDUs

Is pickup available? If so what is city and state is the gear located?
173  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How do you get free power? on: November 24, 2015, 10:24:41 PM
I round up bums, and dangle $10 and a few beers in front of them while they walk in a big hamster wheel hooked to a generator.  Grin

Yeah good luck with that.  If bums were willing to work for money and beer, they wouldn't be bums.  You'd have more success with big hamsters.

I tried to get funding to make genetically engineered hamster in the lending section but no one lent me the funds. Sad

To go 50A on a PDU your probably looking at an IEC plug.  Different ones can be used for this.  You may want to contact Finsky as I think he sells a 50A PDU that is very cheap.
175  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 240v plugs and phases on: November 24, 2015, 06:16:10 PM
Check these voltages on your plug and see if your close.

But either way this will not determine if it's 3 phase, but even if it is it's safe to use with the other plug and mine.

philipma1957 may have actually killed himself trying to take those pics lol

Maybe but I think he knows what he is doing.

Electrically roasted philipma1957 it's what's for Thanksgiving.  Wink

It is almost impossible to have 3 phase power in any 3 prong outlet. It will be 4 or 5.  Also it can show 208-240 and this is fine for single phase dual pole circuit breakers.

240 does not assure you it's not 3 phase. I have 200 S-5s running on 240 3 phase
It's called high leg or wild leg see diagram below.  The best way to tell is to open your load center and see how many hot leads you got if you got 2 it's single phase. If 3 it's 3 phase.

Use one of these. It will even out the surging caused by the miners going on and off.

So this miner makes $13 a day and you are asking $4000

You can get 3 Antminer S7 for that same price and make over $30 a day.

About 1 year to ROI with cheap electricity.

Way to long of an ROI.  I can buy Alcheminer at 256MH/sec for $1400
