141  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: F2Pool is directly threatening Bitcoin's future on: December 15, 2015, 08:47:04 PM
I am already there, I do not mine on any pool that is over 10% of network hash rate. Remember this is supposed to be decentralized, if we all jump on the same pool that is centralized.

144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi returns, says he's not Craig wright on: December 10, 2015, 04:20:44 PM
This is spoofed.

Code:
    Received: from mail.vistomail.com (cpe-104-231-205-87.wi.res.rr.com
    [104.231.205.87])
by smtp1.linuxfoundation.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 01BCADF
    for <bitcoin-dev@lists.linuxfoundation.org>;
    Thu, 10 Dec 2015 06:53:42 +0000 (UTC)

104.231.205.87 is not mail.vistomail.com. It's some residential IP, cpe-104-231-205-87.wi.res.rr.com.

I feel like the mailing list must be seriously misconfigured to allow this sort of spoofing... You could exploit this to send mail "from" any of the devs, for example.

Yup Vistomail, should be coming from the below subnet or possibly the below IPs.

147  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S3 locking me out... on: December 09, 2015, 05:10:48 PM
Trying using IE instead of whatever browser you are using if your using a different one.  I have seen this problem with Firefox, Chrome, and ME depending on the version and miner.
148  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: December 08, 2015, 07:58:28 PM

this last pic is SO WRONG ...it is so mesmerizing thou...it just wants to suck me in....(must resist argh....) it is a CHAOS TALISMAN
of some type....LOOK AWAY.....(it burns my eyes....)

A chaos talisman, I love it, lol!  I though the same thing when I saw that pict, it's like a little ball of wires that somehow mines.  GOT WIRES?  Grin

I dig the "thing" to power the 3 S7s, but shouldn't you cover up that copper bus bar to prevent accidental electrocution?  Looks terrifying!  I hope you don't have a cat...

Nah, 12v is too low to get even a shock from, much less getting electrocuted. I think you start feeling electricity somewhere around 50v or so. This is assuming dry skin, of course. Wet skin would be lower. The only danger would be if something made of metal were to short the 2 bus bars out.

For the most part you are correct.  Just do not wear rings when working with this.  Seen several people have cooked fingers from letting rings hit bus bars back in my DC datacenter days.

Well, I got my Shift card today, tied to Coinbase for BTC.  Activated and ready to go. What should I try and buy first? Kind of excited to try it out and see how it works.

154  Economy / Speculation / Re: You guys, are all fucked! on: December 03, 2015, 10:48:43 PM
Why is this? I am hoping BTC goes down to low $200's.  I would be happy.

158  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Any Stratum proxies capable of balancing pools? on: December 03, 2015, 12:11:41 AM
I think I tried Slush's and Stratehm they do not seem to offer a balance mode, just failover.

Anyone know of one?

TIA
159  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Home Network security issues on: December 02, 2015, 09:56:08 PM
If you are pool mining. No security issues.  You are opening an outbound connection to a pool for getting and submitted work.

If you are solo mining to your own Bitcoin node, that is a different story.

Just as an FYI. I am a Senior Network Security Engineer. I am keeping my answer simple for your sake.

$400?  Can you calculate shipping charges to Houston, TX?

Fully working?  Is escrow accepted?
