201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the BTC go through $700 barrier before halving? on: June 13, 2016, 05:33:03 AM

Re: title of OP

Why do you consider $700 a barrier OP? i think we went through the tricky resistance already.  We been through $700 before no worries and that was back when bitcoin wasn't a patch on what it is now.  1 thing for sure tim draper will now be sleeping easier haha.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 13, 2016, 05:27:54 AM
I think it is very hard to predict about match between Italy and Belgium, i will pick both teams to score @2.08 which should be nice choice and Belgium looking into a little bit better position to win this match but draw is more favorite from my opinion.

I reckon you should go for a belgium win, they are talented and now some of the players have matured a little.  Last time @ WC they were just a bunch of young talented players but 2 years on now they have proved themselves as maybe the best group of players in the world on paper.  Italy currently aren't that great, im going 2-0 belgium.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach it's limit on: June 12, 2016, 01:29:20 PM
When the Bitcoin will reach its limit.
And it continued to grow, you think the price of Bitcoin will increase?

The internet has still yet to reach its limits, 2 billion users vs 7 billion people.  There is a long way to go before bitcoin can reach full potential maybe 20 years would be a conservative estimate, could be longer.
204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: June 12, 2016, 09:30:33 AM
If you are a BTC lover, would you one day like to get your paycheck 100% in BTC?

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.

Well yeah i would but we need some huge growing yet so we are stable above 5 figures.  It would not be good for some people to have a 50% dip in their money if they have to pay rent.  However i feel stability will come its just too early.  The biggest plus would be to have more choice which taxes you wish to pay.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 12, 2016, 09:22:02 AM
Rooney should've scored that one. Russia found a golden goal in extra time, I still can't believe how they conceded that. This group is crazier than the start now. Wales won, Slovakia is also good side. Things will change in 2nd and 3rd games. It's really unpredictable group.

Rooney hit a safe shot and bottled it, he defo should have scored.  Yeah it does mean the group just got a little crazy, no way wales play that good again yet they are top, no way slovakia play that bad again and they are bottom. England could easy go out.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 11, 2016, 09:17:11 PM

England played well but the reason they wont go far in the competition is the manager roy hodgson.  When russia started pushing forward at 1-0 he doesn't bring on jamie vardy? vardy is the fatest best counter attacker in the premier league, makes no sense.

RIP Kimbo Slice  Cry

Used to watch his backyard fights on youtube. The good ol days.

The guy was a big softy, doesn't even go for the kill after he knocks down other guy.  Its cage fighting here right? they should be jumping on the ground after and keep smashing the other guys head in until ref stops it? lol
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 11, 2016, 07:18:05 AM
The final score France vs Romania is 2-1 win for france. Luckly france can make a goal in the last minute, it saved my over 3 goals but france -1.5 goal is lose.

That game should have had 5 goals minimum, plenty of decent chances. Pogba should have scored, giroud should have had another goal.

Payet's goal was insane already probably goal of the tournament.

He will remember it for the years to come, a hell of a goal.
He's a really good player, reminds me a bit of Vidal

On current form he is one of the best players in the world, he was a class above everyone else in that game.  France just need to drop evra who was shocking and they could win the whole thing.

Todays predictions:

Swiss win obv
Slovakia win vs wales
England draw 0 - 0 with russia thanks to us starting rooney.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Cool channel - 1 minute economy films on: June 11, 2016, 07:14:55 AM
Thanks for the plug Smiley

I'm Andrei, the guy who runs the "One Minute Economics" channel, had this BitcoinTalk account for quite a while but I've never been too active here.

I will try to publish one video each week, one about bitcoin is coming too btw.

The channel is still in its infancy, so I'm open to suggestions.

Right now, ads are disabled altogether, so I'm making $0. My main goal is growing the community, please like the videos, comment and subscribe to support the project if you can.

Hey great channel, tried to make something like this myself one time, its not easy.  When you have the bitcoin video post it up here and on reddit.  Good luck and can see you with a few hundred k subs in 6 months.

211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 10, 2016, 04:55:41 PM
i don't know these rumours true or false because i saw these news several minutes ago and seems Bale want go back to england
and Man Utd will officially offering €120 millions for buying him
Well Mourinho should use that money wisely, with that amount, it would buy him several good players instead just get Bale only. Bale could be another Di Maria in Man United, they can't treat a good player on his best position. I think Bale wont leave Real Madrid before win La Liga as the only tournament he hasnt won yet in Spain.
I do not think bale want to return to the Premier League, he must see the results of such transfer DiMaria total failure. bale very comfortable with real madrid, especially the latter has won the Champions League trophy

Maybe he wont return but it would be totally different from DiMaria.  Bale would be returning home and already has great success in EPL, last time he played in EPL he was the best player.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 10, 2016, 01:32:40 PM
France vs Romania today
I prefer to bet on France, I'm sure France will win on this match
France was more ideal to take your bet.

Its easy.... pogba, payet, kante, martial, benzema, griezman.  Im going with 3 or 4-0 for this match.  Can they fit all these stars into starting 11 i wonder.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: State of Bitcoin poker on: June 09, 2016, 05:51:03 AM
Its pretty much dead. Due to several reasons.

1. A lot of poker sites targetting a small crowd. This essentially divides the players and we see lower and lower number of people on each site.

2. Shut down of Sealwithclubs's browser game. Ever since they have switched to the software based platform, their traffic has dropped a lot and their support on the forum has been pretty much non-existent in the past year.

3. Decline in poker in general. I feel this is also partly the reason.

Defo people have to consider point 3, poker is not a growing trend anymore, everyone who could play is playing or played it for many years.  You have to consider that maybe its getting a bit boing.

Basically we also need pokerstars to directly accept bitcoin and have bitcoin games but they are such fiat shills.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Previous bitcoin halving on: June 09, 2016, 05:46:35 AM
Interesting that the effect of the first halving didn't make the price skyrocket right away. It took a while before the price went up to $1000 but I don't know if that is a direct effect or attributable to the halving that happened. Now, in a month's time, we are going to witness another halving and we might or might not see price movements. Circumstances are different and that makes the anticipation all the more exciting.

Well we had a very small climb pre and after befor it took off.  I think the reason we had a double move is because the halving reminded people how scarce bitcoin was. So many months after when we went to $1000 from $12 the halving was still taking effect.  All the new people who join in next rally will be thinking about 2020 halving.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: June 08, 2016, 06:58:25 AM
Trading is gambling. Everything is a gamble, actually. Because there will always be a probability that something will fail on every single thing. As for trading, the market is very unpredictable, especially in cryptocurrency. People will try to buy low, then later you notice that everyone is actually dumping the coin already before you can earn a profit.

I have to disagree with you, trading is not gambling. Basically trading requires knowledge about market and ups and downs while gambling is urely based on luck and nothing can be won without luck.

Buts let remember trading is a game of incomplete information also, the more information you have in trading the better trade you should be able to make.  Chess is a game of complete information for example.

Well yes and no
Chess is a game of thinkers. You think ahead with a strategy. The same applies for trading unless you make a stupid choice to just invest in a 'stock'

Gambling however can be diversified in both
- Risky gambling without a real strategy (working strategy):
- Less risky gambling with a clear strategy (like poker)

My understanding with chess is it is a game with complete information and thats why computers cant be beat in this game.  Computers can still beat in trading and poker but i guess some day that wont be the case? still waiting on a computer that can beat high level NLHE though.  I know there are trading computers but the best trading decisions are still made by humans (invest in bitcoin @ 1 penny in 2008 for example).

Mahrez worth around 50 millions imo, he is a young talented player and a club needs to purchase him as soon as possible before his price got higher in the future. He is a great investment for any club out there and if you guys think mahrez wont be leaving then think again , no way that he is not gonna leave leicester

I think Vardy, Mahrez & Kante will leave Leicester, they'll be offered massive wages at other bigger clubs & lets be honest Leicester winning the title was a 5000/1 odds at the start of the season.

It won't happen again, they will move to try & win trophies elsewhere.

If all the players stay it could happen again actually, maybe if all players stay its like 15/1 something like that, maybe 10/1.   They didnt just scrape the title remember they destroyed most teams, something works really well with the players they have right now and style they play.

219  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: June 07, 2016, 07:50:25 AM

From my experience i can tell you guys that being happy and healthy is way more important.  That might sound a bit hippy and you've heard that before but its true.  Disclaimer: i will say if you cannot find a decent wage or job you are happy in then its pretty much impossible to be happy and healthy for the average person.  You need to be able to eat right and it costs.  You need to be able to spend large amounts of time relaxing and having fun.  Its tricky.

Happy healthy people are the richest in truth.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: June 07, 2016, 07:36:18 AM
Spain vs Georgia, should be an easy match for Spain. I pick Spain -1.5 goals and over 2.5 goals.
Japan vs Bosnia-Herzegovina. Odds for Japan is so low and i think Bosnia is not that bad.

Easy pick for spain to win at home and actually im considering them for the euros @ 5/1 to win it all.
