I don't know even close how much will cost to make a site like this, but since you've asked about ideas, here's mine:

Make a dice gambling site whith fast bets, nice chat, good look and make ZERO house edge there. All gamblers of the world will be attracted to your site and then you can earn from advertising banners.
If you have zero edge, without infinite bankroll or at least a very significant one, because of variance there is a probability that you will lose all your bankroll at one point. Anyway coming to, advertising banners, I don't believe big gamblers would come to a place plaqued with ads. You're just suggesting an idea for a faucet

Infinite bankroll not needed if you bet micro small with zero edge, if we had a 1 BTC bankroll and bet 50% chances with a bet of 0.000001.  Nobody on planet earth would ever go broke probably in the whole existance of humanity.  In theory with infinite time yeah i guess  you can go broke.

Has anyone done this before? if you have zero edge im not sure some gamblers are even bothered, they want to risk money to win money. Its strange why this model doesn't usually work though.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to invest in betting sites? on: January 18, 2016, 06:43:30 PM
If investing in betting sites wouldn't be profitable, there wouldn't be any investors. However as we can see there are many people who are actually investing in these sites, so on a well established reputable site this must be profitable. I think I'm going to take a closer look at this.

Well established site will probably offer less % because they offer safe returns, they might already have a few big backers like with see with primedice.  Is it worth the risk to back new guys, im not sure, depends on who they are.
464  Economy / Gambling / Re: Who will be the English Premier League top scorer this year? on: January 18, 2016, 06:41:25 PM
I voted for Olivier Giroud as ever since he came back from the injury, earlier in the season he have score good amount of goals (12 at the moment, 3 off the top) and if he could just convert half of the chances he gets in each game, then I could see him in the very top scorers chart at the end of this season.

Giroud is an awesome pick since arsenal could win the league and play excellent football with lots of goals.  Giroud always seems to have 2-3 chances to score everytime i watch him play for arsenal.
465  Economy / Gambling / Re: Who will be the English Premier League top scorer this year? on: January 18, 2016, 03:42:33 PM

Had to go with harry kane, he shoots so much and is the only player with the top 5 teams who they rely on so much for all the goals.  Maybe aguero for city is the same but seems to get injured a lot.
466  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unique Gambling Game on: January 18, 2016, 03:40:35 PM
Unique would be to make site with more card games. There is a lot of card games hard to find to play, vist, remi, brige... many others. Playing such games for bitcoins sounds great. Also some tutorials and free rolls for some new games for people to learn easier.
Of course its just my perspective cause I like to play card games and I like to learn new interesting games.

Problem is we can see that the most popular card game over many years for gambling is poker. Setting up other games wont be as popular, no point trying to reinvent the wheel.  New games would be making some p2p betting possible on popular games that are played today.

Hey!

I've been thinking about setting up a gambling site. Hiring the developers and making something really unique.

I'm just out of ideas. I was wondering if you would have any ideas about gambling sites I could do? Mostly looking for something really unique, which functions well.

Thanks

Do a p2p gaming site where people can play skill games against eachother for bets in bitcoin.  Take a % of earnings for yourself and everyone wins.

At 2+2 you could find groups for any stakes and any format (Cash, SNG, MTT, Spins, HUs). In thread discussions and skype groups.

Post some HH and I will give you my opinion.

Yeah i know but we should do it bitcoin style also and there are no HHs being posted.  Plenty of decent poker players on this forum to offer help and tips also Smiley
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stamp is Leading BTC.....That means DUMPAGE! on: January 15, 2016, 10:53:34 AM

Currently BTC-e is leading the exchanges if we dont consider the china ones.  Usually finex and stamp are $10-$15 ahead of BTC-e i think its a good sign we'll be at $425- $430 in 24 hours again.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is Dead" - Mike Hearn on: January 15, 2016, 10:38:12 AM
Whenever I read some one is saying that Bitcoin is "dead", then it just shows that these people have no idea what they are talking about. Let the dude leave and work on shitty altcoin projects. The more people say Bitcoin is going to fail, the more I keep believing in its future. Something that grows to unseen levels has a lot enemies, and it shows....

Andreas tweeted out "I just found out that bitcoin failed. Oh well, I'll figure out something else to do." lol

I think any price drop was most likely other reasons and a few groups just try to get a buy back spot a little lower.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade house for 1 bitcoin on: January 15, 2016, 10:18:29 AM
How long until we can trade a house for a single bitcoin??

1 year, 2 years, 3 years?? What do you think about it?

As we can see by the replies in the thread people live in various spots where housing costs different.  In th UK housing is expensive and small i do see it possible in about 5-10 years though providing we stay on this trend.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hearn's School Boy Dummy Spit on: January 15, 2016, 10:02:52 AM
His comments have decimated the price.

As intended, he writes he expects the bitcoin price to drop haha, whats that so he can buy in again lower?  Also we see cryptsy say they lost 13k BTC n a hack it seems the powers that be want more cheap coin.  Wait 1 week and we have more good use to pump.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How legal is to create betting/gambling site? on: January 15, 2016, 10:00:03 AM
Hello.

I'm thinking about creating own gambling site. Do I need license for that? Does anyone have experience in this field?

Probably a good idea to stay away from USA if you are launching any serious opperation as they are the ones who have proven to actually do something if someone isn't following their ways.  Other countries seem much better.  TBH the most important thing is can you provide a product people will use.
475  Economy / Gambling / Poker Strategy Thread (Hand Histories & General Discussion) - P2P Only on: January 15, 2016, 09:37:01 AM
Thought a Poker Strategy Thread (Hand Histories & General Discussion) would be a good idea for reviewing peoples play or general approach to P2P poker.

Feel free to post up any hands or questions for strategy approach in P2P poker.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 15, 2016, 09:29:22 AM
Granada continued to attack but always failed to score Granada seems to require a reliable striker, 18 shots but no goal  Undecided

They had 19 goal attempts with only 2 shots on goal. Most of the time their shots was only a speculation shots, it seems like they are really desperate to score that is why most of their player keep on kicking the balls although they know that it wont get into the goal however it worth a try since they had lost 4-0 in the first leg

, yepp if they not meet Barcelona until the final they might could get it..

Diego simeone is wasting his players stamina at copa del rey. He could have win the game without using most of his top player since the start of the game. He should have saved most of the players since they could have won this easily. Barcelona is not an easy team to beat and they are going to defend their title

Simeone if off to the prem in the summer imo.  All the top managers want to be in prem.  This weekends predictions:

 Sevilla Vs Malaga     draw
Celta Vigo Vs Levante  draw
Villarreal vs Real Betis  home win
Real Sociedad vs Deportivo La Coruna home win
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: January 14, 2016, 10:27:02 AM
You need great skill to win in sports or poker. If you have good luck, you might win in dice. But no everybody has good luck.

Well... everyone has equal luck really.  It just seems like some people have better luck than others in the short term due to results orientated thinking. Its a hard concept to grasp considering people will go their whole life being unlucky and others cannot put a foot wrong it seems.  All an illusion though.

Agree about illusion. And I dont think u need great skill to win in sports or poker. U just need to have some luck, a bit of self control and a lot of patience. I think patience is most important in most of the games, and to be carful to not get in tilt fase. I think poker is good game for making money, there is a lot of free rols and not so expensive tournaments. Yes its hard to win but be in first 5 and u will win something from time to time.

Patience is vital yeah and no you dont need to be great you just need to be better than either who you are playing against if its poker or if its sports betting you need to be better than the majourity of the market.  I'd rather try and find soft spots than work on being the best skilled person ever to take on the best.

I know that a good gambler knows when to stop and if he does that, he will lose less money.
In return he will be able to make a lot of money. Not k's but 10k's

Some people have high budgets and gamble big and its like nothing to them.  Some people have a different emotional set up and gambling means different things to them.  I would assume the person you know only plays for fun with that kind of emotional control.

I'm playing 3.3$ 9max STT these days , I have played around 400 games and my ROI is 22% so far
so actually poker players can calculate how much they can make by taking a large sample of games
in my case I'm expecting to make 0.726$ every game + rakeback

Thats decent but probably need an even higher sample to be sure of 20%+ ROI as that is quite high.  I know i have played several hundred k of cash game hands and broke even - usually i am a winning player.

People should check out sites like sharkscope or pokertableratings and there you can see very large samples of winning poker players.

I know , but 400 games when we are talking about STT 9max regular speed is decent to determine how you are doing
my biggest downswing was 30 games , so I have also experienced a downswing
I have done reaserches and found that 1000 games is excellent to determine how you are doing and so far I'm doing good
for sure this ROI will become smaller when I move up , but I will take any positive number  Grin
even if the ROI is 5% , this is great to make 5% in 1 hour and 15 mins  Smiley

Yeah if you can make 5% at higher stakes that would be amazing, i know some players will just grind higher stakes for rakeback only since it gets so high when you move up.  Personally i like to beat the game and get rakeback, it feels way more satisfying.
