761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin better than litecoin? on: July 11, 2015, 01:04:42 PM
Bitcoin is the recognizable face of cryptocurrency.

Litecoin, not so much.  Litecoin serves now as a low entry price point for investing in the crypto world.

And bitcoin is priced 50x the price of litecoin because of being the #1.  It seems like quite a gap in pricing though it wouldn't take that much for litecoin to become equally used.

rumors of primedice making a return Grin

According to who? I wouldn't listen to rumours.
I think stunna had claimed that the signature campaign was going to return "next week" back in September/October and here we are in July of the following year and no PD signature campaign. I also believe that it has been at least 6 months since there has been any chatter regarding the PD signature campaign.

Yeah depressing...

Someone should make signaturedice.com and use the profits to pay some of the highest sig rates ever to get the community really behind it.  Then just take a decent wage for themselves.

765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to convert Litecoin back to Bitcoin on: July 11, 2015, 06:45:48 AM
If ya look at the 1 week chart that recent red dragon looks very intimidating in ltc/btc. Yet, it does appear that the retrace is holding and looking up which means this could be a good re-entry point if you're looking to make a play on litecoin again. Smiley

Imactually still bullish on litecoin at this point, the buy orders have been growing and with bitcoin stable its perfect market conditions for more action.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BBC suggest bitcoin as "lesser of two evils" on: July 11, 2015, 06:21:22 AM
The BBC have a short 1 minute video and in it they discuss Greeks turning to bitcoin. I thought it was worth a share.

Check out the hoodlum figure they use to depict the bitcoin holder.

good that they are talking about it but lol at the software comment.

769  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hit $280 on: July 10, 2015, 11:44:33 AM
Lets just pray for BTC staying above the 280$ for a while now.. Better than a rocket jump up and then a huge dump.

nearly @$290 lets hope for $300+ soon

772  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The road to the End of Religion on: July 06, 2015, 09:15:59 AM
And what it's gonna be after the end of religion? End of civilization? What is the workld and society you proposing? It doesn't make any sense.
A whole lot less violent, that's what it'll be. More orgasms = less violence, I guarantee it.

I would like us to chill out and explore sex more as society, its crazy to have sex with one person for your whole life after marriage. Men find it easier to deal with multiple partners than woman currently.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin block halving work? on: June 24, 2015, 08:41:47 AM
ok thanks all.

2013? i remember that the first halving was around the end of november, the controlled supply report 11-28-2012

that chart did not say 2013 at all, notice how the red line(inflation) start to fall before 2013...

however the next halving will be early, because miners are actually mining more coins than expected, this is due to the diff retarget and the bigger hash that keep increasing at a much faster rate in comparison with the old days

Can miners speed things up by much more then? could we ever see block halving at 3 or even every 2 years for example?
774  Economy / Economics / How does bitcoin block halving work? on: June 23, 2015, 03:54:37 PM
So like first halving was 2013, shouldnt the 2nd be in 2017, i thought it was every 4 years without fail:

Then some people are saying its going to be june 2016, WTF? thats great indeed but how can it change.

If it can change how can we trust bitcoin that future block halvings aren't like every 1 month or something?

779  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [VOTE] UK General Election 2015 on: April 30, 2015, 05:40:38 AM
Actually just got a communist party leaflet dropped through the door today, the slogan on the top of the leaflet is "Tax The Rich" - i feel like they aren't even trying with that slogan

Yep, the communist party seems extremely weak, but who needs a communist party?

yeah i guess if we ever solved inequality properly there wouldnt need to be a political party to run the show.
