There is a member with a POS Coins thread, explaining POS basics and writing a journal (CrazyLoaf's CrazySteak(TM) High PoS Investment Journal), very interesting. I suggested having a look at XMG. Find his journal here

Awesome thread, very interesting to read. Added some HBN and CAP to my portfolio.

In case you are looking for another interesting POS coin, please have a look at Magi / XMG. It has just reached POS II. It's not a scammy pump and dump coin, CPU only mineable and has next to an active community, an awesome developer.
Find the XMG thread here.

Is their service still alive? Seems to be dead.

What happen to website?

We are re-branding... Moving in on the Adult industry!

Great to hear. A coin with this name simply needs to be connected to the adult biz.
If you need some ideas, inputs, let me know (but I'm not a tech).

I just had problems with Cryptoine, too. Not with XMG but other coins. After I contacted support, everything was working fine. So guys, try to send them a mail, maybe their system works only this way currently  Grin

No replies anymore. Cryptoine disabled wallets and trading due to low net hashrate. We need some more power to get BLZ re-enabled at Cryptoine.

The above mentioned is a serious problem. In fact it makes mining for small miners a bad choice, as it is lots cheaper to buy than to mine, and the free miners will continue to keep the price down.

Joe, one idea could be to buy all this cheap positions, manually or probably with a bot. Don't know if you have some funds left for this (call it a campaign "Proof of value" or something like this), before daytraders make cash with these cheap coins.

We are lack of funds, so this could be unlikely; also, it could also not be wise to do so. Some IPO coin projects do support this kind of buying support, but in my opinion, market is the market which should reflect the real situation; big intervention could be lead to misunderstanding for the miners.

Yeah, I see your point. I think more people should know about Magi. Each miner, no matter if asic, gpu or whatever miner can use his cpu. No extra costs, no huge efforts. And even if they are mining just a few coins, bringing just some extra kh, it increases the network/coin. More or less: Every miner (not only) at this board could join our little community.

My CPU runs 24/7 for Magi, my coins are sleeping in the wallet and if I have some free funds, I buy some cheap coins on the exchanges. That's not much but my contribution.

Strange to see miners(are they?) sell XMG at bottom prices of even 2100sat. Seen the time and energy it takes to mine a XMG, they must be selling at a loss.
Anybody got a clue?

Many pools allow to set the wallet address of an exchange instead of your local wallet (i.e. Cryptsy autosell). Probably one reason why selling so low.

Which Windows CPU miner is best to use?  Was gonna setup the free VPS mining but looking at things I think I would prefer to just mine with my own CPU, MUCH higher hashrate.

Depends on your CPU. Some members provided optimized versions for certain cpus. What CPU do you want to use?

Is livechains still in business? Looks like they are closing down. What other services do you know SparkedDev?

Interesting offer. Do you have some more details, examples of pools you've already setup,...? Are you using MPOS, NOMP,...?

Do you guys get higher mining rewards?

at least I as a small miner do. The last days often 1 coin a day, now currently 15 within the last 24 hours. Great, well done!!

What is your hashrate?

With 2 desktop cpus and 2 VPS a total of 40-48 kh/s only

Joe, I've tried another VPS host as I have some issues with the DO server (but it's still mining).

Found Vultr.com (in case someone wants to use my reflink, click here).

The smallest SSD VPS is $5 a month, if you deposit $5, you get another $5 from them (you can even pay with Bitcoin). VPS is a bit better compared to DO for the same amount of money, unfortunately unlike DO you will have to spend $5 at least (no free credits when using a reflink). Setting up the server and miner works more or less similar to your DO guide.

With DO I'm getting around 10-12 kh/s, with vultr I'm mining twice as fast as with DO. You can check it, the worker is vps2 at nonce pool, as I'm signed up with your POM you should have my data.

You probably want to add this to your first page or VPS instructions.

So what about the offer with MPOS preinstalled? Would be interested.
