Collecting and trading as well as teaching newcomers the ins and outs of the metal markets and about the pieces produced in general is something I really enjoy doing, so please don't hesitate to ask.

Isn't that entirely their problem though? A foolproof system doesn't exist. Something where someone can easily pay without caution is outside of the realm of reality. Even given the absolute best possible forum trust system that we could ever possibly attain, blindly trusting anything is a bad move. All we can do is provide some tools that might help people form their own opinions. You can't call something bad because its purpose doesn't fit your expectations. You could call it bad if it is misleading people into false expectations, but I've seen more often than not that is a personal problem and not a system problem.

My only arguments against the trust system are as I said before, it would be more appropriately named a feedback system rather than trust system. I would say a basic "how to" would be useful as well, but that wouldn't really work, as people are free to interpret feedback any way they want. I described how I personally interpret it, but it might work perfectly for others in another way.

I was curious so I looked into it but found so much conflicting information I'm not sure what is right. Some sources say .999 silver isn't taxed, some say only legal tender coins aren't taxed, some say they aren't taxed as all except when you go to sell. I'm not knowledgeable enough about Canadian financial laws to determine what the right answer is. Either way, do what has worked for you.

One of the beauties of small increment silver bullion right now is that its incredibly rarely faked. The fakes that do exist are beyond terrible and so easy to pick out with the eye that they are a non issue. I actually saw a really good fake silver eagle one time, and it turns out it cost somewhere around $40-50 to make, which is hilarious because the real ones are half that price. In about 6 years of minor silver trading, I dont think I've ever had anyone try and pass off fake silver bullion to me. Alternatively, the first time I ever try and buy gold over 1/10th of an oz, the first thing I get is fake. I will definitely keep what you said in mind next time I order, and see about picking up 90% coinage. I've got one order coming in this week but its just a single 500 gram Geiger Silver Bar. I'll resume ordering when I get back from vacation. Nothing sucks worse than having metals left in your mailbox for a week while you are out of town.

I cant bring everything to the table that large online dealers can, but I attempt to make up for that with quick shipping times, very competitive pricing, and quick responses/customer service. I'm sure you will be pretty excited by what you get when they arrive 

I do ship to Canada. I just ask that international customers are aware of their own importation laws. My postage printing software alerts me of what can and can't be shipped before printing a label, but it doesn't give in depth info like if any VAT is applicable and if so at what value threshold and what %. Canada is pretty easy given North America's trade agreements, so it isn't nearly as much of a problem as say shipping to Australia.

I don't have any junk silver coins at the moment, but every time I place an order I find myself looking at them. I've sold 90% silver coins before and found that there was relatively little interest so I've been hesitant to order more. That said, I probably will purchase US Silver Quarters/Dimes/Half Dollars as well as the older seated liberties/walking liberties etc in the near future. I don't know that much about foreign silver coins so its not very likely that I'll order many of those, but that could change.

Its not perfect, but if you use it properly, it serves its purpose really well. My suggestions are to first, completely ignore the numerical score of trustworthiness. Green or Red trust means very little. Before you trade with someone, read their trusted and untrusted feedback. Ignore anything from members you don't personally trust. If there is a negative, read the description of why they got that negative. If there isn't a link attached with an explanation, take the person's words with a grain of salt. If there is a link attached, read the report and interpret it how you like. Check the date of feedback, just because someone was trustworthy in 2014 doesn't mean they haven't sold their account. If you are suspicious that someone has sold their account, ask for a signed message from a previously public btc address. If you aren't 100% completely satisfied that someone is trustworthy in your opinion, use escrow. If its not worth the other party's time to jump through a couple of hoops, then its not worth your time to potentially get scammed.

I've said it quite a few times before, if anything about the trust system is stupid, its that its called a "trust" system rather than a feedback system. Its meant to be a handy tool to help people research into who they are trading with, not whether or not they are trustworthy.

I dont at the moment. For starting out, larger than 10 gram bars take too much capital and lock it up until someone purchases it. I could either stock a 1 oz gold coin or 70 ounces of silver for example, I have a lot better turnaround on 70 oz of silver vs waiting for one buyer who is interested in 1 oz of gold.
