I don't understand what you mean by closing the session with telnet, but I can ping the IPs just fine. I get back responses from them. My wallet used to connect and I earned lots of coins and then it stopped a few weeks ago and never connected again. Sucks because like this I cannot move all the coins I have. I have tried on two computers and get the same result. Do not understand what is going on.

Sorry I have not followed the discussion closely, you can try the following things:

  • Make sure you are using the newest version of the wallet
  • Install the wallet software on a PC that you have not installed the wallet on before, or alternatively delete peers.dat in the data directory
  • Try using a VPN for the case that your internet provider is blocking connections or alternatively try out a different network (e.g. by going to a friend or family member who has a different internet provider)
  • Disable any antivirus software or desktop firewall which might be blocking connections

I did all this. I have the newest version of the wallet. I have installed it on a PC at work as well as two PCs at home. Clean install on one at work and one clean install at home. I have tried Tunnel Bear VPN with no joy and at my work it is a completely different ISP. I have checked the firewall and it is not blocking connections.

The wallet is occasionally connecting to one peer but it will disconnect after a short time. During the past three days it connected two days for a short time and I actually earned some coins but would be better if the wallet would stay connected all the time and to connect to more than one peer. I have used several peer lists I have found (and one posted here) and it makes no difference.

A simple test will be this ...

Get yourself a 'trial' or test VPS somewhere, or even a cheap one somewhere (like Digital Ocean - where we have a lot of ours) and follow the same procedures on that VPS. ISP like Digital Ocean do not have the restrictions that most home ISP have or are forced to have.

Follow the instructions to setup the VPS. Install the wallet (or compile if using linux of any flavour) and start the daemon there. Watch what happens.

If the SAME issues exist there, then you will need to look further into the issue.
If the issue has disappeared, then your local installation is the problem and will more than likely be the ISP itself for any reason.

Windows is the WORST OS to use for staking or MN in these sorts of cases due to the rubbish that comes with a standard OS like Windows. Which is why AntiVirus/AntiMalWare has always been big business. If you know ANYTHING about linux (we use Fedora but most use Ubuntu, though you can use almost any flavour of linux), then learn how to install and use that OS instead. It is a steep learning curve for those that don't know it, but is a far safer method of initiating a wallet like ESP for staking or anything else for that matter.

We will have a test of this when we get time, and it will be under CentOS 7 x64 if we can get it compiled in that linux distro, but that won't happen until we have the time. When we had our pool (http://citrine.chainworksindustries.com) running, the daemon/wallet was compiled under Debian and worked with only a few nodes added to start it. We had not tried the latest code though, so I cannot speak about the latest version.

#crysx

I will try Digital Ocean but I suspect the reason is due to being in Thailand. For some reason peers won't connect. I have tried on three different Thai ISPs all with the same result. Every few days the wallet will connect to one peer only for a short while and disconnect. I would say it is only connected less than one hour every three days or so.

After letting the wallet run several hours with the new peers still no connection. Do not understand why the wallet will no longer connect to any peers.

It happened to me once, but it was with another coin, my firewall was blocking the access attempt of the wallet, but I put in the exception and connected quietly.

And just a suggestion, make sure the wallet is not being blocked by your firewall or anti-virus

Firewall was first thing I checked. Above suggestion did not help. Still not connecting to any peers. :-(

Have you tried to close connection using telnet? Is your service provider not blocking the specific ip?
Telnet on windows:
telnet 144.76.78.141 22448

And also try to ping the ips, see if it returns a package.

If it does not close the connection or can not ping then the problem is in the provider, because here I performed the tests and closed connection and can ping the ips.

I don't understand what you mean by closing the session with telnet, but I can ping the IPs just fine. I get back responses from them. My wallet used to connect and I earned lots of coins and then it stopped a few weeks ago and never connected again. Sucks because like this I cannot move all the coins I have. ...but I think there is a problem with the new driver, they find them as an "Unknown device from BioMetrics".
Fairly sure that has happened before... I believe when the Trezor T first came out... SatoshiLabs is using a "free" USB Vendor ID rather than paying for their own Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I went to the "wallet.trezor.io" page and it asked me to install the Trezor Bridge 2.0.25, so I downloaded and installed it... during install it said to disconnect the device, I did... the installer completed and came up with "Start Trezor Bridge" prompt... so I clicked OK.

I went back to the browser and clicked refresh... it said to connect my device, so I did and then Windows 10 popped up a little notification in the corner saying it was setting up "TREZOR".

So, yes... it does indeed sound like you have a driver issue. It is possible that the Trezor Bridge is not running (hence why the device was "unknown". Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Trezor Bridge... and make sure you have the "start Trezor Bridge" option selected... then open the wallet.trezor.io page and connect the device when prompted.

Similar thing is happening to me. I could update my Trezor T with no issues but my two Trezor One's cannot be updated. When I plug them into the computer (Windows 10 latest update) in bootloader mode the computer says USB device not recognized. Same thing with two original Trezor devices.

My wallet stopped connecting to the network a few days ago. No matter what version I try it will not connect. Also, none of the newest versions will run. I get some exception thrown by Windows about some runaway exception error and it shuts down the program. What is going on with Espers?

TREZOR partnered with GRAY and created a new brand Corazon - a limited edition of devices built on Trezor Model T is available for pre-order. The cheapest model costs $942 SGD (~$695 USD) and the most expensive one which is limited to 100 pieces costs $2028 SGD (~$1500 USD). The only difference is that these devices are made of titanium. Functionality remains the same. More information can be found here.

Stupid and waste of money.

Really good and useful development - I think things will go well, many will want to buy. What is the approximate value of the device and when the sale is planned. It is also interesting with what currencies it is planned to work. Is it possible to exchange different currencies using the device in the future - by the type of exchanger. Thank you for your reply .

OMG! Really Here, just go buy yourself one already.

Hey,

I found something interesting,

Case scenario:
  1. Plug-in your Trezor One.
  2. Go to "Receive" Tab.
  3. Click "Show full address".
  4. Don't "Check address on TREZOR".
  5. Close your browser / disconnect from wallet.trezor.io.
  6. Don't unplug your Trezor One.
  7. Open wallet.trezor.io again - even after a day or more.
  8. You can login without entering the PIN.

What do you think about it? Safe or need an update?  ;-)

Best wishes.

You enter your pin to enable the USB interface from the Trezor one to computer. It is up to your own personal security to unplug the Trezor one to log it out. I would never leave mine plugged in all day or overnight like that. When I finish the current transaction I unplug it straight away.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: August 17, 2018, 04:11:06 PM
@Claymore
It seems there's a correlation between using temps/fan control from the miner and "NVML: cannot get fan speed, error 999 (an internal driver error occurred)" errors, causing application restart (worker restart in my case)
The rig is Win10 with 10*1060*6gb and and latest drivers. I'm using -mclock and -pwlim with no issues running v11.9, but as soon as I set -tt into anything it will lead to the error above within minutes.

I have better results with MSI AB than Claymore on Nvidia

Well... and my conclusion from the experience with MSI AB: do anything you must in order to avoid installing AB on your workers.

Anyways I had serious stability issues with this 10*1060 rig (lately it never held over 5-6 hours of constant work) , it was behaving like it had some problems with electricity/raisers/contacts.
It was constantly restarting/and occasionally hung in a way that only power down/up would make it recover. Reset wasn't doing the trick.

Fresh system image and NO AB install and now I have it running stable at 24.1MH at actually higher mclock than it was before and no issues whatsoever for 21+ hours.

I also have a couple rigs that restart every 4-6 hours. Is there a log file in win7 that would give insight as to whether specifically AB or other driver was at fault? I've been assuming it was just an OC/ temp thing, but hard to figure out which card is at fault so I end up lowering OC on all of them.

Have you looked at the Claymore log files to see what is causing the issues? Claymore log files are very detailed.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: August 17, 2018, 11:37:45 AM
Do not forget about the huge airdrops that have passed.

If you buy btx before airdrops and sign up your adress from first airdrop, would you be at least at positive 0 now in usd price?
If you bought Bitcore before the start of the airdrop, it would be in a very big plus. The price was then just as low. Those people who bought later were hurt.

There are not hurt unless they sell. The only other way they can hurt is if BTX becomes valueless. Otherwise, the smart move is to hold and wait.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Who is mining right now? on: August 17, 2018, 07:49:02 AM
I am still mining (one rig out of four) and it is not very profitable. I break even or make a slight profit and hold the coins for the future. I believe most quality coins, especially BTC, will go up in value again. Then my mining now would become very profitable at a later date. The other rigs were broken down and I am selling the GPUs, motherboards, power supplies, etc.
