How do you claim bitcore if you hold some BTC or is that part over.I mean will there be constant snapshots of BTC balances into the future?

Use the electrum hardware claiming wallet. You can also use it to enter private keys. Then send the BTX to a new wallet.

not sure if this is the best place to ask about this but here goes:

i bought zcoin on cryptopia, downloaded the official wallet from zcoin.io, it is still syncing, i generated a new receive address and tried to withdraw the coins to my wallet, but i get the message from cryptopia that the address is not valid. I generated another address with the wallet and tried that but it was also invalid according to cryptopia. What gives? the addresses are listed below. Thanks!

Cryptopia is messed up. My wallet says both your addresses are valid addresses. If I change any character the address windows turn red. Your addresses it likes unless I change them.

How long does it typically take for a Zcoin transaction to confirm? I transferred some Zcoin from my miningpoolhub account to my account at TDAX exchange and after 50 confirmations and 12 hours, the deposit hasn't shown up on TDAX.  Is this typical or has something gone wrong?  This is my first Zcoin transfer so I'm unfamiliar with the confirmation time.

Something is definitely wrong. The transaction at TDAX should show pending right after tx is sent. I believe they make it available after 6 confirmations. Contact them via chat with the tx number and they should be able to get it credited to your account as long as you sent it to the correct deposit address for your account.

Thanks for the reply. I figured something had to be wrong. I’ve sent them an email and their chat is unavailable today. This is the transaction and mine is the second one of ~1 Zcoin: https://explorer.zcoin.io/tx/270e15e709ffabca986b8eb7d39efd3d113b94316cc3e96faa85f69db8113820

If you leave a message on the chat it will most likely get answered later today. You can also get their phone number by clicking the DBD link at the bottom of the page and call them.

Thanks again - the deposit finally showed up on TDAX overnight, more than 12 hours after it was sent. I assume this length of time for Zcoin transactions is atypical and probably an issue at the TDAX end?

I am having a similar issue with TDAX right now but ETH. I sent a deposit which has over 80 confirmations. It is supposed to be fully confirmed at 50. Normally the deposit will show pending almost immediately, but this one does not show at all. Waiting for them to reply to chat with tx number, etc. Issues like this occur too often with them. I wish they would get their system working more robustly. Always get it fixed eventually but should not have problems so often. Probably at least 50% of the time have some issue with a tx.

Might have been better if you spelled the word privilege correctly?
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: January 30, 2018, 08:06:59 AM
My opinion about BTG is quite skeptical. Of course it may not like many, but still I think that all the forks of bitcoin are by and large not needed. They do not do anything new, of course, maybe they were temporarily popular, while they were faster than bitcoin, but now, as everyone knows, bitcoin integrates lightning into the network. And now what? It remains only the mining. But in fact

Forks of bitcoin are money grab, get rich quick schemes by the devs. Especially United Bitcoin which basically stole everyone's coin with their very rigid qualification rules. Most are crap and should go away.

Can anyone tell me what happened to the volume on Bit-Z? We went from over $1 million daily volume to less than $10,000. WTF Huh

Yes I am pretty sure I can, bots happened. They compromised of most of the volume that was on Bit-Z and once that issue was taken care of then the volume vanished just as well. It is a bit unfortunate but now we have the true volume of Bitcore present, which is best. Another exchange wouldn't hurt either Smiley.

The biggest hindrance to the growth of BTX is lack of a decent exchange. I'm going to keep saying it until it become reality. We need to get listed on Binance. That should be our #1 priority. We need to get on the list of "Coin of the Month" and every member of the Bitcore community needs to register to Binane, buy a fraction of a BNB Coin and vote for BTX. If we do that, we'll get enough support to get listed on there. We need Binance and there's no other way around it.

+1 and Bittrex

Atypical but not unusual. I have a few issues with TDAX but they always fix it. I have had missing BTG and BTC deposits and had to contact them to get them credited. I also had ETH deposits with hundreds or thousands of confirmations that showed pending but did not credit the account but also support got that fixed. Also had issues with withdrawals but always got it fixed. They are new and have growing pains; but honest and they will always fix the issue in a reasonable amount of time. Not like other exchanges that ignore people. Overall, TDAX is good but on some coins liquidity is very low.

BTW, I moved all my ZCOIN back to TDAX a week or so ago as they operate a ZNODE and are paying 88% of ZNODE revenue to customers; so my coins might as well earn me some money. I usually don't leave coins in an exchange but I think they are safe there. When I sent the coins there showed immediately as pending and fully confirmed in about an hour.

The Airdrop seems to be very late this monday. Is the Snapshot still done and only the airdrop is missing? Maybe i can still get my maturing Coins from bitcorepool for this monday Wink

Yes, it was late. Just got my airdrops. Thanks devs for all of your hard work. This is a great coin!

I have successfully claimed BTR and i can see my balance, but now what can  I do with it. I don't see any "Send" options to send BTR to other BTR address. Do I need to activate 2FA for that?

Cannot send yet. No active blockchain (at least one with public access) yet and no exchanges yet. This was first step.

412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: January 29, 2018, 12:33:23 AM
I am using Claymore ZCash/BTG Miner v12.6 with Windows 10 for some AMD gpu cards.  I decided to mine a different coin that has the Equihash algorithm.  After I open the .bat file Claymore opens and immediately displays in red font "Unknown Option" for the wallet address.  Claymore continues to run, it connects to the mining pool server, the hash rate speed is fine.  Why does Claymore not recognize the wallet address I have entered in the .bat file?  What is wrong?

The wallet address is used with EWBF for my Nvidia card and it works fine with that miner.

This is what Claymore displays after I run the .bat file:

C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\Desktop\Claymore Miner v12.6>ZecMiner64.exe   -zpool pool.com:5555  -zwal wallet address.worker  -zpsw z  -ftime 1  -i 6  -tt 75  -allpools 1
UNKNOWN OPTION wallet address.worker

Got the same problem Sad

You have to replace "wallet address" with the address of your wallet or login name for your mining pool and change "worker" to your worker name. Since there is a space between wallet and address it thinks you are trying to input an option. Also, why are you tlrying to mine the worker without putting in your info to get paid? You also need to change "pool.com:5555" with the URL with the address and port of the mining pool.

Hi guys,
I consider buying some Verge. However I have seen some verge review, that says they have an unreliable development team. Is that true or is it just a FUD ?

This is true. Lots of missed promises and deadlines in the past.

This is first time I saw this distribution and registration. I don't see my address among registered that means I lost the chance forever ? Will not be everyone who holds Bitcoin qualify automatically in distribution like fork type model ? I will dig in more to see if my chances are alive or are gone for good.
In order to qualify to the 1st airdrop you need it to register and sign with up to 5 BTC address, no balance was need it. However for the second airdrop you need it to register and sign with all your BTC addresses you have with non zero balance . All this during the allowed period, which already ended.

looks like BTC holder have no rights to claim their own BTR share from the fork
unbelievable

It is not a fork. It is a new blockchain that had an airdrop. A very small airdrop. Had to be fast on the draw to get into it. There is only ever going to be 2.1 millon coins. 10% of the number of coins possible in the Bitcoin blockchain.

I've been a DGB holder for a while and want to get more involved as I think its a fantastic coin. I'm getting a new mac laptop soon and am thinking of doing some dgb mining. Does anyone have experience with mining on a laptop, is it easy to set up etc.

You cannot mine DGB with a laptop. You need a GPU mining rig or at the least a computer with a discrete graphics card. You can also buy an SHA Asic miner but there is a hard fork coming that will change some of the algos (my guess is SHA is a goner) so I would not suggest investing in anything like that right now. You can set up a GPU rig to mine DGB with the Skein algo. Also, you can mine many other coins even more profitable and use the proceeds to buy DGB (you might get more coins that way). Good luck.

Has this project been abandoned? The OP and miner have not been updated in over 13 months. Last release of the program was December 07, 2016.

what's a bit worrying to me, is the many people who got in around 1200, shit their pants now and may cash out once it gets back there. probably going to be a tough resistance around 1300 to break once we get back there.

Recent events have got me thinking about what the actual intentions of VERGE are.
The decision to use libraries/technologies that are limited to a specific platform leads me to believe that VERGE is more so for the financial gain/benifit of the developers rather than mass adoption of a privacy coin.

That is true of 99% of the new coins created. Devs and their immediate circle are trying to get rich. Very few people actually care about crypto and the techonology as the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto did.

Do you recommend to buy a new Trezor after claiming BTX from the snapshot last year with my Trezor hardware wallet?

Why? Claiming with Trezor is safe. No risk to other coins. You can always reset it and have it use a new seed also. Why need to buy a new one?

Probably a question that has been answered a million times over - but my google-fu was being weak today, why is Bitcore not on any of the masternodes websites like MN pro?

Because Bitcore is not a masternode coin. Its proof of work only Check Bitsend if you are looking  for one.

That's what i thought, then i saw this

https://www.btxcoin.com/#Masternodes

Is this just incorrect info or ?

Not the same coin. That is some old shitcoin that is already gone.
