@ Wafflemaster: I still have an S1 left for sale.... Cheap, and makes a great Christmas decoration, too!
I suspect your theories about how fast block times will catch up with a drop in hashing power is off by a large margin. We shall see how it plays out, because the die is cast.
More like three to six months for difficulty to adjust due to extremely slow blocktimes. This will put further downward pressure on BTC price and more miners will go offline. Thinking just a certain percentage and double the regular time is linear thinking. Thinks like this happen as a geometric function best described with calculus. Don't forget that if block times slow down the supply of fresh coins will slow down as well. This should help the price. And I don't think a drastic hashrate drop like 50% is realistic, not yet anyway. There are places with really cheap power, there are prepaid hosting contracts, hobbyists, and other factors that will keep it going. More likely there will be a combination of some kind - hashrate will decrease somewhat, fewer coins will be dumped, price will stabilize/rise - until it reaches a new equilibrium. Yeah I'm not worried at all for Bitcoin. It's so useful and innovative. Paycoin2 on the other hand, I'm very worried about. It has quite literally nothing but hot sauce and is only trying to be more like (In Garza's words) "Big Brother" by adding features we already have with Bitcoin. I mean, seriously people, how ignorant do you have to be to believe what he's telling you so he can line his pockets? lol the hot sauce is running bone dry for this maybe homero can remoisten that bone with his lips and amber can watch

Most don't. The vast majority that publicly hype XPY/GAW have little to no faith in it privately. The fact that people are stuck in their investment is about the only thing holding people do it.

Its pretty sad when his wife has to edit/correct his posts. Why would both parents be in on the same scam? Now they're both going to get arrested and the kids won't see their parents for 10+ years. BWAHAHAHAHA! Ain't that the truth!

How does anyone still take this guy seriously?

I'm sure that albundy takes him seriously (apparently unbanned by the lizard again). And PCfan does too, epic story. Here is Homero bragging about realeasing bots on the XPY market: This is how Josh manipulates his clients : https://hashtalk.org/topic/25119/gaw-is-about-to-move-the-markethttps://archive.today/erGhzI have heard many of you ask:
Since Paybase will buy our coins at $20, what's stopping me from buying now at a lower price and selling?
The answer is: all the enterprise accounts we just set up at all the major exchanges. We are going to start aggressively pushing the market up ourselves.
Want to know how we will offer a $20 floor? The answer is easy. We will move the market with our buying power. The market will be above the floor.
...
My little bots are everywhere.
@Allen1980s I threw the one up ok cryptsy. Just for you
https://hashtalk.org/topic/25190/what-floorhttps://twitter.com/gawceo/status/547037721727107072https://archive.today/CVIzaDid someone say something about a floor? Target price is $25.$25 is where we take a breath #XPY
Indicating that he is directly manipulating the market for a target price of 25USD instead of 20USD to get more of his existing clients and new greedy victims to buy in. Over the last 5 hours we have seen his wall shoot the market up to ~16USD to than crash to around ~13.8USD far short of 25 dollar wall. They are combining the spam marketing promotion with social marketing hype to feed off of their quick market manipulation which is trivial to do with such thin volume. Than he goes on to hedge his bets from the disappointing turnout by making comments like this: https://hashtalk.org/topic/25210/i-am-calling-on-youI am calling on you not to look at XPY as a stock or profit vehicle.
That's the exact thinking that makes BTC the way it is.
XPY is a currency; it should be treated like you treat your cash. Spend it on things.
....
Which is ridiculous because there has been no merchant adoption of the coin and paybase still isn't open so he is asking people to spend it on things when they cannot while simultaneously pumping it as a get rich scheme with that spam blast and than chastising people for treating XPY like a profit vehicle. You are being manipulated and this is going to end badly. To my knowledge there has been one person publicly brag about using bots on the XPY exchanges- Homero Garza. He said that was a great thing, now the same morons who were in awe of that now also believe that the bots are evil and Homero is a hero for getting them off the exchanges. You simply can not make up backwardzo world shit like this. Homero: I am releasing bots on the XPY exchanges! GAWbelievers: WOW! You are our hero, you industry innovator! Homero: I am getting all of those evil bots off the XPY exchanges! GAWbelievers: WOW! You are our hero, you industry innovator!

Why is CryptoCoinNews so deeply littered with these advertisements...does Josh Garza have a stake in them?
Weeding this company out of existence will help the whole community. Just look at these clowns trying to organize their pump and dump publicly.
It reflects poorly on the whole community when these douche-bags steal from anyone within it. Don't do business with these guys, and if you're holding, don't get stuck holding the bag. As far as any floor is concerned... They don't have the money to back this up.

Paycoinnovation: Blatantly stealing other peoples work and passing it off as your own to other less informed individuals. Example: Homero Hashking Garza tried innovating until he realized paycoinnovating is much easier and more profitable.

Probably because they're trying to pay the bills. Controversy sells. Why is CryptoCoinNews so deeply littered with these advertisements...does Josh Garza have a stake in them?

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this whole Paycoin fiasco.
If its a scam: it is the worst run scam ever. Garza does not come across as a slick conman to me. A good con artist would not KEEP running off at the mouth like this guy does. It is apparent he cannot stay away from keyboard despite all the trouble it gets him in.
Is this a case of gross incompetence or is it a young, frenetic, guy with a grandiose plan that executes and organizes badly?
You also have to ask about his team. How skilled are they? Paybase is no hell. Does Josh hire anyone who says they can code and then abandon them to the task?
Did Gaw have the funds to pursue development in the first place? 'Let's make a bunch of promises now to bring in some bucks and fix things later. People love me.'
We know for sure he mislead people with promises and timelines.
Despite the arguments its all bad for Paycoin and investors.

200k customers + 2k new customers per day, yet only ~6000 xpy wallets are being used. Seems legit.

Looks like you're answering most of your questions yourself I think there isn't much doubt regarding incompetence and poor execution - even on HT nowadays. The dispute is mostly whether the intent (or at least some of it) was malicious, and whether the company can actually deliver something in the future. I look at the value of Paycoin as a sort of a bet on that future, and it seems there's no shortage of gamblers there.
