Once theymos places the value of his bonds at the time of the contract as he claimed is fair, [...] Does theymos know the time of the contract? It seems this would be a prerequisite. Clearly the draft was dated. The real contract, assuming there was one, should be shortly after? Edit: I know this seems half baked but we must stay in the good grace of our leader. What else can we do? anyway he has access to all the info needed I am sure. If not he can ask OP.

So will the gold bugs start fleeing the ship and buy some BTC? No way. Gold bugs are all about the physical. Their 40 year scenarios involve a global meltdown and general SYSTEM FAILURE, a "gold" that requires a functioning internet and power system would be laughable to them. at least they won't be able to post on blogs that their 10 year daily prediction of doom finally came through.. if they hate the internet so much why do they yap the most on it? That is the same reason most PM bugs claim that something not physical that doesn't have "intrinsic value" does not and can not have value. The internet can't be touched yet it has value, and youtube, etc etc etc exactly. just what does Peter Schiff think he's been using all these years to blab his message and build his gold business worldwide? air? partly, but mostly electrons.

Let's just wait for the OP to confirm he agrees to abide by Theymos' ruling (if he wants to) and for Theymos to advice on a settlement price and this topic can be closed.
This should be interesting. I do not care if OP is okay with it or not. theymos clearly is the one who makes the rules here. theymos after all confirmed the PMs showing how deeply he is concerned with the issue. Most free thinking people would need a warrant to do what theymos did. There clearly is no stopping theymos from resolving this, he has me by the balls. If I do not obey who knows what he will do.

i am happy to announce there is going to be a solution to this. Gurrty will get back his fair valued "investment" as suggested by theymos. The first step is to find the value of the assets traded for the contract as theymos advised. Since theymos is GLBSE owner he is the best fit to advise how much the asset traded was worth.
We will wait for the owner of GLBSE, theymos, to respond before the arrangement of the payment.
theymos, please advise us on what your assets were worth at the time.
Thank you for your advice and assistance in this matter.
After all of the side-stepping and attention diversions it is good to hear you will be doing this. Let's see what actually happens as talk is still very cheap. As for your "diversions" that is bull shit. I do not agree with theymos and his orders but he is boss of this forum and owner of GLBSE. I will repay OP as theymos thinks is just but as GLBSE owner theymos needs to tell me what his bonds were worth at the time. Once theymos places the value of his bonds at the time of the contract as he claimed is fair, the payment of funds will be directed to OP as he sees fit. theymos, I await the fair value price of the bonds you sold. Please advise. I am willing to follow your commands. lol uh ok... Kiss ass some more. Your diversion tactics are childish at best. But good luck to you in repaying your "debt" which was said to be a "loan" but wasn't a loan or whatever lolz. I am not kissing ass, I am doing what I am told. Edit: I wonder how much Gurrty said he would give theymos if he "fixed" the issue.

other than getting to show their logo and hand out some cards, what do they gain? its not like anyone can buy beer with btc... Edit: "By getting people hooked on bitcoin at an early age, there is a better chance for bitcoin to be around years from now." not really cool.

Enough already with this Bitstamp FUD. The situation at MtGox was completely different, with MtgGox there were withdrawals problems, meaning that withdrawals were being ridicoulously delayed or not processed at all.
What is happening at Bitstamp is just that the are requesting a lot of info to avoid money laundering issues (which is very understandable, even if i agree that the measures are excessive...). The withdrawals after having sent the info actually WORK.
When we will have withdrawal issues we wil talk about it. now it's FUD.
i have been away, what is going on at bitstamp? To put it in a nutshell: Some Reddit guy posted that he has to answer detailed questions on Stamp so that he can withdraw funds, therefore Stamp MUST be Gox. interesting, was the guy in the usa? is there a link? Here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/26apno/bitstamp_will_not_process_withdrawal_unless_you/
