581  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5970 users - Avg Mhash/s on: March 13, 2011, 08:31:51 PM
Get MSI Afterburner. Im running both my 5790's cards at 850mhz voltage of 1100 and memory at 1025 and getting like 315mhs per core w/ this switch -v -w 128. There is another switch that will get me 330mhps but its not as stable so I dont use it.

Fan control is a bit funny, I set them about 70% and get temps of about 30.

good luck.

582  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Starting out in bitcoin - Dual 5970... on: March 13, 2011, 08:09:27 PM
At the moment I have an eyefinity display, but all three screens go into one card. The miners simply worked right off the bat, but my cards are still in crossfire so not sure if this makes a differance? (Is CCC distributing the load? The second card isn't under as much load as the first but all four miners have the same performance of 250Mh/s-275Mh/s).

What drivers are you using? What build of windows?

583  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Starting out in bitcoin - Dual 5970... on: March 13, 2011, 08:07:55 PM
Snedie, did you have to do anything to start all 4 cores in windows, or did it just work? Did you have to swap your monitor cables around or run 2 monitors (i from each card?)?

Its a real bitch to get all my 4 cores started mining, sometimes it takes me an hour of swapping cables around.
Maybe making one of these (VGA dummy plug) can help.

I tried plugging in 3 monitors and that didnt seem to help me. But I did not have it in crozzfire.

found another block!

Wow, the pool is not very lucky right now.   Sad

Just needs more users. It hit 3 blocks in one afternoon a couple days ago, so statistically it should take a while to hit another at the current computing power. Needs more users.

3 stamps sent out today.

What would you guys pay for a custom stamp like this?

Do you think you could make a STOP INFLATION one and ship to France for, say, 20 BTC?

I will check.
590  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining still profitable? on: March 11, 2011, 06:31:02 AM
No you should probably just ship that card to me.

..but seriously you could just mine with it until it becomes unprofitable then sell the hardware and buy bitcoin with it. You would still make out in the end.
591  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTCMine - new shared mining pool on: March 11, 2011, 02:06:54 AM
So would one still get paid at this point if in pps mode and they racked up say 25 bitcoin in pps mode since the last solved block and his block share woudl only be about 15btc if he was in proportional mode? You still paying out when the block solves, correct? Even if that number ends up being 50 bct?
592  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bounty for BID: 2 ati-5970s. on: March 10, 2011, 11:07:51 PM
I've seen people selling hard drives I just want a live cd I can run from usb disk or even install on the HD.

I've tried several times to install ubuntu, followed the guides and was not able to get around some of the errors I was getting. I dont really understand the syntax's and basic structure of a linux OS so I have a very hard time trouble shooting anything. I would like to essentially use my two 5970's with poclbm to mine solo or via the various pools. I would like links on the ubuntu desktop to the various utilities I would need, if possible.

Payment would be made after confirming that this actually works for me, if it does not and I was given support we can work something out for your trouble.

Due to possible security issues it would be nice to get this from a known member of the community. Please PM me your bid.

Sorry to tell you, but a live CD isn't going to help you off these problems.

Joey,
I understand your thinking, but as I understand it there are people already running there miners with similar setups from custom live cd's.

But you could be right I should change the rules for my post to having someone help me via remote desktop or somthing.
593  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Self Inking bitcoin stamps! PRICE LOWERED! on: March 10, 2011, 11:06:01 PM
Cool idea. I guess I am charging too little! See the prices they are getting!

I have 2 stamps left out of 5.

I will put together some more designs. If I can get deposits on 5 of each I can order some.

Thanks!

What would you guys pay for a custom stamp like this? I could do it, I just dont know how viable it is for me to do it at 14 btc right now. Its very close to my actual cost.

I dont know about shipping to Europe and the costs associated. I will look into it.

I sent Atlas a PM but he has not responded.

597  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Gold And Silver Maple Leaf Coins To Sell For Bitcoins on: March 09, 2011, 10:06:55 PM
I hope you can get what you want for it. I need it in my possession.  I buy most of my silver at buy pricing, no premium. Which is usually a bit lower than spot. Someones always looking to get rid of it.

m0mchil's poclbm is not supported by your pool ?
Tried to connect with jgarzik and everything is fine, but with poclbm all i got is "Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC"

It works just fine Im using it.
