Or we could just wait till fiat goes down and it will be the same Tongue and I cant imagine a plausible chain of events preventing fiat prom collapsing  Grin
Here's one:

No alien invasions happen, no 10km radius asteriods hit Earth, no world wide nuclear war, and no mass extinction events.

Yeah, I know, it's a lot to ask for.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone realize about this? three BIG banks in three different continents are ... on: April 07, 2015, 09:59:45 AM
It's unfortunate so many bitcoiners are delusional to this "decentralized" hype. 99.999% of people don't get a pile of elephant feces about decentralization. No one cares. As far as they're concerned, big banks are a lot more trustworthy than some anarchist internet nerds.

Do you really think that people will one day wake up and realize how glorious decentralization is and how it will solve all of the world's problems? Please.

If bitcoiners actually thought about things from an objective and realistic perspective, and took steps to ensure bitcoins success, I think bitcoin has a good chance. But if everyone is so delusional, then bank or government crypto is going to completely overtake bitcoin, and bitcoin will either die or just used by a few anarchist/libertarians.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: April 07, 2015, 04:11:37 AM

You are clearly wrong

This isn't just a strategy this is a revolution of all of strategies that you ever heard about them in the history of universe .

Another account started by 10k doges
, get x2.2 profit at 5 hours .

What happened to the first one, went bust? I thought so. Dude, if you want to lose money yourself, go ahead. Stop trying to trick other people into it. Don't be such an asshole. Come on, don't you have a conscience?
724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Humans aren't rational. Bitcoin won't be a % of world economy, but a multiple. on: April 07, 2015, 03:16:39 AM

Literally, all you just said is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer with some random story inbetween. Congrats!

Uh, not really. But even if that was true, so what? the vast majority of comments and opinions are not original. Are you going to congratulate every single one of them?
725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Humans aren't rational. Bitcoin won't be a % of world economy, but a multiple. on: April 07, 2015, 03:00:33 AM
The early adopters took a pretty big risk.  I think they deserve any rewards they got/have for that risk.

It depends on what you consider big risk. Some of them bought a few $k worth of Bitcoin back in 2011-2012 and they have had a fantastic return.

You need to have steel hands to not sell your $5 per Bitcoin at the time the exchange rate is over $75 per Bitcoin.
Not really. It just depends on what type of a person you are and what goals/motives you have.

You know, a few months ago I saw this guy screaming and jumping up and down at the lottery stand in a corner store, and I thought, hey, did this guy win the jackpot...

Well guess what, he won a whole 700 dollars. That's right, not 50 million, not 1 million, not even 10,000. Just 700. I saw him a couple days later at the store again, and he was telling people about the "great time" he had at the casino that weekend.

Would he have sold at $75, had he bought bitcoins at $5? No! He would've sold at $7. That's the kind of person you know will stay poor for the rest of their lives.

For me, I wouldn't even be excited if I got $50,000. That's not going to change my life in any way. I don't really need a new car or a vacation. I don't need $50,000. No big deal. So I know I won't sell until bitcoins become at least a certain amount. Even if bitcoin increases 50x from now, I won't even be tempted to sell (unless at that time I knew it was just a bubble, and I could buy back at a cheaper price).
726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a game of conviction on: April 06, 2015, 12:34:27 PM
here's a basic misunderstanding.
The wealth of bitcoin is decentralization!!!
Many people just want to get rich with bitcoin buying to $ 1 and selling at $ 10.
but at the end, will only have dollars ... and will always be slaves of central power of the banks.

that's all.
What's your definition of slave? You can equally say that bitcoiners are slaves of bitcoins.

absolutely NO!
if you wan to do a payment, you do not need a third part bank services...
you manage your wallet.
you manage the payment.

remeber: decentralization it is the key!

that's all.

I don't need a bank to manage my wallet either. I use a bank because it gives convenient services. Decentralization is completely overrated.

727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 06, 2015, 08:49:27 AM
I wonder how many of the "bitcoin companies" are really just "crypto companies", and can easily pivot or add another coin to their service. I think that VCs probably have considered the slight possibility of another crypto overtaking bitcoin, and they would probably want their companies to be able to quickly adapt and become a forerunner of this new coin.

Let's make a bet. If monero reaches parity with bitcoin in 3 years, and given that it wasn't because crypto completely failed (so say the market cap of xmr > 8 billion)

Then I'll invite you to my mansion (that I haven't yet bought, of course) for a week-long feast, party 24-7. Cheesy
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The technology behind Bitcoin is not important on: April 06, 2015, 08:30:38 AM
I think technology is important. It's the most important part of bitcoin. But not details about how the technology works, rather what the technology can enable.

Currently most fiat currencies around the world are quite good, and a lot more convenient to use/obtain than bitcoin. There is very little reason for a normal person who isn't politically motivated to ditch government influence (heck, many people think it's a good thing) to use bitcoin as a currency.

The most important thing isn't to explain in detail how the technology works, but it also isn't regurgitating "decentralization" and down with fiat propaganda. That will probably alienate more people than help them understand the benefits of bitcoin.

What we should do is explain the potential of the technology and how it will enable new convenient and better ways to do things than before, and do things we never thought of before, just as the internet enriched our lives.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 06, 2015, 08:23:03 AM
Are people forgetting the single large volume buys that took us to 400+? Seems weird how people are scared the price went down again.

Monero can realistically replace btc in 3 years (the most optimistic scenario).

No  Cheesy

I am glad that you had such a fundamental arguments backing your point.
Monero is more than 3 years behind in terms of development.
Monero is probably more than 3 years behind in terms of network effects.
Monero is probably more than 3 years behind in terms of being known to the public.
Monero is more than 3 years behind in terms of amount of news sources covering it.

Monero won't replace bitcoin. Not in a long time. And if bitcoin gets replaced by a fully anon coin, chances are it won't be monero. I think monero really should carve out its own niche. There's no need to compete against bitcoin.

The only strategy that works is marry the casino owner.
732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello Is there any genuine Bitcoin Multiplier ? on: April 06, 2015, 07:56:11 AM
I'll tell you what. You can be a genuine bitcoin multiplier and mutliply my bitcoins 100x. Just send me 1000 bitcoins, I'll send you 10 back.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: April 06, 2015, 06:39:44 AM
An interesting, safer, yet slower strategy is to play:

- 2X Payout

- Double your Wager on WIN - Up to 3 Times (Ex. 0.01; 0.02; 0.04)

- After 3rd Win Reset to Base (0.01 in above example)

- Reset to base after any loss.

Try it. Wink

CD

Doesn't work. You still lose in the end.
734  Economy / Gambling / Re: Post here if you don't understand some part of gambling and I'll answer on: April 06, 2015, 06:34:50 AM
How come some people don't understand basic probability and yet think they can out think all previous mathematicans and devise a "winning strategy" when they have a negative EV?
735  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Day in the Life of a Ripple Day Trader on: April 06, 2015, 06:20:21 AM
So... this guy, a logic professor devises strategies for gambling. LOLOLOL.

And he uses playing a lame MORPG (multiplayer online rpg, since it's not really Massive) as basis for his "strategy".

Wow... Who wrote this shit?

I guess now's a good time to ask...

Is there a good way that won't take hours to manually calculate a private-public key pair?
737  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Winklevoss' bitcoin ETF would be the same as Barry Silbert's GBTC on: April 06, 2015, 01:21:55 AM
What if Winklevoss Twins' bitcoin ETF (NASDAQ) would be the same as GBTC (Barry Silbert's Bitcoin Investment Trust, OTCMKTS):

1: NO trades two weeks after official launch, unlikely for ETF, because Winklevoss Twins can't wait to sell their bags (1 million shares = 100k bitcoins), so there would be sell orders soon as ETF goes live!

2: The ETF will only got less than total 75 bitcoins buy orders like GBTC does (GBTC only has 750 shares bid list = 75 btc demand http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/GBTC/quote).

If thing comes out like this, does it mean neither wall street nor average joe is waiting to get in and in fact nobody care about bitcoin?

Why don't you ask hypothetical trolling questions with your main account instead of using a throwaway?

No offtopic bullshit talks, please answer the question itself.
Is "wall street or average joe can't wait to get in" a lie?

I won't comment on whether it's "a lie" or not. But to use a hypothetical question to arrive at a possible answer is just moronic. Seriously, you can do  better than that. There are tons of logically sound reasons why the ETF might not succeed. There are tons of logically sound reasons why bitcoin will not succeed.

Instead, you choose such a logically flawed question.

739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the price of Bitcoin on 1 April 2016 - win CBX (Crypto Bullion) on: April 04, 2015, 06:08:15 PM

740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Bitcoin shut down for 8 hours? on: April 04, 2015, 02:08:24 PM
I don't think "double spend" and "shut down" mean the same thing to most people.
