141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Descending Triangle or Falling Wedge? on: September 30, 2018, 09:10:14 AM
Bitcoin is useless to analyze.
All forecasts are correct only in the past.
Indicators are useful until everyone knows it. Then it becomes useless. I fear these counter indicators has been exposed too much and is now broken.
Lol. Indicators will always be useful as they tend to give you sense of direction, but you also have to understand that as a trader, we are sometimes just like puppets and even as indicators may be giving directions, you also still have to keep in mind that the market can be manipulated which is why there is stop loss.

Nevertheless, if you use indicators as basis and you are able to do your TA well, you will realize that you are still better off with them anyway than not using them at all. This is the reason why a lot of people tend to consider different options when using indicators to make decisions in the market, and no matter how exposed they are, it is not going to change the fact that they still give you a sense of what to do with all things being equal.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What number would ETH and BTC reach for this coming bull? on: September 30, 2018, 04:41:04 AM
I have no doubt BTC will hit $20K again since there is no direct competitor for now for the number one position. But I have second thought on Ethereum because:

1. The ICO game is changing and appetite for gaming has reduced that is why alot fo these projects are having problem raising fund for their ICO
2. The number of competing platforms is on rise with direct competiors from the likes of EOS, Tezos, Wanchian, NEO etc So I don't expect it to be the darling of developers for ICO like before
The ICO game may be changing and that could actually affect the Ethereum market either positively or negatively depending on how the changes come to play but whichever way the first movers advantage will still always be there.

Moreover, we also have to understand that this is a very speculative market at the moment and the truth is that as long as that is in play, any market can still end up being bullish even if it is shitty. Like I always say that if shit coins can rise, apparently someone is buying them and as long as there is manipulation by some whales to instigate FOMO, market can get driven to any price length as the case may be.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when altcoins stop following bitcoin price ? on: September 29, 2018, 04:24:55 PM
As we notice that almost all the altcoins follow the price of bitcoin . I'm just wondering when they will become independent and don't follow the bitcoin price?
That is known trend price of altcoins follows, i don't think altcoins can be independent from bitcoin we have to leave with that reality, it is most recognised it is indispensable.
They can be if we start seeing real life usage and less of speculative driven prices with FUDs and FOMOs. This is the reason why coins and tokens with solid projects will always in the long run tend to do great whichever way and at least based on the fact that there will be users who will find a need to use it for the value it creates, then the possibility of seeing things manifest appropriately is still there.

In that kind of scenario, I believe most of those alts in these categories will be tagged to USD, and then we will be able to see them standalone doing their own thing without being pressured by the bitcoin market as they end up having a market and support of their own.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: jason derulo will make his own coin? on: September 29, 2018, 02:20:27 PM
jason derulo will make his own coin on GCOX platform..it will attract more investor to come?
would this ico will make another bull market coming?
if you all have going to clubbing sure got listen his song exp : wiggle wiggle wiggle
or this just a scam? ask celebrities to scam their fans money?
how do you think?

Its really hard to say if this will bring another bull run. Initially though Pacman (Manny Pacquiao) was on the GCOX platform and we have seen that it didn't bring enough push to the market so I doubt that Jason can bring in more.

But the good thing though is that it might get closer to the adoption that we all have been waiting to happen. Perhaps his fans will try to invest and learn what crypto is all about so there's a possibility that more investors will come into the market.
There is nothing hard to say in this case, it is not possible to see it bring another bull run because it will not. Now, we have to understand one thing, is this just another shit coin with some attempt of some artist to make more money from his gullible fans? That is actually how I am seeing it at the moment.

Well, I am a fan of Derulo, and I love his music and his dance, and I believe I give him a lot already in buying his songs on iTunes, and that is it to it. Unless of course he comes up with some creative solution the coin is going to bring that revolves may be around his music or gives the users some special incentive, it will all remain just another shit coin on the block.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rare coin market on: September 28, 2018, 05:50:50 PM
At this time, investing is preferred. For you to be rich in cryptocurrency, you have to put your eyes when the price has gone down. Investing in such time is always profiting because price might have touched the buttom and getting ready to leave the bear mode.
Investing is always the most preferred way to go when it comes to any bear market. People tend to get scared away from bear markets, but investors always see it as an opportunity to always buy the dips and be patient for the long term as you would not miss it at the long shot of it as long as you are picking the bottom. So, in most cases, it depends on how everyone is picturing the market and the opportunities they are seeing from it, which means it takes being smart to be able to make good market decisions.

Coins will be worth as much as they are used, and every coin will have a certain amount of money to counter inflation as well.
Yes, the worth of a coin is being decided by its application in real world and not definitely due to being rare. Probably OP is denoting "rare" in terms of demand, i.e. when there will be more demand then a coin will become "rare".
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tom Lee, from bitcoin bull to bitcoin bagholder on: September 28, 2018, 01:32:22 PM
But in the interest of discourse, how can we be that certain that bitcoin will go back to $20k, or how can we be certain that it will be bullish again? What if bitcoin now is in its fair price and will stay there for the next 50 years?
Right now, being it (BTC) in a bullish or bearish trend isn't my biggest concern. What I mean here is that whatever happens to BTC in the month or in the next 50 years, it won't (severely) affect the way I live my life especially on the spending side of things because I have other channels where I get my money. I'm here because I just wanted to be involved with it. You can say that I didn't answered your questions directly or I'm just simply on the safe side of this discourse but this is honestly what I felt when I read your statement. I'll be happy when its price increase exponentially and when its price fall into the abyss, I'll just shrug it off and continue with my life.
You have some points there though, but as it is, based on the question asked by bbc.reporter, the fact still remains that nothing is always certain. We could be having a fair price here but that would be dependent on whether bitcoin stagnates and remain in one position or if it does not.

Generally, in my opinion, I believe there is still more room for development and adoption with all that bringing in bullish sentiment in the long run.

Yeah, they are all speculations since we cannot see the future anyway, but there is always a side to everything, which is either go as expected positively and then we see more people wanting to have a piece of the cake for what it really is, or we tend to have the other positive side, but being a believer and seeing the benefit the space brings in the future, I guess I would rather prefer to stay on the optimistic side.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BER MONTHS, still legit? on: September 28, 2018, 12:14:29 PM
So september is going to end and it is already the fourth quarter of the year. Most prediction that once the third quarter of the year or once ber month comes the market will start to pump. But right now the market is still always turning red. So do you still believing that this remaining months the market will start to recover?
Stop listening to every story that you hear. The past is not an indicative of the future and no one can see what the future holds at all. Moreover, we are still in quarter 4 and it has not ended yet, if the chances come for the bulls and they take it, it would be very glaring to everyone that the bulls are in the market. You also have to understand something that, nothing is predictable and the only thing we have is time and trend to make market decisions.

making assumptions is one thing and reality coming to play is another thing, so we still wait while being careful when it comes to making market decisions.
Whatever people here are making speculations on futures of bitcoins and other altcoins, the history is going to repeat itself. Yes, how bitcoin had struggled after making $1k for the first time hen got power to hit $20k, similarly why not now ?

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Telegram Scam!! on: September 28, 2018, 08:18:44 AM
Man Telegram scams are worst. Just yesterday someone posed himself as Brian Armstrong (CEO of Coinbase) with his full pic and all. And then messaged me about how I feel about current crypto market. After few mins he said that he can get me a Bitcoin at 30% discount from the market. I knew he was a scammer so I just went with the flow. Later he gives me an email to which I should contact after creating a Coinbase account. I then blocked the guy.

Just beware of such scammers. No one is gonna give you anything for a discount. Don't reveal your private keys, passwords even if they say they are support representatives. Good thing is I don't have much cryptos, but still staying safe is very much in our hands.
I have even seen some telegram page trying to clone a real project page just to deceive investors into thinking they are the real deal  Grin. I have seen several scammers trying to approach investors directly to pitch rubbish to them.

Honestly, I believe in every type of attempt scammers may want to bring, for everyone who is smart enough, they will always see the handwriting all over the wall, and this is one thing I believe that people by now should have gotten used to when it comes to their ability to get themselves secured from becoming a victim of scammers.

I believe most gullible and greedy people are normally the targets at the end.

150  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Holding Strong on: September 26, 2018, 04:57:47 PM
Although Bitcoin is not in a good state at the moment, it is still the king of the current cryptocurrency, and it is also the world's most watched coin!
Depending on how you want to see it, but bitcoin is in a good state as far as I am concerned. The thing with people is that they tend to always look at things from the negative angle, but one thing you are not understanding with a bear market is that it gives you an opportunity to be buying a lower price and looking forward to getting something substantial in the future.

It is all about planning and knowing exactly what you should be doing at every point in time of the market, but of course, since the only thing people like you see as a good state is when the market just keeps going to the moon, sure, everyone likes profit, but corrections are healthy and normal and they will always repeat again.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three things not to do when Bitcoin prices are down on: September 26, 2018, 04:03:50 PM
Not sold when prices are rising
All of us have bottomed out in the downtrend just to wait until the price goes up.
It seems that every time I get entangled in FOMO and proceed to sell immediately the price of that kind of coin increased.

I just want to chime in to say that this isn't necessarily bad. Selling everytime the price rises could end up losing you money in the long run, especially in the crypto market where growth is explosive. You could easily end up selling below or near the next bottom.

I'd personally say there are really no standard practices when the price dips, other than to make informed decisions unclouded by FUD. There's no real way to avoid losses anyway.
Yeah, there is really none and the most important thing like you said is to always make informed decisions which most times to even be trading the market either short term or long term, requires one to at least have some sort of strategy to be able to know how to make certain market decisions which all amounts to where to buy, where to sell and how you should be managing the risks that comes with it.

Not everyone have the information to know when to sell most of the time, and that can make it hard for them to make important decisions even when market is just doing some short term correction.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All alt coin become shit coins. on: September 26, 2018, 01:17:45 PM
Since Bitcoin holding in good position but alt coins are bleeding everyday. It's look all alt coins become shit coins. I will not surprised if alt coin price become below ICO price. Lol. I was wrong that alt coins holding more profits from Bitcoin. I have more than 50% loss on alt coins. Although I am not going to sale in loss even I have to hold more than years. But I don't think so market will recover soon. There is too much negetive news about crypto currency. And it's already effects on alt coins.

However current situation but I think this is good time to invest on crypto currency. But invest only whatever you can afford loss.
I dont think thats all true. there are altcoins out there which are still alive and trading. you just need to look for more coins to trade with. the reason some coins became shit is because of the failed ICO projects and failed endorsement plus when the concept of the project itself is shit l, then it all comes the drain
People tend to say shitty things actually when the market is in a downtrend and it is highly unreasonable to say that all altcoins are shit coins. Because there are coins with real life applications and due to that reason they have gained remarkable value too then how we can call them shitty.

The thing though with this market presently is that it is highly speculative and there is nothing you can do until that aspect tend to get discarded with real life usage in the long run, this is the reason why you see people not really getting to use the altcoins for the product in which they are based on and I can categorically say for sure that any altcoin without product in the long run will end up dead as there is no 2 ways about it.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or EOS? which coin will survive? on: September 26, 2018, 12:08:28 PM
there are many people who prefer ETH, because ETH is more familiar than EOS. if we compare prices, it is certainly very far from ETH. but there are interesting things about EOS, the technology that is produced is a blockchain architecture that has the potential to scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminate user costs and enable the deployment of decentralized applications quickly and easily.
that causes the possibility of the ETH being defeated but not for now
It is a market and it is obvious that EOS will also have a good chance in the long run as there is no doubt about that but how far it goes can only best be known with time anyway.

I believe that EOS is always going to thrive irrespective of all that has been going on lately with its protocol and the fact that a lot of people are beginning to perceive it as a centralized space, but as it is, I would say buying at this stage is always going to be a good buy for the long run but that does not stop me from diversifying into ETH as well as any other coin with potentials with BTC being the priority anyway.

ETH has been widely used however right from the onset for smart contract platforms and with its protocol improving and developing, I am sure the sky is also its limit. However, no one can tell exactly what the future holds for any coin, which is why it is usually good to diversify and putting funds into the two is not a bad idea.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam projects on: September 26, 2018, 09:19:43 AM
For me, the main sign of a Scam is a referral system to the third level and below and when to offer investments under the floating rate. Cover it all bloccano and other popular words. Immediately run from such projects, it is a regular pyramid, and these projects in our market more and more is created. I hope my description of fraud will help you.
Well, every scammer is always looking for someone to scoop off their hard earned money, irrespective of the ways they want to do it, and the whole HYIP thing used to be the easiest way for them over the years, but now, it is about using the ICO space to project some cloned project to the investors without a project, and the possibility of doing anything at all than to just dash away with some huge amount of money eventually.

As long as you are call yourself an investor, as far as I am concerned, you should always be able to know what you feel is not right and where you should not be putting your money.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's going on with crypto? on: September 26, 2018, 08:01:47 AM
Yes the market are start to grow & just be ready for whatever will happen in the cryptocurrency. Sometimes we will say what happen at this moment at crypto are normal things Cheesy. It is decentralised system, no one can control it & anything can happen.
I am sure this is always the time we get to see excitements and sentiments changing in the market now. For a while now it has been is ETH dead or is bitcoin going to die kind of thing but now I guess we will have to start seeing threads like how far will ADA go and so on ? Nothing has been wrong with crypto and people certainly just like looking for wrong things where there is certainly none. The market had a correction, it is not new and people should just simply get used to that.

no one can know for sure what cryptocurrency will be in the future, it requires confidence and patience in the investment of the good or bad cryptocurrency depending on the investor itself
When investors start ignoring bad cryptocurrencies then the chances of having good cryptocurrencies and their value at high become easily possible but we cannot control anything for that as in a free world everything is just part of us. Only we need to invest into right and promising coins.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: If Facebook promotes cryptocurrency, would it positively promote it? on: September 25, 2018, 07:55:18 PM
Maybe they do everything to achieve a positive effect for their own coin because of their patience but in my openion it is not for the crypto market as an intact.
I thought they would all do anything near them after all the restrictions and slideshare on a blockchain they did. But these statements only mean "according to those who are in it.
Apparently, if Facebook can come up with their own coin, it is definite to see a promotion from that angle and that certainly shows how companies and organizations are beginning to see the advantage and importance that the blockchain technology brings to them. I really would not expect Facebook to just wake up one single morning and be putting up their promotion for cryptocurrency, but at least, with what I said, it should be a good start.

Yes, I see that Facebook can positively promote crypto, and negatively as well. We all know for a fact that social media is a very powerful tool to build and to destroy something or someone.
Social media may be a very powerful tool for promotion, but certainly Facebook Inc. itself will not just start declaring their interest for cryptocurrencies just like that, unless probably they come up with their own cryptocurrency and then projecting the usage out there and the benefit it brings to the users, and in that way, I believe that should still somehow create some awareness for it in the long run and probably make it more like still promoting the crypto space anyway.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: its time to buy ETH? on: September 25, 2018, 07:05:28 PM
Ethereum manage to bounce back somehow, currently forming an upward trend with 14.32 US dollar gain and has the current value of 220.50 almost 7 percent incline, Ethereum is still predicted to go down in the coming days but it seems that its following the market trend. It is a good idea to position now as we do not know which side it will bank.
I am pretty sure with the footprint most of the alt market has been leaving for a while now; no one will need a soothsayer to know there could be a possibility of a trend reversal at this point. Nothing for sure is guaranteed which is why there is always stop loss anyway, but for someone who has really been looking forward to buying ETH, I would say this is absolutely a very good time to be getting in.

Coming days will really show how far the market will go and how much btc will give the market some breathing space. This is because, ethereum's direction of market will be purely decided by how bitcoin will perform. When bitcoin will remain attractive, we can see all the altcoins are marching steadily. Ethereum is not an exception from that.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Crypto-Currency on: September 25, 2018, 06:14:07 PM
Of course it will be a positive news in favor of Crypto world in which the bank and the crypro are working together towards prosperity. The best news regarding banking system supporting crypto currency is JP Morgan in which they will fully adapt Bitcoin and the blockchain technology therefore with these development the future of Crypto currency is more secured.
This is not about the bank and crypto working together, this is about the government trying to see how they can gain control of the space as much as possible. However, this is a decentralized space and unless they want to start bringing up their own centralized currency, a decentralized space naturally removes a third party and that makes it easy for anyone to control the way they spend irrespective of the banks involved. Banks can decide to come in whichever way they like to be able to adapt to the space.

we don't need a central bank for cryptocurrency, this is not going to happen even government will take over in this market because for sure no one will invest. This market is created and meant to be decentralized, its ok to have some regulations but never to control by any government. Crypto central bank is just a dream for every government, we should not support it.
Asides from not needing it, it is not even necessary at all. We are talking about decentralization here, and there is no way having a central bank for the whole cryptocurrency can work unless they just are not getting the picture yet.

Yeah, banks will adopt the technology, they will create their own coin which will be centralized as there is no doubt or two ways about that, and for that reason, it will still not be different from the fiat we already have in play, except that there would be some level of transparency which is what the technology brings.
159  Economy / Economics / Re: Do sin taxes work? on: September 25, 2018, 05:19:07 PM
If there is extra taxes on anything for religious reasons I find it repulsive.
What people do with their life only matters to them as long as it does not affect on anyone else.

If you charge taxes according to religion and put more taxes on beer because its illegal than you are a disgusting person. If however that person who drank the beer than drives his car of course tow it away. The laws only should applied when a person is hurting someone else, that is what laws are for.

Taxes should not be cheaper for bitcoin nor should be higher for beer, I get the luxury status because buying a toilet paper and buying a boat should have different brackets but that is about it.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: The gap between poor and rich countries, a major impediment to global adoption on: September 25, 2018, 04:11:50 PM
That is always the thing and there is nothing that can be done as you will definitely see some factions left out as a result of trying to adapt to technology and how accessible it is for them. Even in the developed countries, not everyone will certainly want to stress themselves with adaptation.

By the way, a lot of Africans are really digging the whole idea of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and you had be surprised at the level a lot of them are seeing it more than those in the developed countries, but at the same time, we know already that this would still be a faction of those who are internet savvies at the end of the day or those who just like adapting technology pretty quick.
