1601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 17, 2023, 12:16:52 PM
I also have to admit that sometimes not having money to invest early is also an advantage. Because we will have a lot of time to learn and research about it before making a final decision. If we rush to invest through advertising or someone's recommendation and do not have any knowledge about it, it will not benefit us.
I also used to lose a lot of money investing in Ponzi projects, I didn't do any research and just focused on the profit I would get. And the price I have to pay is to lose all the money invested.
I would say it depends on the person and the moment. If you have money to invest and it is too late and you buy bitcoin at 68k then you made a mistake. If you do not have money and can't buy it at 68k then that is a good thing because it would have gone down. If you do have money and buy at 16k that is a good thing. But, if you do not have money and can't buy at 16k then that is a very bad thing and missed a chance.

As you can see being able to buy or not be able to buy depends on the price and what you would do. If you were willing to do one but can't things change and depends on the situation. I hope that everyone has money when the price is low, and not have more to invest when it peaks so that you could make a profit.
1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is racist on: April 17, 2023, 06:53:10 AM
Bitcoin is racist according to the SEC. Heil Satoshi!
We trully live in a bizarre world nowadays  Cheesy

I've read a lot of bullshits about cryptos, but this one is amoung the winners.
I thought I had heard the worst when Greenpeace attacked the Bitcoin network with the slogan: "Change the code, not the climate".

So according to them, Bitcoin (and altcoins ofc) creates financial damages to many minority investors because they don't have the knowledge to assess the risks associated with crypto.

In another words, Bitcoin makes them loosing money because people are lazy to learn where they're investing in...
L@@k at FTX and co...
Lol, the poor people-the government made poor by discriminating against minorities has been looking for a way of making more money and risked too much on a third party currency because they knew that government wouldn't let them get rich with fiat, so we are not going to be letting bitcoin continue with this racist move... They must be really drinking some strong stuff, or smoking it I am not sure.

It should be considered that those minorities finally found a place where they could be equals to everyone, their color, religion, race, nationality, nothing matters. Only thing matters here is your investment and how talented you are. If minorities are poor, that is because of governments not giving as much to those as they give to biggest voter base.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 16, 2023, 07:22:24 PM
In today's 1st Test match of Sri Lanka vs Ireland, Sri Lanka scored 323 runs in 70.2 overs. So far Sri Lanka has lost 1 wicket. Nishan Madushka is out for 29 runs off 48 balls. Sri Lanka team batsman is batting very well.  Started performing badly. If Ireland could have done better bowling then Sri Lanka would not have scored so many runs. Sri Lanka is a very strong team in the batting line so I think Sri Lanka can score good runs today.
Day 1 sirlanka is All set to score a big target for Ireland  who failed in balling and couldn't put any pressure on sirlankan batsman . Sirlanka already made 380 runs with two centuries on score board , only 3 wickets gone and still they have 2 days so they can easily give trail of 500 to Ireland.
There is no interest in this match from big cricketing community while we have IPL matches are also under progress after winning toss Sri Lanka elected to bat first, and we have big partnership which ends in last few overs of the day and both ended with hug scores, but Irish bowlers have some good news in last few overs, and they take three quick wickets even after watching first days play I have feeling most chances this match is going to end in four days with Ireland will face inning defeat because they can't handle Sri Lankan spinners here in these conditions.

Run rate throughout day was above four with I was expecting near 5 or 6 after England's amazing season now few other teams will also try in this way and this was good chance for the Sri Lanka to change their style and done good end of this first test against Ireland.
1604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why only a Bitcoin trading pair is the best thing? on: April 16, 2023, 04:55:51 PM
Bitcoin is always better than other currencies for long term investment planning. Bitcoin is one of the most reliable digital currencies. One of the most important thing you notice is that investing in bitcoins has less chance of profit as compared to other coins but the risk of investing in this coin is also less. As a result, investing in Bitcoin with more money can be risk-free.

I say more money because Bitcoin profit margins are relatively low so investing more money for a longer period of time creates a chance of making a good profit. So Bitcoin is undoubtedly the best for long term investment.
I think we shouldn't really say "risk free" for it, but it is certainly as good as it gets, it is certainly something we shouldn't really worry about all that much. I know that we should be focusing on a bigger deal but looking at altcoins means that there is also a huge risk that you could lose all your money, I wouldn't want to risk that neither.

On the other hand, like you said Bitcoin is better in the risk regard, I do not agree that it has zero risk, I mean there are people who can't wait and something happens etc etc, but in the end it is a lot less riskier than anything else I have seen in my life and I am sure that it will continue to be so for a long time as well until something better is innovated or created one day, which won't be an easy job.
1605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it good to rely on order books or depth charts on: April 16, 2023, 04:16:16 PM
It's true that depth charts and order books can give an indication of market sentiment and potential price movements, but they should not be the sole factor in making trading decisions. Market conditions can change rapidly and orders can be cancelled or modified at any time, so it's important to use other tools and analysis to make informed decisions. Additionally, institutional buying and selling can have a significant impact on price movements, so it's important to stay up-to-date on news and events that could affect the market. Overall, a well-rounded approach to trading is key, incorporating a variety of tools and analysis to make informed decisions.
TA is the same way, people look at the indicators and they think that move will happen. However, we all know that anything could happen in the market and TA is not the only thing that matters. I personally believe that the best thing to do right now is just checking everything all at the same time and hope that you are right.

Most of the time it is going to be something simple and I believe that the best version of this could happen when you think about the fact that it will be bringing you some profit with time. Obviously check the order books and such, and check the indicators too, check all of them and make a decision and do it. After that if you are still wrong, which happens to everyone, then just take a look at where it went wrong and fix that for the next time.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 16, 2023, 08:53:42 AM
At this point, the BCCI receives 24% of the ICC revenues ($405 million out of $1.68 billion for 2015-23). This is set to be increased to somewhere between 32% and 40%. The other 11 test nations receive a total of 66.5% of the revenues ($1.115 billion). Associate funding stands at $160 million. That is 9.5% of the total funding for close to 100 teams.

I really don't think that the other test nations would like to witness a reduction in their funding. In the end, always it is the associate nations who will suffer. And even among the associate nations, mercenary teams like UAE and USA will get a higher share this time, thanks to their good performance during the world cup qualifiers.
Without any doubt a big mess-up in ICC and their distribution of funding to all the countries except India which is not going to solve in near future because no one care about this game mostly are working for their own share from this huge profit which is mostly coming from India due to big market of cricket even at this point; if we are having huge share from India, and we have no legislation or system how to distribute this all then India deserve the biggest share with all other test playing nations will also go for fair policy which is working right now and most affected parties are Associate Nations then most chances no one will go against this and things will be going ahead in this way for few more years as well until we have any suitable replacement for this system.

Here I have no problem about the USA as they are also next biggest market if we bring them in cycle in near future, but UAE is surely the biggest gainer in this all system and teams like Nepal and few others those are playing with all native players surely will get suffered.
1607  Economy / Economics / Re: G20 Meet - Always consider Crypto as problem to the monetary world. New update on: April 16, 2023, 05:15:51 AM
It mostly about he control over the macroeconomics which keep those people afraid about the increasing adoption of Bitcoin a and other altcoins. For instance, let us assume that a country has a lot of adoption of Bitcoin and the government wanted to change the number of FIAT in circulation, adjust the interest rates on credit, sell debt, etc. Most of those things would not have the effect they would want it to have because an important percentage of the population would be isolated from whatever the Central Bank or the Treasury of the Stated wanted to do with the National currency.

That alone is enough tho keep bankers up at night.
This is exactly the reason and I believe that we shouldn't really worry about those governments because they are not going to do anything about bitcoin like banning it. Because if you ban bitcoin, there are millions of people in most nations that uses it and you risk not getting their votes, doesn't mean they will vote for the other person, maybe they would but they could just sit at home as well.

That's how most elections are won in the world, if you can make your voters go out and vote you win, if they protest and stay at home then you lose, it is usually not getting the vote of the other side, that doesn't happen too much. So, politicians would be worried that they would upset their own voters and not do anything about bitcoin.
1608  Economy / Economics / Re: Could there be a new financial system not dependent on USD? on: April 15, 2023, 10:10:46 AM
The dominance of the US dollar will not be reduced by the existence of the BRICS, an alliance of countries that are members of the global trade plan are only included in the category of a few countries. Dependence on the US dollar is also very difficult for other countries to cancel cooperation with the United States, on the other hand there are special agreements that are regulated when carrying out cooperation.

Everything can happen beyond the predictions or observations made by experts, but as far as I know the strength of the United States in building cooperation with other countries in the field of global trade is very difficult to break, they really control several important sectors now and decades of their dominance no one has been able to match. The strength of the countries that are members of the BRICS will also determine how far this project can go, while in it we see that only Russia and China have the capability, while the economic strength of countries that have the possibility to join is unclear.
This is the "dream" of BRICS nations, but the reality is very different. They are rich because of their resources, it can be gas, it can be oil, it can be even humans, it can be whatever that is cheap for them and make a lot of money for others.

However, if you talk about the big nations like America, then dollar is strong because of what they do with those resources, if you have oil that's great, they put that oil into planes and make multiple times people fly, or they put it on jet fighters and attack another nation, or they put it on cars and drive to work at google or apple that everyone uses. So, all in all it is not about what you have, but what you can make with what you have and those big nations are great at that which will not stop.
1609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your most preferred Bitcoin investment strategy right now? on: April 15, 2023, 05:56:34 AM
The term has become popular and didn't know that this has a meaning and I guess just some other members made meaning out of it. Because it basically has no meaning at all and is just a misspelling for holding because gamekyuubi was drunk when he posted the thread.
Anyway, this is my preferred strategy. Not gonna need much things to do but just you wait for the moment when you're okay to start selling or wait some more and go through again a lot of thick and thin and bear markets as well.
There’s no need to complicate things, taking as easy as DCA for long term hodling is still profitable though. That’s the reason why a lot of newbies or legends in the forum are still hodling for life. And with the recent price drop for bitcoin, DCAing is the best option. The more you DCA, the lesser the risk you put into your investment.
I have suggested this for so long, all you have to do is keep on following DCA for a long enough time and you should be fine, nobody should be losing too much money when you consider that all you have to do is buy DCA style and keep doing that for many years.

Bitcoin investment is easy, it is us that makes it so much harder because we try to do stuff that would not be that easy for any of us. Like trying to buy low and sell high is awesome, because if you can buy low and you can sell high then you will be doing awesome. However, most people fail to do that and they start selling with panic when it starts to go down. Don't do that, buy more when it goes down so you can make a bigger profit when it goes up and you should be fine.
1610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the support zone ? on: April 15, 2023, 04:24:21 AM
The level where buying pressure is there and usually takes a huge volume of selling to break through, that ends up being a support level and these are usually the prices where investors have bought the coin previously. Historically there are many support levels which people have been placing buy orders at and keep them strong.

Think of it as a big bunch of buy orders to negate most of the sell orders such that the price does not drop below that. Opposite to this will be the resistance level which you can now make out on your own.

The use of these levels is to plan your buying point and whether you should play it safe and buy at even lower to maximize profits on the opposite side when you sell.
That is the support zone and there is resistance and both of them really do not matter when we are talking about bitcoin, does it? Those are what we are talking about but to be fair during bear markets support points do not matter and we crash below them fairly easily, and during bull runs the resistance doesn't matter and we go above them anytime we want as well. That is why we shouldn't really be worried about these lines anymore since in this market it doesn't really matter and we shouldn't be worrying about them at all.

I hope that the best thing we can do right now would be having some sort of understanding that if the market wants to move a direction, it will move that direction ignoring everything else.
1611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: April 14, 2023, 03:18:22 PM
I see that there is no complete expert trader, at a point everyone experience loss both robots. That's means the market is kind of seasonal, it can favor you today and hit you tomorrow.
I am agree with you that there is not a single expert which always get maximum returns but while trading they will face defeat and loss at some point because from this loss they get experience and if they did not loss money in past then they will hardly cope with harsh situations in future.

You are right that everyone gets success and also they faces failure but it is not always that one time you will successful and other time failure but regular success can also achieve. A person can get rid of regular loss through investment for lengthy period of time because in longer time you will have no worries about the lower price because you will keep holding your coin until it gives you maximum return.

Yes we can say that market is seasonal because seasons changes and in the same way the price changes regularly, as a single season does not remain always so same is the market where it doesn't remains in one position.
That's the natural part of investment and trading. You need to realize that everyone loses money when they are trading and it's not really a big deal. I know that most people will have some misunderstanding about the situation but that doesn't mean that we should be expecting veterans to make max profit, some newbies may think that's possible but it's not.

We know that it's going to be a tough situation and we should just focus on not being able to provide something like that when the time comes. I personally think that even if you do not make the max possible profit, that's fine as long as you make profit over a long period of time and not really have any type of worry, do not regret even if you make losses here and there.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 14, 2023, 01:34:09 PM
The first match of T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played tonight at Lahore. Due to IPL 16 there are eight key New Zealand players that are absent from current T20 and ODI series including: Kane Williamson, Tim Seifert, Lockie Ferguson, James Neesham, Trent Boult, Adam Milne, Kyle Jamieson and Mitchell Santner (cricketpakistan.com.pk) . Tom Latham will be New Zealand captain in absence of Kane Williamson. Its good opportunity for Pakistan to win this series against relatively weak New Zealand team.
Even this is good for the Pakistan and their fans that teams from SENA countries are regularly visiting here for the bilateral series but in current situation this is going to be not good idea with Ramadan and New Zealand is missing all their T20i players which are involved in IPL this is going to be one-sided series as Pakistan already announces their full strength squad even few are busy in English Counties but they still have enough players who can provide their services in these hot conditions.

Sadly Kane Williamson is out of the cricket for six months which is surely not good news for the New Zealand with they are also going to participate in ODI World Cup 2023 without him now most chances Pakistan will win this series evens we can expect whitewash from them as well.
1613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 14, 2023, 10:40:06 AM
Whatever we do, it's always wrong.  Grin

If I think about spending some, the price goes up after.

When I get paid in bitcoin or decide to spend something else, the price goes down.
For some reason I often catch the worst possible time to take whatever action, I don't understand why that is.

That being said, I try to just hold and don't think about it too much. For me at least, it's not wise to spend my bitcoin.
I do not feel this way, on contrary I feel like whenever I buy, it goes up, and whenever I sell, it goes down. I know why this is like that, I buy when it is very low, which means that it can either go even lower, or it has to go up and when it is low that much it is likely that it goes up so I am usually right. Same goes with selling, unless I had to sell for any life issues, then I sell when it is at the very peak, and it usually goes lower.

Last time I bought bitcoin was when it was 18k, last time I sold was when it was 62k, because I know that at some point it has to go up and down on other side. If you buy when it is going up, then it is not a shocker that it will go down after you buy because you were too late.
1614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is a light on: April 14, 2023, 09:35:41 AM
Their is nothing wrong introducing bitcoin to people who don't have knowledge about it, but it is wrong to convince people to accept it, bitcoin is too real and too good to waste energy convincing people of it.
Bitcoin is real yes, but some people will need some extra effort to get convinced about it's credibility. It is not that these people are difficult and will not be convinced no matter how hard you try, they just require some extra information and effort. The people you should avoid the most are the people who you know just want to be difficult to convince and the stiff in beliefs, these people, no matter how the facts are in front of them will not change what they belief in, even if it is the failing traditional system. Avoid those people, do not waste your energy on them.
I think in year 2023 we do not really need to convince anyone of anything at all. I think we should be happy about what we have personally and ignore them. There are some people out there who still do not understand how they could make any profit, but that doesn't mean that we should be focusing on that at all. If they can't understand about bitcoin then they are making a mistake and shouldn't really be worried about it at all.

It will take some time before we could make a profit, but that doesn't mean that we should not be able to do it. I believe that we should be focusing on how we could profit ourselves and ignore those people who are doubting bitcoin or question its credibility when it is the most credible one out there.
1615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 13, 2023, 01:39:40 PM
An investor is someone who has invested in a particular assets like Bitcoin, gold etc. It doesn't matter how little or small you have invested or how big your investment was but we're all investors. Investors are then divided into different groups, from the low investors to the whales.

The whales are those investors who have very large amount of an investment that they can influence the market by selling their shares. Before you can become a Bitcoin whale you have to own thousands of Bitcoin but just by purchasing Bitcoin with as low as $1 you're an investor.

Been an investor has to do with your mindset so even though you don't have enough Bitcoin now but stay consistent in buying Bitcoin, at some point you would had invested so much into Bitcoin and Bitcoin would had rise to a price that would have given you enough God profit when you sell.
I agree that the amount doesn't really matter but even if it did, we are talking about 0.8 bitcoins here, that's a lot of bitcoins if you think about it, that's over 20k dollars of bitcoin and that should be considered a bitcoin investor. I don't care how much you invest into anything, I would consider you an investor even if you put 10 bucks into something, but if you invested 20k into anything at all then I would consider that as a n investor even easier because that's a lot of money.

By comparison let me tell you this way, I have never had 20k+ dollars in my bank at any moment in my life, that's more money than I have ever had in my bank account. That should tell you how much money it is for most parts of the world.
1616  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 13, 2023, 10:22:30 AM
Peer pressure in the society we live in today leads to young people taking on unnecessary debt that they cannot pay off because they live extravagant lives above their means. This lifestyle can sometimes lead young people to commit theft and other crimes in order to satisfy their desires among their peers.
I agree with this, there are people with some stuff and they might be richer or they might make a bad decision but when it comes to these type of spending, overspend their budget and still get some stuff. Their friends see these and want stuff a lot and that is why it turns out very wrong and they make mistakes, which I understand and that is why we are overspending right now, basically confirming that we are fine with the society as it is and how we are likely to go on like this.

But, the reality is that any person who gets out of this pit hole and lives a decent life, it becomes a lot more decent and they focus on how they could get out of it completely and live a free life, not free in price but more about freedom.
1617  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 13, 2023, 09:33:56 AM
Tsk tsk tsk. There was also a similar situation here in Philippines about someone who almost committed suicide after getting scammed I think it was Php 2,000,000 more roughly around $40,000. I didn't really know what happened to him and how was he scammed that huge, and I wasn't really interested to read the news in the first place. I do feel bad about him, but mostly of it due to insufficient knowledge regarding crypto, at that time as far as I can remember it was when axie was really popular in eastern countries like ours. Bad people took advantage of that trend and somehow one of our fellow countrymen got victim and almost resort to suicide. Due to that event, thr government became stricter in terms of using bank accounts, custodial wallets and even KYC and warned the public about the risks of investing crypto and of course some didn't forget to talked trash to the crypto community.

All in all, i felt bad about the guy that OP mentioned and also my fellow Filipino, and hopefully in the near future people will be more wiser in terms of their investments.
First of all life is just one gift we can't get back, you need to live in order to have another chance, if you die then it's over and there is no repeat action, you are not going to get anything back ever again, its game over. So even if you have the worst possible life, I am against suicide because even if you live 40 years in the worst possible life, maybe the next 40 will be amazing? Is there a guarantee that it will go on being bad forever?

I prefer being in jail then being dead, I prefer anything to being dead, because dead means it's over whereas life means there is always a possibility that you can be fixed. That's why it's important to figure out a way to get better and do better in the long run and not stop.
1618  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects: Over-reliance on the US dollar on: April 13, 2023, 07:28:03 AM
Choose any other country but not China for sure. I am using products in my office which are mostly imported from the USA or European parts because of the quality they provide. We tried a few imports from China but they are horrible in quality and reliance. I am not sure how they did it, but it's all about bulk manufacturing which is keeping China at its peak. The only power China has is its huge population and its willingness to work with the lowest wagers that it can get.

It's hard to find countries accepting Yuan as the currency reserve. If I would have been in any of those countries, I would just shift to the country where USD is accepted. Lolz.

Anyways, China can not take over OR compete with USD for sure. USA has been in the business for ages and it can not be shifted just like that. Imagine the chaos that other countries will have to bear during such reserve.
This is why bitcoin will be a lot better because it is not on the side of anyone. It's not china, it is not Russia, it is not EU, it is not USA. It's us, the whole world, globally it is all together. This is why if you dislike America, you can buy bitcoin, if you like china then you can buy bitcoin.

Yuan, Ruble, Dollar, Euro, all should be gone and all should be forgot because they are the old news and they will not really make a profit for you neither. Nations who invest into bitcoin like El Salvador will get richer and richer, because they are going to be rich anyway due to taxes, and if they keep on investing that back into bitcoin they will be able to buy so much and when it goes up on the bull run they will make a big profit.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: April 13, 2023, 06:28:05 AM
An eye on gas fees and plan their transactions accordingly. This may involve waiting for lower gas prices during periods of lower network activity, or exploring other options such as layer 2 solutions or other networks with lower fees. As the crypto space continues to evolve, we may see new solutions emerge to address the issue of high gas fees on the Ethereum network.
Exploring other options are our rights and we can do that. Some people did and layer 2 options got a lot more attention, and layer one alternatives got a lot of investment too. Look at the top 20 and you will see alternatives to high transactions everywhere there, all those projects were created as an alternative to current situation and that should be as good as it gets.

It is not going to be a troublesome thing but as long as we believe that we will be able to have our options open, that means high transaction fee can't go on forever. Because if ETH goes high, we will go to sol, avax, matic whatever and as a response to that ETH will not have as many transactions and the fee will drop as well.
1620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are collapsing. Will Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies rise from here?? on: April 12, 2023, 02:42:51 PM
Some Governments are only concern in our safety. It will help them track the criminals easily if the transactions are recorded everywhere. In Bitcoin, it still possible to see the wallet activity but there are ways to make it private. One is by using a Mixer. This is why Governments are after them and they are now shutting them one by one. Memorizing seed phrase might be possible than the former private keys which compose of so many random characters but this was not advisable as there as still instances that we can forget it.

It's always better to have a back up especially if our goal is to HODL our BTCs for a long time. You can make multiple copies and hide them in different places. That way authorities won't find any evidence that you hold a crypto just in case they investigate you.
I think it is important to realize that governments do not just track the criminals, they track you as well for tax reasons. For example, Americans have this risk where they are making a ton of trades at Coinbase and Kraken, which is all given to the government and then government asks them to pay taxes.

The weirdest thing in the USA is that they do not tell you how much you should pay in taxes, they let you decide how much you should, but if you pay less than what you should, they punish you for it, and still don't tell you how much you should. Weird system but in the end crypto is connected to that and you need to figure out a way to make a profit from crypto and then pay taxes for it in order to continue.
