1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: May 01, 2023, 02:14:43 PM
Bitcoin can be useful to the youth because it can be a good investment opportunity for them specially to those who are interested in finance and technology. Bitcoin has the potential to increase it’s value in long term for potential profit. Bitcoin can give opportunity for the youth to learn more about finance, investments, economics and technology. By researching and studying crypto currencies can enhance the youths knowledge and skills that they can be useful in their future goals.
Not even just investment of their money. When you are young, you have time and effort you can put in but not a lot of money, when you are old you do not have too much effort to put in it but have money. So, the youth could work hard with the extra time they have on their hands and the hard work they can put into it, and make that money. This doesn't have to be trading or investment, most of the time it is not. This needs to be something like working for someone else, and that usually means a project, and that way they could make money.

The amount of money I made in my 20's and early 30's thanks to bitcoin will not be equal to how much I will make in my 40's, I am sensing I will make more. But at the same time, I worked a lot harder than my peers and made a lot more money than anyone around me as well.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: humanity's dream to make a money on: May 01, 2023, 01:38:21 PM
So you think you can just earn by mining without doing anything at all? The humanity which believes in doing nothing and getting paid for it have nothing in their hand as you can't get anything for free here. The mining you are talking about needs ASIC investment and then electricity cost and much more but still there's no guarantee you will earn rewards for it and they are working for it.So you need to understand these things before making such statements and comparing it with bitcoin which has lot to do and solve financial problems.
I really detest that type of thinking as well. It shouldn't be possible to make money without doing anything, that shouldn't even be possible if you ask me. There are some rich people who do that for sure, there are some rich people who made so much money that they just buy some stocks and retire and they live off that without an issue.

But even that shouldn't be possible, people should be either spending time or money or something in order to make money. If you just sit on your chair and watch movies all day and still making money, then it means there is something wrong with that economy. I personally believe that even if it's a small work, or a small amount of money, if you profited, you should have done something for it without a doubt.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet address types and balance Distribution on: May 01, 2023, 08:20:10 AM
Look at HODL waves, you will see that many Bitcoin holders fail to hold their bitcoins too long.

If you are interesting in, you can look at more detailed charts for different amount of hold bitcoins and how stats change with time.
1+ year hold wave
5+ years hold wave

If it is too general, you can check five charts for 0.1+ BTC, 1+ BTC, 10+ BTC, 100+ BTC, 1000+ BTC. Those charts are freely given by Lookintobitcoin.

If you can hodl more than 5 years and one month, you are surely in profit. It is based on past data from https://hodl.camp/
This is something I believe in as well but too many people keep saying "that was true in the past, you wouldn't know if it will be true for the future". As in they think that it was a good idea to do that back in the day, but if you want to do it now then it will not be doing that great, it will suck and the result will not be the same. I disagree, I think it was a thing that happens to be in the nature of bitcoin and as long as you hold for 5+ years, no matter when you buy, today, tomorrow, yesterday, none of that matters if you buy and hold for that long then you will make a profit.

This is why it is important to make a distinction and just focus on making profit and I believe that I will keep holding even longer than that, probably over a decade at least.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sees a large uptick in the amount of BTC held on their exchange on: May 01, 2023, 06:32:53 AM
Unfortunately, the mismanagement of clients' funds by these exchanges made this trust shaky, and therefore clients have the right to withdraw their money immediately after the completion of trading and leave the minimum possible amount in those platforms.

People's memory is closer to fish, so during the coming years, especially when Bitcoin breaks the $60,000 barrier, the platforms will find large financial flows, but the problem remains how many platforms will hold up until that time. The winter was severe and it seems that it will continue for a little while, causing some shocks.
I do not think that Binance is one of those places and that is why they are seeing a big increase. There were a lot of FUD and bad news about it going around, and even media worked towards trying to make Binance in a bad place, but none of that worked because nothing wrong about Binance came out, and people trust it.

This is why I believe that we shouldn't really work towards making that work, it should not really be working towards making Binance look bad, but work towards making it known as the most trusted one. If they could do that the nit would be a lot better. People realized this, and they are trusting and investing into it and there is no problem with it anymore, they are going back in after the FUD and making it even bigger.
1545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price gets to $60k this year? on: May 01, 2023, 05:03:41 AM
The growth was looking real for the first couple of months after the new year started and everyone thought that the bull run has started but soon it stopped and became stable and then started correcting itself and we are still unable to get out of that.
Yes, I agree which is the reason I believe it may, I mean we can never really know about these things could we? It feels like we could make a prediction but knowing it and predicting it are different things. Since this is speculation section, we can speculate if it could be 60k, but what would we even gain from making that prediction.

My actions are; buy as much as you can with your salary, so far I am doing fine, and I am starting to save again this may after all my debt is over, well not all, I still have a ton of debt, but one of them is over, so I will use that to buy bitcoin, and anytime a debt is over, I do not act as if I can spend that, I still keep using that but instead of paying my debt, since that's over, I use that to buy bitcoin. I will just keep doing that. That's my action, let that tell you whatever you think it tells you.
1546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on 30k how was your feelings ? on: April 30, 2023, 05:55:51 AM
I think the current price will find it difficult to skyrocket again like in 2021, every time there is an increase there will be selling or profit taking because many people are traumatized that the market will drop again, especially now that most FUDs say that the current increase is only a temporary pump and eventually the market will drop deeper, but I think the best thing is to make bitcoin a long term investment.
I think that is not said by most people? I mean I have seen a lot of times and it looks like FUD people will say whatever FUD they end up saying, that's their situation and shouldn't be really shocked to see that. However, if we look at the reality, we see it grow as much as possible and that is a good thing and shouldn't be shocked at all.

I feel like it could skyrocket like 2021 and even reach ATH, even if not right now, eventually it will get there soon, probably this year, if not next year. That is important to note because that means that we are doing as well as hoped for and there is a hype in the market. All those FUD people will just regret not buying at the lower end and should not be talking so big right now at the current moment.
1547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: April 29, 2023, 03:38:03 PM
I think everyone is on the same boat as far as bitcoin hitting that 6 digits in the future. We do failed that prediction though in 2021, when everyone thought that $100k will be the big price because some bitcoin price modelling made famous by someone.

Nevertheless, I will say  that it is more doable in the next bull run than the previous. We've seen $69k as our last all time high. So the expectation is that we will surpassed in in 2024-2025 with a conservative estimates of $100k. So it's just a matter of time for us. And we should all be prepared and ready and stack sats already.
I agree, last time around the bottom was at around under 4k levels, that is what we had in march 2020 if I am not wrong, and by the time it was April 2021 we had 64k, which is a proof that we have gone so much more than people assume, it was a great bull run for a whole year.

If we have a year like that then we are going to end up with much more than 100k, we failed last time because we had to come from 4k levels all the way there, but this time around we could end up with a much bigger increase over course of a period, it will make us profit like crazy. If we consider that 16k as our bottom, then we can say that it is going to be 100k+ easily, even if we have less increase than the 2021 one, it would still reach that 100k level and should be doing fine for sure.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: April 29, 2023, 06:50:25 AM
...

Thoughts?
If someone asks about my prediction, I'm thinking Q2 2025, not the end of 2024, we'll have a bull run, and bitcoin hit a new ATH. Based on what has happened in the past, the bull season will come a year after the halving rather than at the same time or within a few months of the halving. While the halving is still more than a year away, in my opinion, it is very difficult to achieve a new ATH by the end of 2024. I still believe in history repeating itself until there is new history.
I agree, I would say somewhere around q4 of 2025 is not unlikely neither, the only reason is that q3 is usually not a great period for increases, we haven't had any ATH during q3 mostly, it is either q2 or q4 that we have it.

So, I think it will be either q2 of 2025 or if it fails to reach those levels by that time, then it could be q4 of it as well. Remember that in 2021 we didn't had 69k levels up until q4, it was in q2 where we had 64k and that was a great moment but that was just an ordinary situation, then it ended up being a lot lower, under 30k yet again, and then it went to 69k levels in q4 as well. So maybe the similar thing will happen and maybe we will not see something much different in most cases so 2024 may not be enough at all.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: April 29, 2023, 06:23:11 AM
I think it's because perhaps, some bad actors use bitcoins to launder their money in casinos so they are not detected in doing money laundering. After all, when they buy bitcoins on the black market, they transfer the money to the seller and the seller either sends the bitcoins to another wallet or sends them directly to a bitcoin mixer. So perhaps, that's why bitcoin mixers are often seen as providing money laundering services when they are not.

Bitcoin mixing is like a double-edged sword that can be used for good and bad, depending on the person using it. So actually, what to chase are bad people who use bitcoin mixing for bad things but it won't be easy to trace them because they are also smart in hiding everything.
That is a common thing in regular casinos as well, that is why it is not easy to get in and just give cash and take chips. There are even casinos that do not take cash as well, just for this purpose alone and I feel like that's an important thing.

I understand the need and protection about it, what if I go to a casino with a million dollars, gamble a bit, and then take it out? I could literally cause a trouble with it and then I could end up with a laundered money. By that time when I withdraw if anyone asks where I found it, I could just say I won it at a casino. This is why laundering on gambling is common and it is easy, and that is why most casinos started to ask for KYC as well, it is doing fine and should not be shocked at all.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Little Bitcoin investment becoming something else on: April 29, 2023, 05:38:42 AM
Maybe you have skipped some of the comments where members suggest OP to hold his coins and invest for long time. You don't need to accuse anyone here, you can always give your suggestions no matter OP got his answer or not.
Always invest for a long time, that is the only suggestion from me. If you can hold your coins for a long time you can make profit.
But if you read carefully what the OP said, she needs money to raise her children, and it is an urgent need, so it is up to her to hold or sell. I still prioritize parenting, and if she doesn't have a solution to that problem selling bitcoin is the right thing to do. I know she is very strong because she does not want to depend on her husband. But do not invest with money to raise children because bitcoin is not an easy and quick place to make money.
I agree, I had the same thing with my family as well, I held as long as I could and when there was a hospital bill to be paid, I sold all my coins without thinking twice about it because that's how you do it. I personally agree that it is not going to be easy to find a solution to it considering all the trouble we had, but that doesn't mean that we should be avoiding it anyway neither.

I hope that it gets to a point where it will be much better for all of us and we won't need to cash it out. But, if we ever need to cash it out for our family then there is no discussion for me, I will just sell all of it. There are priorities in life and family is much more important than getting rich, sure they would benefit if you get rich, but no reason to put them in poverty until you do.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 28, 2023, 10:38:21 AM
Be good to hear thoughts on XLM, both good and bad?
XLM is currently quiet for the project there is no further development like the others are just silent, but I believe in XLM more than XRP at this time, I still have my XLM in my pocket to go to the new ATH
In this day and age if you are silent then it means you are going to die. That's as simple as it gets, the only coin that has no improvements and still can stay strong is bitcoin, and even that had a segwit change a few years back, so it should not be a big deal if you ask me to continue having something else.

I believe that it should not be a huge problem when we are talking about coins that improve, but XLM is not improving and that's not going to change anytime soon neither, they will stay like that and the ones that improve will get ahead of it constantly. This is why it would not make sense to invest into something like that, I would highly suggest avoiding it if you can and that would give you a better result overall, without a doubt.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: April 28, 2023, 08:45:41 AM
Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you
Since you have said that you want to buy those coins and then just forget about it for a few years i would probably suggest coins that can be staked natively, because that way you not only make profit from a possible increase in price but also from the staking rewards. In the last few weeks or so i have bought a few Cosmos (Atom), NEAR and Radix. All of those 3 coins can be staked and with Radix and NEAR you even have the advantage that they are auto-compounding. This means the staking rewards you get are automatically put into staking once you receive it. So you can really totally forget about it for a few years. Other coins are good options too though of course.
I think those are just too low ranked to actually matter in the long run, it is your decision of course so if you want to invest into those then you can do that, nobody can stop you. But I think what people suggest so far are just way too low. I think things like eth, bnb, ada, matic, sol, avax, ltc, all these are ranked high enough to matter.

Compare the rankings of the ones I said to what everyone else said, including you, and you will see that what I said ranks higher than what most people have said so far. That means they are trusted by the world and they are invested more than anything else and that's why they rank so much higher. This is why I suggest the first 600 dollars should go towards those and should be kept for a while as well.
1553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 28, 2023, 07:14:33 AM
I think this is the same as our life, life is not always easy and we often face challenges and setbacks in life. It is important not to give up and to continue to maintain hope and belief that there is a way out of this difficult situation. The same is true in crypto investing. Although sometimes there are significant price fluctuations and failures in the crypto market as well as what the OP mentioned. it is important not to lose hope and faith in technology and its potential for the future.

We need to take a long-term view and recognize that fluctuations in crypto prices are part of the normal game and such occurrences are normal in the crypto world. In the long term, the development of crypto technology and its mass adoption could present great opportunities for patient and persistent investors. What we need to do now is to stay calm and strong amidst setbacks and hard times, and stay focused on your long term goals as an investor. With strong faith and determination, you can keep moving forward and achieve success in crypto investing.
I have not lived a very difficult life, considering what goes around me and what people have to live through everyday, I can say that I am doing alright. However, every life has its own difficult times, times that are worse than your good days, so maybe compared to others I still have a decent life, but between death of loved ones, cancer, hospital bills, economical turmoil, unemployment, all of that happened in my life and I had to go through with it and came out alright.

I would say that it is a good skill to have, the ability to survive whatever happens and that is exactly what I plan on my crypto investments as well. It may have good days, it may have bad days, but I will always try to focus on the good days and not on the bad days.
1554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: IS IT SAFE TO INVEST PENSION FUNDS IN BITCOIN? on: April 28, 2023, 06:02:25 AM
If the pension is big and there is an extra money after you spend it to your needs then your free to invest, i believe that bitcoin is a good coin to invest but it is still risky because it is high on volatility and it is very unpredictable. Pension funds is good because it doesn't have interest all the earnings from investment will go to your savings not on interest.
Usually, the pension fund will be large, but it depends on a person's years of service in his office. But if the pension fund is not too big and only enough to prepare for daily needs, he should first calculate it to know how much money is still there. From there, he can only invest in bitcoin by allocating a certain amount of money to buy bitcoins regularly. But if the pension is large, he can immediately buy bitcoins in stages and save some of the retirement money for other needs. He can have preparation for his future by having a bitcoin investment.
I think it is important to focus on how it could help you when you are old. There are different approaches, like some prefer dividend approach where you make enough monthly to live on that, and the investment could also grow, but the important part is to make an income from it to live off, like buying a house and renting that out, same logic.

Some rather have a bigger and bigger capital, like no income from it, but it goes bigger, so instead of paying dividends, they use that to buy another factory to grow, that type of understanding, which is fine too. So when you decide that, then you can know how much you can or should invest into bitcoin because it may not give you income, but it could grow a lot bigger in the future as well.
1555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical indicators vs the News on: April 28, 2023, 04:41:33 AM
For me, indicators can still be used as a reference. I know, the effect of news will change price movements more quickly, because news will create FUD and FOMO immediately after the news is released. however, when price movements are stable, there is minimal news, the indicator can be a good reference for entry and exit. Because, when the indicator shows an increase or down, at that time the media will start making news about the price and than FUD or FOMO occurs.

Then, we never know when we will get news, or when we read the news, we will be too late for entry/exit, so the most appropriate thing is to combine these two analysis methods according to market conditions if possible. Of course, this depends on how traders carry out their trading activities. I would not say you must doing this, it will depending on the habits and decisions of each.
Also the difference between using indicators and TA versus news is that you do not know about news and when they will come out. So you can easily do your TA and trade based on that, however if you are wrong and it doesn't happen then I would guess that it will be harder later on. Imagine trying to do something that is much harder than that, which is waiting for the news because we all know that the news will not be easy to handle and it will cause you to lose time without a second.

If you wait for the news to change something in the market, since you can't know it beforehand, you will be late to it and most of the time it will be already moved when you want to make a move. So, it's better to focus on TA and make a change there instead.
1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner mistakes and how to avoid them on: April 28, 2023, 04:18:51 AM
Combining them all means we need deep research before jumping the gun. IMO, planning is one of the most important parts when you are trading, you cannot be arrogant just because you have enough money in your pockets and you can cover all the losses by using it. Planning everything will have an important role especially if you are following it in a disciplined way.
I am not a big trader and I only do manual trades by reading the historic movements of the coin I prefer but it had never gone to me to be greedy and not follow the road that I had already written. Once I see profit at the aimed timeline, I take it, with no doubts, and no regrets in the end. Get over it and find a new one.
That is true, just spending the money you have to cover the losses is not a good way of neither starting or the rest. It is better to make sure that you make as little mistakes as you can and you could spend a lot less per trade if you are unsure about it as well.

I personally do not put that much into crypto at this moment when trading, my trades are less than 100 bucks which is fine for me, and I aim at making 3-5% profit each time as well. That may look like a very little amount, but when you are trading dozens of pairs and you can make that per day, suddenly it becomes a lot more bigger. Imagine being able to make 5% profit per day, that would be insane return right? I am not doing that of course, but I aim at that, because 5% profit per bet is more likely than 100% at least.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 27, 2023, 11:11:23 AM
Virat Kohli is making the best contribution to the Royal Challenger Bangalore team in today's match. As an opening batsman he is often on the way to half-centuries, but the rest of the batsmen have not performed very well. After performing well in the previous matches, Maxwell could not stand his ground in this match and considering other aspects, his team including Virat Kohli is often under wicket pressure. Currently, if this pair can survive, there is definitely a possibility of Kolkata Knight Riders winning. Kolkata Knight Riders must now attack with the spinner ball if they want to win from the bowling side.
KKR won by 21 runs by defeating RCB and the chances of KKR winning the tournament were alive. The Player of the Match is Varun Chakaravarthy by outstanding performance in which he took 3 key wickets while conceding only 27 runs. Jason Roy for his amazing fifty and Nitish Rana provided the foundation for KKR nnings with their crucial 57 and 48 run performance respectively. Although Virat Kohli 57 ball innings kept the RCB team  hopes alive the KKR bowlers were able to hold them to a score of 179 which ultimately proved to be insufficient. After 4 straight losses this victory will definitely increase KKR confidence and give them the much needed momentum they need to progress to the tournament next round
A thumbing good win for KKR after having 4 matches losing streak even now they have no good chances for jumping from here for the top four spots with their current performance, but this lost give RCB also big shock because now things looking not good for them as well I was not expecting target like this but RCB bowlers surely have bad day and concede enough runs which were give them pressure from the start and their all star players fail to give their best in this match as well which was key for their defeat.

Kohli done good job and have good inning at important time, but this inning was also not enough to give them better result after 12 overs KKR bowlers change the match momentum and not allowed RCB batsmen to play freely which was big surprise because I had never been having thoughts about KKR bowlers can do performance like this but from here they are impressive.
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 27, 2023, 08:18:22 AM
Lankans are just making a mockery of Irish spinners, virtually no respect whatsoever.
The way Lankans are handling opposition bowlers, I believe they could take a lead before the day ends. They are going with 4.75 runs per over and we still have 44 overs, hope there is no rain drama.
Sri Lanka would easily take a lead today if the game wasn't interrupted by rain. A session was lost today for the bad light and rain. Bad light had also created an impact in the match on day 2. Now we shouldn't expect anything else than a draw from this batting friendly pitch condition. Sri Lanka still has a little chance to win the match. They have to finish day 4 with a good lead, then they need to allow Ireland to play their second innings on the final day. But there is pretty high chance of rain in the next two days.
As Sri Lankans were batting everyone was feeling they will hit 500+ until end of third days play, but sadly rain hit their progress, and we have early ended of third days play with 357 for 1 in 77 overs we lost nearly 35 overs which are surely not ideal situation for the home side now tomorrow if we have another round of rain then surely we will have draw result of this match which could be good for the visitors but still Sri Lankan batsmen and bowlers will give their best for having result.

Currently, they are trailing by 135 runs which mean we need 35 to 40 overs for covering this difference and then surely another 40 to 50 overs for having 200+ target which can give them good chance to home side, but now all things depend on weather which is not good for the last two days of play.
1559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the Trading Strategy , can i get any best suggestion or reference? on: April 26, 2023, 05:53:23 PM
Patience (30%)
Patience is very important in trading.  The market can be very volatile and fluctuate in a short time.  You need to have strong patience and wait for the right opportunity to enter and exit the market.  Patience also helps you stay calm and avoid making impulsive decisions.
I would put patience at 50% because that is the majority of it, even go as far as saying 51% because that's the most important one and everything else doesn't matter. However, discipline also has something to do with patience as well since they are sort of related so you could drop that a bit if you want, or you could change that to something else.

I would say that if you could do those two together, then confidence really doesn't play a role in it at all. I personally do not consider myself as a great trader or anything but I do make a profit most of the time, how? Simply just wait for it to reach whatever I thought it would reach, could be in a day, could be in a year, but since I am capable of waiting, it does eventually reach those levels easily for sure.
1560  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will April be a red month? on: April 26, 2023, 07:49:52 AM
We all aware that the price of Bitcoin doesn't have a benchmark and anything can happen in any months, it's obvious that two things is involve in Bitcoin price monthly or weekly, either the price increase higher or it's Falls, it maybe that we have experience all greenish colours of Bitcoin this year and the little red colour we experience will drastically falling or after this month it may rise above twenty eight thousand (28k) or it continues to fall because of the market demand.
While it's true that Bitcoin can go any direction at any moment but it's likely that this month will end in red, this is a correction month and we have been seeing that since the start of the month. Bitcoin drop below $30k means the market doesn't have the demand to keep the price trading above $30k and we'll need some more news but at the moment we aren't getting anything positive.

The only reason the market pump before which was last month was because the market was oversold and was due for some pump. Bitcoin has been finding it difficult to retest $30k and I don't think we can do that before the month ends, we're just 5 days away and things aren't looking that positive.
When you look at the start of the month, and look at the end of it, I would say that there isn't really a big difference. There wasn't much change in the end if it ends up like this, of course it depends if it will drop more or not as well because if it doesn't drop more then it should be fine. Too many people think that it will not be able to recover from here but I think that it will recover from here as well and end on a good note as well.

However, if the price ends just like this then that means we are going to be fine and there won't be any issues at all. Hopefully that gets better and we will end up with a good result, should be tough to crack but it could happen and I believe there are too many people willing to buy because they think like me.
