On top of that the sell pressure on Cryptsy is insane.  There are only a handful of buy orders, if those sell orders decided to dump on the buy orders the price could literally go down to 0.  This may be the end  Undecided

nonsense.
BITB needs to be traded against LTC and UNO so a cryptopia listing is very wise move.  And also look to get the majority of trading on Bleu.
30M count coins are trading at xx satoshi so keeping a +billion coin count trading above 1 satoshi is an unreasonably high expectation should btc sky rocket.  if you can find a rock solid bottom then turn back to the btc market.

Whats up with the network weight of being zero?

HTML5 doesn't start staking for a while.

How long?  Like in years right?

HTML has faded from the limelight it might be wise to fork it and initiate staking (can be low % then ramp up to original figures) just to show that yes it stakes (code is good) the POW production would be little effected maybe just reduce the allotment for POW by 5-10%.

i am scratching my head on how Altquick works these deals?

Are they like localbitcoin and independent dealers list lots for trade at individualized rates/bank of choice?

That lot of 7400kg!  Who's that!?!!

Altquick is an awesome concept and as you see above it allows you to directly trade in bank account dollars ... plus they have divisions in Taiwan and India and likely more in the future ... so this means UNO has the opportunity to pioneer the 'Alt for fiat' territory ... globally.
5105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: November 12, 2015, 02:20:25 AM
USD/UNO market would be nice.

yes Bleutrade had one but never enough volume to warrant trading thus your u$dollars were stuck there and withdrawing or depositing was tough even if you used btc as the means.

the solution is Nubit or Tether / UNO market.  Nubit is vote listed on cryptopia, but doesn't seem to be a popular choice.  still it would be a great addition and creates an USD/UNO market.

in the meantime UnEx can handle Paypal or Nubit trades (for vetted community members).

also my hope is that ShapeShift/AltQuick can fill the gap and provide Nubit or Tether / UNO market (but currently the premium is a bit to much and lacks the ability to trade more than 5kg at a go).

regardless a solid USD/UNO market is a key goal in mind for 2016.

this?
I am planning on launching a weed coin market making asset in the coming days.
If anyone here wants to be involved, please send me a pm. I am looking for a few larger investors to get it off the ground.

The basic idea is as follows.
50% of the asset will be used to invest in various weedcoins to stake, the other 50% will be used for arbitrage and possibly HFT if I can find the right algo.
For the short term, 75% will be held back to reinvest in more staked coins and the 25% will be paid out as dividends, either weekly or twice a month depending on size and earnings.
To keep things simple it will probably launch on NXT Asset Exchange, but I will probably do colored coins as well.

Stake History Bits

Proof of Stake Coin List Feb 2014

Now everyone knows the big names - Peercoin and Novacoin. However, there is a big world of PoS coins out there, and I simply can't find a GOOD list of PoS coins and information on them. So, I decided that since I'm doing the work anyway, I'd provide my work to the community. Hopefully it will help someone else.

Now most people understand Proof of Work - getting paid for mining. But I'd wager a few to many understand how Proof of Stake works. PoS is a method to try to prevent the 51% attack by encouraging people to hold coins in their wallet. And for this "service" coin holders are paid a Stake (dividend) every so many days. Now the stake varies, as does the period, and that's where the magic is.

You see, this post will not only just list the PoS coins, but it will also detail percentages, periods, and give a little analysis of the coins themselves.
However, let's start with the coin list. And If  I miss any - which is highly probable - please feel free to chime in.

Full disclosure - I possess the following coins: BCX, PPC, TEK, BTG, CAP, CGB, CASH, DMD, GLX, HBN, MINT, NVC, PHS, TES

Coins in bold are the first Stake coins in their category, but the dev tree for the categories flows as follows:
Peercoin > Novacoin > YACoin

Coins in green have had their Stake confirmed by me personally.

I need to define something, since many coins are descended from Novacoin, many will have a Stake percentage that mirrors it. However, Novacoins percentage is variable depending upon the Stake ready coins on the network. It starts out at 100% yearly and decreases based on the stake difficulty.
100% NVCS = 100% / (StakeDiff ^ 1/4)
Many coins will be listed as X% NVCS, which means that they would yield X% yearly, but difficulty decreases this percentage.

All percentages will have a second % in parentheses: X% NVCS (Y%) OR X% yearly (Y%)
Y% reflects what you can expect every stake period at the minimum age.

Next, the coins take time to find stake, there is a minimum age and a maximum age. So, if you transfer coins into a wallet, it will take at least the minimum age for them to produce stake, but it may take up to the maximum age. In the list below that will be represented by:
Stake Age (SA) = min days / max days

Exchanges - If it is listed on an exchange, I am not going to list all of them, but I will try to list the largest

Coinmarketcap - If the coin is listed on coinmarketcap.com, I will note it as CMC in the list below

Max Coins - The max # of coins that can be produced factors into how valuable the coin will be - but it is not the only factor. We will peg the number of coins against the max # of BTC which is 21 million.
So for example, HBN which has a max number of coins of 120 million, would be denoted Coins 5.7 - there will be 5.7 HBN for every 1 BTC.

False claims - Coins with a strike through are broken and do not have stake.

ALCUREX is a great exchange.
It will find popularity one day ... slow and steady ... the crypto-landscape is still too wild and crazy but taming down.

Alcurex is being built for traditional investors ... not the casino P&D teenagers.
5113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BARR] We have burned 45% of all existing Sapience AIFX coins on: November 06, 2015, 08:47:19 AM

The demand side, I do not understand yet. Who would want to buy BARR, and why?

What are your plans with BARR? What are income streams? Plans for dividends? Where will they come from?

Are you perhaps speculating with the remaining XAI, FRAC, KEY coins, and will distribute trading profits from that, to your asset shareholders? Then why is dividends better than simply holding XAI, FRAC, KEY?

agree / disagree

BARR is just a currency with no intention of purpose other than being a token you earn by burn.

Because it is on the NXT platform it is like an asset, if you wish it could become a currency, but in practice only BTC and LTC achieve currency status.  But BARR could be treated as a store of value.  And the purpose of BARR would be to manage the value stored in the BARR asset.

So no need for dividends ... they are paid out in the form of price increase.  And there is no mining or network over head so low cost of operations.

Obviously BARR is attempting to burn the lower tiers of coins first.  And as stated this gives 'bag holders' and option to trade up for BARR.  And it pools these investors into a larger group.  Again see the point that BARR runs on top of NXT so the 'Dev' is not needed.

At this stage this is a Beta test.  BARR finds case use by showing this works and can move up the tiers to coins like TIPS or CASINO or even lofty as PPC or LTC or maybe DASH will find reason to burn their ninja mine stash.

I suggest another case use is revamp these coins being burned, that would make BARR a dev studio/lab.

With these coins it would be nice to keep them alive, basic stuff nodes and blockchains (no forks or wallet updates).

BARR_Official seems not so much interested in this?  And rather not hold burned coins because of possible conflicts of interest?

But it doesn't matter.  KEY, FRAC, XAI supporters can keep some of their coins and burn some too ... now they will have 2 assets to sell and reinvest precedes into their community projects.

I hope that BARR will continue to accept any of the burned coins for redemption ... not anytime/all the time ... but like burn holidays where redemption rates can be adjusted to reflect market prices.

That would cause long term mutual benefits.

ops, we have a problem with cryptoid:

Hosting for this Blockchain has Expired!

 Cry

well anyone is free to pay the $10/month cost (myself and another party have covered the costs since July)
issue is cryptsy

i hold the fairglu chain in higher regard than crys opinion of the 'right chain'
but they seem unable to update and unable to state a clear policy on what is definition of a correct chain
[literally to unlock the wallets all Mullick needs to do is go to cryptoid and get addnodes]

my suggestion is to go with a seed node ($50/year) I will pay 50% if others volunteer the other half
that gives GB 1 year to find an exchange and move on from the fiasco that is cry

ps ... i'd fund cryptoid another 30 days but well yeah fuckin cry has locked my account (and my BTC) cuz they'r doing their best to be Gox 2.0
