5021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cannabiscoin is scam? on: December 04, 2015, 09:13:12 AM
They should take this down from their front page "Backed by real Marijuana
1 CannabisCoin (CANN) = 1 Gram of "Canndy" Marijuana".

1 CANN is not pegged at one gram of "Canndy".  I did a community giveaway for the people of Phoenix, Arizona in need of medical marijuana when I was supporting CANN.  Only to find out when people went to the Herbal Wellness Center, they said that HWC stopped honoring the peg.  It was really embarassing.

I don't know if it's still the case now, but the point is, they shouldn't resort to false advertising.  It does make them look like a scam.

agree.  tokeweed laid it bare right there.
premine is old info, factored into the price.
the peg is 'unsupported' and needs addressed.

5023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin thoughts. Its ACTUALLY getting interesting. on: December 04, 2015, 08:26:23 AM
@duuuuude

agree.
why i sit on the sidelines.  he can screw up the process of a revival but he can't force a fork.  and I doubt he holds much coin.

but there seems to be a collective 'community' that wishes for 42 to remain existent.

there's no other explanation for such a trainwreck of a scrypt POW coin holding on to strong trade and network performance despite having absolutely zero development (18 months abandoned) and not even a website.

so the current version of 42 will just keep clunking along until

1. Hendo comes to the table and demonstrates good faith
2. Else arrangements can be made by community to fork on their own

cool part is nothing could happen and 42 is still a viable coin

new thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1220610
cuz Hendo locked the orginal thread ... distancing himself from his crime

5024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE superSLEEPERS : good Alt Coins going unnoticed : [Long Term Investments] on: December 04, 2015, 08:11:20 AM
hard to know what is a sleeper these days ... Top200 is more less solidified and has several tiers within it ...

WBB seems a good 'sleeper'
i like 020 'londoncoin' and other +50Billion coin count coins

Coin2 and Vcoin really haven't come across my radar

Still think NXT is a sleeper compared to BTS or ETH.  Peer is another lurker in that realm.

UNO, BLK, CBX, ix, i0 and a few others are sleepers in the store-of-value sector ... but the recent bitcoin pump up will take 4-6 months to cool off and investors will seek shelter in low inflation proven good coins.

Prime, nice up swing potential.

Digibites, FTC, Digital, and Mona are in the run for "not asic mining POW" coins.

Next game is the assets game, see the XCP, NXT, and whoever else platforms.

any plans to add TALK on any cloud staking platforms (e.g. staisybit)?

seems like the future for average joe types who can't afford to PoW mine (money or skills), and don't run PC's 24/7 but still want to stake

TALK is a great coin by the way, hats off to BitcoinNational for all his efforts - much appreciated by many smaller players Smiley

looking at staisybit right now also https://stakeminers.com

5028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TGC][ANN] Relaunch Tigercoin - Official thread on: December 04, 2015, 06:20:33 AM
I like cryptopia since it would/could include a mining pool and block explorer.

Cryptsy is circling the drain, and price discovery is a bit difficult given you can't withdraw (the network works fine just that Cry can't be bothered to update ... you know 5 min job is just to much effort for them).

Polo is like aiming for the stars, wouldn't hurt to try, but best way is for Legendary guys to knock on that door Wink
5029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: December 04, 2015, 05:27:13 AM
RE: cryptsy

withdrew UNO 10kg (quick no issues) ... use UN 2 exit  Grin

RE: Hash Rate

uno = 001 PH/s
btc = 536 PH/s

well 1:500 may not seem like much it still makes UNO amongst the strongest hash protected networks ever.
it maths out to $10,776,526 if UNO achieves equivalent ratio in market capital ... not bad ... same tech, same net, less inflation, and x30 undervalue (at a minimum).

5030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: December 04, 2015, 12:38:50 AM
Happy Half Day Smiley

Inflation Rate :: 3.5 Uno / day

(looks like my calculation was a few days off ... but did it back in 2014 if i recall correct ... so the network has proven consistent smooth production rate ... note coins like Peer have lockedup so the Uno preformance record is worthy of accolade)

(( only 4 years until 0.0001 sustain blocks which makes the current 0.0078 look BIG ... just 781kg to be produced in this new era))

-----
also super awesome to see UNO being used to move funds out of cryptsy ... even if you're just buying UNO to exit perhaps you'll discover the value of a low inflation high hash powered POW, easy use store of value.

5035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know what's going on with 42coin? (Showing 52 current supply) on: December 01, 2015, 07:20:11 AM
why the sudden interest in 42?
another '42 discussion' thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262455.0

coin has some merit but needs a dev before it can move forward, plus old abandoning dev returned to do nothing more than lock the old OP thread, so a ship without Capt.
5036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin thoughts. Its ACTUALLY getting interesting. on: November 30, 2015, 12:25:33 PM
agree with OP

42 has a likely spot in top 200 coins in the long run

but wrong on 1 point ... Hendo was/is a scammer ... see the record (hidden premine)

and he abandoned the project once caught ... so the original concept of just 42 coins is fubar

but 42 the network is fine as it is ... no need to fork right now (hash power is okay compared to the field)

later when a real sincere dev enters it can maybe fork to a POS [or other] and be a better investment
5037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the most profitable staking wallet coin on: November 24, 2015, 05:26:29 AM
TEK would likely be the most profitable since it's just dropped in price and is high % staking ... so good bet for return over next 90 days.
5038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins I like and why I have started accepting them for my readings LTC / UNO on: November 21, 2015, 02:55:34 PM
jacob,

i agree with this post.

Uno is a 'first' of a kind ... I think BTC, LTC, xmr, prime, peer, nxt, and ftc/vtc ... each created a new kind of network/coin and have been copied often ... they are the innovators.

UNO was first with rarity and fair distribution coupled with creating 4/5ths of the total coins in 2 years.  But the cool twist was hard forking to Merge Mining.  That means the hashing power of the bitcoin network secures UNO, but most of the coins were mined by amateur miners, you know average guys with a little bit of hashing power, not ASIC farms.

Now that UNO will be producing just 3 coins a day (halving coming soon) ... the ASIC farms give UNO 1000+ TH/s in return for less than $10/day ... because it's bonus points for mining BTC on MM pools.  BTW ... bitcoin network investors foot a daily bill of 3200*$330 ... ouch!

That makes UNO a first of a kind.  Store of Value.

The harmony of it all is Bitcoin is the "Liquidity" to move vast sums of money and UNO is the "Store of Value" that is designed to be low inflation yet secure.

( ps mods might move this to "discussion (altcoins)" )
5039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion about [CANN] Cannabiscoin? on: November 21, 2015, 01:23:07 PM
well come on, give some credit, it's #85 on marketcap and trades around 1BTC/day ... that's fair or even a little above average for that sector of the market.

yes you're hobby trading for pennies but it has enough action to make it interesting.
5040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion about [CANN] Cannabiscoin? on: November 21, 2015, 11:30:26 AM
yes. allegations of a premine.
but has low daily inflation.
and as Grif says "stable to about a 10%+- and I haven't seen a crash in it's market".

so it is starting to look like a decent coin to trade.

if D9 demonstrates a plan with real world traction then boom goes the price.
if it was all fluff and no puff then it is still a good 800-700 satos coin.
