5061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto really have to be so scammy, I see a never ending circle on: November 19, 2015, 03:32:32 PM
lol at the above.

I have noticed the extreme decline of the "wolf of wall street" memes around here.

Everyone went broke  Cheesy

cycles.  now the honest money is in play.

there will be another cycle for the 'wolves' but likely in the 2.0 asset area.
after that crypto is looking to be something like $25B-$50B in market capital so yeah the wolfies will still be around the wilder parts of crypto, just as much as they surround Wall St.
5062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GB] $ GreenBacks $ ~ A Complete Currency & Infrastructure ~ on: November 19, 2015, 01:47:51 PM
I am still down for a seed node ($50/year).
Keep the network up is mission #1.

Cryptsy is a bit of an issue.  Lots of coins are locked up there.  And they are looking like Gox.
If a real dev steps up then raising the funds to re list on bittrex is a good option.
Personally would prefer finding a smaller exchange to get trading (that you can withdraw) going again.

Right now it is really difficult to do price discovery since you are trading for 'GB-cryptsy-credits' not actual GB.
5063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best altcoin exchange POLL on: November 19, 2015, 01:20:11 PM
@entertheabyss
don't take the h8te too seriously.  this can be prickly group:)  at least you're doing 'it'.  hope it works out, but give it time.

i am not a fan of Poloniex and if they want to rat you out to regulators well at least we're informed.  hopefully this leads to 'well regulated' exchange that encourages the average Joe's to enter crypto.

'Rex I guess will swing back into popularity.  But they missed the boat in establishing a collection of solid coins, and instead focused on RyanPump/SurplusBob con coins, but if Crapsty goes under then they get a chance to grab a few good markets.

CCex always seemed fishy ... but they just might turn out to be an 'established' exchange.

There's room for 10-20 solid exchange houses.  And likely 3-5 top tier 'ALT' markets.

Ultimately I am looking forward the one big super market.  You can manage the books via desktop software, and arb bots will instantaneously fill orders by constantly sniffing the API feeds of 30-40 exchanges.

I think the days of housing coins at the exchange are limited to 1-2 more years.  And in 2016 we should see some exchanges offering better ways to trade. (Currently they want your coins to arb the market themselves (else stake'm) do the fractional reserve thing).

The one you need on the list is Bleutrade.  They don't have the volume, but I've never heard of anything screwy and they've been around for a long time.  Cryptopia, yes looks promising but it needs some 'professionalism' lessons.
5064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: November 19, 2015, 10:24:41 AM

I don't like complicated plans. I am a simple man.

Step 1.  Don't die.
Step 2.  Thrive

okay. i've slept on it. even had some whiskey and thought upon it.
i agree.  the next 90-180 days is just trying to find a balance between price and volume.
basic trade instrument stuff.  watch the charts.  discuss prices.  hit the bid/ask books.
(why? all about market capital and we are in the neighborhood of Zeta, FTC, iX, digitalnote, vnl, rdd ... that aint too shaggy considering all of them were +$1M coins ... just maintain capital and then surge once we've got some added value boosters Wink )

MAIN MISSION is drain cryptsy. (as always)

optional mission: if you like NOTE, RDD, POT, CBX, DMD, GMC, CLAM, BLK, GLD, SXC, CANN, LTC, DOGE, DOT, FTC, POP, or dozens of others look at trading on cryptopia in non-btc pairs, preferable find a coin you like and establish a healthy UNO based market Grin

also don't forget uno/ltc doge/uno on bleu.

OLD plans to come back to say Early Spring 2016

1. another exchange listing(s) 1 china exchange, and maybe polo, and whatever else seems a clear good choice.  For now we need to knock on yobits door, but I am not impressed with their inability to compile a known good code, that at least 10+ other professional crypto platforms have set up without issue.  Also might be best to just step back from the exchanges and wait for them to clean up and shape up.  There is not a single prefect exchange at the moment.  All of them have some issues they need to deal with.  And new players may enter the picture.

2.  Formal market plans.  New Websites.  Improve the old websites.  And ad campaigns/adverts.

3.  Crypto 2.0 applications and Multi Sig apps.

4.  Formal Divisions of Labor, more 'official' team members.

5.  UNO Mall, Mark has mentioned this often, but there might be simple a way to make it happen.

This is not to say you can't do something on your own.  I've got projects I am continuing to focus on by myself but are not worth ramping up into 'group projects' until post holidays.

BIG GOALS by end of 2016
a) trade options on NXT, ETH, BTS ... 2.0 etc.
b) more Devs/Talent joining the ranks
c) core-tain-ium ... solid reserves 'buyers of last resort team' backing UNO
d) formal roadmap/brand (year 2020 plan)
e) solid liquidity via shapeshift like services
f) SHA-256 miner pool expansion

fuck fuck fuck

yeah the Titanic may have hit an iceburg and the engine room is flooding
but the Capt. is ignoring these facts.

Mean while passengers can exit to the life boats, but only at the rate of 1lb. per 24 hrs and a max of 4lbs per 30 days.
Fuck me I am 400lbs.  Grin
5066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin vs dogecoin? on: November 18, 2015, 03:56:26 PM
funny thing
LTC vs. Doge

i am thinking on a managed asset that profits from balancing a LTC/Doge portfolio Wink
5067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BARR] We have burned 24% of the available BARR supply! on: November 18, 2015, 03:53:39 PM
i have no idea what DGCS is.
so maybe just best to ignore these FUDish rants.
5068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpartanCoin - Cryptocoin for the competitive world. on: November 18, 2015, 03:44:51 PM
Had issues with yobit.
UNO paid for a listing and they seem unable to compile the wallet.

O'RLY?

They can compile umpt'een sheeetCoin wallets but can't manage UNO, we've even showed them how to update their library.
So yobit NOPE ... but it is a free world fund the listing if you'd like.

I'd get behind a bleu listing Wink
5069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitRaam BRM Information on: November 18, 2015, 03:40:43 PM
Raam Raam

never trade listed on a noteworthy exchange
5070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [O2O] 020Londoncoin | o2ocoin takeover+re-brand | OLD coin NEW life | on: November 18, 2015, 03:31:56 PM
Seems to have been resolved.

020 needs a 2nd market exchange ... i like Cryptopia but if the admins are going to act like Mob Bosses and shot anyone who has ever talk with a coin they find issues with ... then there is a bit of danger and risk in having it as the only exchange.

I would suggest getting a bleu listing as it has a healthy LTC and Doge markets.
5071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MRY] Murraycoin ▪ The Only Currency Worthy of Bill Murray ▪ Now Scrypt-2048 on: November 18, 2015, 03:08:40 PM
Hail Dali Llamas

bholzer stepping-in to do anything is welcome

granted long time no see, but to be honest the website was up and the code and network ran with no issues, that's fine with me, techwise things functioned.

Tech Dev stuff needed ...
sure things could be updated improved
so bholzer updating things on the github more than makes me happy to see.

stuff mostly needed ...
Community Leadership
so bholzer maybe not the best candidate
but if he got something going with the Murray Bros regarding a golf tournament then i'd change my mind right quick

so the tone is not "Where da hell you been!"
more like "well let's get some stuff done, aye!"
5072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EMD] Emerald Crypto Official Thread - Two Years Old and Counting! on: November 18, 2015, 09:20:35 AM
anyone want to test out the coins-e market
can't tell if actually alive ... there is no trade activity but it appears fully open and functional.

reason might be wise to have it as a proven exchange just in case cryptsy does some locking of funds.
exchange PLAN B Wink

wouldn't mind if EMD just stays a solid $15-$45k coin for the next 2 years.
i have some 'case use' projects in mind but it might best to just focus on the basics ... block explorers, wallets, exchanges, pools, and price support until the next halving.
5073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] The Epic 420 Alliance Joint Force - United we stand! on: November 18, 2015, 09:06:05 AM
congrats to Sativa!
http://stv.explorer.bitnodes.net/

DOPE is taking the lead in 'do it'.
And my recent realization is that any and all 420 coins can grow & back with greens.
Each with differing grower and dispensary association.  Truly decentralized.

5075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [POP][ANN] PopularCoin ☆ Now Exchanged On ★Cryptsy and ★Cryptopia↩ on: November 18, 2015, 06:40:31 AM
I'd like to see POP work with the BTCS team (voting on the block chain).

Popular and vote tech are a natural match Wink

---
coin inflation is approximately 137,181,155 POP

2.6 BTC / yr

POP has got what it takes to survive

later it thrives!
5076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: November 18, 2015, 06:27:05 AM
That this blatant, publicly admitted scam is somewhat still around is a credit to the amazing level of stupidity of some humans. Impressive, really.

this maybe the first time I have ever fully agreed with barabbas !!

0 reward problems with BITBAR and OSC

Dug this out of a post from two years ago.
This should help explain all the 0.00 stake rewards.

My bitbar daemon complains about not being 0.4.1. It's compiled straight from https://github.com/aLQ/bitbar. Where can I get the source for this elusive 0.4.1?

Same here and I have just started a giveaway  Shocked https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238328.0
- no rounding for PoS blocks, to address low PoS diff and those small PoS rewards
What does 'no rounding' mean?

Also, how are you in contact with the dev? And are you allowed to give his details?

Not everybody has their bitbar clients connected.
I think not everyone Know the 5% RoI on PoS.
That makes PoS difficulty is very low.
Low diff is why even small transactions can make PoS blocks after very small amount of time, and the reward is minimal.
rounding is up to 2 decimals, rounddown.  Super small rewards ale below rounding are not paid.

ex:

reward of 3.432353 is rounded to 3.43
reward of 3.439865 is rounded to 3.43
reward of 0.009234 is rounded to 0.00

POS reward is rounded down - or - the I look at it, everything after the second 0 after the decimal point (.00xxx) is dropped.
