bad form cryptsy ... 2nd time in less than a month they've done pop quiz no notice policy changes.

and why are the Cryptsty and Polo 'policies' so different?

Yes, I've just seen the new changes. I think their hands were tied. I'd agree with you that it's bad form. Real name, birthday etc. clashes with their Privacy Statement, which says that you can remain anonymous. The log in has always required a name before you can trade - I suppose it's difficult to explain to the authorities that there are so many 'Mickey Mouses' in the world! I expect the Privacy Statement will be updated.

Can't be good for Cryptsy. I think they know it. They've announced that all trades do not have fees attached to them. None of the other US exchanges seem to be affected ... yet.

The main muck up on their part is making the change immediately, announcing the change beginning in November would at least have been good form.
Weird part is Poloniex's  policy
Level 1 Verification
only requires :
First Name:
Last Name:
Country:
Daily withdrawal limit $2,000 USD equivalent

Strange part if these are regulations are required by fincern, why is there such a difference between the 2 exchanges.
It feels like they are kind of making it up as they go along.  Tongue
Bittrex won't be far behind now that Poloniex & Cryptsy require it.
It will be interesting to see if it causes an Exodus to Non-US exchanges.

new tier requirements

Tier 0 Maximum Withdraw Limits
Daily       $ 25
Monthly   $100

Tier 1 Maximum Withdrawal Limits
Requirements  : Real Name : Address : Birthday
Daily          $2000
Monthly     $10000

how exchange wallets work

When you make deposits to an exchange or even some other services your deposit address does not actually belong to you, its not a wallet all its own. Its a larger wallet that they track what you have put in typically with a database to track how many coins you put in and take out. When someone makes a withdraw from it the wallet finds various inputs in this case looks like yours may have been small enough combines them and sends them out. That being the most likely scenario. It could also be them moving the coins to a cold wallet or safe wallet.

Now as far as no history of it as far as your sale? Got me on that one.

Does anyone get the vibe that Cryptsy has just gotten deeply in bed with the US government?

Know your Customer Tiered verification?

No warning?

With the terrible security, who would be comfortable in leaving any personally identifiable information with that group?

Yah get the vibe.
And always suspect of companies that demand your details (mugshots and all) but won't provide the same details to you of their key persons and personnel.

Tried to withdraw 0.00000300 satoshis "This would exceed your daily limits!"
1/10 of a penny!

next
"Falsifying personal information is a crime and may lead to an unwarned lockout of your account."
well isn't that just great.

Some yahoo for some reason can without warning ... lockout and lockup your money ... cuz well now we got this handy thing called ... "Falsifying personal information" ... har har har ... well that solved our solvency issue right quick ... har har har!

Many of the cannabis coins are slowly dying. CANN was promising but it is dropping and dropping and nobody cared about the peg anymore.
I think CANN will be fine, I get the feeling they have something coming. I have no inside information, but I have a strong suspicion something is coming.

Needs more people involved.

DICE1.com
https://dice1.com

I was lucky and grabbed that domain about a year ago with the plan to start a bitcoin casino game. Since I didn't have the time to finish it I'm now trying to sell this domain here. The domain is 9 years old and was only parked, so perfect for any gambling related project! You could for example create a number one dice site, a first-class casino, a dice toplist or of course any other cool site with that simple & easy to remind name. Since it doesn't include 'bit', 'coin' or 'crypto' there are many possibilities.

Starting price: 1.00 BTC
Min. increase: 0.01 BTC
Buy now price: 8.00 BTC
Ending date: Nov 1, 2015 at 8:00 PM UTC

Questions? Ask!

Happy bidding

NGL / AROORAAAH
Fellow Gulden fans,

Again recent events have gotten me thinking about my involvement in this community. The fact Fuse felt the need to come back here to, once more, defend the Criptoe team made me realize what my problem with in this community.

You see, I am a team player. One of the most recent attacks on my person was completed with this question: "I bet you were one of those kids that got a prize everytime you played weren't you" Well I can tell you, yes I won a lot of prizes, but never alone, always together with a team that could work together and count on each other.

In this community all I see is groups but not a team. There actually are several groups, all formed by individuals that try to win discussions, not by creating real progress but only by creating the illusion they contribute by winning arguments. The only team here is the Dev team and for sure they produce results as a team. Trouble is though, they are in it to win the game as well, so anyone in the groups outside their team can expect resistance from them.

As much as I have tried to get them to understand that the entire community with all those different groups can form a team as well to achieve greater progress, all I have gotten so far is resistance and lockouts from their inner circle.

So, I have decided to become a true team player again. Currently that means I'm going to dedicate my time and efforts on the only true teams I'm part of in Crypto. That is Criptoe and the Auroracoin DEV team.

Until the time comes I feel my contributions can actually make a difference again, I'm completely withdrawing from this community. I will keep my coins long term as an investor, but that is all I'm going to be from now, a silent investor.

So, cheerful times to all you who see me as a troll trying to rule and conquer. I'm no longer in your way Eloys.

As an investor I hope you will do well!

Cheers,

LTEX

well that is a little scary ... there needs to be a drive to pull coins from the exchanges ... if your not going to sell in the next 15days there's little point and lots of risk using exchanges as storage ... mt cryptsy may or may not be going down
