Why? Because it brings value to the project which thus helps capitalize the stake held by developers thus incentive and means to keep the project moving towards newer and better features.

Not a bad business model.

The website could hold escrow of 'the chips' but can settle up between each and every game.

Myraid is way more secure.  So is designed to take on lots of value.
Too bad Digi is already the pack leader of the multialgo class.  

Vert is doomed to a long period of depressed prices.  The mining schedule is too long and early investors will be burnt out.
Also Vert is more competing with FTC ... the super-anti-asics class.


Smart money will go with the multialgo class. 

Geeks w/ graphic cards will seek the super-anti-asics class. 

The kicker is that Myraid has attached 2 odd duck algos that the Geeks w/ graphic cards can mine.

the days of the exchange houses are numbered (the mtGox issue looms still)

so I have full faith that direct p2p trading is the future, or at the very least each coin community will provide a shape-shift like swapping service  

projects like OpenBazaar or Halo basically have the tech ready to go and with the amount of $$ being thrown at crypto 2.0 ETH/NXT/BTS ... someone will create something better than this legacy exchange house model

crypto is program-able money
so imaginer this
all the books (bid/ask) will be api cyber linked into one giant singular market ... most still have little faith in the alts ... but i still see then need for at least 300-500 major block chains all integral to the digital currency network

sidechains/colored coins will get layed on top of all that

actually agree ... seems to be a legit project with guys full of bags of cash to accumulate and pump back up.
but rex doesn't care ... their model will likely play out well for them in the long run ... list the hot potato of the week then and when it fizzles delist.  So they are geared to capture high volume (day trade).  What they lack is listing coins that investors (not gamblers) would like to see.

Welcome.

Yes.  I was in the "Let's hold off on MM camp" when we started to discuss it.

But UNO was mined by independents for 4/5ths of the max coin count.  

And yes now all remaining coins will be mined by the "ASIC industry" ... but before we hit $10 the rewards per day will already be under 4 unos per day.  It will take 300 years for the industrial ASIC farms to mine that last 20%.  All in all I think it was a smart move to go MM, the gain is security in hash protection and the cost is a minimal daily fee to be part of the largest and strongest POW network, actually the biggest baddest super computer thus created.  Not a bad deal if you ask me.
