A little bit from both I guess. I'm not gambler, I like to bet on sports, not always and not with big money. It's make watching of the game a bit more exited.
I guess people like to gamble cause of fun and profit, combined this two things can make us happy. All of us like to make money from thw work we enjoy to do everyday. Not everyone is lucky to have that. Just gambling have one negative side, can make someone rich but also can make someone poor. Be careful to not become poor from fun.

   Many members here hoped that bitcoin price will pass 1000$ before halving, that didn't happen as everyone can see, but I also hope that bitcoin can go up to this price. I don't know when, and I`m not so good in predictions, all I can do is to hope that will happen very soon.
   People are talking before this new year, that would be great for me. I have some coins, and that means my stash will worth almost double then now. I`m gathering coins on many sides, when ever that 1000$ price come that will be good for me, sooner or later it doesn't matter.

   Same as we do, little bit of faucets, couple simple games. Also kids can be active here on forum, and to make some rank while they read and learn about bitcoins here.
   Intelligent kids can start with these activities sooner,  but not before age of 10. Before that kids are too young, and their brains are not ready for all of this.
   How many years have youngest member here? Anybody knows answer on this question maybe?

   Trading is risky if you don't know what are you doing. Definition is simple, buy when price is low, sell when price is up. But what if price start to go down after buying? What if you can't sell after buying? What if hackers hack exchange site?
   When there is too many "what if" situation is risky. Many things can go wrong in trading, that is for experienced people with knowledge about economy. It's not easy to predict movement of the market, the ones who knows make profit, others just lose.

   That is huge money for me and my situation, I will never see that amount of money in my life. Probably I would need couple days to come to myself after first shock. And then couple more days for thinking carefully about my next move.
   Who knows what would I do, but if I made 100 from one I would try the same with 5 from start. And rest I would cash out, and buy a house and car. I can even buy furniture for house with that money. That would be amazing, with my salary I can just dream about it.

   Many people here have problems with investing bitcoins into some business. Scammers on every side, gambling is very risky, what stayed?
   I keep my coins, and slowly growing amount I have. One day I will try to invest them into something, but for now I just see how people lose coins with wrong decisions. How to invest in anything?
   Is it possible that here are many people without any experience or they are just stupid? In some moment's I don't know what to think after reading some threads.
   Did anyone here earned from some investment? Where you invested? How much you invested? How big profit was in the end?

   Amazing commercial, I didn't saw nothing similar before. This is good way for promoting bitcoin and blockchain, we need more commercials like this for people who still didn't hear about blockchain. I like this commercial, and I shared it on my Facebook page right away, this is my little contribution for bitcoin community. I think everyone should do it!

   I don't play dice game so often, and when I do I play it with coins from faucets, or if I'm lucky from aome giveaway. Around hour or two once in two week's, not more. I don't think dice game is a simple game to win, looks easy at first sight, but after playing dice game for some time I found out that huge bankroll is needed for some winning in this game.
   Huge bankroll, like more then couple hundred dollars, and then to play with 100 satoshi base bet. Maybe that can make this game a bit easier, now doesn't matter how much I try I always lose everything in the end.

   "I would start from 0.1 BTC. If everything will be ok I pay more more money .." It looks to me that you are living in a dream, and that kind of system works only in imagination. Ok I admit, someone can hit gold mine, but how often that happen?
   I don't see the point of this thread, some newbie wrote that he will invest, didn't said in what, but "if everything will be ok, he will pay more and more" well good for him. Its better to invest money he have, then to spend it on stupid things.

   Think twice before you invest your money into gambling, its a risky business. They are not giving away money, making profit in casino is not easy like it sounds. Its not just hard to take money from casino, there is high chance that you will lose money there.
   Much better thing to do is to invest money in your skills, if you have any. If you don't have any skills then with money you have pay your education. There is many schools around the internet, and probably in your town. Learn about programing or graphic design, what ever you like to do.

   There is nothing I hate about bitcoins. I don't know is there something I can hate, currency like any other. Many don't like to wait for transactions, well I don't mind that, I have patience to wait for that to complete.
   Bitcoins are good as they are now, I wouldn't change anything. I think over time everything is going to be fixed and transactions will be much faster. Normally there is problems with bitcoins, but every currency have some flaws. I don't think those flaws are so big that I can say that I hate bitcoins for that, simply I like bitcoin in this current shape.

   Russia has enormous deposits of natural resources, including oil and natural gas. It is a major energy exporter, and potentially contains 20 percent of the world's natural resources. That's why they are rising, they find a good way to exploit al that and make big profit.
   On top of that, Siberia is not fully explored yet, who knows what they have there. As long as they control all that, they will have big market. A lot of people talking about Russia economy rise under their president Putin, and we can say that before him Russia was devastated from inside. He bring back some order in their state, and under Putin they started their way up.

   I tried most of the things OP mentioned, not all, but most of them I'm still using. That is how I growing my stash of bitcoins, little here, little there its how I plan to get that 1 bitcoin for beginning.
   I'm guessing I will need time for that, I hope over time my rank will be higher here, I will make more then now, in same time I'm learning about different ways of multiplying my coins, and for now I'm not sure in any.
   Just earning and putting on a side is my way how to get first bitcoin.

   I don't know how possible is to compare lottery with sports. Chances to win on lottery are very small. And many people wish with dollar to make millions.
   Sport iw different system, you find your odds put money you wish on that bet and collect profit if yku win. Better chances are on sport betting then on lottery, profit can be smaller of course, but at least we have some decent chances for win.

   Awesome stories in this thread, I see many people with positive experience and with really changing-life stories. I hope one day bitcoins will change my life as well, on some positive way of course.
   For now I'm still on beginning of the road, I see how some people earn and how big profits they make, that can really affect life in very big scale.
   In some moment's I'm surprised with high amounts I see people handle every day, I regret cause I didn't saw bitcoins earlier, maybe I would have same experience like you guys.

   I still don't buy bitcoins, I`m in faze of thinking and informing myself about all possibilities. When and if I buy them it will be just for holding, I don't trust in anything around internet. In the moment I buy them I need to be sure at least 75 % that bitcoin price will rise in couple years.
   With all this ups and downs I don't plan to trade with bitcoin, to buy low and sell high like everyone here say, well its easy to say how suppose to know when is high and low? Knowledge is needed for that, I don't have it, so for me just long term investment is possible. Buy on any price and wait couple years, then sell or decide to wait more.

   I have that fear in some moments, that stops me to invest my money into bitcoins. I have fear if everything just disappear one day, all of a sudden and without any warning. For me its like 50/50 chances for that to happen, I`m asking my self all the time how much can bitcoin last? How much can we earn with bitcoins?
   I`m full with doubts in some moments, I`m gathering coins, trying many things to earn small amounts of bitcoins , but deep in myself I`m still not sure how much all this is real.

   Well I don't know for any country that accept bitcoin as currency. I think bitcoin is still just for network, and there isn't  government that accepted or make some regulations about bitcoins. Just a lot of talking about it, and moving that topic for some future times.
   If bitcoin continue to be accepted by the people around the world in next five years, like it was case in last five years, everyone who didn't pay attention on bitcoin will regret. In next five years maybe price will grow also, and with that bitcoin will be more stabile probably. I think many companies will start to work with bitcoins also, and shops/stores.
   

   Addiction is not from one playing, its not working like that. Its just illusion, I don't believe in addiction, that is just people feel boring and don't have what else to do and they make stupid habits. People who wish to stop to gamble simply need to start to something else, to think about something else.
   Before you get into something like gambling, try to work on your self control, that will help you in gambling and if you wish to stop with gambling. People who can control them self`s are stronger and they will not spent all money on gambling. People should just play smart and with money they can spent, and they will never have problem with any addiction.
