You  only live once, so enjoy life. I'm 81 in June, and I've moved into a converted van. I have no money worries, and I can eat steak and salmon when I want to. I talk to people living in houses who sit under blankets because they can't afford heating, and complain because the cost of bread has gone up. Just make sure you are healthy, and can enjoy good food and sunshine in a stress free environment. Don't get into debt. If you can't afford it, don't buy it.

You don't need to understand the technology behind the operation of Bitcoin to appreciate its utility. You need an open mind. You need to realise that it is not a tool for the use of criminals, but a new method to exchange a real asset. You also need to understand that, although it is a virtual asset, it is also a hard asset. In fact it is more of a hard asset than owning property in England. Most people can't comprehend that. To realise the truth in my statement, just think what would happen if you built a house on "your" land without government permission.If the government wants your land for a road or a rail track, then it will just take it, and offer you below market compensation if you are lucky. So in reality in the modern world, owning a house is just owning a virtual asset - the government issued title to occupy the house, and not the physical building. Of course, I haven't mentioned fiat currencies, the biggest scam of all the virtual assets.

I'm an omnivore. I even eat stinging nettles I've harvested from the fields. I don't eat minced ( ground ) beef or hamburgers, but I do enjoy a good steak. I don't et of cook with seed oils, but use butter, olive  and coconut oil. I swim in the sea naked, and try to keep busy. Alcohol is fine as long as you don't drink too much, and stick to good quality. Cheap alcohol doesn't do you any good.

The main point is that I don't mind if I don't sell the name, as I look on it as an investment. Fiat currencies are not investments in my opinion, but Bitcoin is. That is why I prefer to swop one investment for another, rather than accept fiat, and then try to work out what to do with it.

Yesterday I had an enquiry for the sale of one of my domain names, and I've provided a Bitcoin alternative to a Sterling price. I quoted £15,000 or 0.5 Bitcoin. Bitcoin is currently quoted at around £22,500, so the Bitcoin option is quite a bit cheaper. I decided to do this for 2 reasons. One is that I don't care about the volatility of Bitcoin, as I will save the proceeds ( if it sells ) rather than exchange it for Fiat. The other reason is that my belief is that Bitcoin is at the start of a slow bull run. This means that I will soon recover the difference if my opinion is correct. A more important reason also stems from the volatility. If the price drops, then the buyer gets the chance to save even more by paying in Bitcoin - this assumes that he will purchase the Bitcoin, rather than spending coins that he already has. If the price looks like increasing, then he will be under pressure to make an early purchase, as holding off will increase the price he will have to pay in Fiat terms.

Another obvious benefit comes from the international nature of .com domain names. I am in the UK, and I have a Sterling bank account. The buyer could be anywhere in the world, and is unlikely to have direct access to Sterling deposits. Bitcoin allows him to use his local currency to deal with me directly, assuming that he has a reliable exchange service of course. I've started this thread in an attempt to encourage people selling international assets to quote prices in Bitcoin, rather than in depreciating Fiat currencies.

It looks as if the Chinese have bought the UK arm of the Silicon Valley Bank. I thought the US was anti China and trying to sanction the country publicly. Electricity is far to valuable to waste on pushing cars around, especially as the current EVs are massively damaging to the environment, and force up the cost of home heating and industial use of electricity. It would be far better if the 30% tax was imposed on EVs when more energy efficient ICE vehicles could be used.

Everybody seems to be discussing exchanging Bitcoin for fiat. Isn't that against the original Bitcoin philosophy? I accept Bitcoin for domain name sales and a few other things. That seems to be a far better idea than supporting a dying banking system.
It would be interesting to find out the tax implications in selling a classic Volvo car for Bitcoin. Private car sales are gains tax exempt in the UK.
