What is going to be next? Are we going to have to register the ethnicity and religion of the wallet owner?
1002  Other / Off-topic / Pets used to guard property on: September 19, 2020, 08:11:05 AM
This is my latest research project, and I'm looking at some of the more common pets that are used to guard houses, and other property. So far I have found -

Guard dogs - these are the obvious pets, and have been used almost as long as man has been around.
Guard donkeys - these are great for guarding flocks of sheep
Guard cats - a bit of a stretch this one,but cats are territorial.
Guard llamas - great for protecting goat herds.
Guard geese - often used to look after chickens. They kick up a hell of a noise when disturbed, and keep the grass short.
Guard snake - I had to include this, as Harrods used a cobra to guard a £65,000 pair of shoes.

Please let me know if you can think of any other interesting ones, or feel free to comment on the ones I have mentioned.
1003  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I'm reviewing my domain name business to focus on Bitcoin on: September 19, 2020, 07:29:52 AM
The hardest part is in finding names that you can use to make money. You can buy names on the domainer forums, and wholesaler rates tendto be about 10% of the end user price, and that price difference reflects the difficulty you may have in selling names, especially if you haven't bult a retail selling site. You can use the auction sites, but the costs are fairly high, and there is no guarantee that you will sell for a profit if you are new to the industry.

One low cost way to gain experience is to use expired lists like Expired domains, and I am a member of that service. You should be aware that any names on that list will have been picked over at various stages before it gets to the list, and people wait to see the latest drops as they appear in the list, and they will grab anything that interests them as soon as it appears. This means that you will miss a good name if you do any research before you attempt to register it. I pay less than $9 for a registration, and this is possibly the cheapest way to own a viable name if you can judge its value quickly. I would start with this service, and register a couple of names. Many names offer free market sites and sales landing pages, so you should use one of those.

Valuing a name is quite difficult, as like all sales products, itd value is what somebody will pay for it. Valuation sites can help, but they are not very accurate. One service worth looking at is GoDaddy domain appraisal. Lets take my latest acquisition, and this is a "hand registered" name. This means I explored some possibilities, and found that it was available, and thus it cost me less than $9 for ownership of a one year renewable lease. This is GuardPets.com. I posted the link as I am currently building an experimental landing page and site, and I can discuss this in subsequent posts if there is enough interest. Godaddy values this at $1,500, and the keyword "guard" has average sales results of $1,999. Guard dogs are an expanding interest in the current economic crisis, so I may ask for 0.3 Bitcoin for an immediate sale. In the meantime, I will add some information pages, and some paid links to earn some revenue whilst I wait for a sale. Once I've worked out the basic structure of the site, and affrf dsome useful content, then I do a bit of search optimisation and link promotion.

I looked at some other keyword sequences, and PetsGuard.com is available for purchased at £3,474.50, and Huge Domains are offering GuardPet.com for $2,095, so I am quite pleased to have found this name, although I suspect it will take some time to find a buyer.

So why are the elderly more at risk?
Because they have been pumped full of poisonous pharmaceuticals, and injected with useless and dangerous vaccines. I
1006  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I'm reviewing my domain name business to focus on Bitcoin on: September 18, 2020, 02:28:13 PM
There is no simple answer to that. At the moment I am dealing almost exclusively with .com names, so my cooments are related to them. Other extensions are broadly similar though.

You need to think of a name as a leasehold house. You don't own the name, but you have the right to use it as long as you pay the annual rental fee, and there are some protections as long as you do this. The annual cost of a lease is less than $10, and you need to add hosting to that if you want to host your own landing page. Just like a house, you can make money in a variety of ways, you can rent it, or sell the lease. You can get paid to display advertising, or you can run membership clubs. Of course you can combine those to obtain revenue whilst you wait for a sale.

Flipping is buying or registering a name, and selling it within one month. Registering is finding an unused name, and claiming it through your registrar, all you pay for that is the registration fee. Buying a name is purchasing the lease from the current owner. In this case you have to pay a purchase price, and there may be some extra fees such as escrow, or adding an extra year to the lease agreement.

The skill comes from finding a good name at a price that is below market value, and then finding a buyer who will provide a profit. You may find one almost immediately, or it could take a few years to find the right buyer. In the meantime, you have to cover the ownership costs, and you can do this from advertising revenue.

Investing and dealing in domain names sits nicely alongside Bitcoin. I've decided it's rime I did something with the names I have, and maybe I should pick up a few more as the global markets change. Would any of you guys be interested in discussions about finding, monetising and selling domain names to accumulate Bitcoin?

I think a smartphone is about as small as I want to go. I'm most interested in setting up a mobile coms centre in my van, and I'm going to try open Suse as an alternative to Ubuntu and Mint.
1009  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is in mind of those, who against vaccination? on: September 18, 2020, 09:34:16 AM
That's a comment from the indoctrinated. Those of us who are opposed to vaccination are usually the ones who have done some research, and know people who have been severely damaged by vaccines. I am unable to find any positive benefit from an inferior system that tries to emulate the human immune system, and creates collateral damage whilst it does it. You know that vaccination is suspect by the way they are rushing to push unsafe vaccines onto people, who have already developed a natural immunity. Doesn't that make you stop and think that there may be some other reason for wasting billions of the taxpayer money on something that is no longer needed?
1010  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well I had to fill in a contact tracing form this morning. on: September 18, 2020, 09:00:10 AM
Oh dear. Smiley

The baked beans or peas are added by using a serving spoon. When they say "I put a some extra beans on there for you", then that is positive discrimination. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't really know if that is just marketing, or staff being friendly. Similarly "I've added an extra sausage" is good for customer relations. Also, I get offered free sandwiches sometimes after the cafe has closed, but that might just be an attempt to save waste. Obviously if you alienate the staff, then you won't get these offers.

Anyway, my policy change seems to be of benefit to me, so I can't see any upside in reverting to public displays of disaffection.
1011  Other / Meta / Re: The captcha for logging in is impossible. on: September 18, 2020, 08:10:02 AM
I don't have any problems with Bitcoin Talk, but I often have problems with other sites when using public WiFi. If the provider decides to block the site, then I use a Tor window in Brave, and ofter the captcha is impossible. In fact if I can't get in within 2 attempts, then I move on. Either I go back to Google, and look for an alternative site, or I wait until I am on a different WiFi network.

I can always tether my mobile, and I'm considering using an unregistered PAYG mobile for this.
1012  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well I had to fill in a contact tracing form this morning. on: September 18, 2020, 07:54:38 AM
I'm such a hypocrite. I filled in my form the other day as Boris Johnson, and I was told off for doing it. I've noticed that if you are a militant who is opposed to the government narrative, then sometimes you get smaller portions in the restaurants. On the other hand if you portray yourself as a poor old pensioner, who is doing his best to comply with the regulations under difficult circumstances, then sometimes you get larger portions, or extras with your meals. I'm now a model citizen, even if I do run the risk of getting fat. Smiley
1013  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Huawei without Google on: September 17, 2020, 01:37:50 PM
It looks as if it does have WiFi and bluetooth, and it's Amazon that didn't bother to mention it.

I think some devices are starting to think about remote access. I've just bought a wild life camera that doesn't have bluetooth, and the WiFi has a remote switch. The switch looks like a watch with a couple of buttons instead of a face. I suspect this is to avoid people sensing the camera as they walk past with connectivity scanning enabled.
1014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well I had to fill in a contact tracing form this morning. on: September 17, 2020, 10:54:34 AM
Better that they contact more people than they need to, rather than the opposite.

It would be better if they left them alone unless they need help. The primary reason that older people are at risk over their health is because the Pharma sales force ( doctors ) keep persuading them to accept damaging vaccines, and poisonous drugs that mess up their bodies. Age is not a disease, but it is becoming a medically created sickness.
1015  Other / Off-topic / Re: USA Military Expenditure: Why Spend So Much? on: September 17, 2020, 10:46:47 AM
The dominant military power in the world is the Five Eyes Alliance, and the US is the fall guy who takes all the blame for the aggression. The military expenditure is important to suck money from the American taxpayers, and feed it through to the ruling dynasties. When you are considering the cost of this military expenditure, you can't just look at the cost of the hardware. You need to include the cost of transport, personnel, medical care, pensions for the personnel and administration as well as the salaries. You should also reflect on the loss of life, and the cost of that to the economy. Then there is the damage to trade as a result of military aggression.

I'm hoping that their new OS will arrive before thery run out of chips. Smiley

It's such a large well funded company, that I suspect they will be able to find an alternative source of chips, and that will be another massive  market lost to the US.
1017  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: September 17, 2020, 09:24:56 AM
Bitcoin is going to crash and recover and crash and recover again. You need to watch the long term trend of the lows, and not the highs. It's only association with viruses, and mortgage repossessions and the like, is the fact that they are being used to create bear squeezes to allow the bankers to harvest Bitcoins.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin society on: September 17, 2020, 09:18:34 AM
I'm convinced that Bitcoin was created as an experimental project by a group of bankers. Right now it seems they are starting to harvest as many coins as they can. This is being done to enable them to maintain high volatility in the price, and thus frighten away the general public. Once you accept this, then you are in the fortunate position of being able to use Bitcoin for wealth preservation, and, if you are sensible, to use it to earn some income from trading and scalping.
1019  Other / Off-topic / Re: do you think Healthcare and College should be free for all in the US? If so, how on: September 17, 2020, 09:12:01 AM
Just as a matter of interest, why is it still called "health care"? It seems that the people who spend the most on it ( or have it spent on them ) are the unhealthiest people.
1020  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well I had to fill in a contact tracing form this morning. on: September 17, 2020, 09:08:13 AM
The whole Corona virus panicdemic (sic) is really a load of banker's bollocks. Track and trace is a total waste of taxpayers' money, and it shouldn't be supported. We don't fill in the forms because there have been cases of people harvesting the phone numbers, and propositioning  the form provider. I don't trust the government either, I get loads of messages from the so-called health service, and they tell me that I am in a high risk category. In fact the reverse is true, as I haven't had any vaccinations or pharmaceuticals for around 60 years, and I've survived 4 pandemics with little more than a few sniffles.

It really is time that people did a bit of research, and stopped pushing the bankers' agenda that is supported by the governments. It is selfish of you to leech off the taxpayers because you can't be bothered to find out the real facts, and take control of your health. Stuffing poison pills down your throat isn't an alternative to basic natural health care, even if the pills do come from Bill Gates and the rest of his coven.

Anyway, I have had a change of tack. I am now providing my correct details to see if they are abused.
