Huge trust goes to Velacreations [ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=79340 ]

The guy is honest all the way. The transaction was awhile back, and we talk on a daily basis.

I made a new friend for life. +1 to velacreations.
1282  Economy / Goods / Re: [Sell] Cuban Cigars for Bitcoins/Litecoins. on: June 15, 2013, 06:18:07 AM
Nice job on this! I plan to order some soon.

Question: is that domain or website yours?

Prompted by another thread I've decided to put out an offer I've been considering doing for awhile, that being offering to sell Cuban Cigars for Bitcoins.

I'm pretty well connected in the online cigar community, but admittedly have been kind of inactive in the various public forums for the last year or so. I'm a member of a variety of private cigar forums and can find quite a wide variety of sticks. I've made buying trips to Cuba and have executed something close to $25K-$30K worth of cigar transactions, group buys, box splits etc etc with people all over the world, and a fair number of different vendors.

The point of all that is that I'm decently qualified to offer this service and you don't have to worry about getting saddled with fakes, which if you know anything about CCs can be a concern if you are not familiar with your sources.

OTC Rating
A satisfied customer
And another
And yet another

I can offer a number services:
  • Direct sales of cigars I currently possess. See LINK TO CURRENT INVENTORY if you're interested.
  • I can order cigars from available vendors, pay fiat, and accept BTC/LTC from you for payment.
  • Make inquiries with the folks I know to see if something specific you might be looking for can be found, pay fiat, and accept BTC/LTC from you as payment.
  • I don't anticipate any travel in the near future, but I have in the past taken travel opportunities to locate and obtain various Regional Edition releases for others.

Terms and Conditions - 2013/05/08: (note that this list may be amended in the future)
  • Shipping will take place from South Korea to the destination of your choice. I've sent upwards of 100 packages containing CCs from here to North America, Europe, and Asia, with none ever having been lost or damaged.
  • The buyer is responsible for any and all customs duties that may be assessed on packages that make their way from me to you.
  • It is the buyers responsibility to be aware of any laws and regulations regarding the import of tobacco products into the jurisdiction of their requested destination.
  • Payment in BTC/LTC will need to be made before I ship anything to you. I will front the fiat for any purchases from 3rd parties and take on the risk of delivery to me.
  • I offer a 10% discount on all orders totaling over $200 USD before shipping

If you think you may be interested please make a post in this thread, PM me, or contact me via the email address in my profile. My GPG key can be found in my signature should you chose to go that route.

EDITED TO ADD LINK TO CURRENT INVENTORY

May 7, 2012: Edited to add in some successful transaction references.
May 8, 2013: Edited description and terms to more accurately reflect what I'm offering.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG! Is Facebook introducing Bitcoins! on: June 15, 2013, 01:26:13 AM
What fake currency are you talking about? it sounds like you know something we may not. Tell us!

Unlikely.

Currently the trend is creating a fake centralised currency which actually isn't even a currency at all since you can't exchange it with other people; i.e. a credits system which trick the users into thinking it's a currency instead.

And Facebook already has credits (at least they don't pretend they are something else, AFAIK).

I guess it will be something else, completely unrelated.

1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get this website to accept Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2013, 12:05:01 AM
The website is http://www.buyincoins.com and if they used Bitcoin(instead of the "We preffer Paypal") it would really match their name.

Have you bought from them before?
1285  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Lets talk hardware wallets... on: June 15, 2013, 12:04:17 AM
Where can I see the pictures of the hardware wallets?

Its a great idea. Keep up the good work.

So trezor, is now taking pre-orders, and it looks sexy, it is open source and it has a BIP 32 wallet. So I am not married to the device. But should I pre-order it.

I know multibit will support it, but is their a patch for bitcoin-qt that will be released?
Will bitcoind support this? So then I can run a bitcoind for my company and give out addresses without worrying about a hacker.
Will the core developers be officially supporting this device? (Gavin gave it his blessing)
Does anyone know if Armory would be supporting this? I hope armory would support this so then I don't need a whole offline computer just for signing transactions.

Anyone know if I should get this or wait for more competition?

I think Slush is an outstanding member so thank you for developing this much needed tool!
1286  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin Web Hosting Site For Auction on: June 14, 2013, 06:30:05 PM
This has been SOLD. Thanks for everyone's involvement and consideration to buy this, and build a professional network together.

No Details will be disclosed about pricing, buyers name, and any other private details.

Good luck on your search for all investors who did consider this seriously as a relationship opportunity.
1287  Other / Off-topic / Re: I got the email few minutes ago.. [XBOX ONE] PRE-ORDERS ARE HERE on: June 14, 2013, 04:25:41 PM
haha same. I got a lot going on with PC gaming as it sits.

It's nice to have competition and choices. You get to decide what to buy or not buy. Awesome!

No. Thank. You.

Couldn't pay me to take one.

Which game console would you prefer buying currently on the market?
I wouldn't want any console. I'm in PC gaming much much more.
1288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Billboard in California - Honey Badger! on: June 14, 2013, 09:17:19 AM
Okay so after speaking with MemoryDealers. It seems like we can proceed forward with this funding.

I set the price for $13 to help keep costs low enough so that you aren't spending much on it.

Profits will be shared towards funding the development of the IOS/Android version of Bitcoin Feeds app: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220659

Buy it at: http://teespring.com/bitcoinhoneybadger

What do you think?
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Billboard in California - Honey Badger! on: June 14, 2013, 09:05:29 AM
This should answer your question there bigdude.

"Honey badgers favor bee honey, and will often search for beehives to get it, which earns them their name. They often follow a honeyguide (a bird that eats bee larvae) to find the beehives."

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honey_badger

WTF does that billboard even mean ??  Huh
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Billboard in California - Honey Badger! on: June 14, 2013, 09:03:14 AM
ROFL! Bitcoinchecker, did you really write all that out yourself? or has this been used before?

The idea here is Bitcoin don't give a shit à la the meme/YouTube video? I don't get it. Is that the image we want to present for Bitcoin?

Try to imagine the competition using the same advert. Would it work? AmazonPayments - the Honey Badger of money. No, doesn't really work.

Love the shirt and the video.

Here is an alternative voiceover for the video, using Bitcoin ...

This is the Bitcoin. Watch it hash in slow motion.

It's pretty badass. Look. It hashes all over the place. "Whoa! Watch out!" says that bank.

Eew, it's got encryption! Oh! It's chasing a merchant service! Oh my gosh!

Oh, the Bitcoin is just crazy!

The Bitcoin has been referred to by the Guiness Book of World Records as the most fearless currency on the Internet. It really doesn't give a shit. If it's hashing, it's mining.

Eew! What's that in its block chain? Oh, it's got a double-spend? Oh, it runs backwards? Now watch this: look FICEN's up in courts. Bitcoin don't care. It just takes what it wants. Whenever it's mining it just -- Eew, and it mines, transactions... Watch it reward! Look at that mining.

The Bitcoin is really pretty badass. It has no regard for any other currency whatsoever. Look at it, it's just hashing, and mining blocks. Eew! What's that? Silk Road? Oh that's nasty. Bitcoin's so nasty. Oh look it's hashing things and mining them.

The Bitcoin has a fairly long block chain, but a distinctly thickset encryption scheme, and, you know, its developers are loose, allowing it to move about freely, and they twist around.

Now look: Here's a house full of gold bugs. Do you think the Bitcoin cares? It doesn't give a shit, it goes right into the homes of libertarians to get some liquidity. How disgusting is that? It mines silk road transactions. Eew, that's so nasty.

But look! The Bitcoin doesn't care! It's users get hacked like a thousand times. It doesn't give a shit. It's just mining. It doesn't care about being hacked by the feds. Nothing can stop the Bitcoin when it's mining. What a crazy fuck! Look, it's mining anonymous transactions, that's disgusting.

It's hashing in slow-motion again. See?

Now, what's interesting is that other currencies like the dollar here, they just wait around until the bitcoin crashes, and then it swoops in to pick up the scraps. It says, "You do all the work for us, Bitcoin, and we'll just profit whatever you mine, how's that? What'daya say, stupid?"

Look at this currency: "Thanks for the treat, stupid!"

"Hey, come back here," says the Bitcoin.

Currencies don't care, and you know what? The alt-coins do it too. Look at these little alt-coins. They're like "Thanks stupid! Thanks for the mining! See you later." The Bitcoin does all the work and all these other currencies just pick up the scraps.

At nightime the Bitcoin goes mining, because it's hashing. Look! Here comes a fierce battle between a government currency and Bitcoin. I wonder what will happen?

Look at this, there's the Bitcoin just hashing a block, and then look, "Get away from me!" says the government, "Get away from me!" Bitcoin don't care. Bitcoin smacks the shit out of it. And the government comes back and it lashes at the Bitcoin.

Oh, little does the Bitcoin know, FYI: it's been hacked! It's been forked by the 51% attack, so while it's hashing the block chain -- eew, that's disgusting -- all the hacked blocks are seeping into the Bitcoin's block chain, and it forks out. Look at that forked fuck.

Now the Bitcoin is going to fork out for a few minutes, and then it's going to get right back up and start hashing all over again, because it's a resiliant little bastard.

Look at this! Like nothing happened! The Bitcoin gets right back up and continues hashing the block chain.

How disgusting.

And of course, what does the Bitcoin have to hash for the next two weeks?

Transactions.

The Bitcoin.

1292  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you like to know about Prism on: June 14, 2013, 07:28:36 AM
Which Bitcoin Magazine are you referring to? Please share the link.

I'd like to know what is the reason they need such powerful information? what do they plan to do with it?

I'm writing an article for Bitcoin Magazine on Prism and I'd like to ask this community what they would like to know about Prism and how the American Intelligence Infrastructure collects information.

I'll also be covering some ways you can protect yourself from getting snooped on. Let me know.

I've been apart of the Microsoft Store AFF. network for about a year or so now.
I thought I'd let you know about this email that was sent to me about the XBOX ONE PRE-ORDER launch.

I get instant updates about whats going on with Microsoft, and when a new product is
about to hit the market.. Before the launch happens, and when its time to let the public know.

Here's what the email looks like:

Bitcoiners, are you planning on picking up the XBOX ONE?
If so, you have the chance to get in early and pre-order one now.

Want more info about it?
Find out more directly via Microsoft Store: http://smarturl.it/xbox-one

Yes, that is an affiliate link  ^^ I can earn commission if any pre-orders come from it.
The email announcement was really sent to me, so I am just showing you all that too.

Let's discuss XBOX ONE.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [LIVE] Watching and Discussing [BTC/USD] in REAL-TIME! on: June 14, 2013, 02:58:35 AM
That would be awesome.

What do you mean web cast thing? Like a real time talk show discuss charts and what not?

We are chatting and discussing and sharing the ideas (IN REAL TIME)
about BTC/USD @ https://www.tradingview.com/e/u4jxKre3/

  • Chat and discuss the charts
  • Draw your ideas LIVE while others are watching
  • Watch it happen in REAL TIME.

If this was a cable channel, I would pay a subscription fee. Someone needs to come up with a 24/7 webcast thing...

Quite. Much like I would watch France 24 on the TV, I envision it as a news channel which would have relevant stories to Bitcoin. If there is no pressing news, the channel keeps stories on rotation around every 2 hours. Instead of weather or sports, fundamental and technical analysis?

What do you see?

Has anyone shared an idea on the site yet? Its a cool little feature with the ability to screenshot or edit without using PAINT or any software (Externally) and it links you right then and there. I am loving this site.

1299  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5000+ bitcoin? on: June 13, 2013, 06:28:26 AM
Speculations are only Speculations without theory.

I have a friend of mine at the conference this weekend and he has been speaking to a few people who think a $5000 + bitcoin could be possible.

Thoughts ?

Stop making these retarded unrealistic post about $5k or $1M BTC.
