It's a sad day indeed.
I followed this genius man along with Michiu Kaku since I was a kid. I always loved his vision of the world and all the theories he endorsed.
What made him special was the fact that even though he a had a severe physical disability he never ceased to do what he loved. This was and still is a great example to me and one that will share with my kids.
Unfortunately I still didn't have time to see the movie about him, once I get some time, I'll get the kids to watch it with me to realize that everyone can be what they want to be.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Let me take it just a bit further! There are so many people complaining about the new merit system that there should be a way that a user can opt (pay a small fee perhaps) in to using the old activity ranking system. This way everyone will be happy!! If you like the merit system opt in to it, if you prefer the old ranking system opt in to it, win-win!!! Oh I almost forgot to mention, opting in to the old ranking system comes with one little sacrifice. Anyone opting in to the old ranking system would have there signature privileges removed permanently, NO SIG FOR YOU. Now lets see all these whining shitposters and farmers opt in to the old system they loved sooooooo much... I think that the merit system is like various forms of public insurance. The way that the system works the best is if everyone follows the same system, so paying for an opt out system would likely not be a reasonable solution on any kind of overall practical basis - even if there may be limited ways to go with this kind of opt out in limited circumstances, perhaps? So being able to buy whitelist is ok for Brand New members? You can't have it both ways. The administrators of the forum can do whatever they want, even if it is contradictory. I am not advocating any change, and therefore, I have no burden to back up what I am saying. I am just pointing out a problem with the concept of opting out - or having a parallel system. if you are advocating some kind of opt out system then you have the burden to show with either logic or evidence that it is practical, and you need to convince theymos, not me. I've never had any qualms with anybody derailing my threads. In fact, I most the time welcome it. Blue Crappy Pants aka Bruce Peterson was a BFL shill prior to being employed at BFL all thanks to my efforts, I being invited to tour the plant and Bruce asked if he could tag along. I agreed and we shared a hotel room together the night before. We went to the plant and had lunch with Josh and David, BFL picking up the tab. Later that night there was a meetup where Goat and his wife attended. Back to the plant, I left after lunch to meetup with an ex-BFL employee (didn't pan out, for something came up on his end) and Bruce stayed behind for more of the dog-and-pony show. He was hired then. During his interim, he stole from BFL. Later, he, too, had his local police contact my local police to cease stalking him on this forum. Do you remember the following that cause Sonny to go totally ape shit at the office upon being made of aware of it? (I'll you three guesses as to who nibbknot IS, the first two don't count) I left most recently, and since I'm no longer under their control I can now share with anybody interested two important things.
One, bcp19, whose first name is Bruce, DOES work for BFL. Ask him and I'm sure he'll say yes, but if he doesn't, I have no problem with linking to pictures of him while employed at the plant. He's been there since last fall. I seriously don't know what game he's playing on this forum and what he's trying to accomplished, but I'm pretty sure it ain't good. To be fair, he is a nice guy.
Second. BFL received chips months ago that were intended for what you guys consider the Monarch. Thousands of miners have already made at BFL's plant using those new chips. Ask Bruce that also. He knows. Since you're now curious as to where all them miners went and are continuing to go, here... http://www.coinware.io/. Moreover, HashTrade, NimbusMining, LiquidBits, and Netsolus. The lead guy for CoinWare is named James (I'm not stating his last name because I don't want to get in trouble, but I'm sure you smart guys can figure it out). James visits the plant a lot, walking around assembling unescorted then heads to the offices of management to discuss whatever.

Heck, I might as well add this tidbit, even though it doesn't matter none except to Sonny's girlfriend. Sonny has been screwing one of the pretty Mexican girls in assembly since early last year. I'm not going to mention her name for obvious reasons, but everybody at the plant knows it except Sonny's girlfriend who have a son together. I don't see that relationship lasting too much longer due to them fighting a lot, where then Sonny may start seeing the Mexican girl full time then.

In the end the FTC swoops in to protect everyone. I will say, it's nice to see BFL out of business, it's nice to see the people (that's you my friend) made a difference (however small it was), it's nice to see we were right about BFL and there illegal business practices and how incredibly stupid and short sighted JZ and BFL's attitude to miners was, it's nice to see JZ get tossed to the curb like the garbage he is, its nice to see Sonny and his crew are not on this forum sucking off millions of dollars from would be stary eyed newb miners. It's a little less pleasant to think about the fact that Sonnny et al basically "got away" with it. While I guess one could argue something like justice was served with the FTC case, I always hoped for a bit more so for me they kinda "got away with it". It's not pleasant to think it should have been relatively easy with the amount of coins handled (from internal mining as well as sales) for these donkey dick licking scamming thieving cunts to hide some coins. These fucks could possibly be sitting on a nice chunk of change currently... It's also very unpleasant to think they could be here right now pulling the latest greatest anonymous ICO scam, I mean Sonny K would never do such a thing but Sonny V boy that's right up his fucking alley... Anyways thanks for the walk down memory lane. You did make a difference and there are still a few people left here that remember and appreciate it even if we don't say it! I have read a lot about the guidelines for posting, however it seems to me that the "quality" issue is rather subjective, than objective. It is still a matter of a personal opinion of those who give out merit, rather than the principal of "fair for all". I mean, I have seen TMAN refuse someone merit just for the way someone called him "Sir". It is not what merit is supposed to be about, in my opinion. I believe discrimination is a world-wide problem nowadays, it is sad to see it here as well. I do hope that something will be done to achieve the "fair for all" status in this forum.

It begins. Bitmain's starting to undercut the price and delivery time by nearly two months.
Will Halong be able to weather the price drops and remain competitive/profitable? I think we'll find out by fall with reliability reports of the units running more than half a year from now. If they carry forward with a competitive attitude, preferably as a leader and not a follower in pricing, they'll get more market share.
It might almost be funny to see what happens if Halong is able to piss in Bitmains Cornflakes!! My money would be on Bitmain in the case of a price war!!!! |
