I’d be honored to be bitch-slapped by that first pinky ring,

Now THIS raises a serious quandry... would you be willing to create a version with a mirrored BTC?

So that the mark left on the opposing party after such a bitch-slap would be a welt in a normal/legible facing BTC direction...

Oh and out of titanium perhaps?

I would be willing to do whatever you want!!!  As they say BTC talks and bullshit walks.  It would be an honour to have designed and sold the official BTC bitch slapping ring!  I might even name the piece that if it's all good with you 2!

Out of titanium, sure see above!

As a little update:

I had to do a few minor tweeks to the Bitcoin Bull & Bear design.  There were too many small parts that likely wouldn't survive the manufacturing process.
1:  Re-positioned the bulls horns to be "pinned/supported" by the ring body.
2:  Increased size of bull nose ring and "pinned" it to bulls head
3:  Removed the world map from under the  BTC logo.  Central America, Japan and a whole bunch of locations
were way to small when scaled down to ring size.  I would have had to make them bigger and it looked
weird when I started to fix it so I scraped it instead.
4:  Closed Bears mouth.  The teeth were to small, rather than removing them completely I closed the mouth
slightly and merged the teeth together for proper support.

I went ahead and got a quote for manufacturing both rings.  After reviewing the quote I went ahead and ordered 2 of each of the rings.  I ordered a premium polished sterling silver (.925) and 18k gold plated for each style.

Eta I was given is end of May for me to have them.  You can be sure when I get them I will post pics for review.  If they are good quality I will probably offer them for sale.  The manufacture has the ability for the artists to set up an e-store on their site, I may look into that and offer direct BTC sales here.

I am going to do some more designs, I have a bunch of ideas floating around my brain now!
I think one of the next designs might include HODL somewhere!!!
Also please throw out any other suggestions you might like to see incorporated in future designs, please!!!!!
1102  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interest Check, Request for comments! on: May 06, 2018, 12:25:59 AM
New design, for the more minimalist crowd!

I am going to get a quote to manufacture this design in a couple of materials.  If the cost seems reasonable I will get a couple made so I have something physical to show!

Also going to start work on additional designs while I wait for pricing and possibly manufacturing.

Oh and lastly of the 4 freaking pieces of CAD software I use not one of them had an actual silver material...  I ended up having to use a gloss plastic material with a silver paint on it.  The result is not what I would call a realistic representation but it's about as close as I can get!

1103  Other / Meta / Re: Reapplying as a merit source! on: May 05, 2018, 05:51:27 PM
From what I've seen you can't possibly "behave maturely", or coherently.

What does it all have to do with immunity, or your spat with a moderator? Actually fuck that, I don't wanna know.

LOL, I'd hardly call it a spat.  I have done exactly nothing this clown.  I have essentially ignored him except when he blatantly lies about me specifically.  All I've done is respond with facts to refute his lies about me.

I don't give him much thought lately TBH.  Then all of a sudden he gets red trust and some how it's my fault or some bullshit.

The dude has mental issues and needs medical help ASAP IMO.
1104  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need explanation if possible? on: May 05, 2018, 05:43:51 PM
~snip~

I honestly suggest you seek medical assistance for your mental illness man.  There are some decent medications that can help with your obsessive infatuation problems.
1105  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need explanation if possible? on: May 05, 2018, 01:52:31 PM
I'm still not sure what in the actual fuck I have to do with any of this LOL.

For the record I have no problem with Darkstar_.  I'm not even sure why anyone would think I do??

I was gonna spend a few minutes and reply but then I remembered that I would just be wasting my time as the OP is too stupid to understand basic logic.
1106  Other / Meta / Re: Why are my all posts in politics and society topic constantly deleted ? on: May 05, 2018, 01:56:48 AM
I delete quite a few posts daily.  It is not a personal thing I assure anyone of that.

If your posts are deleted in the P&S board it is because I felt they did not follow the rules of the forum.  I would estimate 99% of the posts I have deleted fall under the no/low value rule.  That's a really good place to start if you want to understand why a post was deleted there.

I don't care how many words or lines a post is.  Making it longer while still saying the same thing that has been repeated or arguing both sides of an argument is more annoying than 1 liner shit posts, ironically enough!

The tactic of using what aboutism is weak IMO.  but but but what about the other guy breaking the rules...

I can't necessarily catch all shit posts, I'm not a bot.  I actually read the majority of the threads in the sub, a post may appear to be a shit post but the poster may have actually mention something I hadn't heard in the thread yet.  So you and I may have different opinions on some posts.

I have only been moderating the sub for a couple weeks.  I am certainly not going back through every thread to look for old shit posts.  My time is much better spent keeping it clean going forward.

Theres probably stuff I'm forgetting but you get the point I hope by now.

Because they are garbage. I'm trying to report more whenever I'm online but if I really wanted I could easily report 100 posts in the politics section every day.

LOL imagine how many I delete before you even see them?!   Shocked
1107  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interest Check, Request for comments! on: May 04, 2018, 08:39:17 PM
Very neat to see another 3D printer/CAD enthusiast!  I've been running a 3D Printing/Design service for some time and have designed some custom items for users around here - ★ Digis 3D Printing / Design Service ★ -= Crypto, Logos, Figurines, Custom Parts.   Smiley

Although I'd love to hop onto the exotic material printing bandwagon, I haven't seen much progress or actually finished pieces (asides from CAD drawings) that match the level of detail and quality required to produce a part that competes with standard manufacturing practices.

Do you happen to have any photos or samples of finished pieces you've created in exotic materials (bronze, copper, 14/18k gold plated, sterling silver, 14/18k gold, platinum)?

Awesome stuff man, the first printer I ever owned back in 2012 or maybe 13 was a wood framed makerbot, I wish I still had it LOL!  I spent hours tinkering with the old girl, but I don't have pics from then.

I then moved on to working on a full colour powderbed 3D printer (projet 660) I was involved with some friends who started a 3D selfie business on the side.  This is where I learned the bulk of my CAD skills as I did all the digital post processing of the raw scans to get them print ready!  Printing in 1 or 2 colours is awesome but printing in 6 million colours (full CMYK) and adding texture maps to the models takes it to a whole new level and I learned an unbelievable amount during the companies short life span.

Here is a press release from a national news spot on the company from back in 2014.
https://globalnews.ca/video/1327703/new-company-offering-3d-selfies

My current work with 3D printing is with a client who has the 2 largest DMLS (powderbed laser metal 3D printing, true additive manufacturing) machines in Canada.  They are a tool and die company that is a T1 automotive supplier.  They print exclusively in maraging steel (MS1) and according to my client they are revolutionizing the large high pressure die cast world by adding in conformal cooling to die cavities.  These conformal cooling lines are impossible with traditional manufacturing process.  I am not allowed as you can imagine to share any of that proprietary work here.

I have not printed in any of the precious material before and I wouldn't be the one doing it.  I would upload my designs to Shapeways and have them do it.  This way I have a lot more confidence that the quality of the metal is what it is supposed to be.

I guess at this point I should mention the process a company like Shapeways uses for "3D printing" various metal materials.

3D printed precious metals usually use what is called a loss wax cast method, which allows for high precision jewelry. I guess it may be a bit misleading as the end product is not printed but it is cast.  Basically a high resolution 3D printer creates the model in wax.  Then liquid plaster is poured around the wax model.  Once the plaster sets the wax is melted out in an oven and you are left with a nice one time use mould.  Base metal is poured into the mould and then broken away to leave the cast of the original model!  It can then be plated or polished or any other post processing technique desired.

I haven't got any example of my own work done like this because I haven't done any yet.  I am going to though because it's just to cool not to LOL! I will update the thread with the first piece I do, show the design and when I get the finished product back will do a review and post some pictures.  I think even if I don't sell any enough folks will be interested to see it!

Check out Shapeways to see tons examples of jewelry created this way, the detail and finish appears to be high quality.  But as you know yourself there are limitations on minimum sizes so stuff doesn't break during post, shipping, use etc etc!

Now back to some of the actual questions LOL

I would do it in any material the manufacture is offering.  I don't have a stainless option currently.  They do have a .925 sterling silver option but not a .999 option.

For the other design questions I will do up a few more designs and see what people think.  Originally I had thought of a display piece but if people want something to wear I can handle that!

I'll update with more design pics when I have them.
1108  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interest Check, Request for comments! on: May 04, 2018, 06:43:10 AM
Looks nice albeit a little too much for my taste. You could also try modelling the ring (which seems simpler) that Charlie Shrem has on his profile picture: https://twitter.com/CharlieShrem. +1 for silver and gold.

I was definitely thinking about it potentially being a little "gawdy" lol.  I did sorta have a "super bowl" style ring as my inspiration and may have gotten a little carried away with the size of the heads on the side!

Charlies rings would be relatively easy to model.  Being that this is a hobby to me I'm not sure about infringing on someone else's work.  I understand the BTC logo is free use but I assume I couldn't outright copy his ring?

Perhaps a cat nuzzled up to a BTC would be more your style eh?  Smiley

I can do more than one design and I'd like to so I'll see what else folks have to say and go from there.

Thanks,
FH

1110  Economy / Collectibles / Interest Check, Request for comments! on: May 04, 2018, 06:04:04 AM
Hello Collectibles section!

I'll try to keep it as brief as possible and then if there are any questions/interest I will elaborate as much as I can.

On top of being a former BTC miner, a current alt coin miner and general BTC enthusiast I am also a big 3D printing enthusiast.  I have had the pleasure of personally working with plastic, full colour "sandstone" and metal 3D printers.  As a hobby I enjoy designing new and different things.  I recently decided to design a ring for myself not with the intention of wearing it but to display it in my office.

Ok so now we get to why I'm here!  I thought I would see if there was interest in the collectibles crowd for something like this (similar not exactly this one as this design is for personal use).  I thought I would do up a little different design and have 5 or 10 made up as a limited edition.  One of the cool things (I think) about 3D printing for manufacturing collectibles is that it would be quite easy to number them and also "print" into each "part" (ring) an authenticating mark.

There are quite a few material options, bronze, copper, 14/18k gold plated, sterling silver, 14/18k gold, platinum, and a couple more.

Since I have no trust if there is enough interest from trusted members I would a do first edition of gold plated or sterling silver or something.  It could end up being a couple months or more from the time we decided to move forward and I would be fine with escrow.  Escrow would not need to happen until the rings are ready to ship to to you so the coins would only be locked during shipping to you for obvious reasons!

I can not even speculate on price at this point but I hope I can get a quote pretty easy if this goes anywhere.

Provided I don't get laughed out of here or ignored I will be happy to answer any questions about the process, prototyping, who will be manufacturing (it's a large American company, not me LOL), materials, design, display etc.

I'm open to your suggestions as well.

I hope this explains things and I really hope you enjoy it!

How very oddly refreshing, a polite racist.

This is big news, it was thought for many years that the polite racist had gone extinct and that only its more vocal and radical cousin the screaming lunatic racist was left in existence.  In a new post today on Bitcointalk we have undeniable proof that the extremely rare (but just as stupid!) polite racist in fact still exists!

Well, I would argue that Theymos is free to stop DT members from tagging anyone, at any time, but he hasn't yet.  I've read a lot of his posts, and he is indeed a very smart individual.

Are you seriously suggesting DT members issue warnings about...spamming, I think is what you're suggesting?  I don't routinely tag shitposters or even spammers, though I've done so in the past.  I recently tagged a series of accounts that was particularly bad, but in general I don't.  But do you think any DT member is going to want to issue a warning and then have to follow up to see that no spamming is occurring?   Nobody has that much time in a day, I'm afraid, nor do I think warnings would be effective.  These bounty shitposters are weasels as far as I'm concerned, and they'll do anything to continue their transgressions against the forum.

The only thing you'll get is a lot of incoherent pleading, denial, and rationalizing, much like a child will do when he's caught in his sister's panty drawer by mom.  And at this point the problem is so rampant that nothing short of a big, bright red mark on a trust page will have any effect.
Yeah but the question is why did you gave second chances to those people which you tagged from the past as a shitposters? i saw you have given a lot of neutral to the shitposters, and now you are saying that guy with has alts accounts did violate the forum terms,by spamming in threads with his alt accounts? i dont see any point, shitposters are good to you but those spamming alts should be tagged? as we all know there no restrictions with the alt accounts (means spams doesnt have restrictions too) because if there is theymos can easily get rid of the spam by removing the signatures which is the main source of these spams.

Everybody deserves a second chance, why would we give these people second chances especially those were tagged that didnt scam people,or cheat in bounties. In my humble opinion it is better to give those shitposters red tags compare to those people who has alt accounts who are posting nonsense as you have neutralized shitposters in your trust summary.I am not defending anyone but the point is that you gave them redflags for having alt accounts/spams you are literally giving them good reason to create more accounts  Undecided

What a ridiculous statement.  Just because the rules allow people to have multiple accounts does not mean spamming is OK...

Spamming is against forum rules, having multiple accounts is not.  What about these statements is hard to understand or contradictory??
1113  Other / Meta / Re: Hero banned for spamming on: May 03, 2018, 02:53:36 PM
Depends what it was banned for. What account is it? Accounts aren't usually permabanned just for spamming unless it's for repeated offences or for spreading anything malicious. If you were copy and pasting then that's a different matter and won't be unbanned.

Account name: Leepsteer00
I was bumping my topic ever 24 hours and I was not removing old bumps
I did not know that I should had remove it when I post new bump
If it possible to get it back I will never bump again
Thanx

If the hero account is banned and your posting outside of an appeal thread in meta then your are continuing to break forum rules (as was pointed out up thread).  I'm not sure why anyone would believe you won't bump again or break other forum rules.
1114  Other / Meta / Re: Paying people to post on Bitcointalk on: May 03, 2018, 01:52:16 AM

In actual sense, I don't think people really do bounties so as to be able to meet up with their family needs. Most do bounties for various reasons and it shouldn't all be centered around family care solely.

I'm not sure if you're actually serious, just not paying attention around here or have a confirmation bias based on your situation.

There are lots of threads and posts where people talk about making more in a week from bounties than a month at their job.  I honestly don't have a problem with that part of it but when they come here and turn the forum into a cesspool of useless redundant copy and pasted shit posts and do it with an army of alts, ya I and a lot of other users get a little pissed off.  Some of us have been around for years and truly believe in BTC and want it to become something greater for the whole world.  So ya it is kind of disgusting and ignorant and insulting when people treat this forum (which some of us really care about) like a whore and it is their right to abuse it.

There are some amazing people in this community and the community will open her arms and take you in if you just show just a little more than zero fucks given...
1115  Other / Meta / Re: whether the banned account can be recovered? on: May 02, 2018, 12:01:07 PM
I have a friend who has a bitcointalk account, yesterday his account was banned by admin,

he asked me, "Why is my account Banned?"

I replied, maybe you are violating the rules of the forum, such as copy and paste other people's writing without writing the source. try to recall if you ever did that ..

after a while he replied, he never copy paste articles belonging to other people and he also felt never violated the rules.

How do you think about this ??

Oh yes, at the top of his account there are Posts:

"Sorry usahaali03, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this Forum.

You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: banappeals-w6pquw45@theymos.e4ward.com "

if it can be recovered, how?

Your "friend" is a plagiarist.  You already have the information required to appeal the ban.
Hint:  Read the entire thread.

Lightning is kinda on hold right now.

Hello Darkstar_

I understand the campaign is currently full but I would like to ask if you would consider me for a spot if one opens up in the near future.

You'd definitely be considered (and likely accepted) if I had an open slot, however I don't consider you trusted enough for the exemption. Please apply once a slot opens if you're interested in the future.

Right on, thanx mate, I'll check in from time to time!

1118  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: May 01, 2018, 08:33:24 PM
I appreciate your dicision. Merit system will help us to keep clean our forum and make high quality post. But one thing I feel that those already have smerit they will not not much interest to give other. Even some one make quality post. Because he already have merit even they no spend it they have no problem. Also he will not get any benefit if he spend. So my opinion that, for motivation people to spend merit they should have award for send merit. Example some one spend 5 merit in a week, if he get bonus 1 merit from forum automatically, then every one will motivate for give merit on quality post. Other wise it will very hard to upgrade rank for new member's. Sorry if I am wrong. I just share my opinion. Thanks.

I have seen this so many times and it is such bullshit.  You presume higher rank members "will not much interest" or will "not get any benefit if he spend merit" and I can tell you that A LOT of high rank members are interested and do get great benefit from awarding merits to new users.

Not everyone needs an immediate reward to do something.  Some users are actually here because they want the BTC community to grow and flourish.  With that goal in the back of their minds it is of tremendous value to the community to have GOOD new users on this site and as such they are very interested in awarding merit to GOOD posts and users.

I'm not a source, I have some merit left but I am constantly at a loss to find something that hasn't been re-hashed a million times or something that isn't spammy or post count padding...  You're not getting my merit unless I feel you want to be part of this community.

Lastly merit is awarded to users to use at their discretion. Something that seems new or helpful to you may have been discussed to death over the years.  I won't award it merit and it's not a stretch to think other higher level members feel similar.

Not admin, mod picking

Since your MO is to spread completely false, baseless accusations fueled entirely by your own confirmation bias I feel I should respond so that a normal user can have both sides of the story and make up there own mind.

Quote
result locking a thread stating there is another one similar to that but never providing a link to the same topic
Do your own search, I'm not required to spoon feed you.

Quote
this one is providing a link but there are no similarities between the two topics.
Several topics that were about that general topic had been opened in a few days.  In actual fact iirc I think I locked or deleted another thread (or 2) with a similar theme.  Keeping the discussion on a similar topic in a single thread is done to keep the redundant spam mega threads to a minimum.  Of course you are so close to the topic that your confirmation bias couldn't possibly allow you to think there was another possibility other than my desire to censor.

Quote
how about this one? isn't this a discrimination? your own topic is still open which ironically is about Godless cunts and their opinions.
There must be 15 threads (I did not actually count) about god, athiesm, religion, spirituality and every other synonym for those words already in the sub.  There are new ones created all the time.  The thread in question was already 42 pages long and had long before became a spam mega thread with the last several pages of "one line shitposts".  The other threads still open had some actual discussion between opposing view points so it was left open.  Matter of fact the thread you say are my own threads are not my threads I did not start it, so stop lying.

Again it's clear in the last case your confirmation bias won't allow you to see any possibility other than a godless cunt censoring a topic.

You are a butthurt troll with a confirmation bias a 100 miles long.  You make blanket statements that are provably false.  Readers should hear this opinion before making a decision on the validity of your claims.

Edit: Apologies for going off topic OP but I felt I needed to respond to this trolls accusations.
Edit 2: to fix quotes
