361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best Bitcoin Price Predictions on: April 08, 2021, 04:59:31 PM
it is so funny to see some of the names in the picture the starter posted considering that they were talking so negatively about bitcoin not so long ago. like the stuff JP morgan was saying about bitcoin and how it is going to die. now they are all predicting some high price and all at random numbers without any speculation since they seem to just want to be on the band wagon and nothing else.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 32 number and letter private key on: April 08, 2021, 04:31:09 PM
I have another one with 32 number and letter starting with 02e9

just concatenate the two parts together and enter it in bitaddress.org (download the source from github and run it offline). once with first part first and the other time second
917b<first 32 char part>02e9<second 32 char part>
02e9<second 32 char part>917b<first 32 char part>
363  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Check address balance from seed phrase on: April 08, 2021, 04:11:24 PM
There are many local metal shops selling mostly copper and aluminum (not sure about stainless steel) plates and roll stripes in all sizes for home building for roof, gates, doors or other type of construction.
For stainless steel you can try in supermarkets selling stuff for kitchen and dishes like dinner plates, and maybe you have it in your home already but you are just not aware of that.

i have seen metal shops selling metal plates of all alloys and stainless steels are very common so they are being sold among them. but also the producers usually have a website that you can visit and buy plates from them. i don't know if they would sell a tiny piece though, they usually sell large quantities or at least one sheet (which is big).
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto purpose on: April 07, 2021, 05:30:34 PM
As we know the btc are digital gold.
The btc is going to Fix tht problem the gold failed.

your opinion is wrong. bitcoin is a digital currency and it has nothing to do with gold. the problem it is trying to solve is also the problem with centralized currencies and the centralized payment processors just as the bitcoin paper says it is.
you should really educate yourself before starting dozens of low quality topics like this every week.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 652 Ukrainian officials declare holding a total of 46,351 BTC on: April 07, 2021, 05:18:51 PM
people in the government (no matter the country) know better than anyone else about the dire situation in the economy or the corruption that runs deep in the banking system. so it is not surprising to see many of them actually chose to have some of their net worth in bitcoin although i am a bit skeptical about the total amount that is reported here.

This is the negative impact of one of bitcoin being one of the money laundering tools because of corruption cases so that they are not seen by people, they can live as if they are simple but assets are stored in the form of bitcoin.
i don't think the laundry part has anything to do with bitcoin. they are just saying that some of these people who have some large sums of fiat out of nowhere are falsely claiming that it was bitcoin profit.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we expecting a bullish trend? on: April 07, 2021, 04:51:29 PM
we are in a bull market whether you are looking at the short term zoomed in chart or long term couple of months visible charts. the only reason why we aren't seeing a big breakout yet is that there is a lot of panic sell and day traders who keep cashing out as soon as price reaches $60k to get their short term profit out effectively preventing the rise from growing as it should.

the good news is that as soon as $60k resistance breaks there will be a huge FOMO and price will reach $70k in no time. before you know it we are discussing whether $100k is going to be reached in 2 weeks or 4.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: A basic question about how a Node finds a block on: April 07, 2021, 04:34:47 PM
i just want to add that if miners could add transactions after they found the correct hash then the block would not be considered immutable and in the future anyone could change the transactions in that block and bitcoin wouldn't have been safe that way.
the whole point of mining (proof of work) is that after the "expensive work" was performed the final result wouldn't be changeable.
368  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why is it necessary to mine the genesis block? on: April 07, 2021, 04:25:03 PM
the real answer is that you don't have to do anything, bitcoin's genesis block is defined this way that Satoshi decided to also mine that block too so that block zero also has a valid proof of work. otherwise if you are changing stuff you can also change this little detail so that the software uses an arbitrary block 0 with no proof of work.
there is also no reason to validate block 0 proof of work.
369  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin hashrate reached a new record on: April 06, 2021, 02:00:50 PM
some experts like Max Keiser (broadcaster) believe that price tends to follow hash rate.

this is a narrative that some "newbie speculators" have been trying to push possibly out of desperation to find any reason to predict bitcoin price.

take yourself for example. if you have money and believe that bitcoin has potential to rise then you would buy bitcoin. however you will never look at hashrate to see what it is to decide whether you should buy or not, doin otherwise makes no sense.
take a miner now. the miner looks at bitcoin price and the profit he is making and decides whether to buy more ASICs to mine bitcoin hence increasing the hashrate or shut down his ASICs due to lower bitcoin price hence decreasing the hashrate.

so it should be obvious that hashrate follows price not the other way around.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin are good and not USDT what else? on: April 06, 2021, 01:38:31 PM
But it is true, Bitcoin has a significant fluctuating price which makes Bitcoin very risky.
having a volatile price makes bitcoin a risky short term investment not a risky currency which bitcoin is. so you can't call bitcoin risky here.

But even so, for long-term investments, bitcoin benefits more.
bitcoin is not about profit though specially if it is being compared with the banking system. it is about being decentralized and lacking any corruptible authority in control of your money.
371  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multisig VS Shamir Secret Sharing on: April 06, 2021, 01:26:38 PM
but what's the point of using Shamir secret sharing instead of for example encrypting your seed? you have 2 "shares" one is the encrypted seed and the other one is the encryption key which you keep separately.
this way you are not concerend about the implementation and risks of it and you are also not concerend about the method not being safe because the encryption algorithm is strong and easier to implement (or already is implemented in all crypto libraries).
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here is why April may be the best month yet for Bitcoin price on: April 04, 2021, 04:40:09 PM
you are not wrong but what i am mostly looking forward to is the $60k target to be properly broken and the large scale FOMO starts and we see a new much higher ATH be set just like what we had back in early 2017.

what has been happening to USD is more like a long term effect on bitcoin that will slowly show itself both in the economy and then is reflected on bitcoin price also.
373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where and how to store your Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency? Safe and Secure Options on: April 04, 2021, 04:27:37 PM
you are using the word "hot wallet" wrong. the exchanges are NOT hot wallets they are custodial accounts that have 100% control over the users money and user has absolutely no power.

a hot wallet on the other hand is a wallet that user has 100% control but instead of being kept offline it is connected to the internet. for example an electrum wallet on your PC that you use to connect to internet is a hot wallet.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NFT's on Bitcoin, why is no one doing this on: April 04, 2021, 03:55:31 PM
This is why stuff like NFTs and meme-coins is getting traction on Ethereum and not in Bitcoin.

i think the reason is actually because it costs nearly nothing to create these tokens on ETH whereas creating an actual cryptocurrency requires more effort and some money.
for example take the popular memcoin known as Doge. the dev had to copy bitcoin (or rather litecoin) and make changes to the protocol, test it and spend a lot of time making sure those changes didn't break anything. then release and have to mine it themselves to keep the coin alive for some time before others get onboard.
in comparison a token creator just writes a much shorter script on top of ethereum and doesn't spend any time testing or spending any money running any miner or anything like that. they jut release that tiny code and have a tokne!
375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the any direct faucet pay to my wallet Instantly on: April 04, 2021, 03:39:37 PM
you shouldn't even want such a thing, not just because it is a waste of you precious time but mainly because of the massive fee that you have to pay when you try spending all tiny amounts of bitcoin you received.

you see when you create a bitcoin transaction the fee you pay depends on the size of that transaction not its value, and the size is affected by the number of inputs the transaction has. these "inputs" are those payments you receive from any micro paying job.

you suddely realize that to spend 0.00010000BTC you have to pay 0.00050000BTC
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Halving in 2024 & Price prediction? on: April 04, 2021, 03:05:25 PM
it is impossible to predict the price at next halving when we have not yet begun this rally with its bubble. first this cycle has to be concluded so that we can see whether the "cycles" are going to be broken or not and if they are then the next target is going to be wildly different and if they are not then again the next target depends a lot on the ATH price that this cycles ends with.

if we assume the same cycle continues and price reaches $500k then the bubble burst has to be 80% too and it has to drop down to $100k and by the time halving is reached it has to be up to $300k.

so the answer by extrapolating data is $300k
377  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Calculate Password with Private Key and BIP38 Key? on: April 04, 2021, 02:44:29 PM
it won't matter if we have both the private key and the BIP38 encrypted key we still can't reverse AES256 to get the password and there is no other relationship between the private key (or the derived key used in AES for encryption) and the encrypted result for us to use to figure out the password.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: WoW! 3/13/20 BTC Lowest Price: $4,916.78! Now! 3/13/21 $61,450.30! Ack! on: April 02, 2021, 05:19:56 PM
If this was 2020, I would hesitate to predict more than $30k,

that means you still have to see a couple of similar cycles to finally stop hesitating to see that the intrinsic value of bitcoin is way higher than the prices that we see.
in 2016 people were also hesitant to predict $2000 when price was barely $500.
i'll see you in 2022 discussing whether price is going to $5 mil from the massive dump to $300k or not Cheesy
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was paper money rejected by religions as much as Bitcoin? on: April 02, 2021, 05:15:31 PM
there is always difference of opinion everywhere, there is no reason to single out the religions. i don't know what this university is but last time i checked years ago the Islamic leaders analyzed bitcoin and concluded that it is "halal" to receive it as payment for any "halal" work or use it to pay someone else for the work they had done for you. but it is not if bitcoin is used for gambling or anything illegal. pretty much the stance that everyone else has too.
380  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 02, 2021, 04:20:36 PM
I see, then having FUN tokens for premium membership was just the ticket to get some tickets from WOF, just missing the recent free spins from there and luckily I manage to get 5000 tickets for free.

tickets for what? because there are a bunch of different types there. 5000 sounds more like lottery tickets because the Lambo game tickets are extremely rare and it doesn't give that many away even if you win it.

in any case the biggest thing that got me intrigued about the token was the increased daily profit. but unfortunately you have to make a big investment (about $500) to increase the daily profit so i'm not so sure if it is worth it.
