41  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 5K$ soon on: January 20, 2020, 06:39:09 AM
I think this speculation can not hold any tangible fact based on the upcoming halving and the movement of BTC now, I can see everything is turning bullish for BTC and we might likely touch the $10,200 range after this minor correction

The post was on January 2 when the Bitcoin price was around $6,900 and was strugglin to reach the $7,500 level. So, the OP's prediction might have certainly happened but it goes the other way around as we can see the price continued to progress touching $9,000 level, though the price back up a little bit today.

Well apparently it didn't reach that level and as you've said, we've sailed way past that point now. What everyone's looking at right is the coming halving this march. Funny since the price movement could go both ways after that. This talk of 5k may again resurface if after the halving the price dips instead of moving up.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in January 2020 will touch 10k, What do you think? on: January 20, 2020, 02:41:21 AM
Well, I hate this kind of threads, it is just  a useless content to be honest , I have seen this type of questions  too many times  Like,  Will bitcoin up to 10K , would you like to buy Bitcoin in this period, why bitcoin us dumping and so on.
Sadly, I barely see a creativity in questions in most of sections especially  Bitcoin discussion and Economics. Regrettably, there is a widespread lack of knowledge in many members specifically the newbies.

Well these threads keep coming up because people like you and me keep on answering lol. Though i think it can really be helpful for beginners seeing a variety of opinions regarding topics like these. Those of us who have experience can share what we know a few times over if we have the for it. I think it's repetitive yes, but there are tidbits that newbies can pick up every now and then when a thread like this comes up.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you record and preserve Bitcoin history? on: January 19, 2020, 08:41:18 AM
Well i find it too tiring just to think about it so no. I've already used and spent past btcs and i think it wouldn't have any effect on how i handle my assets in the future. Aside from the fact that i'm mostly going to see how much my assets dropped dye to bungling decisions. No, i'd rather live for today and tomorrow 😁
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought this stuff with Bitcoin, great way for people to become aware of Bitcoin on: January 19, 2020, 07:01:31 AM
Most people are already aware of bitcoin. The problem is their trust and understanding. I don't think a lot of people would change their mind just by you showing what you bought through it. I think major companies and governments should acknowledge it to build people's confidence. It's going to take a little more time before the majority accepts bitcoin's positive nature more than it's minuses.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is There a Way for Craig to Prove that He is Not Faketoshi ? on: January 18, 2020, 12:49:59 PM
signing message through the address that contains millions of bitcoin. Logging in using satoshi account in this forum and many more and he can do none of them. He's just faketoshi and people should just ignore him. Although it's true that he's making a noise for bitcoin but rather a negative noise and it won't help the development of bitcoin market at all.
and that is the only thing that the whole crypto market is asking for him Sign a message for those addresses he presented lately in court for all of this to stop and prove he is the real Satoshi nakamoto but the sad thing?he cannot do because he is a Fake and will not be Satoshi forever.

If he's able to do any of that, he should've done so the first time head made the claim. Now even if he does, people still wouldn't believe him. Anyone who claims to be satoshi wouldn't have enough evidence to prove they are, it's as simple as that. These are only claims that can't be validated. Too many novelties in crypto to take any of them seriously.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $400,000 After Halving, History Dictates on: January 18, 2020, 11:37:59 AM
That's a lot to be hopeful about for just a single event. And i don't think we can base our judgement  from what happened during the previous halving. Things don't work that way anymore in crypto. There could be run before or after though i doubt it could even create a new ath. Or like what happened during the last quarter of 2018 where everyone was expecting a pump, the exact opposite happened.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery In Your Place on: January 18, 2020, 10:31:37 AM
Here in Philippines we have lotto and its called jueteng and theres an easy two also. That is the lottery in our country but i think the jueteng is not legal its a illegal gambling but many people are getting addicted into it because they said its easy to win here in jueteng than lotto. Many places here in Philippines that they stop it but people doesn't stop they continue do it even they know that its illegal.

It is all the same. Lotto, that is what its called.

Easy two is one of the games, there are a lot of other too like the three digits and so on. This lottery by the PCSO is the most common and popular lottery in our country. Every one knows what it is and there are a lot of stations in every area of our country.

Well whatever it's called and whatever the variation is, i think it's all the same. The odds of you not winning anything with your bet is considerably higher than you even getting your money back. You have a whole lot bigger chance of winning if you play dice than any lottery games.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 18, 2020, 08:51:58 AM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?
this is normal in every people not only regular gambler but also those who have ideas about gambling, some tries to use their assets to Bet in gambling while others are using their percentage from Wages just to find Luck.

in my place most of them are relying in Lottery even they already knew how hard to win in this yet they are continuing because of Dreams to become rich one day even using small amount daily to buy tickets.

We as a gambler we want to have a lot of income or profit in just a single game. Most of the time, people who want to play or include in the gambling world see the potential of winning and takes a lot of profit. To earn a profit, we must consider first to have a good knowledge and skills in playing gambling to win, and one of the reasons why do we want to play because of our dreams to get rich and get a lot of money that we can buy all of our needs and wishes.  Yes, it is hard to win, but still, we can do it if we want just to catch up on our dreams.

Lol. That's funny. If you're a gambler and you expect to have an income with your gambling ways, then you're likely to be disappointed most of the time. Knowledge and experience mostly teaches you how to properly manage your capital. It won't get you winnings and a secure income. A dream of achieving your financial goal is basically just it, a dream. Well for some people lucky enough to win lotteries it's a dream come true but for the bigger majority of us, it's very unlikely.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 18, 2020, 07:14:33 AM
Honestly, this would've been a better fight than the connor-floyd circus. Both fighters are known strikers and unlike mayweather, both wouldn't want to disappoint their fans. Though there should be a middle ground as if the event would be boxing, pacquiao of course have the advantage over boxing skill and experience. Probably same results as the mayweather fight, though a lot more exciting for sure.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: January 17, 2020, 11:56:54 AM
To me, betting on live sports events is entertainment. I think all of them are the best of all. I don't think it's even hard for you if you're a sports fan. Learning is easy and you're simply putting your money on the team or player you're supporting. Another thing is that there are many areas where the information is available to that team so you can evaluate games that make the chance to win strong.

But we all know there those games that doesn't go our way.

Another thing is that I don't usually place my bets on analyzing the teams, I usually bet based on who I want to win that is why I usually lose. That is why I also prefer dice games and some of the cards too.
If you play like without analyzing the match and only depend on the team that you think will win, of course you will be hard to win. If you don't know, at least you choose a team that has lower odds than the opponent. But the type of gambler like you is suitable for playing Dice.

Well most of the time you're just going to bet between two players or two teams when you bet on sporting events. So even if you're not into the certain sport that you're betting on, chances are still 50/50 which is still good. Bet on an sport that you know a lot about and you're chances of winning would be a lot better than your bet losing due to upsets.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 17, 2020, 10:51:34 AM
This will be the rise of Connor after the downfall, Sure it's a mismatch, but it's a stepping stone to fight someone bigger. This would be an easy win to Connor. I hope he can go back after the sideways win and lose in the previous year.

Conor helped build to where the UFC is today because he helped take it to the next level with his talent as showman and a troll. There was no one else before him in this level. He is the cause of why this sport has many casual fans hehehehehe.
Conor McGregor put more eyes into the sport because of his trash talking skills and his cross over to boxing brought yet another fan base and he is a showman but after that his graph went down because of his troubles outside the fight arena and Donald Cerrone is the perfect return fight and i hope he will not take on Khabib once again as he has other great fights for the fans to see and with a new champion in 145 pound division i hope he will once again challenge the champion in that division rather than challenging anyone in higher weight divisions.

On his days when he was training diligently he was also one of MMA's best fighters. Remember the unbeatable Jose Aldo during his time? Conor knocked him out in a few seconds.

I watch this fight, and surely this is one of the best highlights of his career, I'm Connor fan, so I hope he can come back to this fight. I am hoping for Khabib and Connor rematch, and I hope he can win it, every Connor lose is mostly on the grounds hope he can manage it now.

Curious to see whether we'll see the same two division champ here. Layoff's been quite long for the notorious and we all know it takes it's toll on an mma fighter if he doesn't get a competitive fight for a long time. I'd probably bet on cowboy this time. Though one thing's for sure, connor's going to make a circus out of this and the fans will be crazy to watch.
52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW3 - Are we all gonna die? on: January 17, 2020, 08:55:20 AM
Maybe Iran will not start the WW3, but if USA keeps pushing them they will not have other options than to attack. If Rusia or China decide to protect Iran then it could be the start of WW3. The odd of this scenario are really low, but is possible.

Anyway, if it happens a lot of people will die, but it will not be the end of the world.
The chances of having WW3 is very low now as of the moment. It seems that the tension between the United States and Iran have been dropped which is a good thing. And the probable cause of that shrinking tension is the fall of an airplane of Ukraine because of Iran's failure in judgment.

I think there's this quiet tension among the concerned countries especially because iran admitted shooting down a passenger plane. Justin trudeau already said they won't take this sitting down unless justice is served as there are several canadians onboard, as well as ukranians. The us hasn't really said much about that at this point but on small spark could escalate things real quick.
53  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cryptocurrency and Society on: January 17, 2020, 07:47:06 AM
Well it is indeed too strong and it focuses on just one aspect of crypto. It's much more diverse than just to displace fiat and put money in people's control. The scope of crypto and block chain's use can very well be extended to more than the financial system. The people who created bitcoin probably didn't even have that point of view in mind when they started bitcoin.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Was it cruel to girls to pretend they should behave equal to men?? on: January 17, 2020, 07:09:01 AM
Well in some countries that could work, especially in muslim countries. Though as times progress, i doubt you'll be able to put women to how they were before. With all the women empowerment and fair rights advocates, and with times changing as well to accommodate them in their new roles, keeping them inside the house is likely not going to happen. And why should it? Some women make more money than their husbands to run the household. Some have more successful careers. Times have changes and we should also be able to adapt.
55  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is planting trees actually good for the planet? on: January 16, 2020, 02:19:57 PM
Well the simple answer to what the op asked is obviously yes. Though i doubt that what's indicated in the article will actually happen. We're expanding our structural and industrial growth, hence we won't have that much space to plant trees on to have that effect that the article mentioned. For me, just plant when and where you can.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: handling bitcoin volatility on: January 16, 2020, 01:01:22 PM
You can't protect yourself to this kind of scenario since the crpytocurrency market is a decentralized platform, however there's a thing that you can do in order to avoid wrecking your asset. It's to study how the market works, well there's no 100% that it's guaranteed however it might help lessen the lose in your account and also it might help you to analyze if the market will go bullish again this is one of the thing you can do in order to avoid the loss on the volatility of this crpytocurrency.

Well even a thorough analyzation of the market could end up in a disaster if you don't manage your funds well. Meaning, you still have to determine how much you're willing to put in. It should be an amount that you can afford to lose, of course. Something that won't have a significant effect in case worse comes to worst. I guess that's the trick for me. Be on the safe side.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When trading, never ignore the statoshi value of your coins on: January 16, 2020, 12:10:33 PM
Few days ago I decided to utilize some fraction of bitcoin just sitting in my trading wallet to try profiting from the market. Although I may profit when the profits was calculated in dollars but unknowingly I lost massively in Satoshi value. That means assuming I just kept hold of my coins I would had made almost the same value I made with the coins i bought. Many traders haven't realized this yet but just get carried away with the US value of their trades without realizing they lost some satosh in the process.  When training, what are you mostly concerned about, to gain more profit in bitcoin or gain more in usd dollar without minding if you lost some Satoshi value?.

If you're pairing with btc and trying to accumulate, of course counting your assets in satoshi is logical, though many people fail to see that as they're more focused on btc to usd conversion. I used to look at it that way but I guess if you're trying to go for the long term, you really wouldn't mind that much the dollar or the fiat equivalent of your asset.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: January 16, 2020, 08:30:55 AM
The title had been refuted by the discussion in this thread.  See the scenario..

Someone or some shop accepted Bitcoin as payment, of course, the one who bought the item spend Bitcoin.. this means someone had bought something in Bitcoin and someone already sells something in Bitcoin.

Then the owner of the shop sells Bitcoin by converting Bitcoin to USD... do we have to argue about this stuff?   The term " No one " is already proven wrong.

Exactly. It's an absolute term. Someone even "bought" Pizza with 10k btc. And from that point up to now, several transactions have been in bitcoin. P2p transactions often don't get converted to fiat if that's what op would like to point out. There are people selling items and services for bitcoin itself.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could see a major rally in 2020 – here’s why on: January 16, 2020, 07:08:41 AM
Thanks for copy-pasting articles from somewhere else, instead of going your own analysis.
Everybody is expecting the Bitcoin Halving to boost the bitcoin price, but they are partially wrong.
The Halving itself won't boost the BTC price, the hype around the halving will be the main force of boosting the value of Bitcoin.

Lol. That's something that's very noticeable. Though it does shed some light as to what happens when the halving takes place as a lot of people here probably have no idea yet that bitcoin exists during the last time it happened. My take is 50/50 historically, we should have a good run close to this period. Though looking back at the past two years, i'd prefer to get my expectations right. It's recent history versus history 5 years ago.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a bullish sign as halving approaches? on: January 15, 2020, 10:37:56 AM
Yes, I totally agree with your prediction, at the end of January the price of Bitcoin can reach $ 9k - $ 10k if in following days later the price of Bitcoin continues to increase. The Bullish market will come soon and the price of Altcoin will also have a positive impact.
We have entered the Bullish market, I think, since the past few days positive trends have also occurred in some Altcoins. This shows the interest of the investors or the whale will soon enter. So prepare yourself by buying some Altcoin or Bitcoin for your long term investment. I have bought several Bitcoins, I'm optimistic that the Bullish market will continue until Halving ends.

Lol. Let's see. If what happened during the last halving repeats, then it's going to be a good first half for 2020. A lot of people are expecting that and buying btc in anticipation could indeed push the price up. Though let's see since recently, the market isn't really going along with history and tradition. I'm anticipating panic if whales decide to go against the flow during february and may.
