321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tax in your countries on: November 11, 2019, 03:46:50 AM
Not taxed yet here. I think as long as any government doesn't recognize bitcoin entirely, it would be difficult to tax it. Plus the fact that it'll be hard to monitor transactions that are anonymous. For that to work, there has to be a common ground and that can't be achieved unless crypto is generally accepted like a common commodity.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why its hard to attract investors on: November 10, 2019, 05:37:01 AM
Well that's true before they were everywhere but nowadays they are hard to come by, but even at that genuine projects doesn't find it hard getting investors. So I think investors are now wiser and smarter thus being conscious of how they invest which is why most projects nowadays finds it hard meeting softcap, even those who are already developed keeps dying off because they lack what it takes to operate.

Yeah nowadays crypto investors are not just like in 2017 who most of them trusting scam projects and ended loss. Right now crypto investors are more likely to join a great project with sure profits just like IEO on big exchanges like binance and kucoin. They are no more interested with ICO anymore because most of ICO are not really developing their product. So i think it's not hard to attract investors as long as the project has a good quality, investors will come by theirself and hunt  for the coins.

Well a lot of people have lost money since that time. And a whole lot of people have learned their lessons the hard way. Most of these investors moved away from crypto for good after selling at a huge loss. Projects that seemed promising then have now been exposed. People see crypto then as a way to get big easy money. Now we know that's not the case and many would be investors would rather invest in something that's based on a real product, something that a lot of projects lack.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins in Jan 2019 vs Nov 2019 on: November 10, 2019, 04:41:08 AM
$BTC = $3700 --> $9200
$ETH = $133 --> $185
$LTC = $31 --> $58
$XRP = .34c --> .29c
$BNB = $5 --> $20
$LINK = .30 --> $2.68
$EOS = $2.56 --> $3.31
$BSV = $89 --> $132
$BCH = $154 --> $294

MCap has 2x'd in USD & $XRP still ended up in the red.
what is your response to XRP?

January 2018 until may 19 is time to get opportunity to buy bitcoin for longbterm hold for sure people grab that opportunity have an huge earnings profits the currenct orice increase.
For xrp I think possible to get stake that coin if the ethereum get back strobgly increase their price value in coun market because I still believe altcoins stable if the queen is get is also stable.
But we have passed May already, it looks like we lost such an opportunity.

No, forget about XRP to make another peak again ( way back last 2017). Remember that XRP is a centralized coin, everything is controlled which we can't expect that this coin will move higher as it was before even ETH will move high back then. I'm not sure if this makes an alarming cause I know that people are more focus on Bitcoin and other decentralized coins.
Even though XRP is a centralized cryptocurrency, it still rely on the law of demand and supply. We have another chance right now to buy cheap altcoins and also bitcoin because the market is still under the bearish market and the best thing to do when the market is bearish is to buy good cryptocurrencies that are on sale or on a cheap price and hold them until the next bull run.

Dude what are you talking about? The market has gone up since the beginning of this year. Almost all coins are already on a recovery state. The market isn't bearish at all. Or haven't you been paying attention? Ripple would probably make its own recovery and being probably the only centralized coin of value. But in general, we're in a good stage right now. It's still good to accumulate coins at this stage if you're looking at a long term goal. But the best time for that would've been a few months ago.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in High School Syllabus on: November 10, 2019, 03:56:06 AM
I don't think it's time for that yet. Though it will be a big help if people will learn about crypto at an early age, since we're all going to deal with it and the likes of it anyway. Though I think it's too early for High School students to be exposed to such topics as even grown ups who can have direct interaction with crypto hasn't yet fully grasped what it is and what it's for.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 10, 2019, 12:49:11 AM
Hopefully Luka will remain healthy so we will continue to see his exciting plays every time, this kid has evolve from ROY to MVP, damn.
I really like this guy.

Many of the fans has been eyeing for him to the finals and I'm sure that he's working hard for it. With their match against Lakers, has anyone noticed how he's not letting Bron take the spotlight of the match?

Its not likely the Mavericks to be in the Finals now, what's more possible is Luka to win the MVP if he stay consistent.
The west is full of good teams, Clippers and the Lakers are the favorites to win in the west and to win in the NBA finals, of course either one of them.

Luka is still young, he still has more joyful moments in the NBA and once he matured more and keep winning, who knows he will be able to form a championship team along with Porzingis because these two are the young stars of the team now, man, Luka is too young but soon he will enjoy a max contract with the Mavericks.

Well it took Dirk a little while to win his first championship. As long as the kids got a good attitude, there's a big change he'll get that in the future. The mavs just have to make a good team around him and Porzingis with good role players. I see these young mavs will be serious title contenders in 2 to 4 years.
326  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Effect of amazon fire ? on: November 09, 2019, 01:02:46 PM
The answer to that question is simple and plain that if the amazon forest get burn then there will be natural catastrophic events all over the globe as these forest are considered the LUNGS of the world and if something happen to the lungs then all system in that case whole ecosystem will started to collapse and when they will reach the threshold then whole planet will go BOOM with different natural disasters.

Thats what will happen if amazon get burn. But thats a big IF so ....

It not suddenly take affect because we have a supply but of course when the time comes we can feel it by the huge number of oxygen given off by trees that's why the population take a lot of oxygen but we have a limited supply so it can cause from people to die, not immediately but their lives become shorter.

even if the whole amazon forest disappeared/burned down the oxygen supply is never the problem because the oxygen produces by amazon forest barely leaves
the forest because the oxygen is almost up by the species, organism, microbes etc.. that are living there(like I said at the first page of this thread). the main problem
we would have is that the trees in amazon forest absorb Co2 in the atmosphere and without the amazon forest the CO2 would remain in the atmosphere
and will contribute to a faster climate change.

How it would never be a problem if you said that it can cause a faster climate change? The food Web can be affected on this case and also you, you can affect also by this even you are not besides amazon forest, not now but soon I think.

The amazon sustains itself and the living things within it. Though the lack of urgency about the fire can make a learned man shake his head, it's hardly going to have a lasting effect on most of us that live away from it. Oxygen mostly comes from those small things in the ocean. I think the title lungs of the earth is romanticized a little too much. Though that doesn't mean it's not as important. A lot of animal lives were lost and that's what breaks my heart more.
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next? on: November 09, 2019, 06:16:14 AM
I made a similar post last week shoeing concern about one more dump before the halving but after few expert's advise and review from tenured users I think the market will not go as predicted and we might not see any dump before halving as the whales cannot risk applying same pattern when the market is already aware of the forecast and might react differently if dump occurs. I feel there will not be any dump before halving but what's your opinion.?
Even if they do get aware about of the said speculation, there's no freaking way we could have known what they are planning next this coming 2020. It's just like you are trying to bluff the decisions of a whale by giving them a hint of statistics of what you might be planning to. Nonetheless, only them can make it happen but of course, every decision they make there's always an equivalent of quality reaction for every action.

It seems that more than anything, it's still the whales that would determine a bull run or not. A lot of expectations for 2020 since the past halving did seem to have started a bull run of some sort a few months after. Not sure though if the results would be the same for next year's but it's likely that history will repeat itself in a way. With the number of people looking forward to it and would be willing to put money in Crypto in anticipation.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Withdraw your funds from the top 10 Exchange now !!! on: November 09, 2019, 04:38:12 AM
First activity for a newbie account. Statement made without any links or basis. Sure sounds legitimate lol. I bet the guy can't even name all the exchanges in that top 10 list. I'm not considering this an FUD since it's more like a random expression of one person's perspective or just simple trolling. Much like speculations of anyone here regarding market movements and coin prices.
329  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jack Ma career advice: You don’t have to be smart to be successful on: November 09, 2019, 03:56:18 AM
Jack Ma, founder of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba discusses globalisation and trade, and shares tips on business at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

See Video and Learn How to Handle your business
https://tupify.net/v/BROKHY

I didn't open your link. As for Ma, I remember he's already been pushed out of Alibaba forced to sell his shares to "anonymous" people. One was already predicting he'll go the way of another Chinesw businessman who "fell off" a wall in Provence.

But yes, you don't have to be extremely smart, just smart enough for a business idea ans smart enough to hire people smarter than you.

Nonetheless. He was able to build such a big company the same way bill gates and mark Zuckerberg did. You have to respect the guy. And he's making a whole lot of sense with what he said here. There are a lot of smart people that's working under these guys. You have to have a vision and you have to believe in that vision. These guys started out quite low and crawled their way to their current status though dedication and hard work. And believing that your targets are achievable.
330  Other / Off-topic / Re: Love - its just a physical attraction? on: November 09, 2019, 02:56:50 AM
It's something that we develop over time I guess. When people spend a lot of time with you and you end up caring for them, I guess that's what love is. That's why I don't believe in love at first sight. Family, friends, spouse, these are people who you spend time with throughout your life. Love is something that is developed. For example, there are some cultures when two people are married by their parents at a young age, without them even knowing each other. Most of the time, because they're always together, they end up caring and falling in love. At tleast that's how I see it.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How BIG will the crypto market be if China legit cryptos? on: November 08, 2019, 12:33:26 PM
Legalization of crypocurrencies in China doesn't automatically mean that everyone suddenly puts their money into cryptocurrencies, so don't get your hopes up. With that said, if they really wanted cryptocurrencies, they would already grab some through exchanges like btcc.com; because though cryptocurrencies aren't declared legal in China(as far as I know), they aren't illegal either.

The chinese government did ban a couple of crypto features back then like mining and some exchanges. Though i think they're softening up a little now and it would be really good news if china entirely opens up to crypto. I think there would be a considerable flow of chinese yuan in the market that could spike the prices of btc and major coins up. Though it's not likely going to start up a run that many are hoping for.
332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 07, 2019, 10:28:56 PM
Should I continue holding my ethereum? Am a believer of long time holding but am currently beginning to lose faith due to fact that I have been experiencing constant decline in my major coins that I have been holding since late 2017. The coin in question is ethereum which I have been holding since when its value was around $1,300 and now its value is now less than $200 per one.
Should I continue holding my ethereum?

Ethereum has gone sub 100 dollars already in the past 2 years, and it's been up from that. I think you shouldn't lose faith since you've already kept it for that long already. Since it seems you're prepared to go long term, then for me, sticking to what you think will work for you would be the best choice. The market is moving slowly for majority of this year and for me that's something to be positive about.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with cryptocurrency (in my country) isn't easy as I thought on: November 07, 2019, 08:03:26 PM
This is very unfortunate! Some Governments are anti-crypto and would exert efforts to prevent it or discourage it from its own citizens but eventually, they will reconsider it once mass adoption becomes full blown and other foreign Governments adopts it.

I suggest that if some of you can't access  this forum due to some censorship ion your country, you can try to use VPN or TOR so that it will give you more privacy and less fear from Government interventions.

Its not the government which is preventing access to the websites in this case. Turkey's government aren't the bad guys here instead its the internet providers of Turkey who are restricting access to social media and Cryptocurrency related websites. This should not be used as a anti government movement as its not the government enforcing these restrictions on the Turkish population.

I did not know that ISP would also have the rights to choose what sites are restricted from access by their consumers. I always thought that it will needed to be approved by the government first before these restrictions/bans happen.
I guess people would be forced to used VPN as the person you quoted said first.
Another way would be trading locally like personal transaction but that's quite time consuming.

Well if it's not allowed in your country, there's really very limited things you can fo about it. You can't flaunt it everywhere by wearing shirts printed with crypto since that won't really matter if it's not allowed. There should be work arounds though like using vpns or proxy servers. A lot of chinese people are probably doing this already. Don't worry, there will come a time when every government would embrace change and accept that crypto is here to stay.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 07, 2019, 12:17:36 PM
The Bucks might win. Kawhi will not play again because of load management according to some articles, however, other news articles say that he has an injury. What is the real story? Fake injury hehehe?

The Clippers might be breaking players resting policy if it is load management.

The bucks did win the game, though no Kawhi for the clippers but the game is almost winnable for the them. Anyways, load management is common in the NBA nowadays since they don't want their key players to get injured early in the season.

They did win a couple of games already so they can afford to be relaxed for a few games though i'm not sure how the nba woud react if kawhi's healthy and they just decided not to play him. As far as i know there's an existig rule about that. I just can't wait 'til he and pg becomes healthy again to play together.
335  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Bullish for Bitcoin’ — China Scraps Plans to Ban Cryptocurrency Mining on: November 07, 2019, 09:23:38 AM
Quote
Bitcoin (BTC) mining will not face a state crackdown in China, authorities have confirmed in new official documents. As noted by Blockstream CSO Samson Mow and others on Nov. 6, mining no longer features on a list of industries Beijing considers undesirable.

“Bullish for Bitcoin”
The change came via a new edition of China’s Industrial Structure Adjustment Guidance Catalog, which will take effect from the start of 2020.

“China’s National Development and Reform Commission has removed #cryptocurrency mining from the list of industries they want to eliminate. Bullish for #Bitcoin,” Mow commented.

A previous incarnation of the document earlier this year had conversely included Bitcoin mining as one of the government’s targets.

The news marks a rare boon for Bitcoin-related activities in China, a country where cryptocurrency outside the control of the central bank remains all but banned.

BTC markets calm
The recent endorsement of blockchain technology from president Xi Jinping coincided with a dramatic rise in BTC/USD, after which local media cautioned on misinterpreting the remarks as supportive of crypto.

Following the most recent announcement, however, little appeared to change on Bitcoin markets.

Mining has long formed a profitable industry in China, with cheap electricity meaning major participants still reside there. Canaan Creative, one of the biggest Bitcoin mining rig manufacturers, will reportedly undergo a $400 million initial public offering, or IPO, later this month.
Cointelegraph

No doubt that this could be the one of the most bullish news this year, this could quiet bring back confidence to Chinese Crypto miners that fled from their country due to past regulation pressure. Whats your thought, is this the bullrun catalyst that weve been waiting for?

Nope. Good news, yes. Catalyst for a bull run, i doubt it. Could probably boost btc price for a short while but i don't think it'll start a sustained run to consider it a bull run. Btc's price spikes and fluctuates to a variety of reasons but usually recoils or slows down. At least that's how I see the the current state where we started under 4k this year. Unless china lifts the all bans and entirely accepts crypto, then chinese users may start something on their own.
336  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: November 07, 2019, 07:59:50 AM
Joke's on you if you believed those out of this world predictions by that old man. He probably didn't even believed his predictions himself lol. And most of us didn't take it seriously. His predictions are as good as those who said bitcoin would be out of value after it went down hard last year. Might as well listen to warren buffet lol.
337  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to learn bitcoin trading? on: November 07, 2019, 07:03:34 AM
A lot of guys here suggesting watch youtube videos or read articles on how to trade. For me,  same with them but watch only the essentials, the basics! After that, you should start trading with a small amount of money. I believe that to learn how to trade, you need to experience trading fully. Keep on learning by experiencing it.

don't take trading signals, because what they share is not necessarily accurate.

Personally, I am applying some of the trading signals I see here on the web, and mostly they are working. But yeah, you will lose money on some signals. Nothing is accurate in terms of trading. But most of the signals are just based on the trend. For me, following the trend is a good thing with regards to trading because that is my basis when I am making a day trade.

Basically learn from everything. The tips that you'll see here are what works for the people giving out the tips. Videos, books, engaging in forums and discussions, you'll be able to pick up a lot from all these. Though i agree about trading with small amounts. What you'll learn from others won't have any effect if you don't apply and practice. Keep yourself aware of how it feels to lose. I think that's essential in getting your emotions ready for trading.
338  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: November 07, 2019, 05:54:03 AM
Well, hey! All you GW jokers don't have to sit around with your thumbs blah, blah, blah. Show us the hot weather forecasts.

Several Blasts Of Arctic Air Will Bring Early Winter To Northeast

Global warming means on average. It absolutely doesn't mean that every part of the globe will be hotter at every moment in the year.
In fact global warming leads to greater temperature volatility. Yes, long droughts and fires, but also stronger hurricanes and heavier rainfall.
You go out on a summer's day, and it can be very humid. Go out on a winter's day, and it is never humid. Hot air contains more water. Hot air has more energy. Global warming doesn't mean hotter everywhere all the time, it means hotter on average, globally, year to year. GW is weather on steroids.

And it's evident nowadays and we can certainly feel it's effects. I wonder how other people can stay blind and say it's not happening.  In a span of a decade, we've managed to help accelerate the effects of Global Warming. We're becoming a bigger threat to ourselves and other species and the future generations would likely be the one to reap everything we're sowing today.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to expect now? on: November 07, 2019, 04:08:46 AM
Yes, we can expect good movements in the crypto market but it can take a longer time to pump. I think at the end of this year the crypto market will start pumping. Even we can see a dump into the crypto market in November, so, anything can happen, but the vibe is very positive right now.

Hopefully, there is something change this month because, as you say, the crypto market has a good movement. Some altcoin has already moved and made a new high price, but that is not too high. So we could hope that in the next week, the market starts to increase higher and meanwhile bitcoin is searching for a new step to improve. But the dump may happen as the market this week still cannot predict.

I wonder why people would still want a fast paced movement here. The current market is looking quite healthy with it's gradual push upwards. I'd prefer to have it this way rather than get another pump only to have it crash and cause panic.  I'm lessening my expectations to avoid being too emotional since I'm holding quite a lot of coins at the moment.
340  Economy / Economics / Re: What's it like to live on crypto instead of Banks? on: November 07, 2019, 03:01:43 AM
Imagine living your life without depending on Banks ever again. Using only cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, you can make your own income stream and use the coins earned to buy stuff from merchants who accept them.

Well, then that'll just be like the current state of things were we work for fiat and use fiat. Obviously the benefits is that we no longer need to have the money go through banks before using them and we can keep them ourselves but there might be some services that would not be available to us such as loans (which also means no credit scores, etc). We basically just spend what we have.

Of course once we get to the point where crypto more than half the population is using crypto then there might be more providers to replace the services banks give but for now we still have a use for them.

We'll then realize how it is to have full control over our money. That's what Bitcoin was supposed to do in the first place, right? Though of course, for now that's just wishful thinking and I don't think that we'll get by exclusively on crypto. Too many aspects need to be addressed and considered first.

And with bankers basically controlling most goverments, it's unlikely that we'll see that happen within our lifetimes.
