181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whales keep getting richer and richer while everybody else is losing... on: December 13, 2019, 10:52:24 AM
Not all see the connections

but whales have entered into btc and other crypto very early

into their governance - protocol and eco-systems:

It's not just that. You can take playing poker for example, Stack bullies have an easier time winning hands compared to others since they can bet bigger amounts, hence better returns. That's the advantage of trading or investing an amount you can afford to lose. No pressure. If they lose at a certain point, they can easily cover the loss and get it back since they have more than enough asset at their disposal. Sadly, that can't be said for normal people like us who'll have trouble shrugging off and recovering a big loss.
182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $5k? Tone Vays on: December 13, 2019, 09:29:03 AM
I have no idea why the need to post this. The guy literally just passed by the prediction, it didn't even take 30 seconds, a few seconds at most and bam, the discussion about BTC probable price and done. Plus, the source itself is a problem since it's an interview. I'd rather have a prediction made with explanations through the use of charts and such during a video, one that this video didn't show. Additionally, this was posted around a month ago already? You never know, he may have actually changed his prediction already.

The part where he said about the growth of 10k and above once it has reached that checkpoint, I couldn't agree more about it though. I've done a bit of studying and well, based on past records, it's pretty easy to see how BTC moves during halvings (Considering no other surprise factors are involved).

Yeah and I don't see any difference between this and all other predictions before. All these speculations are basically clawing on straws. No steady basis and it's as good as anyone's prediction who don't even have any experiences in crypto. Better not mind any of these anymore as they're just the same as the others. I have my own predictions and that's as good as this with the same chances of coming true. To each his own I think.
183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Journey to the Mars,Elon Musk vision! on: December 13, 2019, 09:00:17 AM
The private company Spacex is getting ready to move the passengers from Earth to Moon by the year 2025 and also he mentioned that they will move 1 Million people to Mars and create the first civilization of Mars along with himself.

Do you believe this will become possible in the next five year? Or just a sci-fiction story!
elon musk may move 1 million people to mars but how do this 1 million people leave there , mars does not have water and oxygen like earth i dont think its possible  , may be 100yrs from now with new technology if there is planet which supports life
AFAIK, NASA confirms the existence of water and oxygen in Mars but the real fact is they are existing in different state like frozen and liquid respectively so it will take extra efforts to make them into consumable state for human for that we have to spend millions.

So vision of Mars is only for Billionaires.Everything is business bro. Cheesy

Lol. That's too farfetched. It's extremely difficult by today's means to even take a few people to Mars. A million people is already more than the entire population of some major cities. I'd say this is folly at this time and for the near future. It's a full blown colonization and at this point, you'll see it realized in science fiction books. I admire Elon Musk's vision, but this is a bit too hopeful even for his standards. If that is to happen, it's more than likely that it's not in our generation and the next.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: How do manage portfolio efficiently while having a full time job? on: December 13, 2019, 08:33:13 AM
By having a weekday 9-5 job, i must say my eyes aren't that keen anymore for trends and hardly made any good decision on buying/selling alts. Basically what i did is:

Weekdays: Coinalarm app to observe my portfolio real time but it's far less efficient and responsive to market movement, Slack and Telegram app are linked as well but still is very difficult to process insightful information while in working mood.

Weekends: More active than usual but time is limited  Undecided

Any opinions or suggestion to improve my current situation?

Thanks in advance and sorry for bad english  Sad

Turn on your notifications. You don't need to be on the lookout for trends all the time. Most traders here do have full time jobs. On your free time, you then backtrack on previous movements and it's possible it's still linked to current events. Then set up reasonable buy and sell orders based on what you've studied during your free time. It should work for you by itself. Just make sure that you manage your expectations well.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 13, 2019, 07:39:37 AM
It should pick up don't worry. It was unexpected that 2017 would go the way it did. At the entire market went up a bit too high or me at an early time. So when the correction happened, it hit almost everybody hard. 2019 though was a pretty good season, especially for bitcoin which recovered to more than half of it's value when the year started. A hype like 2017 would probably not happen again, due to factors related to the 2018 plunge. But definitely it's not the end for crypto, especially for the blockchain tech. All the more, I'd say it's just the beginning.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: December 12, 2019, 09:43:07 AM
stupidity is so close to poverty, do you agree with such a phrase?
if it yes, means the poor are the fools.
I want to know your opinion.  Grin Grin

I totally agree with this, because how can you possibly manage your wealth when you are stupid? everyone will take the opportunity from you and leave you alone. In my country, we have the saying "Seek knowledge to the land of China" which means, we have to study to the highest level and be smart so we can avoid poverty.

You forgot the power of wealth that you can be able to go to a good school, you can do home school too who can teach you with everything, so let's not close the door with this kind of chances, when we have money, we can do the possible things ( if ever) but, yeah in real life, those who has a good knowledge has more advantage over stupid person who doesn't know how to think well in every situation.

Well stupidity doesn't alwats equate to lack of knowledge. Many smart people can act stupid a lot of times. It be because of belief, indoctrination, culture, etc. Not all people who can think logically act on it. There will be those who will put common sense aside in favor of something that's based on emotion. A lot of rich people are like that.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: December 12, 2019, 09:11:09 AM
We don't know if people will use the Libra coin or not because this coin hasn't been released yet and still cannot be accessed by investors, the coin is still in the process of forming both from the system sige or other aspects, so we can't decide if the coin will be used  or not
Libra is designed for people to use, so even at this development stage we already know how to use it.

and to answer @op's question, I think it will only be used by people getting a contract to launch their ads on facebook.
Or maybe the facebook influencers that Facebook pays for their video and much more.

I'm just hoping that libra will come true in which it's been too long since they've been started. Many of us will benefit the libra project because most people around here in the community already know and use the facebook and it will definitely each of us can easily to learn the benefit of libra coin here in crypto currency community.
having a facebook account means it must automatically use libra too, maybe later on facebook there will be a task to get libra coins for free as if it's enough to be active on facebook.
and yes, libra most likely will be used on facebook to influencers and ad payments.
but unfortunately at this time it's only speculation because we don't know the details when libra will be released to the public.
If that happens, I will buy libra coins right now. Since I am also a social media user particularly in facebook. I can't stop working with their free tokens if ever it might have. I can browse my fb for one whole day and if there is mini airdrop to boost Libra's identity then I will be the one that will participate. However, fb can advertise their token without give aways for task.
Last announcement from Libra team they have allowed and get permission from united state government to allow and give space for Libra become legal currency payment in United State, I like Libra become legal currency payment and investing because many investor have wait when Libra announce to public and when we can invest with Libra coin.

Lol. The thing is, not much people is even using bitcoin yet. In general, even if libra stays true to it's use, majority of the people would still see it as something like a store of value. Personally, at this time,if i have a decent stash of libra, i won't use it yet. It stays in my wallet until the time that it's value is either suffecient for me to take profit, or stable enough to use for actual transactions.
188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greta Thunberg is the time's person of the year 2019 on: December 12, 2019, 07:24:11 AM
Well the prestige of this award has certainly gone down recently but hey, the kid did get a lot of attention and that fierce speech a couple of months ago did place her on the spotlight, along with what seems to be her advocacy. So i don't have anything against her being named Person of the Year, though i also don't consider this award something to look up to anymore.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: December 12, 2019, 06:51:43 AM
different strategy, funds for bitcoin is better to stay focused on one goal only, if mixed with both of them will still reduce the assets owned by traders, it is not good if BTC conditions go down. The capital strategy for altcoin must be separate, or you can use altcoin trading mode using tether or bnb pair. Assuming that the bullrun is still next year, we must still have a plan that is in accordance with the conditions this month.

Altcoins can be an alternative ways on earning profit second to bitcoin. Like ethereum, we can always earn from trading and holding because it's one of the promising altcoins same with bnb. So by now, if you think bitcoin was still struggling to increase we always have the best options to have those promising coins that's active at the exchange markets.

I don't think ETH is good for earning by trading since the price is not so agile and it's hard to get profits from ETH by daytrading.
Earning money by daytrade is better to trade with coins with not so big volume, so the price must be more agile and we could learn more profits and don't forget to set a stop loss in everytrade.

Well majority of the coins today aren't moving the way day traders would like. Profit may be very slow  for any altcoin. Of course, when we talking about investing in alts, then you have to be looking at a long term goal, not just daytrade profits. Ether has a pretty secure future already and it just may take some time before holders get their wait's worth.
190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: December 12, 2019, 02:34:49 AM
I agree we can't observe the total emissions, it's important to view it per capita.
We can't expect countries with a billion people to have the same emissions as countries with a 100 million.
Still, however, I don't see how this temperature rise correlates with any human activity.
The ice mass was significanlty lesser thousands of years ago then it is now.

Nasa does a pretty good job of breaking down what's going on with climate change...

No, they don't. They know as little as anyone else.

All the CERTAINTIES are in the minds of TRUE BELIEVERS.

Well one thing's sure now. That stunt of hers, or whoever placed here in that position, got her Time's person of the year award. That should get her and the people behind her more attention for what they're advocating, which in should be climate change. Though there's a lot of things I'd prefer that she be doing at that age than going up against adults and big corporations. Hands down for the piercing eyes that looked really determined, though.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of bounty campaign. on: December 11, 2019, 12:32:33 PM
Day by day people are getting to know crypto currency, each day good number of interested people join the BitcoinTalk forum. The way the bounty qualifications and rank was in 2012 is not any more. Getting to the next rank is getting more difficult,KYC came in and many other changes, Now don't you think very soon most signature will only be opened to people from Full member and/or very few number will be given the chances of participation in many bounty campaign to have it convenient?
Actually KYC issues are no longer important. Projects now seem to no longer need KYC and they focus on bounty hunters to help their projects. The important thing here is that signature campaigns are underrated, which makes up a very low percentage of the reward pool and sometimes not in the bounty program. It seems that the bitcointalk forum is not as influential as it used to be and the signature campaigns will be completely deleted in the future? I am quite worried about this issue.
I know whit bounty campaign last 2016 where my first payment from bounty campaign from wagger campaign with good reward receive by joining social media campaign, so far I have faced with many worth bounty campaign by giving higher reward like minexcoin and power ladger bounty campaign, I don't know why old bounty campaign can listed with big exchange market like bittrex with POWR coin and Centra bounty coin can listed with Binance exchange, what happen with new campaign bounty today never listed with big exchange market?

Well of course we can't compare bounty campaigns now from how it was a couple of years ago. Back then, it was possible to earn 1 full bitcoin or more in equivalent. Of course they project managers had to adjust with the value of btc. The problem is with camaigns that pay with tokens that most of the time doesn't even get any value. There have been a lot of bounty hunters that didn't get what they signed up for and thar affects the reputation of bounty campaigns in general.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good advice or bad advice? on: December 11, 2019, 11:38:30 AM
Stop clinging unto the past, focus more on the present for now and i am sure that there is more money to be made in crypto space, just find good coins to hold as long as you want, remember that its not easy to hold coins and remember that not all people start holding since 2010, some entered crypto space when the last bullrun of 2017 was already around the corner
If we compare with 2017 with now it is indeed much different and it is true that many people always compare what has happened with what is now happening and because of that they will think that what they are doing now is useless. It's better to focus on what we currently do, how we survive in this cryptocurrency market.

Well a lot of people can't seem to let go of what happened in 2017. I mean, it's possible that we'll break all time high in the future, but you should stop aiming for it in the short term. I mean it may come, yes, but it's likelier that it'll take a long wait time. And that may come when nobody expects it. Imagine if you're aiming for that in the short term and the opposite happens. Another wave of lost money for you.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason soon or not ? on: December 11, 2019, 08:03:51 AM
Hi there,

I personally think Altseason is starting soon. We have been in a bear marker for such a long time and Alt season is lurking.

BTC dominance is trapped in a descending triangle for a long time now. Testing the support and resistance trendlines multiple times.
No sign of altcoin season lurking around the corner and it doesn't look like it will come any time soon but crypto is unpredictable, the last altcoin season won't repeat itself anymore, any possible future altcoin season will be different so its better to go after solid altcoins only, if you aren't too sure about a coin just swap to another

Well just as OP said, it's his personal opinion, so i'll just give him that. I don't know where that lurking aly season came from but honestly, i'm not even thinking about it anymore. I do have my stash of alts that i think will benefit me in the long run and whether they shoot up or not  i won't have any regrets. I do make little profits every now and then with the market's current status so whether alt season does come or not, i wouldn't get bothered.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: December 11, 2019, 07:12:42 AM
The year 2019 came with diverse expectations from everyone. Some persons were of the opinion that the year would be better than the previous year, others had a negative view.
The year 2020 is around the corner and I would like to know what are your expectations as it relates to the market, Crytocurrency projects and the overall health of the industry.

I don't think a lot of people expected 2019 to go the way it did. Honestly, just for bitcoin, we're wsy ahead of expectations. I was thinking of recovery this year but only up to 6k for bitcoin's value. That's why for me, it's been a very good year. I should do the same for next year. Keep my expectations minimal. That way, positive surprises are more likely to happen than disappointments.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your tron price prediction? on: December 10, 2019, 12:39:17 PM
TradingBeasts.com predicts Tron Price Prediction 2020 that in January 2020 a price between $0.05-$0.08 may be expected. By the end of December 2020, a high rise is expected at prices from $0.21 – $0.30.

What's your point of view on tron price prediction?
All time high for the Tron price was $0.3 on January 2020 which is mean if its price now reach $0.3 again then we will see another all time high.

I doubt the prediction will come true, since there is no good information who come because if we just rely on technical analyst we will have 30% to believe it and the rest it is just a gamble.
we really cannot trust the analysis of other people in full, if we follow it then a large percentage is at stake, and the other percentage is correct our trust. so if we try to follow it, we bet with funds and trust in the attached research. if it's me, then it's good to do your own research

Well trx has been moving along with how the majority of the market is moving. There are no drastic upwards or downwards trend recently and i think this will follow this trajectory until next year. I was able to buy a good stack of trx when the price plunged back to under 140 sats, so i'm good at this point and probably things can only get better in the near or distant future.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 10, 2019, 11:57:22 AM

Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore, they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?

Some people are cutting their losses in the altcoin market. There are too many coins, and most of them are doing badly, so it makes sense to sell before they get to zero.

I think next year it would be better to concentrate on a few alts and build their eco-system instead of chasing new coins that last for a few months and then start tanking.

On point dude. It's not about boycotting alts. It's asset management for a lot of traders at this time. And there will be a time for alts to grow in value again. Bitcoin has had the best recovery season this year so it's a bit logical for most traders ti put their bet on where the money is. The people who are holding alts aren't moving just yet but i'm sure there will be a time for that.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference? on: December 10, 2019, 04:23:11 AM
Many people want to see their governments adopting crypto currency and using it to replace fiat in their daily life. If it happens futurely, it will be in a centralized way of course. Governments will create their own crypto currencies and force people use it.
But my main concern is: why would they do this if there is already digital cash?
Isn't a centralized crypto currency the same than digital cash? What is the difference, if there is any?

Share your thoughts, please.

Faster and easier transactions through blockchain, i guess? Though you're not sure that that's how it will be, that governments will force people to use their own crypto. I don't think that'll work. They'll probably set a middle ground for compromise when it comes to decentralization. Of course there would be changes as to how we see crypto now to the time that it's widely accepted.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just earned my first 9$ in Bitcoin Cash, how can I grow it? on: December 10, 2019, 03:08:33 AM
9$ is a small amount if you want to invest. If you learn how to trade maybe you can make your 9$ a few hundred dollars in a few weeks or you can join the airdrop and bounty campaign to increase your funds
That amount is good for beginner or should I say those who want to try out trading, but we can't expect it to grow in just few weeks because its not a huge amount. It would be better to increase the funds first like using your fiat then buy worthy coins that is currently cheap.

First of all I would never recommend trading for inexperienced users. I have seen a lot of guys losing their hard earned coins this way. And another thing that we need to remember is that many of the exchanges do have steep deposit/withdrawal charges. So if you deposit $9 in an exchange, when you withdraw your cash it will be much lower than this amount. Also, the market is in a very depressed stage right now. The prevailing conditions are not very suitable for trading.

Though it's also best for inexperienced traders to start low. In this case, 9$ may look insignificant for experienced traders, but it's a good amount to try and get a good feel of how it is when trading. We always encourage newbies to trade with an only an amount that they can afford to lose. And I think this is an amount any aspiring trader can afford to lose.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: December 10, 2019, 01:25:09 AM
I remember when people used to say having 21 was good, because then you would have 1 millionth of the supply. Now I see people talking about some 6.15 number, which I have no idea why or how anyone came up with that number.
Other guys tell people having 1 bitcoin will be 'enough' in the future, and how long into the future, I do not know.
I recently saw people saying online that 1 bitcoin is not attainable for most people, and they should aim for 0.1 bitcoin, and that sounded crazy to me. Surely if something is so important, you can find a way of getting 1 bitcoin over a year or two?

Do you guys have a certain amount you are aiming for?
Personally I dont have a cap on the amount I want to get. I just keep getting as much bitcoin as I can, when I can. Stacking sats I think the cool kids call it.
I dont think I will ever stop doing this. If I need to liquidate some in order to live and buy things, i'll do that, but i'll always keep trying to replenish what I spend.
It depends on your level of greed. actually, with 0.1 Bitcoin it is too low and it seems that everyone can achieve it. I know that many bitcoin-minded people will soon reach $ 1 million or $ 10 million in the future, so they just want to get 0.1 bitcoin. This is ridiculous, but I have yet to find any data showing that the value of bitcoin could rise to $ 1 million. all are just McAfee fomo news and financial "experts", it's nothing reliable.

Well that still doesn't answer the question as to how many should be enough. That's probably because you really can't have a definitive answer as the question is subjective. Some of us would just settle for .1 btc whether it goes up to 1million or not simply because we have other means to make money. Those that largely rely on btc would obviously say they'll need more.
200  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: December 09, 2019, 12:48:01 PM
Fiat and crypto have harmonization each other and we can't make one of them could stand by self with have each of fiat of crypto, with fiat crypto could be most profitable because many people still use money for many transaction kinds in their country, without crypto fiat look lke not completed with many transaction for other country faster by crypto.

We still can't say that fiat and cryptocurrencies are in harmony but sooner or later they will have to be.
Cryptocurrencies have become part of many societies and governments and central banks need to find the way how to regulate it the best way because with time cryptocurrencies will only grow.
That doesn't mean that people will stop to use fiat currencies, that will not happen but probably will combine the best of both. Therefore the best option for harmony of fiat and cryptocurrencies should be found as soon as possible.

Probably not yet fully harmonized with each other but i think it's just a matter of time. I think crypto was meant to be like that in the first place. That would likely come when crypto becomes more accepted by the people the same way they accept fiat. Though we may see some significant changes in crypto with that since some features may have to be given up.
