241  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vape Products Shouldn't be Banned on: November 30, 2019, 05:18:48 AM
Well for me, if cigarettes aren't banned in a certain country, then there's no logic in banning vapes. I mean, it's the lesser of the two evil so why not focus on cigarettes first where a whole lot more people are affected? Though we can't really do anything about it if a government implements such orders. We can voice our our minds but we don't have any choice but to follow.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 30, 2019, 03:53:18 AM
Well I'm having quite a hard time figuring out where to use it in the first place. Bitcoin, Ethereum and other more established coins don't even have that much is today. Probably when the time comes that crypto is accepted and understood, and it integrated in society, we'll be able to answer these kind of questions. There are still a lot of things to be worked out for Libra's actual use and for people to accept it.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: November 30, 2019, 02:45:58 AM
First time that I did that was at a 711 store in Taipei lol. Though they don't accept bitcoin or any crypto at that certain store, I was surprised that the crew did know about it. I realized then that bitcoin is already widely known all over the world. Awareness about what it is is already there though it usage still needs a lot of work to give people confidence to use it.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: November 29, 2019, 06:02:25 AM
If this is your spare money and you can bear the loss then invest it two or three big projects like Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB, XRP and watch the list in Coinmarketcap, otherwise don't take the risk if you have no spare money.

For a specific goal like that, I wouldn't risk it in crypto. Yes there's a chance that it will grow in value over time. There's also a big chance that your savings for the house would take a drop that may take a long time to recover. Even if you place it in stable coins, or big and established coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum, the risk is still too big. I'd take my chances on my bank for such ventures as did a lot of people who were able to save up for real estate assets.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am not lucky in trading - what am I doing wrong? on: November 29, 2019, 04:41:47 AM
that happens to a lot of people, not just to you. Just continue to practice trading with small amounts. When you average the times that a traders missed the right buy or sell point, I think most of us are more in the negative. Trading will test your patience and sometimes it will seem that you're just out of luck. Good traders set this aside and continue to learn. If you want to be an efficient trader, then you shouldn't  let setbacks dictate your general outlook towards trading. It's a continuous learning process.
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the top traders at this forum? on: November 29, 2019, 03:38:08 AM
Well even if someone steps up to the plate and claims that they're the best trader in here, there's no way for us to know whether that's true or not. Anyone can do that with fabricated screenshots of how much they've earned already. Honestly, I don't think there's anything useful to be taken out of that as well. There should be many efficient traders of course, but if you're one of them, why would you bother telling us that you're good? Few would believe you anyway if you do that and you'll get nothing out of it.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: November 28, 2019, 11:26:40 AM
If only I am capable, I will give local people free crypto. This is the best idea for me to push them to research about it.
Some capable crypto people do it on twitter, they do giveaway free money free crypto.

Valuable crypto? It is not easy to give a valuable amount of crypto to everyone if they didn't know it yet. how they use it if they don't know how to trade it? the best way to spread it to them now is to give them an event that will give them interest to participate with a free food. with that knowledge sharing, they will learn much more.

Lol. If people actually come over because of free food, they pretty much won't have any interest in what you're going to share. It's because of the free food anyways. And btc or eth or xrp are too valuable to give away so you would likely opt for shitcoins just to let them feel how it is to hold crypto. Which obviously won't work for their undrstanding as well. People have been hearing about bitcoin and crypto for a while now and there are those who are genuinely interested. I think we should focus on them first.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How you can say that? on: November 28, 2019, 08:52:39 AM
Crypto enthusiasts buy crypto with centralized cards from centralized platforms. Transfer that crypto in centralized exchanges and trade with centralization. And whenever get caught in a problem with the exchange, accuse the centralized exchange. So how with all this you can talk about centralization?Huh? You prove your words wrong with your acts.

An extremist then are we? 😁 you know most of us don't even think about that anymore. People do what's beneficial for them or what makes money. Right now, few cares about what they're using being decentralized or not. It helps them. It meets their needs. That's all there is to it. Crypto was meant to be decentralized but it also needs to adapt to the current situations.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 28, 2019, 07:44:14 AM
from what I read, the solution provided is to make bitcoin for such payments to workers or use directly for products or services so that the use of bitcoin becomes more widespread.
however, until now there have been very many people who use bitcoin as a tool that helps services such as payment of a web manufacturing service on the internet, or other things. even some people have accepted bitcoin as a means of payment for vehicle sales. this needs to be done, but all of that is limited by regulation. I am sure, this will gradually develop.

Over time perhaps. But those people who hold bitcoin at the moment are not thinking about circulation yet. It's value and it's potential value is what's keeping people from actually using bitcoin for transactions. Holders anticipate the price to go up in time hence they want to keep their bitcoins for that. It may take a while before we see actual circulation of not just bitcoin, but other crypto as well, and them being used for regular transactions like how we use fiat. Probably until the last satoshi is mined, this will be the mindset of most btc holders.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think terrorist groups around the world use Cryptos as a means of payment? on: November 28, 2019, 07:07:16 AM
Lol! I love your self declaration in the last paragraph! Thanks for letting us know that you aren't planning to start your own terrorist group!

Anyway, we don't know if the terrorists are using cryptos for their funding or not because there's no way for us to know it! But definitely a chance is there and that's what is a big concern for the regulatory bodies worldwide and it's not a mere speculation! Money laundering and terrorism financing are two major risk areas that regulatory bodies are trying to mitigate before agreeing on a global crypto regulatory framework. FATF is actively working on this and they have also presented a guideline to the world leader in the last G20 summit in Osaka!

We, as commoners, certainly think that cryptos must not be used for illegal means because it will only earn bad reputation for cryptocurrencies. We want it clean and pure so that we can it as blessings and not as condemnation!

Hope it makes sense!

Well i'm sure that it's being used. What better way to deal anonymously with governments and powerful people than with crypto. I mean, it should already be a given that with crypto's features, it more than likely that it'll be suitable for illegal transactions. That's one of the reasons as well why sone governments and a lot of people are against or cautious about the widespread use of it.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Thinking of Bitcoin Blockchain Accessible Without Internet on: November 28, 2019, 03:32:56 AM
What if I'm in an area without internet and I need to spend bitcoins? Wouldn't it help the decentralization principle if bitcoin doesn't depend on third-party internet connection? An internet built on the Bitcoin blockchain should be a possibility.

I don't see how that could happen. An internet built on blockchain would basically run on online connection also. I think it's just not possible at the moment. I could imagine something that runs on other signals like GPS, but it would be a hard task integrating all you could do with crypto on that signal. In the end, we'd still end up requiring internet connection anyway.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen after cryptocurrency on: November 27, 2019, 10:06:24 AM
You worry too early when cryptocurrencies are just starting to grow, after cryptocurrencies there are still different legal currencies of each country, I believe in the future if I can just Newer modifications are more convenient and can be combined with crypto.

I don't think he's worried at all. Just curious as to what your thoughts are about it. I don't think many of here are heavily realiant on crypto to be alarmed or worried about it's future. If things continue the way they are right now, then i think we'll see crypto well into people's daily lives. Adoption could be well on its way in a few years. It comes with technology. And this younger generation is open to technological advancements such as bitcoin and crypto.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: November 27, 2019, 06:21:30 AM
yes you are right op the biggest problem why cryptocurrency hasn't been able to achieve mass adoption is because there are still many people who don't know about cryptocurrency. and also the refusal of most governments to make crypto not mass adopted.
but I am optimistic that the potential that bitcoin and other cryptos have over time is that people will realize the benefits of using crypto. and now more and more countries are adopting blockchain. if they have adopted the blockchain then I'm sure in the future they will also adopt bitcoin.

Little by little we are on our way with having a cryptocurrency mass adoption, few years ago what we concerned is if Bitcoin or crypto will still exist in few years, and now we are very sure that it will exist forever and it will part of our journey and that our concern is how we are going to help crypto to be known wordwide which is a good thing for all of us.

Mass adoption yes. Though I find it very unlikely that we can run exclusively on crypto. With crypto's current state, I don't think that's possible. There would have to be major adjustments, just to get crpyto primed for mass adoption and government support. Even in the future, I doubt it will happen. There may be another type of currency that will come up, or probably we'll still be heavily reliant on fiat.  We wouldn't know for sure. And I don't think we'll be around when that happens.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new Faketoshi strikes again! on: November 27, 2019, 05:34:07 AM
I'm not even sure why we're wasting on these people who obviously are just trying to get publicity that's connected with bitcoin. There's been a lot of them in the past already and there will still be those who will claim they're Satoshi in the future. I think we should just treat them like the novelty that they are and don't allow them the satisfaction of getting free publicity. We all know the real Satoshi won't show up.
255  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: November 27, 2019, 04:33:59 AM
yep even your family will treat you as parasite if you don't get a job. its not normal to just sit around doing nothing. you might as well be dead. people will advice you to learn how to fish, be a fisherman literately if you do nothing at all.

To tell the truth, I don't really care if some one refuses to work or not. But what happens nowadays is that people sit at home and expect the government to pay their expenses. And this is something that I can't condone. The number of welfare rats have increased over the years, due to the popularity of socialist parties. The problem here is that if the number of free-loaders increase above a certain threshold, then the entire system becomes nonviable. The government will end up with more and more fiscal deficit with every passing year and at some point an economic meltdown will occur.

That's the bigger picture that I'm also seeing instead of people frowning about how corrupt their government was and that it's better not to pay taxes since it's just going to go to some people's pockets. Let's say that it does, it doesn't change the fact that the government runs through the taxes that people pay. Some governments are just more efficient in handling their people's money and some are simply more corrupted. It's going to be hard getting rich when your government is breathing down your neck for tax evasion.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: Millennial generation are screwed! on: November 27, 2019, 02:52:45 AM
Its true it seems that millennials is less educated and probably the worst generation where even in social media their post are annoying they're main concern in life is sex, drugs and alcohol. They spend more time in online games, burning their money doing meth & alcohol and social media than spending more time in productive skill development or investing their futures into something like crypto.
You just saw someone that doesn't represent the whole generation, yes there are some millennials that even their capability are just doing something stupid like that but there are some that really contributes to the society as the silly and foolish one usually stands out the most. You just don't need to be so pessimistic about this generation, if you don't believe just see the amount of startups that are growing everyday that definitely shows this generation is doing something and not just wasting their time as you said.

Right, there's a lot to look forward to with the current generation, and with the means that are available to them, they could go a long way. Of course there are bad eggs in every era, even for those born in the 80s and 90s. Though we had to exert more efforts then because we don't have the tools the this generations have in their disposal. Everything needs to be done almost manually. With the internet and technology progressing this much, you can say that this generation can afford to be more relaxed than us.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Hit As Per The Experts Predictions? on: November 26, 2019, 01:14:56 PM
What exactly are the experts' predictions anyway? Everybody's claiming to be experts and making their own predictions that you yourself can become one. Predictions vary from extremely negative to audaciously hopeful. And bitcoin really never followed any certain predictions anyway. Movements usually depend on sudden developments like whales moving their coins from one point to another on a whim.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You Bought Bitcoin Each Week in 2019, You’d Be up 49% on: November 26, 2019, 09:03:07 AM
Well the first few months of this year was pretty low so yeah, by average, you should be up at thispoint even when bitcoin dropped to 7k. Though you wouldn't have expected the movements to go the way it did. Good for those who had the foresight to buy early on. If you're in for the long run, there's really nothing to worry about. This process simply repeats.
259  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 26, 2019, 06:09:00 AM
She's so cute. But if she keeps on gritting her teeth like that, she'll wind up with a mouthful of chipped-off fangs. Of course, that might fit her better.

 Cheesy

I think on this we're in agreement dude lol. I'm not really sure if it's staged or not but one thing you can give the girl is she's feisty. Though it's probably better if she'd stay in school. The big people she's referring to are likely not even taking this seriously.

Whether climate change is real or not, the big companies  and governments don't care and won't care unless they're directly being affected by what's happening.
260  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: November 26, 2019, 04:15:36 AM

Maybe to prevent it, really make sure that the site we submit KYC is really legit, although not guaranteed if our data is safe, at least it is still better than we recklessly give our data into any exchanges that ask it or maybe when join bounty that actually suspicious, they can do anything with our data easily.

That's the most important thing to do, if they will require your information for KYC, you should ask their license so you can sue them once they do something with your info, that's illegal because KYC information should be taken care by the company requiring it confidentially.

If there is a leaked, that's their problem too, just like what happen on Binance, so small or big company is not really safe, so we need to be careful with our data.

Well when it comes to big exchanges like binance, i don't mind since we really can't do anything if they require information from its users. There are other lesser known excganges that you can use that doesn't require kyc but the risk would pretty much be the same if they're not reputable yet. When it comes to wallets, you have more options if you don't want to submit kyc like have hard wallets.
