81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 03, 2022, 01:27:04 PM
Bitcoin has made a huge dip and if you look at the market chart, it's not a small one so you can't be surprised that a lot of people are scared for the money they have invested. However, it is not the first nor last time that the price had such a big dip after pumping higher than before. Following the trend of the price, it still should be a good time to invest right now but you can't really speculate how high will it go just the next year and how foreign factors will affect the price.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 03, 2022, 01:03:48 PM
You pretty much have to have both bear and bull market on an asset, that's just how it works so I don't think one can be more or less important than the other. Of course, you want the market to be bullish on the long run if you want to make profit, but the bear has to be there and it is a good chance to invest when it is, as most people do - buy low and sell high. Don't split it into two categories, it's better to look at the market as a whole with different opportunities.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin total supply is not 21M on: January 19, 2022, 03:21:05 PM
While this is true, it isn't that much of a relevant information. Even if it was exactly 21 million, it would be less because of the coins lost trough time, bitcoins sent to invalid addresses, miners not getting whole fees and similar things. What matters is that it is caped and that you have a maximum amount of coins because the market and price is based off this supply cap. It is interesting information but not really relevant for anything else.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tonga is now accepting Bitcoin donations amid tsunami on: January 19, 2022, 03:11:54 PM
As already said, it's a bit odd that haven't had internet for a few weeks, making it impossible to use Bitcoin and the donations. I also read that the address and it's holder isn't related to Tonga's government. Even if it is still exchanged in some other way and used for the cause I would research more before donating.
Either way it's nice seeing acceptance for Bitcoin, but I mostly see it once something bad like this situation happens since donations are good in any shape.
86  Economy / Speculation / Re: No strength in Bitcoin in higher time frames on: January 19, 2022, 02:59:10 PM
I wouldn't say that the market is very weak at this time. It's just a price decline - correction on the price. It's just how the market works and looking back 40k isn't a really weak price on a decline, it was lower in recent history. I wouldn't really panic, I think the price will either stabilize around the current one or pump after the correction. Holding on to your Bitcoins would be the best course of action, this is nothing to be really scared of.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar Cost Averaging Question on: December 10, 2021, 10:31:45 PM
You should buy 1.400$ a week. Dollar Cost Averaging is mostly done weekly, some investors might do it monthly, depending which time frame is more comfortable. I wouldn't recommend daily since you don't have that much fluctuation on the price daily most of the time. So it would just make investing a bigger job, weekly is much easier for you. Of course, you should set the amount you want to invest weekly according to your full investment fund.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value? on: December 10, 2021, 06:52:39 PM
That is pretty much the point of Bitcoin. It isn't backed by any physical asset because it is made to be decentralized and to have a different kind of market. It doesn't have actual physical value, but that is just a new way of investing and it is most probably the best kind of asset. Digital assets are definitely the future and their adoption is getting bigger by the day. I think it's worth a try, you just have to accept the new technologies.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: December 10, 2021, 01:27:29 PM
All points made in your post are true and valid. But I think you should always be alert while investing in any asset. Even tough Bitcoin actually only went up in history doesn't mean it wont devaluate sometime in the future. Dips are there, like in any assets value and they are normal and no one should be scared but a devaluation should be a matter of concern since you can't really know what is going to happen to the market. But that's just in a very longer run, for now and the close future the market will surely be stable.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin a donation to everyone on: December 06, 2021, 07:28:25 PM
Well, it sure is a donation.. and a very pricy one since I don't think it makes the much of an impact. Maybe it will pay off once we get close to the max supply. Either way I wouldn't want to be the one donating Tongue
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is the Bitcoin symbol going to be added to the keyboard? on: December 06, 2021, 02:22:36 PM
I don't think it will actually be added to keyboards anytime soon, maybe in distant future it will be that mainstream. Some sites or applications add a custom emoji or symbol like the one we have here, on the forum, but that are mostly sites which have connection directly to Bitcoin, not with general chats, writing apps social media etc. Maybe some phone company will support Bitcoin in some time and add an emoji or symbol.

Insert Bitcoin Sign Shortcuts

Windows Shortcut - Alt + 8383
Word Shortcut - 20BF + Alt + X
Mac Shortcut - Option + 20BF

Link - Webnots

I had no idea that there was an actual built-in symbol for Bitcoin, that's really nice. These shortcuts will come in handy.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think 0.1BTC is enough to "make it"? on: December 06, 2021, 02:02:45 PM
It really depends on your personal goals and ambitions. If you think owning a mansion is "making it", then by your book, you did. But other might want much more or some people think owning a car is success, so it's really individual. Owning 0.1 BTC right now is like 4800$, it isn't a small amount but I wouldn't count it as success, but maybe in the future 0.1BTC could be worth a lot more than the current price and it might be enough for some of us to say "I made it". My thoughts are: If you made it to 0.1, why wouldn't you go for even more? You can always do better.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy? on: December 06, 2021, 01:54:03 PM
HODL is the most used strategy in the community and it's for a reason - it could bring you the highest profit. Just look at the price in the past period, whoever held made a lot of money recently and mostly likely will make even more if they hold for even longer. Of course, there is a high risk of doing so, but I think it's better to have a long-term investment. You could use a more active method of trading such as riding the wave or investing with smaller amounts, but you will risk every time and holding would probably make a higher profit. I wouldn't recommend staking Bitcoin, just as a lot of people in this thread said, it is risky.
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin starting to recover on: May 26, 2021, 01:01:44 PM
I expected Bitcoin to go much lower before recovering, this seems a bit early considering how low it went every pump in the past. I don't think this is going to be full recovery even though it is going trough an increase for the past few days, it will probably go lower since it is too early for another pump. Buying at the current price would be a risk, at least in the shorter run, but maybe it would pay off.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could someone expect any other coin price can be up as compare to Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2021, 05:23:29 PM
There are very small chances for Bitcoin to be overthrown - maybe even none. Bitcoin is the oldest blockchain and every other cryptocurrency is mainly based off of Bitcoin, even if some use technology that may appear to be way different than Bitcoin. Apart from that, Bitcoin has the most investor, users and the biggest community that keeps it flowing in the market. Even if a lot of people switch to other coins, the market is so strong other cryptocurrencies would still need a lot of time to catch up. But that wont happen since most of people who invest in crypto invest in Bitcoin even if they use other coins. Alternative coins aren't bad or something but they surely wont get stronger than Bitcoin.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Domino's franchise offering salary to employees in bitcoin!! on: May 24, 2021, 05:18:25 PM
I love seeing good news like this considering how much more adopted is Bitcoin getting and it is good that more and more employers are offering Bitcoin as payments. But I could only see young people choosing this over conventional type of payment - if they don't depend on the money made and want to invest in Bitcoin. Older people or employees who make a living and depend on that salary surely wont take Bitcoin since you can't use it everywhere and the price is volatile and if you cash out there is no point getting payment in BTC. Nevertheless, not a bad concept and it's good for making it easier to invest for people who want to.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im Surprisd btc still alive on: May 24, 2021, 05:10:10 PM
Why wouldn't it be alive? It's hard for other cryptocurrencies to surpass it, and Bitcoin being the first one is just one reason why it will always stay on top. Just look a the market, the volume, the market cap and the price and compare it with cryptocurrencies below Bitcoin. Of course, there is a point considering technology differences and others have better aspects like lower fees or faster systems for an example, but Bitcoin is holding on as well. A lot of other coins are good as investments but still Bitcoin makes the most of the market and it will certainly stay #1.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla destroys bitcoin :-[ on: May 19, 2021, 07:41:22 PM
That hasn't even made tha much of an impact on the price, it did make a drop but what is decreasing the price rapidly is the panic made when it dropped after that event. People started panic selling and made the price drop even lower than it could have. It would have dropped at some point no matter what, so this isn't a big deal it just made it faster and earlier than expected.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl is not the best option as it seems on: May 19, 2021, 07:13:12 PM
It is a good option in longer terms, you can't expect to get the maximum profits if you can't hold and if you cash out as soon as you see a new ATH. If you cash out you certainly made a profit, but this isn't the highest Bitcoin can go. I think now is the time to buy more or even wait so it drops more and then buy. If you use dumps smart you can make lots of money by holding. Just invest smart, don't panic.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is someone worried about the recent decline of BTC? on: May 19, 2021, 07:03:01 PM
It will probably go l even lower, probably back to a stable 20.000$ like it has been for a long period of time. But that isn't a bad thing, wait a bit longer and we will have a great price to buy, it will make lots of profit later, to anyone who wants to hold long enough for a new ATH.
I am definitely going to buy soon, I think I wont be making a mistake, it isn't the first time that Bitcoin gets a huge dump after reaching an ATH, it's always been like this.
