361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: January 13, 2018, 10:58:03 AM
I didnt hear about it in 2010 but I regret not believeing in it in 2014. I mean, I did believe that it was going to get high, but not todays high. So I did not save any Bitcoins for a profit and I just spent all of it the same moment I got them. If I believed and tried harder, I would be sitting at a few thousand dollars right now. At least I have learned a good lesson, I'm going to hold them this time.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will die if this is not sorted out on: January 13, 2018, 10:50:05 AM
I do not think it will die because of it, many people who aren't botherded by the high fees still use Bitcoin because it is a small percentage for them. It wont die, but it really bothers users that have smaller amounts that are practically trapped unless sent with a very low fee. We had similar problems before and got over it, we just have to be patient right now.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: January 07, 2018, 10:22:28 PM
Well, Bitcoin is the best solution for criminals to bypass the police tracking the transactions and finding out who got and who sent the money. I really could not name a better solution. But I do not think that it is bad for Bitcoin because criminals also use cash and that does not seem to be a too big of a deal for people, they do not see that Bitcoin is a currency like any other.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting BTC to real money on: January 07, 2018, 09:49:49 PM
You can convert Bitcoin to fiat currency with a Bitcoin credit card. It works like a normal credit card but you can add your Bitcoin balance to it. Or try a Bitcoin ATM, they are  pretty much everywhere now, even in the poor countries. It is easy to use and they use accurate prices. You can google how to use and they have instructions anyway, you just have to have a mobile wallet.
365  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the best bitcoin wallets? on: January 07, 2018, 09:40:02 PM
I like small wallets that do not take too much space, like Electrum, but it has a vulnerability right now, so I do not recommend using it until its fixed. Bitcoin Core takes too much space and you need too much time to download it. I use an Android wallet and It takes about 5 MB of space and I did not ever have a problem with it, you can set the fees and it has all the functions except the signature.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am new to Bitcoin, how can I get started? on: January 07, 2018, 09:29:46 PM
You could pretty much google everything needed to start off, also you can find help by searching the Beginners section. The buying and selling time is pretty logical- buy low and hold as long as you can for the biggest profit. If you do not have the money to start right away, I suggest earning some on this forum - signature campaigns and tasks. It isn't big but it is some extra money.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: January 06, 2018, 01:19:21 PM
I think they will die if Bitcoin dies. I have also noticed that all of the altcoins follow Bitcoins price. When Bitcoin falls, the altcoin falls, and the other way round. Maybe they wont die if everyone just move to a certain cryptocurrency and make it Bitcoin #2 and continue the same system. I doubt it would ever happen, though.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is ripple going to overtake bitcoin ? on: January 04, 2018, 08:30:13 PM
Woah, slow down people, just because some people became rich by starting mining when it was worth $.001 it does not mean it is good or better than Bitcoin. It is worth only $3 for God's sake! One Bitcoin is worth more than $15000 which is 5000 times bigger! Sure, Ripple has gone up for quite a percentage, but it does not stand a chance against Bitcoin in any aspect.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin worth it or not? on: January 04, 2018, 08:25:11 PM
Its not late to invest if you plan on holding Bitcoin for a longer period. But you have to have a fairly big starting capital to start mining, mining is nowadays only profitable if you have the latest mining GPU's while trading is not that expensive, you can trade smaller amounts. Bitcoin is still profitable, the only thing you need to get informed about is how to start and start working.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When the transaction fee problem will be solved? on: January 04, 2018, 08:13:18 PM
I guess we have to wait until the Lightning Network comes live or some other solution gets picked. I thought that by 2018 we would have gotten over the problems but looks like they will stick around longer. At least economic fees are not that slow, the transactions wont get stuck for a week like they did in the past. It isnt a good fix, but it works if you aren't in a hurry for confirmations.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: January 04, 2018, 08:08:15 PM
It certainly wont blow up, because it is not a bubble, it had some drops but it has been stable for a longer time now. The only thing that makes me not use it as a currency are the enormous fees that have to be paid in order to get confirmed fairly fast. It is more an investment right now, many sites have stopped accepting Bitcoin and many people have stopped spending. Now we have more and more holders.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: December 28, 2017, 05:36:37 PM
The problem is getting fixed soon, fees were better two or three days ago, I could send a 20$ transaction with a 1$ fee. I guess the number of unconfirmed transactions got bigger. If the lightning network gets activated the problem would be solved much faster than waiting, without the lightning network maybe it wont even get fixed.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or bytecoin on: December 24, 2017, 10:34:55 PM
Ofcourse you can not mine Bitcoins with a GPU. But you have better coins to mine than Bytecoin though. If you really want to mine Bytecoin, mine around 100 of them (which will be fast, so you do not waste time) and leave them until they are 1$ or something (if it ever reaches around that value). Mine ethereum, litecoin or something, bytecoin is not a stable or good coin at all. But between Bitecoin and Bytecoin, it is bytecoin because Bitcoin is not proftable.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you donate Bitcoin for the poor and needy? on: December 24, 2017, 04:49:45 PM
I would donate Bitcoins if I had more Bitcoins than cash. But, as I earn a small amount of Bitcoins, I would rather donate cash. And the charity organisation has to be able to accept Bitcoin and transfer it to fiat because I doubt poor people that need that much help could accept Bitcoin. Aside from helping (which is most important), Bitcoin and our community would get good reputation.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain charging toomuch transfer fees on: December 24, 2017, 04:45:13 PM
Blockchain is not charging any fees, you can pick how much you want to pay the fee. Sure, you have to pay a higher fee to get faster confirmation time, but it isn't really necessary unless you can wait. I mean, it is a problem nowadays but we will get over it soon.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: interest in bitcoin is increasing on: December 24, 2017, 04:40:10 PM
It sure is, it got the most interest since the price got to almost 20000$. Now everyone that hasn't even known about Bitcoin are regreting not investing in it. I even saw an interview with a miner from my country and I was really surprised because it is rare that Bitcoin shows up on my national TV and my country is really unfamiliar eith Bitcoin but I see more and more people thinking about investing in it.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blackout - No transactions on Christmas Eve! on: December 23, 2017, 11:06:42 PM
This isn't a full time 'fix', but it would be nice to let the network catch up. I know this wont make much a difference because not everyone will see it, but it is worth a try and we'll at least speed up the confirmation process. I also think someone should pin this thread for more people to see.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It isn't just Bitcoin? on: December 23, 2017, 10:54:55 PM
Well, Bitcoin is getting better now, as all the other coins are, too. I guess there is really a connection  between Bitcoin and alternatives as you say. I wasn't really panicing, it just seemed weird to me that almost every coin is going red on marketcap, I have never seen it before. Now it is positive all the way, hope it stays that way..
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cost per transaction above 120USD - and increasing on: December 23, 2017, 12:01:50 AM
Yeah, this is some huge crap.. I have a small amount but it is locked away, I cant spend it or get cash or anything! I could only use it with a small fee and the transaction would be confirmed in about a week if I do that. I can only hope this will be fixed soon. I do not want a valuable coin which I can't use, it is ridicolous.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / It isn't just Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2017, 11:55:03 PM
As I can see on the marketplace, it isn't just Bitcoin who is struggling with the price fall, almost every popular coin is hitting an average 10% -15% price fall. What is actually happening? There is something more to this, it can't be that every coin has problems right now. Something bigger is happening..
