841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why it is better to buy things with Bitcoins rather than another currency? on: June 25, 2016, 04:17:13 PM
Like you have said, it's much faster, cheaper and available for everyone(not for some countries). I also like it because if you are i a poor country you can use Bitcoin instead of PayPal and similar stuff. And it is easy to earn, you can earn money just here, in this forum.
Probably the only downside is that not much shops accept Bitcoin. But that will maybe change in the future.
842  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What would you do if signature campaign is gone? on: June 25, 2016, 04:08:32 PM
I would do other services, trade with digital goods, games etc. It is currently my only income, it would have been a shame if they dissapear. It isn't the only solution, but they basically pay you to just hang out here and it is easy money, almost like free money. You basically do nothing, maybe even have fun while earning.

Only 1 euro for this account
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xaurum? on: June 25, 2016, 02:46:57 PM
Is Xaurum a good alternative? I don't like coins other than Bitcoin, but Xaurum seems like a good coin. I can't believe the price, too. It's 476$ right now! The coin is 34. On the marketcap rankings. It has a pretty small supply though, 7. 487 coins. The supply is small and the market cap is little above 3 million dollars. I can't believe the price.

I haven't tried it yet. What do you guys think? Did any of you try it yet?
Xaurum?is unfamiliar for and I never heard this coin. well, I wanna to try searching some information about this maybe can make me interested in them.
I accidentally stumbled upon the coin while scrolling trough the market rankings. I spotted it because of the high price. It's like the recent Bitcoin price.

847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What alt is the next best thing? on: June 25, 2016, 12:13:13 PM
I dont know if i would buy litecoin to be honest, I thought it was kind of dead as well due to it not really being needed because of bitcoin. I know you could argue it the other way round since it came after bitcoin.

I just thought maybe theres a darkhorse out their that hasnt been given enough hype for people to buy into, kind of like ethereum before it kicked off. I had ample oportunitys to buy into it at really low prices but never bit, maybe the altcoin world is just going a bit stagnant for now.
LiteCoin is one of the best alternatives, but to be honest all the alternative cryptocurrencies are dead compared to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the only legit cryptocurrency (with SOME alternatives such as LTC , PeerCoin perhaps, because they are stable and have decent prices for an altcoin).
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What alt is the next best thing? on: June 25, 2016, 11:33:28 AM
To be honest, I believe only in Bitcoin and maybe Litecoin. Litecoin has a stable and good price, it is not a dump coin and it wont pump or dump any time soon. Those two are pretty much the only good coins around here.
Ethereum is just a pump and dump coin, no one should use it.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LiteCoin/ ETH mining? on: June 25, 2016, 08:43:31 AM
Forget mining Litecoin on ANY GPU - the best are very far inferior to the ORIGINAL Scypt-capable GC3355 ASIC, and that early ASIC is already unprofitable unless you have free electric.

Your GPU is VERY VERY weak for Ethereum, even if it's a 2GB model - for perspective, the GTX 750ti 2GB only manages 3-4 MH/s ballpark on Ethereum despite being quite a bit more powerfull than the GT730.

Even for gaming that's a pretty weak card - I'd go to at LEAST a GTX 950 (pretty inexpensive and viable for ETH mining at 10-11 MH/s, though more on the basis of decent hash/W ratio not so great on hash/$).

It's a 4 GB graphics card not 2 GB. It can handle almost every game (maybe not unoptimized junk).  What about the CPU?
850  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Discussion]What work would you do for 1$USD per hour? on: June 24, 2016, 09:05:33 PM
I would probably do twitter and translations but for around 2$ per hour(depends on the words translated for the translation job), I can't work on captchas for only 1$ per hour. It's hard and stressful.
I would rather translate or have fun posting and being on twitter/other social media.

852  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a really tiny loan on: June 24, 2016, 04:11:58 PM
I can fund this loan as follows:

Loan amount 0.0025btc
Amount to repay 0.004btc
Date of repayment:  July 4th 2016
Colaterall: This account

Late payments will be an additional .0005 per day.  If the account goes past 5 days being late with no payment or agreeable extension communication, your collateral will be taken for full payment of your account.  If you accept these terms, please say so in this thread and PM me your collateral information.  I will be out of the office for 3-4 hours after this post, so I will fund as soon as I return or if I have a free moment to log into the system.   Please let me know.

I can't do that right now. My campaign payouts aren't high enough to cover almost 2 euros. I can only do it in 2 weeks.
Anyway, I'm locking this until I get a reply on my request in a loan service.
853  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a really tiny loan on: June 24, 2016, 04:04:29 PM
The steam accounts aren't valid collateral , dude. it can be got back by owner easily just by contacting support and telling them it was hacked. So provide another valid collateral if you really look for this loan.
I am asking for one euro dude, I can repay you just off my signature campaign.

I'm looking for taking a really small loan of 0.0025 BTCitcoins.
I will repay as soon as I get the signature campaign payment, because it's my only source of Bitcoin. If I don't get enough funds I'll pay you half on Monday and half on the next Monday.
The reason I'm looking for a loan is I need an euro to buy Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag on Steam which is 4.99 EUR now by the way. I am living in a poor country so I can buy it only by Bitcoin.

My collateral: my Steam account -

steamcommunity.com/id/XiDe20

I will sign a keybase message is needed but I don't think it's necessary for this small loan, but I can do it.

OR

If you want you can buy the Steam acciunt for 0.0025 BTCitcoin.

At least post the link of the account or the account apraise (you can use steamdb for this).
By the way, most members wont accept Steam accounts as a collateral because they can be reversed back to the previous owner (you). And the biggest problem is that your loan request is very high, it isn't small and your rank is Newbie. No one lends a penny to Newbies.

Does this picture work or should I post it a different way?

You should post the direct link to the apraisal rather than a picture with the username drawed over.

Turns out the steam summer sale started today

Yes, it has started and it's awesome. I'm buying Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag for 4.99 EUR  Smiley
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is online gambling legal in your country? on: June 24, 2016, 01:45:41 PM
Honestly, I don't know. I think normal gambling is illegal but I don't know about online and Bitcoin gambling.
My country isn't realy familiar with Bitcoin so they don't know for Bitcoin or Bitcoin gambling. I saw a few Youtubers gamble online (with fiat) so I don't think it's illegal, but I didn't really check, it's just my thought.

860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Calculating fees? on: June 24, 2016, 12:55:23 PM
I think your contradicting yourself here.  With all due respect your telling me im wrong but then explaining that if the network is congested then the fee will go up. Therefore the fee that you pay totally depends on the congestation of the network.  A fee that confirms today does not necessarily mean it will confirm tomorrow if the network has higher congestion and more people are using higher fees.
I didn't contradict myself, I may have improperly expressed myself. I've tried to clarify it with an update.
Let's assume that we have the same amount of congestion in two scenarios (separate events/days). In the first scenario, most fees are in the (e.g.) 10-20 satoshis/byte range. In the second scenario most fees are in the 100-110 satoshis/byte range. As such, scenario 1 would have much lower recommended fees even though scenario had the same amount of congestion. While your statement might not contextually be wrong, it can't stand alone as a completely correct statement. Let me try with a single sentence:

The fee you need to pay depends on how congested the network is
Two events of similar congestion (as 'same' is improbable in practice) can require different recommended fees.

Does that make more sense now?

I am using Official Bitcoin Wallet on Android phone.
Doesn't it have custom fee settings? Are you okay with paying a bit more on default?
I didn't see any custom fee settings. I'll take a look though. I am okay with that but I was curious how can I calculate the fee so I don't send a smaller amount to cover the fees.
