1261  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it really safe to use Electrum? on: April 05, 2017, 03:23:13 AM
You guys think hardware wallet materializes bitcoins? Electrum as to my knowledge is a lite client connected to one or several full nodes and besides it's a free software be grateful.
Packet sniffing? you need to first know what cryptography is, it's called crypto currency for a reason. any data incoming/outgoing with firewall layers protected and are heavily encrypted.

If you don't want to trust any third party then you could use bitaddress.org or any other similar service (coin.dance) in offline mode, generate an address and then save both address and the private key and send your bitcoins to those addresses and for further transfers import in blockchain.info first as a watch only and then when you click on a watch only address in send menu it will ask for private key.

And I think you can use the Core wallet as a lite wallet in latest version, without having to download the whole blockchain. (need confirming)

Also Electrum is a third party and free lite wallet either use it or don't.
1262  Economy / Speculation / Re: This massive price increase in seconds shows us something on: April 05, 2017, 02:53:53 AM
We will always have sharp drops and sharp increases in price with bitcoin, it has been like this since the beginning and only those staying idle and are bystanders will regret, how many times should you see price dropping $200 staying there for 3-7 days and again start to rise back up to make you believe in bitcoin?
Da*n even when price fluctuates 2% you could earn more than $20 trading only 1BTC now imagine the current market with a volume of $400M+ every day, all that will happen certainly isn't crashing but value increased over time year after year.

Even some unpopular altcoins had some unexpected rise in their price now we're talking about bitcoin which is the most popular crypto.
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2MB does nothing at all to fix the real problem on: April 05, 2017, 12:22:12 AM
What is changed in BU software besides removing the block size limit? how could someone attack BU nodes and not Core nodes while the Core rules were in place and obeyed? that shows BU software is something different than what it should be, they've tailored the code to their liking, made it seem exclusive aka closed source.

Anyways as long as the majority (nodes/miners/pools) agrees on any change ( consensus) we should follow the majority as minority always doomed.
1264  Economy / Economics / Re: Cross-Crypto Market Cap Reaches New All-Time High on: April 04, 2017, 10:57:53 PM
The real total market cap of all cryptocurrencies is way more than $27B, while some people believe that it's the opposite, like when you have 10M coin and a price of $1 per coin marketcap.com shows that coin has $10M total market cap and they say that there is no support to back that $10M.

While I'd say if you try to buy all the available supply of a coin (10M as example) you'll definitely end up with $10,000 per coin prices after buying 70% from exchanges.

Solution to avoid paying higher prices than $1 would be to slowly accumulate.

Now we all know that altcoins are being manipulated by a few whales as they own most of those coins supplies and practically control the market, albeit a few people are able to profit large amounts but the common folks end up in a trap (not fit to discuss in this topic).

There is a suspicious buy off with bitcoin going on since the price increase suddenly from $750 to $980+ looks like some governments are accumulating 100 bitcoins at a time or might be some smart investors, anyone selling bitcoin under $2000 is an idiot (I'm one of them).
1265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Selling My House to Buy Litecoin on: April 04, 2017, 10:35:31 PM
I just want to know one thing=> what stops any of you right now to go full on LTC while price is under $10? I could guess the answer: you are waiting for others to risk their money and see if there is really a strong buy support then you'd enter right?
1266  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling Paypal for your btc on: April 04, 2017, 10:07:48 PM
Good to see someone with a lot at stakes putting their reputation on the table after establishing the trust in the community providing such option.
I'd suggest to think about a site with a decent design and fast loading time without any add though then make it an automated process for more convenient and a user friendly service.

As you already know this yourself it is very effective if you advertise your service in a signature campaign.
This is what I like to see, someone first gaining people's trust over time and then do business with them.

I know no one cares but I vouch for him.
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll BitcoinCore(SegWit) vs Bitcoin Unlimited on: April 04, 2017, 09:55:09 PM
First fix the poll, it's not pool and it's "who" not whu also it should be "which one you chose" bitcoin clients aren't people to use who. not that any of our opinions matter but as long as there is only one strong and secure chain and a stable network performance with fast confirmation time and the maximum fee per byte stays 120 sats I really don't care which one.
1268  Economy / Economics / Re: Most Secure Currency to Hold Funds on: April 04, 2017, 07:44:02 PM
If you've bought 1000BTC 2 years ago when price was $300 you'd paid $300,000 and now you could've had more than $1M.

Could you profit that much with gold?
Could you profit that much just holding dollar?

Do you really think an industry with at least $1B invested in mining farms would crash that easy?

As long as miners exist and difficulty keeps on rising bitcoin's price will never crash.

Miners will not intentionally do something like split the network which will greatly damage their own business.

2 years from now when price is well above $2500 you will look back and if not a holder you'll regret why you didn't convert your wealth into bitcoin.
1269  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-29]Roger Ver was suggested to exchange BTC and BTU at one-to one ratio on: April 04, 2017, 12:11:49 AM
I'm shocked to see how the community cares so much about individuals while bitcoin is not for someone to decide what will happen in the future.
They got you all fooled and tried to cause panic dumping but the vigilant and smart supporters/holders saw the plot and countered it.
We should all go with the chain that does everything by the protocol 75%+ consensus.
The moment you give bitcoin a face to reckon with is the end of bitcoin, Satoshi was smart to hide his face from the world.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best option to store BTC in hardfork event. on: April 03, 2017, 11:50:26 PM
First go to bitaddress.org and then disconnect your internet, generate an address and save both address and private key then go to your wallet which holds the funds and send them to the newly generated address and do not touch them under any circumstances and do not spend anything after fork.
Everyone should do this to avoid double spends until BU dies, but I doubt if people can stand not spending their coins twice Cheesy not that they can sell with the double of the current price anyways.

Btw, there will be no hostile takeover hard fork, miners aren't ret*rded to hurt their revenue stream.
1271  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert : Do NOT INVEST in Genesis Mining on: April 03, 2017, 08:47:07 PM
I don't want to take their side but man what a bunch of losers and shills trying to hurt their long gone reputation further more, seems as none of you really understands mining in general, you'll need to add to your hash rate constantly and never sell, mining bitcoin or any other altcoins is not a steady cash flow, it's a gamble orienting closer to a long-term investment, for bitcoin of course it's a sure thing that price will increase while alts are speculative and are more riskier but much cheaper compared to bitcoin.

With the amount required to really profit in cloud mining you'd be better off buying mining gears and start on your own and then you'll see how mining works and will understand the risks involved better.

E.g; you invest $100,000 in ASICs and will start mining then you'll keep accumulating your coins for the next 2-4 years and then if the price already increased more than 300% then you sell all your stash to earn back all your previous expenses and investments.

Unless you could mine a block of bitcoin by only spending $10,000 for hardware and electricity you can still sell 12.5+fees for roughly the amount of $15,000 and not only ROI but profit $5,000.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Crimes, and Terrorism on: April 03, 2017, 08:16:53 PM
Everyone will be judged only and solely by their own actions, if I believe in 2 or more gods/ commit crimes/ steal/ kill/ rape all are considered sins.
Who am I fooling truly? when I die I'll meet my maker and will have to answer only to Him and no one will vouch for me and I'll not be able to blame anyone but myself.
So whatever we do we're the responsible party not strings of codes, you don't go around saying wow see what a miraculous currency/network/alternative (better of the banks) financial instrument this bitcoin is.
ISIS has it's roots in 5 countries and has many believers/followers/supporters/mercenaries/for hire to kill in those countries and they have got their hands on more than $1 Trillion dollars and now you would think they're so desperate to resort to bitcoin? do you really think such activities could be financed with a cryptocurrency which is decentralized by the way and the supply is somewhat fairly/evenly distributed and the whales are publicly known to the world?

You wish if the big players in crimes/ cartels/ terrorism really were using bitcoin as a mean to transfer value, I know BitMixer and other mixers combined have big coin reserves but not to that extent.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Time To Get Painfully Honest: Banks Are Evil on: April 03, 2017, 05:39:27 PM
From the dawn of time humanity desired to master everything, in order for mastery to exist there needs to be slaves so slavery comes to existence.
In a world where God has no place in daily lives of people that's when everyone thinks they're entitled to do whatever they desire lets be painfully honest, if there is no fear of God's judgment and punishment or rewards life would be meaningless, ethics will no longer affect anything, then you think hey I'm gonna live what 80 years? and then die and pooof nothing else, so when I get a hard on I'll penetrate any female or male even if I desire who cares if she's married or under aged.
When I desire to have the best houses/penthouses best cars and essentially best of everything who cares if I help others to enslave 60% of the population and steal whatever the 37% remaining of population has and be one of the minority overlord of 3% mastering the entire world, who cares as long as I desire?

What do you think people want money for? if you can earn enough to provide a medium quality life for you and your family and even have some spare to help a few others but if every one only would've desired that then world would've been a much nicer place.
Most of the people want pu**y and want to make those pu**ies happy and giving, they want to eat and survive that 80-100 years. so the reason behind all the banking system and their operators is their desires.
That is what happens when you remove God from your life/mind/heart, while all He has asked people is to fight with that desire and care for others as much as you want others to care for you.
1274  Economy / Economics / Re: [Manipulation 101] Market cap (to all who love repeating it these days) on: April 03, 2017, 11:55:45 AM
I know right Cheesy if right now you start to buy up every bitcoins available and are offered by traders, called accumulating as well, if current price is $1000 after successfully buying 20K bitcoins with a fixed $1000 per coin then you'll see how fast traders/sellers/holders increase their price which they're willing to sell, long story short if you try to accumulate half a million bitcoins in less than a month you'll end up with a $1150-$1250 averagely.

And from there every 100K coins you try to buy off from the community you can effectively pump the price starting from $1250 up to $1750 and before you could accumulate 1M BTC the price already reached $2500.

However right now only about 2K bitcoins are being mined but the trading volume is more than 150K, yes I know some of it are fake volume and most of it day traders changing hands but someone is slowly accumulating coins in bulks but very slowly to avoid pumping the price and pay more money.

Because if you try to buy 5M bitcoins in matter of a week the price will shoot up to $50,000 per coin, sorry to tell you that if you think $18B marketcap for BTC is not real I've got to tell you that it's true marketcap is way above $500B.

Some people are too greedy with short term visions when it comes to trading their coins no one really should sell under $2000 now they don't get it maybe they're stupid or something, we only have access to roughly 2K bitcoins daily and I won't continue because I don't want to give away such opportunity for free Cheesy but those with a bit of brain know what I'm talking about.
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is everyone? on: April 03, 2017, 11:26:14 AM
All alts have been going on the red but we have a clear winner: LTC.

It has been going up along with BTC which makes it a solid pick.

XRP is going to collapse sooner or later and we will see an higher LTC price.
What makes LTC a good thing that people will suddenly pay attention towards it? if there is anything good and useful in it then why didn't people start to accumulate last year or 2 years ago? it is obvious that there is no fresh money being injected but rather funds are moving from bitcoin into altcoins and again from altcoins back to bitcoin, there is however some money around $2B which is fresh and staying with ETH and I think that is still some whales manipulating and causing hype to exit sharply.
What do you think will happen if all the LTC holders keep holding and refuse to sell under $40? do you really think investors willing to pay that much per coin? bitcoin holders refused to sell at $800-$900 and because of the real demand and strong community with positive thinking price increased, sellers demanded much higher prices and buyers were paying and right now if sellers stay stubborn and insist on price only above $1200 you'll see how market will react and people will start to pay that much.

How much do you think the community is willing to pay for LTC with more than 50M coins already mined?
1276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How i can Start Trading !!!! on: April 03, 2017, 04:29:05 AM
Whenever you see any of the top 10 coins in coinmarketcap with steady and somehow stable price over the course of minimum 10 days put 10% of your cash into buying that coin and completely forget about it until it's price moving upwards.
Like next time you see Iconomi under $0.4 you should go for it because it'll for sure rise above $0.5 again.
Also don't listen to anyone of the trolls in troll boxes/chat boxes in exchanges because they are all shills.
1277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: April 03, 2017, 04:07:12 AM
Actually there shouldn't be any speculation about bitcoin[1] but litecoin though already 50.5M in circulation and even if $1 buck adds to it's price we're talking about a potential of almost $50M one thing I've learned in crypto that either you're too early and as a consequence price is relatively low and mining[2] seems unprofitable or you're too late and that's when price already jumped high people already started to mine and accumulate and difficulty has increased to a point where you can't financially afford it.
What makes you not to buy into LTC/mine it heavily? any coin with a consensus protocol in place like bitcoin should be deemed valuable as much as bitcoin is.

[1]= Bitcoin is all in the open, as you can determine how many coins will be available, as you can determine when and how difficulty will increase, as it was designed to gain more value over time and with the help of community ( if we keep buying and using bitcoin and never stop then more people will join us and if they do the same then BTC will never die, we only need a firm and strong neutral development team).

[2]= Cryptocurrencies, more specifically decentralized coins are to be mined by individuals, I think that's the point of being decentralized.
1278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a member of the Millionaire Club? on: April 03, 2017, 02:52:21 AM
Yes, the key for success is indeed in accumulation, even if you earn 2 bitcoins a day but spend them on anything you like when you see you'll never be able to save for the happy hours (referring to the times when price per bitcoin is well above $5000).
I also own some altcoins as well not the pure scam ones but the ones with future.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Computer hacked , btc stolen .Bitcoin find and recovery software on: April 02, 2017, 08:37:58 PM
Wait a second, what does an installation of a software has anything to do with an exchange balance? did you have your exchange page opened while logged in to your account? all this forum is providing is a link to download the newest bitcoin core wallet, other than that nothing is from forum staff/administrators.
Why didn't you seek guidance from experts in the forum first before downloading anything? you should've tried to do everything manually by yourself before trying to install a software to do it for you.

No one to blame here other than yourself, this forum has no virus.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what bet size do you start with when gambling dice? on: April 02, 2017, 08:14:16 PM
I'd go with 1000-10,000 sats usually but sometimes to trick the house I go 500-5,000 sats and I never use auto bet but rather pay attention to HI-LO and randomly change and select most importantly I care a lot about the client seed and change it regularly also check after each bet if the seed has changed somehow or not, I try to accumulate slowly and lose slowly as well but anyways there is no dicing casino that lets you to use martingale and get away with their money so easily.
