1381  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining fees will eventually kill bitcoin on: March 19, 2017, 08:37:41 AM
Before the 21M bitcoins being totally mined I'm sure till then technology advances enough to fork bitcoin using new methods/technologies.
So ETF was only rejected because of the state of the network 100 years from now?
1382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex Freeze on: March 19, 2017, 07:50:49 AM
Hayssss, what happened in poloniex all coin doesn"'t not moving seems it is DDOS attack, hopefully this maintenace will fix fast because of what happen, all polo users chat angry (not almost angry but just a little bit), Any one knows what happened in poloniex

Hopefully this will as soon as possible

i saw a link to twitter which i think was poloniex twitter on reddit, that said they were under DDoS attack.

although it is up to you whether to believe it or not. i say it is only coincidence once or twice but when it happens every time Ethereum is starting to dump that is no longer coincidence Wink
What are you implying/suggesting here? are they manipulating alt markets such as Ethereum? or they are trying to prevent further dumps?
Bigger the exchange greater the temptation, people really start to think more than being idle with their brains.
1383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back up! (again) on: March 19, 2017, 07:30:51 AM
Currently price is at average $1010 while an hour ago was at $1002 just sit and look like a carrot and be a bystander losing on such great opportunity or be bullish and deposit as much fiat as you can to buy bitcoins to accumulate and sell when price rises to plus $1200 again.
I'm doing exactly the same thing and I think I just caused the $8 bucks increase Cheesy
1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't BTC price eventually rise with mining difficulty on: March 19, 2017, 07:11:13 AM
Actually mining difficulty should have much greater impact on price other than the already psychological impact that it has on determining the market price. if you are buying 1 bitcoin for $1000 then tell me if you can mine 1 bitcoin investing in mining? people often compare things like scarcity and supply and the amount of work required to obtain something and if you can easily obtain bitcoin all by yourself without the need for large investment in mining field then others would never pay $1000 for the coin that you mined by spending $100 or $200.

Tell me how many TH per second is needed to mine 1BTC and the average electricity cost of it?
In my opinion bitcoin is very much cheap and the real price is not yet in sight.
1385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell your bitcoins within a month or two on: March 19, 2017, 06:51:18 AM
This is nonsense speculation, if miners feel like forking will somehow split the network and every chain will only have the 50% of hash power they will not fork because they know the risks and only insane people would do such a thing.
Price right now is at $1002 and I know it will drop further down to $900+ ranges but I hardly doubt if network could maintain it's integrity like before there would be any need for prices lower than $900. so instead of selling this is the time to fill our bags.
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BU + segwit on: March 19, 2017, 06:42:09 AM
What most of you ignore to understand is not whether or not mining is centralized right now, you lack the knowledge about what is centralization and what it means being decentralized. no one should care if mining is in hands of a few but you should care if you ever decided to start mining yourself none of the other few miners could potentially deny you from mining or have a closed source code for mining or could shut you down at will.

Can you right now buy 100K S9 miners and start mining dozens of blocks each day or not? if you can then bitcoin is practically decentralized.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you login to a gambling site with Twitter, Google or Facebook Id? on: March 19, 2017, 06:23:42 AM
When you link your social media accounts you are relying on the security of those accounts and when it comes to google which is a giant multi national company why not letting them to deal with the safety hassles?
1388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is magnetism a gravitational radiation? on: March 19, 2017, 05:54:16 AM
It's a force field invisible one, gravity depends on mass magnetism not, sun is a giant magnet as well it has a great gravitational pull which surrounds it like a sphere, actually everything with a mass has that invisible sphere around it and if too much weigh concentrated in a tiny spot in space it can punch a hole into the fabric of time-space.
Magnetic pull is a force field just like gravity but they are not the same thing.
There is nothing in contact with other things really when looking into the atomic scale of matter, when you touch a key on keyboard there is actually no contact made just the electromagnetic force field of your finger's atoms pushing against the key's atoms.

All of this is truly mind blowing, if you look at atoms you'll see that most of the space inside them is empty and when you look at their cores you'll see smaller particles forming the core but they also in term made of mostly empty space.
When you weigh something it doesn't really have any mass but the energy(force field) pushing outward the invisible sphere creates weigh just like when you blow into a balloon.

All of the scientific explanations behind what I mentioned are beyond the scope of this post and even human mind Cheesy
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin unlimited? on: March 18, 2017, 05:27:30 AM
Yes price of BU and BTC both drops first by 50% and then the strong chain will eventually recover back on track. seems like market is reacting with strong stance opposing BU.
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another miserable alt BTU on: March 18, 2017, 04:40:21 AM
When you are driving a car and your clutch doesn't work/pump oil to smoothly neutralize the gearbox you could force the gear down but it will damage the gearbox, while segwit is the oil bitcoin unlimited is the dry gear down.
I wonder if network splits who can keep competing with BU power over the network? wouldn't that become a central network overpowered by BU miners?
I imagine then the Core chain will activate SW and difficulty will decrease by half which opens many doors for the ones who were late to join mining and after a 6 months of mining it will grow back and we could see which chain was a success, this only a set back but not a total failure.
1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: PLEASE HELP.. I sent a transaction with a 2.5 BTC transaction fee on: March 18, 2017, 03:55:22 AM
This is just a happy coincident or what now really? that a newbie sends out a transaction with such a high fee and with the miracle timing the all moral and honest antpool mining the block with that TX and even pays from pocket just to come out of all this as a hero.

1393  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened? on: March 17, 2017, 08:28:26 AM
I agree in blockchain.info navigation really sux it seems as you need to look for the thing that you want not in the header or the footer of the site but somewhere in between, links to unconfirmed transactions/double spends/orphan blocks/big transactions/popular addresses, etc shouldn't be in any page but rather in both header and footer of all the pages. I hate that cat when you type something like /Transactions that cat pops up saying "I didn't touch anything" Cheesy
I shouldn't have to manually type blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions in the address bar of my browser they need at least to include these things in a drop down menu again in header and footer of website.
1394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Binary Options The Same as Trade? on: March 17, 2017, 08:13:37 AM
Right now is the perfect time to trade in binary option with bitcoin price since it's going down it shouldn't be so hard to predict further drops.
If you hesitate in opportunities such as this you'll end up with nothing. so far I've earned $850 betting on price going down.
1395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: March 17, 2017, 07:49:57 AM
I don't get it, how can you expect to earn a profit if you are not willing to risk your money? however in the world that we live in if you could for instance earn 10% pure profit just by risking $500 you are not going to be so lucky when you want to risk $500M. I believe people would've better chances if they stick to small amounts in trading.

On the other hand if you pay enough attention to the bitcoin industry you'll be shocked to see that bitcoin was intentionally designed for the increase of value over time, I doubt if you could find something similar.
1396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: March 17, 2017, 07:35:11 AM
Imagine you buying 100BTC at $1000 and then give it to bank to receive $5000 every month as your interest and even before 1 month is over price rises to $1100 and that right there is $10,000 growth of your initial investment but that won't matter now since you invested your coins in the bank for a fixed interest rate.

No one willing to risk the loss of funds, not you as bitcoin holder that will never give your coins to a bank for a fixed interest rate and not the imaginary bank will do business taking the dollar value of bitcoin and same time allowing you to withdrawal your bitcoins even if you will give them the monthly payments back.

Will you deposit the coins that you bought at $1000 for 6 months to receive 20% yearly interest depending on the market price? if price drops and goes lower than $900 then the entire payout system of the bank should recalculate to pay you less money. but if price jumps to $1500 will they recalculate your monthly payment by increasing it? I don't think so.

Then if you want to just deposit fiat or deposit bitcoin but be treated like fiat then why even bother to deposit with bitcoins at all?
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos: "Segwit is enough, gets us 2MB+, is ready, and is safer" on: March 17, 2017, 03:46:20 AM
BU is a hostile takeover of the network, SW is from the same devs working for years and the recent incident about BU nodes shows that BU didn't just change the block size limit but they changed other things as well.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: March 17, 2017, 02:08:10 AM
When you invest in a casino there is no way to find out whether real players won big or not and I think that is why most of the gambling services are not that much successful when it comes to investment rate.
On topic, if a newbie announces an online casino it is most likely scam attempt.
If an online casino doesn't have any signature campaign in this forum=not being serious about their business and most likely scam attempt.

Provably fair is only provable to people with enough math knowledge not provable to everyone, so that is not something I'd look for as legitimacy indication.
1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: March 17, 2017, 01:48:43 AM
Bitcoin has no competition so far because it has been so hard to change things in the code and if you could find anything similar to bitcoin's code and with the same development then I think you have found it's competitor.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A call to arms: Everyone to run a Core node! on: March 16, 2017, 01:23:35 AM
Now look who is using buzzword such as "diversity" man did Satoshi diversified when presented bitcoin? of course it should only run on 1 software(Core) as it was intended from the start, open source right? means people first see/check the code and then decide to use it which everyone did and are doing, I agree that a backup generator(just in case of failure) is needed but only when you find a flaw in a software version you create another one with a fixed until the main(Core) fix their running software with the consensus mechanism and then go back to the main system discarding your temporary built version.

And then until the next bug/problem/flaw if found everyone should run one software version without worrying about whole system shut down because you know the backup old version nodes I mentioned? they can engage just as a backup until again the main version is fixed by consensus.

You shouldn't go and take that backup software version and change other things of your interest and try to take over with a hostile approach.

Some simple example; if the following is main version
Code:
if (!nverify_flags(flags)) {
        nreturn bitcoinconsensus_ERR_INVALID_FLAGS;
    }
    try {
        TxInputStream stream(SER_NETWORK, PROTOCOL_VERSION, txTo, txToLen);
        CTransaction tx(deserialize, stream);
        if (nIn >= tx.vin.size())
            return set_error(err, bitcoinconsensus_ERR_TX_INDEX);
        if (GetSerializeSize(tx, SER_NETWORK, PROTOCOL_VERSION) != txToLen)
            return set_(, bitcoinconsensus_TX_SIZE_MATCH);
back up should be fixed like this;
Code:
if (!verify_flags(flags)) {
        return bitcoinconsensus_ERR_INVALID_FLAGS;
    }
    try {
        TxInputStream stream(SER_NETWORK, PROTOCOL_VERSION, txTo, txToLen);
        CTransaction tx(deserialize, stream);
        if (nIn >= tx.vin.size())
            return set_error(err, bitcoinconsensus_ERR_TX_INDEX);
        if (GetSerializeSize(tx, SER_NETWORK, PROTOCOL_VERSION) != txToLen)
            return set_error(err, bitcoinconsensus_ERR_TX_SIZE_MISMATCH);
Not going rogue and change whatever you want. yes we only need 1 main version(Core).
