81  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 18, 2023, 09:11:01 AM
It will always not go into our plan as life is very unpredictable. Maybe you plan to put 10% of your monthly salary into Bitcoin but this month you haven't as you'll need to pay some hospital bills. No matter what you'll do to stick to your plan there will be circumstances in which it won't allow you. That is where we need to sacrifice or modify it. That's happened to me mostly this year. There's tons of unexpected stuff that needs to go through but what's important is that you won't forget your plan. Maybe you'll delay it now but make sure you'll take it in the future when it allows you.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: November 15, 2023, 03:36:45 PM

There should always be that kind of limitation on which it would really be just that normal that we would really be that having those kind of privacy specially on things that arent meant to be shared.
We do know that there are things life which needs to be private on which even our loved ones wont really be that anytime to know on what we are dealing with.
Family is always family and there is no two ways about it when it comes to things of this nature. One can be able to hide things from their friends but not from family as it would definitely not be easy to do if one try it. Actually, with respect to keeping things private to ones self, it is true that one can do that but at some point, one can no longer keep that particular thing a secret to oneself because at some point it would be obvious that you yourself knows it is time you say something about it to a trusted confidant for instance your spouse or son or your brother but let it be a trusted one that you can trust information to and he or she keeps it a secret no matter what happens down the lane.

On the other hand yes maybe you can tell about your gambling activities to one of your closest people who of course like you said on condition that they must be trusted in order to keep this secret, but on the other hand in my opinion you should not only tell it but also find the best solution to overcome your problems such as trying some actions to reduce or even stop, because after all the best thing is when you can get out of this activity so as not to cause any problems later.

Telling someone about your gambling lifestyle is not bad so far as the person knows how to respect boundaries and keeping secrets as the case maybe between the both of them. If you feel like telling someone about it, then it must be that person you trust enough to keep it to him or herself. However getting out of it, you must be prepared to do it because it wouldn't be that easy as you think it is as it has to do with addiction which has become part of the gambler lifestyle and would need some approach to gradually divert the mind of the gambler to another thing.

This really indicates that we are in an era where we are scared of what people will say to us when we gamble because they do not understand why we do gamble, which does not mean that we are addicted to it. Sharing with your friends about your gambling activities is kind of useless if they don't gamble because they can't relate, but it might be good if you just want to share it with them. For myself, I prefer sharing it with those who do gamble also as you are sure that they will keep it secret because they can relate to it.
83  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 13, 2023, 01:00:40 PM

Exactly, that's what I was trying to say in my last post, this initiative will serve as an inspiration or a spark so other people will try to do the same thing even if there are different cause that they want to be doing it. Like a small spark in a dry grassland, hopefully QuitGamble will be that spark that's going to ignite a wildfire.
It is not easy to quit but with their help and people surrounds us? Am sure this will spread and may help as many gamblers in the world.
thanks to this team and the others that will go forward to do the same thing as how this works.
would love seeing this taking in action and serving addicted gamblers in the near future.

There will be people who will criticize those kinds of acts as they always see the bad sides. Even those people may say that it is still within ourselves which is true, but this kind of nonprofit organization will spark your motivation to stop those addiction habits which others may not understand, but this kind of organization is the biggest factor to help you quit gambling. This kind of organization needs to be supported and not criticized, let them do their doings as if they aren't doing something bad to others.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you cope with those around you not believing in you for choosing Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2023, 11:42:11 AM
I would always think that they weren't the ones feeding me and my family, so I would stop talking or keep my distance from them as it is very toxic. If they can't understand what you are doing or can't support you then it is better to stay away from those kinds of people. Always think that if your investment in Bitcoin is successful and you make a lot of money for sure those people will congratulate you and guess what they will ask money from you. Leave them as you can't gain any positive things from them.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Out of curiosity, how much you wagered recently? on: November 09, 2023, 01:01:12 PM
We can compete if we have those kind of money to gamble but there are people that do not want to compete in those kind of events because they have a risk that if you lose, you'll be sleeping in the sidewalk or they just don't have that amount. I don't want also to join in this kind of stuff but if we do have tons of money trillions and we don't know how to spend it then for sure it will be easy to win those kind of stuff. But why this kind of event takes place is this for boasting or for fame in social media?
86  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: November 08, 2023, 12:40:07 PM
Some casinos do not explain KYC and detailed requirements for withdrawals, so some users will be surprised if the withdrawal requirements must be KYC verified and the withdrawal value limits are high, this condition occurs in scam casinos because the casino team deliberately makes rules that make it difficult for users and the casino team will take over the account you to withdraw your funds, so make sure you register an account with a trusted reputable casino so that you don't worry about misuse of KYC data because they have a license that can be accounted for to monitor activities at that casino.
Shouldn't that be the casino's responsibility to tell the players that if they're planning to cash out, that they're going to have to follow their KYC policy? Plus, isn't it the best time if the casinos grow up too in terms of advertising? Lying about their operations can only work so long and with more people knowing how to think for themselves, deceptive advertising days should be numbered because there's a lot of option out there to choose from when it comes to honesty in casino so it's not incentivized in the long-term if you engage in that kind of advertising.

Each casino may have their own way of making such an information, some do not need to keep repeating on it or set a reminder about it when they already have stated such on their ToS, at least for an average gambler who understands his way should know that kyc gambling casinos will definitely demand for them going through the process at anytime, not asking at the point of registration isn't a barrier, if there's also a change in it, they would have communicated such through our contact or display such on the profile as information.

All of the key information are in ToS. It is just the customer or the gambler who is not reading it. It is not the casinos duty to keep reminding the gambler to do KYC as upon registration it was already stated on their ToS and the problem with that is we didn't read it. It is better to skim through it or head over to the FAQ section as mostly you can find an answer on it. I wouldn't call it also false advertising as it was just a marketing material to attract new gamblers and it ain't stated that it is a completely KYC-free, mostly in the registration that you can register without doing a KYC-right-a-way.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your own casino. on: November 06, 2023, 03:58:21 AM
Ive also planned it but it was like in the year 2017-2018 this is where a lot of not-licensed casinos are popping out and there are tons of gamblers but I haven't pushed through because of the competition. Also youll need to invest in marketing and later on youll need to have a license. Youll need to start with a huge bankroll at the start and it is exempt from other operational costs so it is not easy to run.Though right now I still dream of it but I am not pursuing it as there are tons of huge casinos right now and gamblers want those established ones.
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you any of pump groups or Channel ? on: November 05, 2023, 01:57:57 PM
I also don't understand why you keep joining those scam groups as it is easy to predict that they just want to scam you. They can only pump those low market cap coins and I don't see any benefit in it that is only a show-off. Newbies mostly close their ears and common sense when it comes to this kind of thing. They always think that they can gain profit that easily which leads to discovering it for themselves. You won't learn a lesson unless you experience it but at least we warned you.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: November 03, 2023, 02:19:20 PM

That's right, so if you've managed to get a win then it's better to leave, I'm also always like that, leave and then enjoy the money from the winnings and leave a little for gambling next time.
Have you ever felt like you still really want to play after getting a big win? Of course this is the most common feeling experienced by every gambler, including me. I of course know that by stopping and exiting I can avoid the possibility of losing or losing my winnings, but it's not always easy to control my urges especially if I really think that this is a lucky day for me.

Going out and enjoying the win is wise advice, but I have to admit it's never easy. Some gamblers have to be willing to lose all their winnings just because they don't want to stop after winning something, it's definitely greed but that's the reality. IMO, many gamblers don't have good control even if they have put together the best possible plan.

Yes for that problem I also understand, it is quite difficult to get out and go to secure the winning money when we still really want to play, I also said it was just the conclusion of the better thing to do, and not that I also always managed to do it. I say it's greed that's pretty hard to avoid when you're at a high level of confidence after winning, maybe most of them will continue playing in the hope that hopefully they can get a much bigger win, but I say the end result will not always match friends, although yes there are some who may be very lucky and manage  to get it but usuallly the end result is always disappointing when we bring greed.

That is indeed quite wise advice as I said above, I also understand doing it will not be as easy as turning the palm of the hand, but at least they know that this is indeed the best way as one of the most effective ways of prevention. I just hope that this statement can make one of them especially those who read my statement can consider well, although it is quite difficult but I think there is no harm if they try once in a while and then get used to it, it will be very useful.

The reason why many gamblers are very reluctant from cashing out after huge winnings and would prefer to keep playing is because they do feel that for them to win massively that day, it means that it's their lucky day to win so it'll be better to keep playing and winning more instead of cashing out.
However, sometimes, in their quest to win more, they tend to lose everything they have initially won and which some people do tag greed. So in my own opinion, I think it's better to cash out and enjoy the winning instead of staying back and playing more

It is really a greed if you see that you are winning already big and still continue to play as you want to win more this is kind of you wanting to get all the money of the casino and make them bankrupt which you cant. That is really the problem when greediness struck you as you've already out of control. That is why it is better to think negatively like before betting thinking that it has a possibility that you'll lose it all so it is better to cash it out so that you won't be losing any.

91  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 01, 2023, 01:23:29 PM
Owning a credit card is tempting you to buy those things even you cant afford it in cash. I know there is nothing wrong with it but you will tend to buy useless things. I am living in a country where if you have a credit card you are in the middle class to the rich and most of what I've heard is that they have a credit card for credit score because of discounts and take out big loans but for me it is still better paying in cash mostly if I want to buy stuff and not tempted to buy it using a credit card.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 31, 2023, 12:22:20 PM

I only site the place where tradition still remain the same, rural areas where women still depend on their husband and nothing else, though there's true from your statement as the growing society are now well-aware and practising equality, those who are in the place where freedom is already enjoyed those numbers of successful persons dictates that they are moving as how Mens works and casino places are no difference, as long as you can bring money there's no problem on it from the casino owners.
Yeah environment contributes a lot to how gambling is perceived in general and how there decline in women's participation most of the Muslim countries around the world have strong rules against gambling with some going as far as giving a life sentence or others severe legal punishment for unregulated gambling,  but then I haven't seen any of those countries having a specific law that restrict women from gambling and at some point this is an important part of the investigation that we need the raw fact to determine and be able to mentioned countries/regions that have such harsh laws against women as compared to the men.

You're all on point, if a woman should as well finds herself in an environment that is gambling enabled then there's this probability that she may also developed interest in gambling because it's what she often see people doing everyday and as we know about environmental influence, it can change people and create a lifetime change in them, some religious countries may not even have tolerance for women in gambling nor see their men gambling as well because they believe it's an illegal means of making money at the expense of other.

It is not only women all of us will be affected. Environment is the biggest factor when getting into gambling. Just imagine if the person doesn't know what gambling is if she hasn't heard and seen it in her environment for sure she will not get interested in it right? But because she saw it from other people or even online that would be the time they would try. Though women are still human same with men they have more control than men as they always anticipate the future but still as humans we will be the same as men who got addicted to gambling.
93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: October 30, 2023, 04:32:53 AM
The risk remains and there could be some ways to lessen the risk but it's gonna stay there as you've said.
But unfortunately, many new traders seem to ignore this and it will actually increase the risks. Sometimes, they even ignore the risks because they feel very confident that they will get high profits from what they place when doing future trading. In fact, future trading will never be free from risk. And honestly, it is quite difficult to minimize risk, especially if we still don't really understand the various appropriate strategies when trading.
It's for them to experience that, if they're not going to notice the risk that they will take, it could pay them a lot.
Those that are not used to futures much better not to get involved on it. Or if they want to try, just do it as if you're gonna lose the money no matter what happens.

Spot and futures trading both have risks. In the futures you'll need more knowledge compared to the spot but that doesn't mean that spot trading is easy because as others said buy low sell high but without any knowledge you'll lose. Also in the futures even if you have the fundamentals like a learning indicator you still do not have a 100% winning percentage so both of them have risks and only to lessen them with experience and knowledge.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 29, 2023, 10:11:31 AM
Most of the grown up people do not live with parents. At such, the parents are not aware about the interests and habits of individuals. Do you parents know that you gamble ? What was their first reaction towards your gambling habit ?

I dont live with my parents now but before when I used to I do say to them that I bet on sports  mostly in finals which they are okay with and nothing wrong with as it is my money. Mostly those parents that won't accept their child doing gambling are those parents that are very religious because it is a sin to them but luckily for me it is okay for my parents but still they gave me advice about the risk of gambling which I understood.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 28, 2023, 12:03:24 PM
Big houses, there are more than 1 car and they are earning huge money that even their huge spending they still have extra money. Thats my perspective of rich people having all the assets that an average person finds hard to obtain, and mostly their salary or let's say their income is 10x the average person's salary. I do live in a 3rd world country, and this is what I noticed in my neighbors so it is very easy to distinguish those kinds of people from middle-class or poor people by taking a look on their houses and what car they are driving.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 27, 2023, 12:03:40 PM
Question for all you guys who consider yourselves to be veterans within the gambling world.
Do you think you would be able to spot a fake gambling  streamer from an actual streamer who would be wagering their money in a casino (no sponsorships or fake credits of any kind) ?

To be honest, I do not think I could spot the difference, though I would try to find over-exaggerated reactions to losses and unnatural underwhelming reactions to wins. But a good actor could always fool someone like me, who is not used to watching streamers for hours and hours in a row.

What you guys think?
Would you be willing to bet on you spotting the fakers?

I don't claim to be a veteran in the gambling world but what I mostly notice about those fake streamers is that their reactions the way they bet and the way they react to losses or winnings are very different. You could really see the difference between a fake and one that is not affected by the losses. I just recalled when after the pandemic there were tons of videos in  social media that in the end they were playing in a casino and the way they won some money was some sort of fake. They were laughing but you could recognize that it was scripted but I am not saying all but there are this kind of streamers.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin? on: October 26, 2023, 11:49:28 AM
How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin ?
It will be a good news and many bitcoiners will be millionaires and billionaires. I will be very much glad and smiling because I will use that period to complete my projects and life will change to good. But for bitcoin to reach that is still far. And for now we are predicting the price range to be $70k to $80k based on the previous ATH of 2021.  Though that price of $1 million of bitcoin is achievable but not now. It is a higher expectation for years to come.

This would be great news for sure and all of us who have Bitcoin will be in a good situation. I am not the same as others who could make themselves millionaires in terms of fiat but I would be in a situation where I could pay off all of my debt and probably build our own house. Though $1 million is too far probably it will happen in the next generation and most of us cannot witness it since there is a probability that this will happen before the last halving of Bitcoin. Let's just focus more now on the most achievable price like achieving the next ATH and let's accumulate more Bitcoin as Halving is fast approaching.
98  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 25, 2023, 12:27:42 PM
That's a classic move. They would only advertise the good sides, not the bad ones. Apart from everything, KYC is mandatory when it comes to casinos. That's how they check if the money is coming from a legitimate source or not. One thing I don't like is that they won't ask for KYC when registering, but when one tried to withdraw the money, they would demand KYC. And of course, they can block your account on suspicious grounds, which stinks. If you are concerned about doing KYC, then check properly before registering whether they require KYC or not.

That is one of their marketing strategies to attract new gamblers so that they will sign up and think that there is no KYC but after a few days when they withdraw their winnings that is when they get a problem. If you are willing to do KYC then there are no problems but if not then what will happens to your winnings? It will stay there meaning that is now casino money. Great strategy to those casino owners and you are right they can control your account and give you false accusations so that you cannot withdraw your winnings.
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 24, 2023, 01:43:16 PM
Really? Though I really don’t fancy taking signals from anyone but if they’ve got a good previous record that means it worth trying.
Are you serious? Do you still believe anything you see on the internet or what you hear people say? How sure are you that those trading signals are real and that those records are not fabricate? I don’t trust most of the things I see on internet. Since you don’t fancy trading signals, it’s just better that you do your your analysis yourself and don’t depend on anyone before you will be able to make a decision on your own.

This is mostly what those new traders fall into because they want to join a signal group and they see some kind of video that won one trade then they are already convinced that they will join and what worse is subscribing to their VIP and paying money to them. That is the problem if they just saw those kinds of advertisements they would then take the bait and not think that it was just part of their sketchy business. They should always ask themselves why they are still doing it if they could have a 100% winning percentage on the trade.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your doubt has no effect on gambling. on: October 23, 2023, 12:26:14 PM
You've got a point, a very, very good point. If you're playing every day, losing, and digging deep into your pockets, it's a disaster, a total disaster. But, if you're smart, really smart, like some of the best businessmen I know, you can turn it around. Casinos are about fun, pure fun, and nothing but fun. They're not charity organizations, folks! They're in it to win it, just like in business. The house always, always has the advantage. Always

This is really where most gamblers fall they see the casino as a charity, thinking they are giving money out of their bets or making it their job to put food on the table. It is always a business and you know why there are tons of people setting up this kind of business? Because it is profitable as there are tons of gamblers that fall into that habit and worse go broke on it. The only solution is to control and treat gambling as a fun way to kill our time and nothing else so that you won't be expecting something and it will then have a chain effect on you financially.
