141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in the front page of the IMF website as the currency of the future on: June 14, 2018, 07:25:31 PM
I didn't forget that..
There's a picture on the front page of the IMF website with the monkey-to-human evolution picture where the human has a floating BTC above his palm

Very strong signal, this means BTC is here to stay.

http://www.imf.org/external/index.htm

You can say it's within the context of the cover of an article of their journal - yes it is.

But it is still a "Bitcoin is the future" message on their front page.

I want to believe this is misrepresentation of facts. An organisation like IMF, I don't expect them to just take a decision like that and go public with it. Its just too early. I can still accept the exhortation of the blockchain technology which every organizations have no other option than to accept the ingenuity of that but because its difficult to separate blockchain from bitcoin, that could be the reason why reference is made to bitcoin.
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Eid Mubarak Affect Bitcoin Value ? on: June 14, 2018, 05:49:31 PM
A week ahead of the end of Ramadan, the value of 1 bitcoin is still above 7000 thousand USD, but closer to Ied Mubarak, bitcoin value continues to fall close to 6000 USD?

For those who know and analyze, please explain the factor?

This is another direction to look at things because this period would surely affect businesses both positive and negative especially Muslims. Alcohol businesses, bars, casinos would surely take a hit whereas fruit businesses, groceries would see huge improvement in their businesses. The effect on bitcoin is not something huge enough because it has already been regarded as against Islamic teachings until recently when I read some article in support so maybe because the message has not spread that bitcoin is not against Islam, Muslims decides to stay away for now.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold & Silver are safe than bank deposits ?? on: June 14, 2018, 08:21:01 AM
I think now fixed deposit interest rates are less than 5% p.a in USA and Europe. In India fixed deposit rates are 6.5%.

Gold and Silver gives average profit of 8% to 12% per year. Silver will most likely give 20% to 30% profit each year from here on to reach $60/ounce.

Example:

Profit for gold and silver for year 2016 is 12%.

Profit for gold and silver for year 2017 is 0%

Profit for gold and silver for year 2018 is 8%

Profit for gold and silver for year 2019 is 16%

So average profit for 4 years is +9%

How secured/safe are investments in gold and silver if you decide to remove/withdraw your money from banks fixed deposits and invest them in Gold and silver ??

Yes looking at the returns on the average, its seems investing in gold and silver would bring in more returns than fixed deposits. But when it comes to investment decisions, its not just based on quantitative factors alone. Rather some other factors are at play which would include the following.

While the interest on gold and silver is higher, the degree of certainty is not as high for fixed deposit which then appeal to the attitude to risk of the decision maker. In the case that the individual is risk averse, the decision is going for fixed deposit compared to someone who is attracted to risk.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electronero And The Forks of Today on: June 14, 2018, 05:12:26 AM
I may not have much say here but I think it is fairly easy to assume that forks and coin rip-offs are a concern in the crypto community.

Firstly-  A fork that gives coins for free because you owned the original coins doesn't make sense.   If you believed in the new coin shouldn't you sell the original to buy the new? Or maybe a trade option to trade original coins for the new fork?

Greed.  Free money?  That is what they want but No.  Free Money doesn't exist, instead it takes from others in some way or another. I was banned from the Electronero telegram and twitter.  I used no profanities and no baseless insults which has been prevalant in Electroneum itself but tolerated because the proof is in the pudding. The Electronero WP did nothing but bash the Electroneum devs.   What stuns me is they obviously want to benefit from them.  Otherwise they would just bounce off the Monero code and make their own coin. Electroneum is less then a year old so a fork like that is ridiculous.   Electroneum was the only ICO I believed in and have had no problems with them.  In fact the mobile miner has attracted over 150k miners at ONE time.  The mass adoption goal is being accomplished so Electronero cannot claim that is their goal if they just try to steal the already large user base of Electroneum.   Create your own adoption instead of trying to convert others. The heart of this also includes Bcash.  At least Bcash didn't try to fork BitCoin 8 months after development.  If I am not allowed to try to get more perspective from the Electronero Devs instead of an instant ban for asking a question then this is a bad coin.  So, every owner of Electroneum that happened to do the things necessary to recieve these ETNX coins take a look at things. The ETNX team is just milking what Electroneum already did with a roadmap that says "1st anniversary suprise".  That is the road map guys. A suprise, meaning we will all be suprised if these coins sell for more than .00000001 Doge.  Meanwhile taking advantage of the newbies to crypto as ETN has attracted many to this new financial system.

Rant Over.

The "fork" option for coins has given most developers just an avenue to create unlimited number of their coins without the original getting to the end of its potential. I am surprised when I see a coin launched less than six months and people are already talking about coin forgetting what even happened before the first popular fork happened last year and the surrounding circumstances to that effect. What this led to is outright polarising of the ecosystem defeating the key characteristics of limited supply.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I do not panic when the market falls on: June 13, 2018, 08:08:15 PM
For some reason I am sure that the price of the crypto will rise, so I hold it, I did not see any analyst who did not have the same opinion as I do, but thing that motivates me the most — is when I start comparing the whole current situation with the Dot-com bubble, the fact is that this bubble busted reaching 6 trillion dollars, the crypt reached only 830 billion jet, in its peak. During Dot-com bubble only middle and rich class had opportunity to invest but not all, in the crypto everybody can invest, regardless of country and day time and it also can be done anonymously from jour home computer, so I think that this is all just the beginning and the real bubble is yet to come, it is not known when it will come — in five or 10 years, but I hope that I it will.

I actually don't see anything wrong in panicking as we are human and there is need to exercise some emotions but what one should learn is not to be ruled by such emotion as that at most times ended up being wrong decision. I am also optimistic that price will rise again because I don't have any other option than to just do that as I don't have any amount kept somewhere for me be ruled by emotions because of the gradual loss of value witnessed in this past couple of days.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are altcoin dumping hard at the moment on: June 13, 2018, 06:26:51 PM
Bitcoin and altcoin are on a downward trend as the moment, there is  No FUD or negative news at the moment yet everything is going down. What could be the cause of this?

I think those time when prices drop, the real reason is not the FUD or the negative news but rather the reaction of market participants to those news and now that there is no identifiable news to support FUD hypothesis, the only thing constant in the two circumstances is the reaction of people I.e we that are the active participants, what are we doing in salvaging the current situation? Are we going to keep complaining and look for answers where there is none or in our own individual way do things to change the situation.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can i join any bounty and any time? on: June 12, 2018, 07:44:52 PM
BTC
I am newbie user of this forum.i have learned that I can make some coins by using social media. these campaigns are mostly running from week 1- week 10.so I am thinking about to join some campaign at the time of week 6 or week 7.can I join?
if not then tell me how can I know about the new campaign.
thanks and advance
[/b]BTC

Depending on which one you are actually looking to join though. If you have huge followers the the timing by joining in week 6 or 7 is alright because you can still get a decent stake if you join and also give you the opportunity to have understudy and be sure you will be getting paid but if its through signature campaign, you have to join way early because of your rank as that would be only way you would be guaranteed something decent at the end of the campaign.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the bull market coming? on: June 12, 2018, 05:32:40 PM
The bull market will no longer come.In the last two days, all cryptocurrencies have dropped sharply. Most people have been disappointed and have left this market.

Its perfectly normal to have this kind of feeling at this time when the red is a solid one. Its expected that a lot of money bags would want to take a retreat from the market at this time until the situation improves but if every one decide to that that, then there won't be anyone left in the market to wait for the good time coming but if we all stay, in due time the green will reappear and we can enjoy it together.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Got ICO Tokens. Need money, any advice? on: June 12, 2018, 11:10:25 AM
hello guys,

I've got paid with ICO tokens. Tokens are in my wallet. I was saving money for a surgery for "baby issues"  and i tought i might sell these tokens. The token is not listed in any exchange atm. Do you have any advice about how can i sell them ?

You have just been taught patience which is what you signed up for by default when you decide to join the campaign and I am glad for you that you got paid a lot of other campaigns just leave without fulfilling their promise to those they owe it to. Even if you manage to sell, I doubt if it will be enough for you to meet your needs because you will be selling at a discounted price to someone who knows the project and believes its best to hold and acquire more. My suggestion is to source for the money needed somewhere else and wait till when the token will be listed on an exchange platform.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell now and save some little of your money. on: June 12, 2018, 11:06:06 AM
Silver price has gone up +1% every week for past 6 months and it is going to $50/ounce slow and steadily. Buy Silver if you have less money.

Profits from Gold, Silver and Bitcoin will be the same after 5 years when you see Bitcoin falls -$800 in 2 hours.

This your analysis is really worth paying attention to. However, there are some of serious exaggeration in your statement. While its true that silver has been experiencing some steady growth over the past 6 months, its not an indication that its going to remain like that in the nearest future. And also, saying biitcoin price would drop to $800 in the next 2 hours is way over the line which I believe its practically impossible feat to get to despite the series of challenges waging at this point of time.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Panic selling. on: June 12, 2018, 06:25:06 AM
How do panic selling affects the market and why does it affects the coins value?

Price at this point is sitting on the edge of lever but what panic selling does is to push it down on the negative which means the whatever the people manipulating the price are doing, they are only setting the act in motion while the majority of those who cause the causality are the ones that act on impulse then push the price further down. That is not even the annoying part but the part is they still go round and blame others for the woes that is happening without knowing that what they cause is more than those they heap the blame on.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Market red every currecny, BTC below 7k why? on: June 11, 2018, 07:02:40 PM
Please experts tell, why market red in every currency and why BTC below 7k?

If people know the answer to the this question, the number of people on the forum would reduced drastically. The reason why a lot of people are here is to check if someone would provide the answer and I am not even sure if someone who knows truly will want to say it because that is the key to unlimited riches. My advise, rather than looking for answers on how the market is the way it is, more interesting and profitable to make more returns out of the current situation which is what I believe a lot of people ade using as a form of consolation.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: My Piece of Advice to Bounty and Airdrops Participants on: June 11, 2018, 06:15:49 PM
Hi everybody, as we all know that airdrops and bounties are scattered everywhere., and we dont have any assurance if this project would give us benefits for promoting those tokens and bounties. My only point of view before you promote those bounties is that make sure you read all the necessary informations on their websites, the whitepaper, the roadmaps, and the team behind it. Some people are trying to make an offering for ICO and at the end of the day, it will go scam, and we as a member in their promotion team, we can also be blamed by some investors. So before promoting anything, make a study first and be more vigilant, because this concerns the money of the people.

Exactly, the point the moment we start sharing part of the blame and started feeling some sense of responsibility for a coin that went scam, the better we start cleaning up the crypto space. I was part of a campaign sometimes ago and although I didn't read all of the things as suggested by Op, but immediately, I realize the real nature of the project, I just pulled out because I can't live with myself with the understanding that someone got scammed and I contributed to it. That's self consciousness.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you should look for before Investing in Cryptocurrencies on: June 11, 2018, 04:22:11 PM
If its by the popular coins, then no one would need to do any due diligence because for those coins to be adjudged popular, they must have passed series of test but the concern is about those unknown coins which abounds the crypto space that gets listed on exchange sites everyday without any end. These are the ones that needs to be scrutinized before any investment is made what so ever.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Listing on crypto exchanges on: June 11, 2018, 01:12:10 PM
When contributing to an ICO how important it is to have a company planning or already enlisting in an exchange?
Do you invest in the ICO because you believe into an ICO or just speculating on the coin price rise?

Its hard to separate the two and there is nothing wrong in having both as objectives in investing in a coin what separates the believer of the project and the individual who invest for speculative purposes is the timing they both decide to sell their stakes and nothing else. Both of then would eventually sells in other to get return on their investments while the speculator is after immediate release on the exchange so he can cash out and move on, the believer is waiting to cash out big.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 will see the clues on: June 08, 2018, 05:06:29 PM
It was like Op was prophesying when he made that statement in the earlier part of the year because really, this year so far has been a trying one which could make or mar the very existence of bitcoin. We have seen a massive attack against the continuance popularity of bitcoin from every corner with effects not too small to not be recognised so also have we seen the price not showing any significant increase to the extent that every prediction have been rendered futile without a major convincing reason as to why its happening that way.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is crypto pump? How to take advantage & Earn Max From? on: June 08, 2018, 09:23:42 AM
The only way one can benefit from a pump without having a prior knowledge about it is pure coincidence because one can happen to invest based on patterns sighted and nothing else. Pump groups are everywhere now and targets are low market capitalization and unpopular ones which makes it difficult for one to really identify when the pump is going to happen and the duration that it would last. The best would be to get in quickly and exit fast.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty campaign, really a lot of cheating? on: June 07, 2018, 05:41:01 PM

Everyday I see a lot of complaints about cheating concerning bounty campaigns.

The rules edict by the BM always remind that - obviously - cheating is forbidden (multiaccounts, bot, etc..).

But when I see the quantity of work and organization necessary to do things "legally" I find it hard to imagine that it is so interesting to cheat by multiplying false accounts for
(And it must be very visible)

Would it be possible to get Bounty manager's testimony on this subject?

It has been a social epidemic on the forum here but there should not be any excuse not to do the right think because the day you are caught in immorality, no matter the right that has been done before would be the saving grace because people tend to forget good deeds easily. For the cheating, I still put more blame on the managers because they are not doing their jobs the way they should and they should stop having unlimited number of people to participate this makes monitoring difficult to do and cheating inevitable.
159  Economy / Economics / Re: GOOD NEWS ! Cryptocurrencies 'Are Not Going Away' Says CFTC Official on: June 07, 2018, 04:47:47 PM
This is a further confirmation of our conviction bitcoin is here to stay but at the same time not enough reasons for people who felt bitcoin would soon collapse when they could have entered the market years ago when they learnt about it but their pride won't still let them. Statements like this are needed to be publicised so as to boost confidence in the market that inspire the disadvantages and illegalities that are here, there is also huge amount of potentials in the technology.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: how do you think about bitcoin prices from last year compared to this year? on: June 07, 2018, 04:22:40 PM
As much as I don't want to think about it, it still comes to the forefront when thinking about how far the bitcoin price had gone and how retreated backwards in last couple of months but if there is any consolation, its an assurance that its possible. It might not get there again, it reach an surpasses the all time high, but its not something we imagined again because its been touched before which is what makes me glad.
