281  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: watch out for this fake Cryptopia Exchange website on: April 13, 2018, 09:58:40 AM
I was about login in my cryptopia account today, so I decided to pass through Google,  behold, here is what I get www.cryptopia.uno $ https://www.crryptopia-login.net ! don't every try to input your email and password on this websites, the moment you try this, automatically you have given them your cryptopia login details! they will use your details to login into account and steal all your funds.

fake/scam cryptopia website: www.cryptopia.uno https://www.crryptopia-login.net/ no button on this site is working except the login button

real cryptopia site https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/
if you get something like the https://xn--crytopia-oe0d.com/Login/ dont use it! make sure the url is same with this onehttps://www.cryptopia.co.nz/

always check the URL of the website your visit before filling in your details,

if you google search cryptopia the first 2 ads you will get are scams!
1. www.cryptopia.uno the first one
2. www.cryptopia.co.nz, when you click on the link it will take you to https://xn--crytopia-oe0d.com/Login/ the second one

Watch out.

These are one of the reason google is plaining on stopping crypto ads
This is another information worth commending because a whole lot of people might have fallen scam of this activity and would blame the owner of the real cryptopia for being responsible. These are part of the issues that is making Google to consider the banning of crypto related ads because it's always the sponsored ads that come first as a suggestion to lure unsuspecting individuals to fall prey of such action. Thanks op.
282  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: $1,200 of Import Fees? on: April 12, 2018, 09:10:45 PM
Ordered about $40,000 worth of mining equipment from Halong and DHL is stating I have to pay more than $1,200 in import duty taxes and fees! Is this right? I had no idea it would be this much. I live near the customs office, should I try to clear it myself? I’m in the USA.

I doubt if there is anything much you can do because most of the fees have been stated. Over here for example, if you want to import a vehicle even if the value is 90$ from where its coming from, you will.have to pay 40% of the market value of the vehicle as import duty even if you live in the custom office. Here, I think the import duty is not on the value but the type and category of equipment you are bringing in which is why its on the high side but nothing is stopping you from explaining things if it won't cost you anything.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the son shining again over cryptomarket? on: April 12, 2018, 07:50:18 PM
The sun can shine but it does not mean it can not set again which means it does not shine forever. What is needed is for everyone involved should make "hay while the sun shines". Concerning the recent upward trend that was witnessed earlier in the day, while I see no reason not to rejoice over it, there is also no reason to overstretch it because it might just be a temporal push but what is needed is the consistency from the cooperation of everybody to achieve a desired end.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signature bounty campaigns - Negative trust on: April 12, 2018, 05:03:30 PM
Hi guys with negative trust  Cool, you know well that is hard to find good signature campaign with a negative trust.
Do you know about some bounties, which are accepting negative trust in their rules? Or about some bounty managers who do not care about this?
I really appreciate that Amazix and Tokensuite bounty managers accept this, hope that they will accept also in the future, because one negative feedback and account is useless?

Your posts makes me decide to check the source of your negative trust but realised that it was a merited one coupled with the calibre of people who gave the trust. Its not only difficult to get a signature campaign its impossible in the service section while I am not outrightly against rules but each case should be judged differently for example someone who was a newbie and ask for loan( if its established that he was ignorant of the rule). Since you got some, I think its time to set things right.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Crypto Currency? on: April 12, 2018, 09:50:54 AM
The plan I had was the same as everybody but the situation of things currently would demand a new plan to be put in motion because that is the only to survive in this era of high uncertainty that is throwing the most solid plans out of the window. My plan currently is to follow this current situation to see it through and make decision based on recent happenings when situation changes for the better, we can start formulating for long-term purposes.

287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: April 05, 2018, 09:58:50 PM
The only consequences that can be measured in gambling are winning are losing every other other consequence are mere narrative that does not matter to a gambler and not even to an ardent gambler alone but for accountants any thing that cannot be reliably measured should not be given attention. It might be important but if its not backed with values, it ceases to amaze people like me including all of those consequences by Op.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why use cryptocurrency blockchains to gamble? on: April 04, 2018, 07:42:02 PM
Why is it beneficial to use a token to gamble, when it doesn't have high liquidity, and very violent. No one playing poker wants to take on speculation of the sites coin while playing in a tournament.

I understand playing poker or gambling using bitcoin. But why are people playing poker using (ex: Pokercoin )

What makes blockchains better? Provably fair, guaranteed payouts ( which already happen on any major site )

These blockchain sites look worse as well.

I don't see any reason why it cannot be used. In real life casinos you don't go to the table with raw cash or your ATM cards neither do you offer to do bank transfer but you change all of those into those little slates in various denominations and the moment winnings is ascertained, its converted to cash or any means you want. For the use of blockchain, its the privacy that is the game chnager and would continued to be used.

290  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would be better on: April 03, 2018, 02:18:50 PM
Yeah now is when a lot of traders are probably selling after purchasing around 6k. this time buy more Btc or ETH ? Or Both ? To trade with of course... thanks a lot

I really don't see anything wrong in that. It simply taking advantage of the situation at hand and the risk paid off because at the time of buying at that $6000 there is no certainty that it will increase to $7000 or it wont fall back $5000. The people who fail to listen despite all of the threads that things will get better and the downward trend is not permanent but fail to listen should be blame. The game is a zero sum one where there will always be a winner and losers. Just play your game to be on the winning team.
291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex trading or crypto trading and stock exchange? on: April 03, 2018, 12:45:25 PM
I been a trader in crypto since 2016 and i feel more comfortable in cryto trading im not saying that i am a pro trader already but im just know some basic in trading. I never been try to trade in forex and stock exchange and i was looking at this two trading platfrom to all pro traders here which is good and more profitable in this 3 platform
1. Forex trading
2. Crypto trading
3. Stock exchange trading

Thank you and i want to know if where is the good and most profitable and stable at this 3 platform a stable income.

The summary of everything is that no matter the knowledge you have and readings that have been done, it still boils down to your attitude to risk because for markets well regulated that information is closely guarded, the risk is low so also is the reward in those regards e.g. the stock market. In the case of the forex and crypto market, you need to be on top of your game to beat the market and just be concerned about taking a portion of the pie and be contented with it because without that, it might be huge amount of losses knocking without knowing.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is greedy people getting out of Crypto or Bitcoin?? on: April 03, 2018, 09:13:29 AM
Based on some recent post i got some question to ask community
1) People were regret about not buying bitcoin while price was too low . Now price is low compare to last 4 months . I am asking question how many are investing now ( Or in your community).
2) People made crypto market as overnight millionaire concept . Like investing thousand dollar and expecting ten thousand dollar profit in month . Once they dont get or started falling they will get Panic .

My conclusion : People who dare to invest while whole market is rejecting or No market was established they only won in crypto community .
Finally crypto is not the place to invest 1$ expect 1000$ as profit .

Thank you for reiterating what we have been saying all this while. But the issue is a whole lot of people who are investing as a result of their half baked knowledge that bitcoin or crypto is where to quickly turn your $100 to $1000 with the aid of the media are either not on the forum or they have fallen prey before finding their way to the forum because that is what is being preached since I joined which I believe anyone who has listening hears would have taken to before  committing resources. Crypto is risk itself and until they all get that, they would still be living in ignorance and making money for the smart guys.
293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I avoid making this trading mistake? It's giving me a headache on: April 03, 2018, 07:07:17 AM
So I bought 10k worth of ETH because I wanted to begin swing trading with 10K for potential solid profits via swing trades. However, I had to wait a damn week on Coinbase to receive it. However, by the time I had finally received it, the value of ETH has gone down so I only got around $9,700. So basically from there on, Im down 300 dollars, which only left me with $9,700 to begin swing trading with. So let's say I dump all the $9,700 into an alt coin for a swing trade. So in this situation, I'm already down $300. I am not happy. Let's say hypothetically, the alt coin I want to swing trade is priced at 45 cents. If the coin goes up to 47 cents and sell, I would have made $431 in profit, but if you actually think about, I would only actually make barely over $100 in profit since I've spent $10,000 worth of ETH in the very first place and value of ETH had gone down.  Huh Huh

Trying to avoid making a mistake, is a mistake on its own and its better than not trying at all. In this world of volatility, its the outcome that decides whether its a mistake or not and if it happened that way, it then give an opportunity to learn and move on without whinning about the past. I would appreciate an update though because since the past few days, it has been a situation of red all through and would want to know how you were able to pull through in this trying period.
294  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will exchanges have learnt anything from this bubble? on: April 03, 2018, 05:52:51 AM
There is really nothing to learn because most of the exchange sites (the legitimate ones though) are only acting as a market place that brings the buyer and the seller together while providing liquidity for the market in the case of those who want to cash out which is not all the time. It is then safe to say, they are day traders where every of their decision is short term as we all know that price fluntuates several times in a day, even within the hour, they are still protected what would happen is to see w drop in their revenue and a smart one would have mop up enough for this trying times during the peak periods.
295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does signature campaign really help to promote an ICO ? on: April 02, 2018, 10:43:02 PM
Several times I have seen campaigns get shut down after a week because the promoters felt they are not seeing the effect of campaigns they launch just a week ago then conclude that its not effective forgetting that for something to be effective, it then needs to be consistent and also to be effective others factors have to work in the favor of the project such as the response of the team to inquiries, the team members, the project itself etc. The fact is the position a project is to have concluded campaigns is ineffective cannot get any better by stopping the campaign or any form of advertisement at that.

This is what is called affiliate marketing and I have seen some of your posts for the service you are offering but not you own ANN Thread (you can point me to it though if it exist). You are entering an already saturated market in the crypto industry and to compete with the established exchangers you surely need to do more and go the extra. You talk about fees but not reason why I should trust you in the first place. I guess English is also not your native language which means you need a bonafide PR guy to handle that part to be taken serious at all.

There is no one here who wants to sell Bitcoins now because all here know well that the price of Bitcoin has to jump in this year again and it would be a huge jump for that they have invested and are awaiting since long time. Now what do you think who will sell Bitcoin and why? You have to buy from those who want loss.

I would say you are wrong to think nobody would want to sell because the price is down of course not. Its an open market where there will always be a buyer and someone willing to sell. If everyone is hoarding based on your analysis, then the price should have just jumped to $20000 which is surely not the case at this time.

However, the reason why someone would be hesitant to deal with Op is what he intends to buy the bitcoin with which is not commensurate at all. This is a reversible payment method and bitcoin on the otherhand is not couple with the fact that Op is not a trusted member of the community.
298  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Pay flight tickets with bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin on: April 02, 2018, 09:32:39 PM
This is really a good service to behold and based on the responses I have read and yours too, I can offer some little advice on how to make it better. A lot of people are skeptical on the forum and the OP is just about someone needs to contact you via email which I doubt anyone is going to take that offer. Until reading down before I got the point. My suggestion is to open an ANN thread designed to make it enticing with all the basic details and necessary links and be ready to answer people's curiosity if possible with some assurances as much as you can accommodate without hurting your business.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse on: April 02, 2018, 06:51:18 PM
The fighting Senator of the Philippines Manny Pacquiao announced that he is fighting this coming June 24 at Malaysia. The possible opponent is Lucas Matthysse the current WBA light welterweight champion.

For those of you who is not familiar with Lucas Matthysse below is his Boxing Record

Total fights - 44
Wins - 39
Wins by KO - 36
Losses - 4
No contests - 1

What we know so far is Freddie Roach has not committed himself yet to train Manny for this fight. Bob Arum is the the promoter for this fight, it will be De la Joya's Golden Boy Promotions and Manny's MP Promotion.

Earlier it known that Manny was asked to be an under card for Jeff Horns fight but Manny rejected the offer. There were also rumors that Manny can't fight in the US like in Las Vegas because he has issues with the IRS "again".

I wonder what Manny is trying to accomplish. You have made a good run in the world of boxing, you are loved in your country and even a representative of your people if played well, he could lead the country one day and want to still go out and embarrass himself in front of the whole world watching. I love Manny and would want him to win but losing this game would do more harm to his reputation than the hit it has take from his match with Mayweather. The only option is that he just must win.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEW update? is this true? on: April 02, 2018, 03:06:46 PM
Hai all, I've got this email today :

What will you see?

Dear MyEtherWallet Member:

In connection with the recent theft of a large amount of ETHERs from users' wallets, we have adopted new security measures. We have done a great work and ready to share with our users!

update the private key encryption protocol (completed)
update the site protection against phishing attacks (completed)
update traffic encryption from third parties (completed)
transition to a new private key generation system with Secp256k1 on ECDSA (in progress)

HOORAY!

This is a huge success for our team and the entire crypto community. Unfortunately, the new computer code for generating private keys is already ready and we will implement it this fall.

You need to fill out the form and reserve a place for yourself. The form will be open from 16:00 GMT+8 on 30th March, 2018 to 16:00 GMT+8 on 30th September, 2018. Otherwise, you will not be able to activate your account with the old encryption key Secp256k1 from October 1, 2018.

=======================================
is this true? or phising?

I don't need to even finish reading before concluding that this is a scam attempt. The mean reason for that is because even when opening an account on MEW, I can't remember registering with email address how then did they have access to have sent the mail  to it. Its just a cheap way and they are asking you to fill some details, I hope you have not fallen for this because if you have, then its purely your fault and your funds is never coming back.
