1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New way and this works fine for me on: June 07, 2017, 02:24:42 PM
I've been in a few months making bookkeeping for every deposit / withdrawal i did. Sounds a bit stupid but I feel the benefit of it all. Like I can resist my desire to gamble after loss much or after get huge wins. did you wanna try my way  Wink

This is a good habit.  Tracking how much you deposit and withdraw.  This is also advisable so that you can know how much you are winning or losing and may prevent you from playing more gambling games when you have lost so much amount.  Though I have not tried this kind of approach, but I used the planned deposit amount to bankroll for a certain period of time.  I will play until it is depleted.  Then when it is depleted, I will wait for the next schedule of replenishment.  This way I can keep my gambling on check.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: June 07, 2017, 02:13:31 PM
I started sometime ago with less then 50 dollars that i purchased bitcoin and started trading, why should i put all my money at risk when i dont know what im doing? I were newbie and i were curious and after a long search i decided to test bitcoin, i dont regret since nowadays im able to get an extra source of income with it.

You're right in doing so dude. If you're a newbie, it would be foolish in investing a big amount immediately as you're still at a stage when you're trying to figure things out. That's why its logical to shell out small investments only. You don't want to risk a big amount when you're still finding your way around right?
That is an ideal way of starting because some people thinks fast having a big input big output which is very common to the newbies who doesn't know what investment is .In investments like you said that it is the outside part stage because you don't even know the whole or tge things around it .So to test is always use a small investments in return in any losses is the knowledge that you have taken while exploring and knowing the thing you didn't know.

And that is the biggest mistake of an investor.  Putting a huge investment even though he does not know if the investment will work out or not.  Those who are cautious set a small amount on investment and will increase once they proven that the investment is really worth the money.
1423  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: June 07, 2017, 01:41:45 PM
You shouldn't encourage young ones to focus or to go all in on bitcoin. No matter how great a thing was if abused it will only cause problems. They should try Bitcoin don't go all in it's only my opinion but it is still depends on one's person perspective.

Modern technology is what the young people now are into it. And bitcoin is a product of modern technology, there's nothing wrong if we will introduce bitcoin to the young ones. While they are young, it's good for them to have some knowledge about bitcoin so that they will have the idea that can earn through crypto currency.

I agree that knowledge about the modern technology should be the one prioritized by young people.  And if ever they have some money to invest in this technology such as Bitcoin, they should take the opportunity since we never know that this small amount we invested today maybe worth a huge amount in the future.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin not multi level marketing? on: June 07, 2017, 12:57:41 PM
We tell our friends about it and they buy it at 10% more than you paid for it just because you have the in.

Did they really need this in their lives?

Bitcoin is multi level marketing the same way gold is multi level marketing.

I don't give my friends or family investment advice. Best way to loose friends.

To know if Bitcoin is a multilevel marketing you should know what multi level marketing is.

Quote
Multi-level marketing is a strategy that some direct sales companies use to encourage their existing distributors to recruit new distributors by paying the existing distributors a percentage of their recruits' sales; the recruits are known as a distributor's "downline."

Bitcoin is not controlled by any company, it is under an open market and it does not give a percentage to anyone who encourage people to buy bitcoin.  So Bitcoin is not a multi level marketing.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Speculation about Wave on: June 06, 2017, 02:58:43 PM
Dear Bitcointalk members  i am newbie at altcoin trading,I bought some wave price at 0.00142087 now what to do ?Hold them or sell?
Thanks

Check the exchanges now, if you hold you could have holding a more value Waves.  With their massive signature campaign, I think waves is pushing its promotion to the limit.  If you have extra money, it is best to buy it while it is still cheap.  I have a feeling wave is up to something big this next update.
1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🔴 ICOBID PLATFORM RELEASED 🌟🔴 GREAT REWARD 🌟🔴 HOLDING FOR REVENUE SHARE on: June 06, 2017, 01:22:44 PM
So... what exactly is the rationale in moving to a waves taken over the existing coins/algo? Trying to understand how a waves release adds any kind of value proposition here.

I am also thinking the reason on moving to Waves token.  But I think Dev had stated that it is just an add on to ICOB.  By sending 1 WAVES to the address we can claim our free Waves ICOBID token that equals to the x2 of our ICB holdings.  Is this some kind of promotion? This is getting interesting now.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I am happy seeing some coins advancig to BTC size. on: June 06, 2017, 01:08:19 PM
I am now having eye on litecoin and ethereum doing better . But i had strong speculation on ripple but it gone wrong . But i will be happy once doge coin value goes happy that really makes me happy

I will say Waves will have a tremendous increase in price, with the massive marketing of WAVES in this forum, 1000 participant needed in their signature campaign, I have no doubt they are up to something huge.  Probably they will release something that will push their value more in this coming days.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is causing the Bitcoin bubble? on: June 06, 2017, 12:21:44 PM
Assuming this increase is a bubble, I believe the one that caused it is the good news that is coming from the development and adoption of Bitcoin in a different country.  Now that July is coming, many speculators think that bitcoin would probably double in price just like what happened when Japan accepted Bitcoin.
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you For or Against "Government" Regulation of Bitcoin. on: June 06, 2017, 11:51:02 AM
I noticed many pro government Regulation of Bitcoin popping up everywhere thesedays it makes me wonder whether fellow Bitcoiners are in support of these people or more focused on accumulating more Bitcoin & Altcoin.
Would Satochi be in Support of Regulation? Are you in support or against?

I do not care if my government regulate or not regulate bitcoin.  I cannot do anything if they do regulate bitcoins anyway.  I will just do what I think will not break my government law while involving myself to bitcoin.  And if they ban bitcoin probably that will be the time I will not abide my government law and will keep on using Bitcoin.
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 06, 2017, 11:39:38 AM
I am living in a still-considered as a third world country which kinda suit me because the standard of living here is still low and we can easily afford all the necessities of life and even some luxuries here and there. Money here goes a long, long way at least compared to developed countries like USA or Japan for that matter.

It is then good to retire here most especially if you have the money in your purse. Now, I am planning to set aide even just 1 Bitcoin as part of my retirement plan...of course it is just part of the mix as I am also into cacao/mango/coconut farming which can also serve me well when I am retired.

Do you think 1 Bitcoin can be good for retirement...let's say 20 years from now?

If the prediction about bitcoin going $500k or $1m a piece in 10 years came true, then i guess having 1 Bitcoin as your retirement plan is not got but rather great.  There is nothing much better than having your investment to grow from 20 to 500 times after a decade.
1431  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: June 05, 2017, 11:28:40 PM
If you are not in an urgent need of money, it is best to wait.  Bitcoin seems to go back in bull trend now.  So, this means bitcoin will increase in price in the next days.  This means you will have more price value and get more USD if you wait and sell it later when bitcoin price increase more.
1432  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are still not in a bubble! 20k$ is INCOMING! on: June 05, 2017, 11:03:50 PM
I so wish that bitcoin will reach 20k usd, but I think it wont happen anytime soon.  Probably it needs another 2 years or halving before it happens.  I am very positive because Japan and Australia already accepted bitcoin and I believe more country will follow their lead which can result to Bitcoin FEVER and price will certainly increase exponentially.
1433  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: June 05, 2017, 10:38:19 PM
Reasons you should buy Bitcoins now is because Bitcoin will show incredible rates of growth in future years so your investment can mature two to three times in span of a year or two.

I agree this is one of the reasons why we should invest in Bitcoin.  Aside from the previous growth, bitcoin is inclined to increase because of the level of market saturation.  Market saturation is still low meaning, there are still huge market of bitcoin adoption ahead.  Aside from that the current event of bitcoin is all pointing upward.
1434  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: June 05, 2017, 09:31:16 PM
I think the deciding factor between trading and investment is the timeframe.  Investment can be done in short term, medium term and long term but these terms composed of months to year while trading is simply an act of buy and sell that take advantage of fluctuation may it be in seconds to a day.
1435  Economy / Economics / Re: What is occurring when someone sells 1 BTC at a price lower than he/she bought? on: June 05, 2017, 08:55:27 PM
If you sell something that is lower than how much you bought it, it is a lost from your side.  Any kind of reasoning is either sweet lemoning or sourgraping that make you feel better. But the matter of fact you just did a bad trades and suffer a 103 USD lost and there is no words can change that fact.
1436  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2017, 07:33:40 PM
I don't it's a good idea to introduce bitcoin to children. They should do something that suit their age and have positive impact towards their development, not study about some crypto. And i think bitcoin is quite hard to understand for children.

It is not a bad thing to make your children aware of the trends.  The bad thing would be forcing them to do stuff that can make them earn Bitcoin at their parents gain.  Kids should be aware of things and stuff that is happening, but let them have the freedom to chose on whatever they wanted to do.
1437  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC market cap is now $40,000,000,000 on: June 04, 2017, 07:14:18 PM
Just you wait and Bitcoin will be more than zuckerbergs worth.  Bitcoin is just starting, has not even reached 25% of global saturation, there is a lot of room for this currency to grow so I bet just a few years from now Bitcoin will be double of what Zuckerbergs worth.
1438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2017, 06:52:43 PM
What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin?
Respect their decision.
This is the way to go to avoid confrontation and arguments between belief.  Though we can show them that bitcoin is really legit by simply showing them through action that they are wrong on their assumption about bitcoins.  Sharing experience works too specially when you made payments in bitcoin .
1439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 04, 2017, 06:25:25 PM
I do not think that we will be seeing bitcoin lower than $1000.  We have passed that criteria and now bitcoin is soaring to $5k per piece.  Aside from that if there is some dumps, buyers would happily catch them since they believe that bitcoin trend is to go up and it is a chance to buy when it dip.
1440  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN HALVING? on: June 04, 2017, 05:45:39 PM
Bitcoin halving is cutting miners block reward by half. The last Bitcoin halving up to now was last year (I think it was in August) and it happens approximately every 4 years, so the next one will be somewhere in 2020. The price is known for pumping after this happens, but it didn't happen in 2016.

It did not happen because there is no need for Bitcoin to pump.   And besides, the pump where done before the halving.  If you go back to the thread about halving, you can see the predictions and increase in bitcoin price prior to the halving.  Besides it is observed that due to the less reward, bitcoin will eventually increase in price may it be after a month or a year.
