Yes I think 2018 will hit $3500 more because the price today is $2150 and for sure it will increase even they experienced last few dyas ago dump price the price will recover after few hours. Maybe $3500 is possible to happen in this year 2017 . Because my speculation in the year of 2018 the price will be $5000 up. And I hope many user will invest again today and next year so the price will continue increase. Dont be afraid if bitcoin price dump its normal and for sure after dumping they pumping.
I also agree that we can expect a $3500 bitcoin in year 2018. This is more realistic than higher prediction. With the current bitcoin price at $2100+ and the upcoming news and hype about bitcoin, coupled with adoption, I believe $3500 will be reached even before 2018 ends. |

Stable price is wrong and boring if that happens bitcoin or crypto users will lose excitement. We always love to spectate fluctuating cryptocurrency prices right? its a sign of healthy ecosystem.
You might get bored and leave the cryptosphere when price become stable but definitely there will be 10 more people to join the bitcoin economy once it become stable. Meaning speculative people like you will be out of the scene and merchant that likes stable price will come in. Bitcoin will continue to be popular whether it is stable or highly volatile. |

Love the topic and replies! My 2 cents - probably no unless infrastructure/ecosystem is built (or lets say available for regular people) for btc payments so anyone easily can pay with btc instead using visa, master etc.
You got a point here, unless the system change, fiat will never be worthless. It requires changes in financial structure to make fiat worthless and not just the price of bitcoin. Even if bitcoin reaches trillion dollar price as long as the finance system does not change, it will never make fiat worthless. |

I do not thing that there will be a difference if bots are banned. Remember it is the person that sets up this bot, so definitely whatever this bots are doing, their owner will do even if they have to do it manually. And I do not thing that the government will involved themselves in this kind of stuff. I think it is the exchange that should rule out bots if it is needed.

I think in the future all hotels in the world will accept bitcoin as payment of their costumer and they can also trade there bitcoin in some company to get share in some big hotel like five star hotel and many more. It is possible but the problem with paying in Bitcoin is the confirmation time. I am not anti bitcoin but the way we experience the confirmation delay, there will be problem with client and the hotel unless they have way to hasten the confirmation. You can read a positive news about bitcoin everywhere, so definitely this is a controlled dump, some kind of price manipulation by whales out there to shake weak hands. Bitcoin already touches $3500 a few days ago by some exchange but I guess it will touch and stay in that range even before 2018. The current bitcoin price surge just shows that capability of bitcoin to go up in price. Even with the current dip which many of us considered as a major correction, I still think that Bitcoin will continue to rise and may exceed $3500 before the end of the year.

I believe it will fluctuate around $1900 to $2100. The crash were merely whales cashing out. And sheep follows to crash the price a bit more. Then after that correction is observed. So I guess bitcoin will fluctuate within that range for some days before it starts to climb again. There are upcoming good news to Bitcoin so an increase in price is expected.

That is part of the factors you need to improve when you are gambling, you have to be good in numbers but our job here is very different because we select the winner by predicting and sometimes your match is useless because statistics will not work when games are rigged.
I agree this is the sad part in sports betting. We do not know if the game is rigged or not. And if the game is rigged then all our research and analyzation won't work. I have been trading lately, from my experience in trading both in commodities, binary options and forex, I don't make the kind of money I do make from bitcoin, altcoins flipping. I see trading now as the best way to increase my bitcoin.
In your case probably yes, but it is not the same to those who lack trading skills. That is why some prefer investment while other go with freelancing. I guess this stuff is situational. Though the one thing that trading has an advantage over those choices is that, trading profit is boundless. |

So a couple of days ago, in a bloggers group on facebook; a guy asked what is bitcoin? And I was quite amazed to see that many people start commenting and saying stay away for bitcoin, its black currency, under world currency, or dark web currency and stuff like that.
Obviously the people who were saying this didn't know about bitcoin and have probably heard the same from someone else, but this is the perception of many around us.
What can be done to change this? Make BTC more user friendly? More appealing to general public?
There are certainly a lot of misconceptions of bitcoin out there. My parents still think that bitcoin is some sort of currency that is issued by someone that is a drug dealer that doesn't want to reveal himself in the world and all there is to bitcoin is buynig drugs, prostitutes, hitmen etc. But I'd say that 90%+ of the economic activity going on the bitcoin network is totally legitimate. We need more awareness of bitcoin, we need the public to actually have the heart to see what bitcoin is really about - to see someone refer to bitcoin as black money is just really disappointing. I agree people should be educated about bitcoin and awareness campaign is the best way. But the problem with this is that those who volunteer for this is not incentivised. Probably big companies that join bitcoin economy can help a lot in this awareness campaign since they will be the first on to have benefits if people understand what bitcoin is. |

I do not think bitcoin encourage people to be criminal or increase its activity. This criminal activity will still happen even if bitcoin does not exist. One of the proof is the criminal activity that was recorded even before Bitcoin were created. Criminals will use all possible means to do their illegal activities whether they are using Bitcoin or not.

It is very tempting to win 2 btc in one roll but the idea of losing 10 BTC discourage me to do such kind of bet. Aside from that even though the chance of winning is 80%, there is no telling what would be the result of the roll since 20% is still a big percentage and might be the one to come up making you lose 10 BTC.

That is how it worked most of the time, but as you can see this massive rally has not only included bitcoin but almost every other major coin in existence, this is what happens when the money invested in cryptocurrencies grows instead of the same money just moving around. Honestly I am quite surprised why several altcoin increase rather than decrease in price. It seems altcoin are riding with bitcoin popularity and making people to invest in alternate cryptocurrency due to bitcoin scalability issue. Or probably there is some whales that orgnized a syncronized altcoin pumping  (This is just may imagination do not bother) |

i think teaching bitcoin to someone is not difficult and also earning bitcoin is very easy and it is like that as we are earning in bitcoin,
It is difficult when teaching it is not only saying stuff like sending and receiving, it also involves the economics or technicalities of bitcoin. And the proof that I am telling the truth is this.. and also in my case i was teaching about bitcoin to my friends but they are not trust on bitcoin but when they heard about bitcoin price in news they were very excited to learn bitcoin and were asking about me.
So the first time you told people about bitcoin, they are not convinced, it was the news that make them approach you again and ask you about bitcoins. And I am sure you are having headache on how to discuss to them in a layman's term what bitcoin is. |
