1501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the launch to the Moon that we were waiting for? on: May 16, 2017, 10:59:30 PM
I do think that bitcoin is yet to launch to the moon yet, this is just a preparation, remember scaling is not fixed yet so bitcoin trying to launch to the moon will definitely fail because of its limitations.  Fix the scalability issue and we can see Bitcoin going to the moon.
1502  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin reach the $4000 mark this year ? on: May 16, 2017, 09:54:46 PM
No, you will never see $4k bitcoin this year or the next. In fact, you will never see it. Not in your life time. Never. Won't happen. You will all die destitute and pennyless. Sell all your bitcoins and die happy. Please. For your own sake.

I also doubt that bitcoin will reach $4k this year.  I guess it is $3k that we can see this year.  There maybe adoption in some country but always remember that there is something holding bitcoin to sky rocket and that is the scaling problem.  This will probably the one that will cause resistance to Bitcoin in reaching $4k  this year.
1503  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the right number of BTC to own in order to become rich in 10 years?? on: May 16, 2017, 09:15:00 PM
Just to be sure you will be a millionaire after 10 years, you need to hold at least 1000 BTC.  It is better to make it a millionaire this early just to be sure that you will be a millionaire after 10 years.  Honestly, no one can say an exact amount since the price of bitcoin after 10 yeast is yet to be known.
1504  Economy / Speculation / Re: How realistic are the $1M Bitcoin predictions? on: May 16, 2017, 08:42:36 PM
Just one key explanation to make it plausible if one big and influential country in the world accommodates bitcoin as legal tender will make bitcoin price increase by 20%, just waiting for news from four big countries to make price prediction come true.
Japan recently legalizing bitcoin and the price increase was because there was more investments coming into bitcoin from the Japanese market and so is the reason we had a good rally. What all countries will be legalizing bitcoin in the near future and the main thing is whether we can expect more investments from these countries to see another rally.
Well yeah the Japanese acceptance of the Bitcoin has played a very positive roll on the price of the Bitcoin. The recent increase in the Bitcoin was due to the main reason of the Japanese acceptance. If more countries like Japan legalized the Bitcoin no doubt it will reach a very high price I am not sure about the Price of $1M but it really will rise high.

I agree the price of bitcoin will definitely increase due to country adoption and several companies joining bitcoin economy but 1M BTC is too unrealistic for me.  The reason is that, the market cannot support this kind of price.  Probably 10k USD or 50k USD is realistic but 1M is too much.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bitcoin Dominance < 50% on: May 16, 2017, 07:39:04 PM
Doesn't really mean much, bitcoin is so much further ahead in every other aspect. New altcoins are popping up all the time so it's only natural that bitcoin's dominance will drop below 50%.

I guess it is New altcoins is pumping and with large total supply, it is natural that bitcoin dominance will look like it drops below 50% but the truth is, the computation or calculation is flawed  Tongue.  How can you compare a billion coins to a 21 million coins and claim that 21 million coin is dropping in dominance when the truth this billion coins are just being pumped hard?
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Future on: May 16, 2017, 06:26:30 PM
The future of  bitcoin is very bright .Rich countries are adopting bitcoin very easily so it's price will be in future more than present time . the technical support of bitcoin is very fine. Bitcoin have some obstacles  like that bitcoin use in terrorist activity. Every thing has good side and bad side. All over bitcoin future is very good.
I a gree with you . one of the problems faced by bitcoin today that crime is increasing. Cyber criminals use bitcoins as shipping addresses. As is the case with the current Wanna cry virus, this can create anxiety if bitcoin is used for a negative tear.

This is a matter of global concern, although it has been solved by a young man; however, it is only a temporary solution. In just a short time, they will come up with other similar software to continue to make money. They are talented people, but they are not virtuous, and they will be punished.
I guess Ransomware and other criminal activities gives a double edge sword effect to Bitcoin because one thing is that it makes Bitcoin's image look bad but on the other hand the demand of it will increase as more and more people are buying Bitcoin in order to transact into this criminal activities. Even for a long long time ago the dark web had helped the growth of Bitcoin on where it is now. Because of making Bitcoin as their main currency it help its price to balloon in an upward momentum.

There is no such thing as bad publicity. Regardless of how people view it just the fact that it gets in the news means more people take an interest and adopt the currency.

I am sorry but i guess there is.  There is such thing as bad publicity.  If it gives you bad image on that news, then that is what we called bad publicity, it may help in awareness but in what way?  Bitcoin being an illegal tool?  So tell me how could this news about bitcoin being used in illegal stuff a good publicity?
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank in Norway now supports Bitcoin on: May 15, 2017, 04:03:38 AM
Definitely any bank involving themselves to one of the companies that are actively promoting and using bitcoin is a great thing.  This action may make banks curious about Coinbase transaction and then investigate to know bitcoin better.  Once they saw that bitcoin is one of the better ways to create profit, they can possibly use it in their investment system and might be a big thing for bitcoin.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: May 15, 2017, 03:38:47 AM
With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead. Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?

I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.

If you feel like bitcoin is useless, just send me your bitcoins and I will agree with you.   Having this kind of argument and still holding bitcoin is annoying.  And besides why are you still here in the forum if you feel that Bitcoin is useless?  Most people who do feel that bitcoin does not do them good just quit and get out of this forum unless you are trying to do some convincing and make people sell their bitcoin at a cheaper price.
1509  Economy / Speculation / Re: People selling alts to go back in BTC on: May 14, 2017, 09:53:32 PM
In most cases, altcoin price are just a bubble.  So when this bubble burst, people who are involved on that altcoin will definitely convert their altcoin to Bitcoin thus the selling of alts to go back in BTC.  This process is a cycle so it will happen every now and then.
1510  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: May 14, 2017, 09:18:09 PM
I highly doubt that its going to happen at all, there is no way that a crypto currency can replace the biggest currency of the entire world.

I agree, Bitcoin is best being alternative but never as a replacement to a national currency due to the issue of centralization and regulation.  Government wants centralized and regulated currency which bitcoin does not have or missing.  Unless government take over bitcoin then it will never happen that bitcoin will replace dollar.
1511  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Bitcoin became a legal currency? on: May 14, 2017, 08:25:07 PM
Probably this past weeks had shown you what will happen if Bitcoin became a legal currency.  An adoption of Japan acknowledging Bitcoin as money had broken several ATH in just a span of time.  This mean, Bitcoin will skyrocket in price of Bitcoin became a legal currency and acknowledge by the world.
1512  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's Next Direction 2017 Predictions on: May 14, 2017, 07:47:53 PM
We are extremely close to hitting my 2017 target! Not sure what I'm going to do next, this needs a lot of research. Definitely taking profit on the majority of positions soon since it's at 300% at this point.

I bet the current news about Bitcoin and hype of Japanese news and the upcoming Australia adoption definitely messed up your data  Grin.  Now you need to reorganize it and analyze it according to what happened during the Japanese Bitcoin rally.

As of the price, I guess there is a good chance of $2500 Bitcoin at the end of the year.
1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: May 14, 2017, 07:13:02 PM
This post began in 2010. It is interesting to see the changes in attitude over 6 or 7 years. Governments rule on what is is according to what benefits them at the time.

Some say money, some say property. It is what is is!

Well if we considere this, it is what it is then Bitcoin is a currency.  from the whitepaper, and definition, Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronic currency.  And now it is being considered as payment method and money by different countries like Japan, Philippines and soon by Australia.  Another good thing with bitcoin is it can be use as store of value too  Tongue
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: May 14, 2017, 05:35:04 PM
For me thats a really a good eays if we really want yo spread the knowledge about bitcoin in many people making advertisement is a good move since many people watching tv they can catch up some ideas or just having a small knowledge about crytocurrency is a good start for them for investments.

It is agreed that it can raise awareness on Bitcoin but the main concern is, who will finance it?  Would you finance it?  Definitely I won't because I am not incentivised to do so unless I have a store that needs advertising.  I agree that let the circumstances put Bitcoin in TV, and Social Media is way cheaper plus it reach out people who are already knowledgeable in using the internet.
1515  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: May 13, 2017, 11:34:12 PM
with a fee of 1USD bitcoin will never be allways used, so we will still need an asset that you can touch.
yes that is the main reason that the users of btcoin are not mor and still not more than 1% people are using bitcoin . i think it will take such a long lon g time as it is even not possible in near future.

It does not need a very long time to think or observe if bitcoin will or will not replace Bitcoin.  From the way things move, we can definitely say Bitcoin will never replace dollar because the government won't allow it.  Bitcoin is decentralized while government favors centralized currency.  That is the thing why BTC won't replace as Dollar.
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin becoming out of reach on Common Man on: May 13, 2017, 11:20:25 PM
I do think Bitcoin is still reachable by the common man.  Satoshi designed the 8 decimal digits so that when the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed, those with lesser funds can alway buy a fraction of BTC.  I believe no one is preventing us from buying bitcoin at 0.005 or 0.01.  We can even get bitcoin at less than those amounts.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: May 13, 2017, 05:04:37 PM
There is a possibility that Bitcoin can be use in space.  Austronaut can communicate in space, Im sure developer will find a way to transfer Bitcoin in space even if it is just for fun purposes only.  Who will use Bitcoin in space anyway?  I bet Astronaut won't have time for Bitcoin shopping.
1518  Economy / Speculation / Re: is this bitcoin bubble ever going to burst on: May 10, 2017, 06:24:05 PM
Guys I sold out and sold my soul, not sure if I should buy back in now or wait for some consolidation ? Any advice would be appreciated. Is there even going to be correction ?
The current price bubble will definitely burst, it always has after such sudden rise in price. But the overall bitcoin bubble, I don't think it's anywhere close to bursting. You really did make a big mistake selling, right now you should wait few weeks before this current bubble bursts If you see the price going anywhere near $1200-1300 make your move and buy back. But keep in mind there is a tiny chance that this bubble doesn't burst at all and BTC reaches another ATH.

Definitely price bubble always burst but with bitcoin, the question is when, i still think the bubble wont burst yet, it will ballooned even larger because there is incoming large player tothe scene.  and india is looking good in recognizing Bitcoin so is China as money or mode of payment.  So definitely there is still a huge room for the bubble to grow before bursting.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: May 10, 2017, 01:24:51 PM
Yes sports lovers will love sports betting. And those who like sports they will like slot games. For me, slot games are lazy games no stress, and no strategies and no planning just pick number and roll. For few minutes it is ok to play. But for a long time yes it is boring and no profit. So I will not play much slot games I like skill games.

I think that's exactly the point of slot games. A lazy way to gamble. There is nothing you can do expect to sit back and press the spin button and see if you get lucky. When I play I think that are the animations that keep me interested. I also get happy when I get free spins, and then I go out, either if I lost the amount I invested, or If I got a lucky roll and got some decent profit.
i would nominate dice as the laziest game to gamble rather than slots that at least it has some picture to see. slot machine are just like lottery , it's has super high odds to win but once you get some lucky to win it you might could buy anything around you. can't imagine how the feeling won the jackpot and that's could be the reason why people keep chasing it.

LOL. Yeah I totally agree! Dice is just a click and forget kind of game. You don't even have to think, all you have to think about is "should I roll the dice". I wouldn't say that dice has a super high odds of winning. It actually has no odds of winning, if you talk about the long run. Since casinos have house edge, you are likelier to lose than win.

This is the reason why I prefer dice than slots.  It is easy, just click and forget, and with the bots, you can keep your bot running the whole day while doing other stuff and keep yourself busy and just come back when you remember you have your bot set in a dice and it is time to turn it of lol.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 10, 2017, 12:57:19 PM
A couple of months back (March), I remember seeing bitcoin dominance about 85% when It comes to the market capitalization. Its currently 59.2% and probably will continue to decrease in the next a few days. Is this something to be worried about?

Source: https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#btc-percentage

I`m not sure if those stats are true.
Most of the altcoins are bubbles which are going to burst,so bitcoin will return back to 85% soon.
The entire cryptocurrency market cap is increasing, which is good.

Stats are true but the computation is flawed when it comes to cryptocurrency dominance, since it just calculates the current price multiply by the total supply which is the flaw.  We cannot see the the actual dominance in usage and adoption of people in there which is the thing that should be considered as the factor of being dominance.
