1701  Economy / Speculation / Re: BU adoption causes another 20% crash for core. on: March 21, 2017, 11:01:54 PM
Increase of BU adoption causes another 20% loss in value for bitcoin.

The question is when will it stop crashing? WILL it stop crashing?

The hard fork hasn't even happened yet and people already realize Bitcoin core is done.

hahahahaha, same old bullshit from you!   harfork is not a bad thing when you sit on BTC.  Sure it will create panic or it is creating panic but if one plays it smart making profit easy. Is not every day you get to exist on two chains at the same " time "  you moron.

the downtrend to sub 1000USD is mixture of profit taking , fud and noob panic selling.  900 has solid support and smart people will buy and wait for fork or wait for bounce back to 1100-1200 usd

I guess I would rather buy before the fork.  It is where most of the FUD will emerge.  Taking cheap Bitcoin and if the fork produces two Chain then at least I got myself free Bitcoin either unlimited or core and I am sure both of them have value.
1702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the price of bitcoin still skyrocket on: March 21, 2017, 10:33:37 PM
I really  think that it could still,
And I really hope to see the price of bitcoin to go $2,000 before this year ends,

Definitely it will go up.  Remember that the Market of Bitcoin is yet to be saturated.  With the continuous flow of  new people embracing Bitcoin technology and investing in it, demand ever increasing and supply being deflated, price will increase.
1703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: March 21, 2017, 07:11:52 PM
Since bitcoin is trending now world wide because you can easily earn this and it exchange in real cash. Is bitcoin the new value of currency in the internet? Is he the new money? Can we use it in buying foods and etc in the future?
I think bitcoin can be the new currency in the near future because we all know that bitcoin in now popular. We can use bitcoin in online transaction and for paying services. As long as it has a value, bitcoin will become a new money. I think it can also be used in buying foods because in some store in other country that legalize the bitcoin is accepting it as a payment.

I think Bitcoin opens the new era for currency.  Once currency are centralized and controlled by financial institution,  and bitcoin being the first mover to decentralized blockchain, it opens the era for decentralization and digital currency.  So with they, I can say yes Bitcoin is the first of the new era of currency.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: March 20, 2017, 07:38:08 PM
I do agree that bitcoin price is recovering now from the massive sell off that happened recently.  Maybe the effect of the fork news already waned and information about the misconception about Bitcoin fork as bad stuff had been disseminated.   That is why price is back up $1000 but I think it still needs sometime before the fear on forking calm down.
1705  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: March 20, 2017, 07:22:50 PM
I don't think so.
Bitcoin will not replace dollar, but in my opinion bticoin will replace gold as soon as posible Grin Grin

if bitcoin replaced gold that may be because it is already happening, but if bitcoin replace the dollar I think is difficult because of the dollar itself is an international currency that is widely used enumerated person, if for parallel and complementary it certainly can.

Right. Definitely not. I think bitcoin and US dollar will just go along together. Bitcoin is just another kind of currency that is offered to the market and still it has a long way to go before more and more will accept it as a form of payment.
I agree that USD and BTC will go along together.  Bitcoin does not need to replace dollar because it has its own identity.  Aside from that I have doubt that Bitcoin can be a primary currency since its nature is decentralized and is very hard to regulate.   It would be best as alternative currency in my opinion.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: March 20, 2017, 06:53:31 PM
When I gamble, I make sure that I set up limits for myself in terms of how much I can bet per week. This helps to keep from losing too much at any one time.

Great strategy. This is exactly what every gambler should do in order to not turn his gambling into hell. First, you have to realize that you can only lose with gambling. Second, do some steps to minimize the losses.

Every gambler will make a strategy before playing gambling, but only a few gamblers will follow the methods like how mate is following. Those who control their play they can follow these methods. If you don't have control on your play, then I am sure you can not be able to follow these kinds of methods. But your last word is right one thing we must know in this gambling that is in gambling we can only lose our money making a profit is very tough.

I agree people have gameplan before playing but people who saw that the gameplan is not working then he should act accordingly by changing his own gameplan to at least adapt to the situation and lessen his loses.  It is not bad to change gameplan.  It always happen and will never cease to happen.
1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: March 20, 2017, 06:08:40 PM
I consider both reason. I play it for fun and also for profit. But most of the time, running after money or profit through gambling brings a great negative effect actually. In fact, i faced much losses.

So if it is not for money, it cannot be not for fun. Because, once you have invested into this, you will be addicted to this.

But if the emotion can be controlled by fun instead of profit, there will be no risk of losing money i think as i have did it before.

If you gamble for entertainment, you should accept the fact that you will lose money.  Same thing when you watch movies, go out in a theme park or play a playstation buying new games ( you need to pay for the electricity bill here).  So definitely we should be aware of this thing.  And if ever we want to play for profit, we should also accept the fact that house were established to get profit, so you are having a tag of war here for profit except that house have already an edge.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holders, are you diversifying in case the fork proves catastrophic on: March 20, 2017, 05:00:48 PM
Is anyone using their btc to buy cars or houses in case the BU fork hits bitcoin hard?

Maybe converting btc to fiat or another crypto?

If you held bitcoin, how would you diversify your holdings to keep them safe in the event the hard fork forks things up?

 Undecided

I will not spend my Bitcoin when there is an incoming fork.  One reason is that if fork happen and two chain became alive, I might have double my Bitcoin.  I guess diversifying this early because of the rumored fork is nonsense.  People who wants to get cheap bitcoin will use all their tactics to put the price of BTC down and enjoy buying it at the lowest.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: March 19, 2017, 09:09:11 PM
Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Tongue
Trading can never be like a gambling site. When you do trading your not doing it for fun and entertainment or a game of relax like others said in the gambling sites. Trading was a serious kind of making bitcoin profit, unlike gambling was known as a game of fun and relaxation and a waste of time spending money.

I agree trading is not a gambling site Smiley It is obvious and no need to explain it.  And between trading and gambling, the only factor separating this two is the risk,  In trading, we can mitigate or control the risk thru several planning and researches but in gambling, we can never control the risk.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: March 19, 2017, 08:34:01 PM
In past i used to be addict towards gambling and keep on adding more bitcoin to wallet when i lost what i have deposited before. But these days i only play for fun so i will just leave after i lost certain amount. I have lost much in slots and satoshimines being addictive.
Well if you became an addicted before, meaning it became hard for you to flee yourself into gambling. at least you overcome your weakness into that comfort zone. congrats anyway! that's the effect of applying self control in gambling.

I agree that it is hard to avoid gambling once you are addicted to it. Gambling addiction does not have cure, it only subside but it can be trigger anytime if you exposed yourself again and again to gambling.  To avoid being addicted, we need to be in control of everything. Money, time, bet, and most of all ourselves.
1711  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: March 19, 2017, 07:29:21 PM
I think skill based game is more risky.  The main reason is that skill-based game still rely on the chance of having a good cards in hands like poker and black jack.  Even sports betting needs to depend on the chance of scoring due to odds being placed, and not only on who is to win.  While trading, if ever the market gets dangerous, we can always cut our loses by simply selling our holidngs.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again? on: March 19, 2017, 05:40:28 PM
Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again?

What are the reasons you come back to gamble?

Gambling then taking a break isn't something to be ashamed about. Sometimes the common gambler needs a break from things just so they could get to see what's going on around them then they could start to Gamble again if they feel like it.
I had a little break from Gambling and made some money from the selections that I've made, it wasn't that long till I lost most of the money though. If you really think about how people Gamble all day just so that they will lose money in the end is kind of weird. It's better to have a break from Gambling to stay healthy.

Yes, it is really good to take a break from gambling from if you can. Although how are you going to take a break? Just go and stop suddenly? The only reason a common or hard core gambler would suddenly stop is that they have no money to gamble at all. Another reason I'm thinking is that if you have any hobbies that can keep your mind from gambling well help you as well.

There are reasons why gamblers stop gambling aside from not having money to play.  Another reason maybe is about the location.  If he moved away from the Casino or gambling house he is playing then it will take him sometime to find another gambling house and gambling again.  Another thing is when he is gambling online and internate fails him and he is unable to fix it for couple of months.  Then definitely all his online gambling activity will be stopped and can only be resume once he fixed his internet.
1713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Bitcoin Wallets in 2017 on: March 19, 2017, 04:22:19 PM
Im using multibit hd some months ago but I shifted to electrum coz I learned I cant import my private key using my customized vanity address(anybody here who knows how to import my address to multibit hd?), Im also using mycelium on my android phone very nice app no issues for now.

This is the main reason why I shifted from multibit HD to electrum.  Worst of Multibit HD service is that the annoying import of its obsolete Multibit Classic which I think we cannot directly import to Multibit HD, funny isn't it?  I searched for the method in the faqs but I cannot find any documents there that tells about transporting wallet address from Multibit Classic to Multibit HD.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: March 18, 2017, 08:21:55 AM
Gambling will not help you in your life, it may also ruined your life because of lost of money that's the only negative thing that gambling could give you that it will lead you to emotional symptoms like frustration, depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts.

It can help you if you are in need and you luckily won some good amount or if you are an investor of gambling site, then you are being helped by the gambling industry itself. Those are the very few ways on how gambling can help us with our life nevertheless it will actually going to ruin our lives if we didn't made our decisions clear.

Lol luck is the one that helps you not gambling.  Remember you have a greater chance of losing than winning due to the house edge.  I would never think gambling as means of way to help me when I need money.  It can even worsen the scenario if you lose the roll.  So I guess suggesting gambling as means of soliciting money in time of needs is not a good one.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Do u Like to Bet? on: March 18, 2017, 07:59:09 AM
I like basketball since it is my favorite sports. I also get along with basketball data and players info since it interest me.  So I guess this is the reason why I'd rather have basketball bet than any other games in the sportsbook.  There is better possibility for me to predict the right odds and team.
1716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin never replace Fiat Money on: March 18, 2017, 07:12:46 AM
One of the reason in my opinion why Bitcoin will never replace the fiat currency is the government  rejection.  they will reject Bitcoin as a primary currency that can replace their own fiat currency due to the regulation and control issue.  I always think  that Bitcoin is best as an alternative but eversince this scaling drama being unsolved, I am now doubting Bitcoin as the best alternative.
1717  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: March 15, 2017, 10:34:06 PM
Bitcoin is a functionally improved form of gold. Choosing the bitcoin investment, you have a guarantee that your savings will not be lost because of the devaluation, you can be sure that the state will not be able to access your account in any way.

It can be functionally bitcoin and more convenient than gold. But bitcoin has its flaws about which you need to remember. This is a cryptocurrency and it is subject to sharp price fluctuations

That is true, I also agree that Bitcoin is far more dangerous as an investment than gold.  You an buy Bitcoin today and there is a possibility that it will crash tomorrow if the developer won't deliver the fixed or patch to the current issue.  Unlike gold that it is what it is, Bitcoin is more complicated form of asset that rely on its developers works, and need to be always updated and well secured against several exploits from its code.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: March 15, 2017, 10:15:57 PM
Gambling is very enticing, and tempting.  Thinking of gambling will automaticfally reach out for our greed.  The wants to win money or profit in a little to no effort.  Even if the indicator tells us that we will be more likely to lose than to win, we often ignore it.  So it is the winning and a bonus of entertainment that makes us to play gambling game even if we often lose.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: March 15, 2017, 10:00:03 PM
There is no way one would have been involved in gambling and will not attach some level of superstition to it. Even the luck that we all talk about as a reason for winning in gambling to me is superstition because how do one that is lucky today becomes unlucky tomorrow. How does one determine that? There is no way it wont be attached to something, maybe I woke up right, maybe the person I spoke to, or the the guy that advise me and the likes. One way or the other, superstition is involved.

Yet some people think some reason when they win from gambling. They want to repeat that experience so they think of something what made them lucky on that day. They think that made them lucky and try to repeat it the next day expecting they would win again but they don't realize it won't happen from gambling. I never see a person that wins consecutively in gambling.

I have seen people winning consecutively in gambling specially poker games.  There are rare cases in Dice and slots.  Though this guy never had any ritual before playing, they just do the usual stuff.  So this scenario means, that people wins or loses no matter what they do before they play gambling games.  And I am no fun of superstitious belief.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: March 15, 2017, 04:22:22 PM
Yes of course they make sense you can't be like other's who have huge funds of course everyone has their own limits so normally what will happen if you deposited 10$   you will get 11$ while people who invested will get 110$. The return is same but you could only invest what you had so think in that way.
invest only the amount that you can afford to lose that's the general rules of investing, just like you've said mate its only differ with how much earnings will be collected or gained by those who invested much bigger with the same investment system  with you.

If you invest, even if you can afford to lose it, you should take care of it, grow it and protect it from possible loses.  Learn more about your investment.  Even if the investment is just a small amount, the experience and learning that it can give you is incomparable.  It is much better than having a million investment and does not care of it.
