1  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Utopia P2P - Official Android Review Campaign (Newbie - Legendary) 💎 on: January 07, 2024, 01:18:24 AM
My review of the Utopia app :The app is actually well made and easy to use. It has a very user-friendly UI. Signing up doesn't require any personal information, which is quite good. For messaging, you can easily join and create chat groups where you can interact with others. The wallet lets you directly buy UUSD using USDT, which is convenient. As far as the AI assistant goes, sometimes it takes a long time to reply, but it's a great feature and it's nice to have. Overall, it's a great app, and I'm looking forward to future

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should altcoins be blamed? on: December 02, 2023, 04:31:55 PM
My question is should altcoins really be blamed for hate some persons have for Bitcoin due to their loss in alt coins?
I think in some way yes, with the way that the crypto market has come to, because if you look at most of the alt coins that are filling the market a bunch of them are just a scam made by opportunistic capatilists that their objective is just to make as much money from it rather than create something useful that solves issues or improve things, and this has been the case for a while now, and yet people still fall into thier trap and you see them investing thier money thinking that they will make a fortune only to be met with disappointment, and this act has given a bad reputation not only to altcoins but to the crypto currency in general, while bitcoin can not be viewed as the same way because of how large and decentrelized the market is making it uneasy to be manipulated.
4  Economy / Services / Re: Jack's Club Exclusive Bitcointalk Review Campaign on: November 28, 2023, 08:52:26 PM
Here is my honest review on Jack's Club
First of all the site is easy to navigate and has a very user friendly ui and there are no pop ups that try to force offers or sign up bonuses down your throat like a bunch of other sites, you can access everything from the first page plus you have a chat room where you can see current events and interact with other people which gives it a sense of community but you need to have deposited money before you use it.
Signing up was very easy and straight forward using and email and after verification you are good to go, for depositing you have the major cryptos like BTC,LTC,ETH,USDT...and they even have BNB, and they have generous first deposit bonuses.
For games they have over 1600 games to choose from you have the classic ones like dice and mines, a large variety of slots with well-known providers, and live games and game shows offer a quite enjoyable experience.
The only thing that i found missing for me is the crash game, so i hope they added to their list of games alongside with some sports betting in the future.
The best feature that i like about Jack's Club is the contests, not just the ones that have you wager real money but the one that lets play with their in house currency for a chance to win real money, which makes it a good place to have fun even if you are not playing with real money.
Minimum withdraws and transaction fees are fairly reasonable for all the crypto, except for the USDT where a fee of 6 USDT is subtracted from the withdraw amount to process the transaction, but apart from that my experience on Jack's Club was very good and i will be looking forward to see what the team builds upon in the future.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 29, 2023, 03:26:00 PM
Someone ask me a question after introducing bitcoin to him, if he can start up with $30 and grow with it but I told him bitcoin is wide and high in volume, price and market, that's means whatever you're starting with determine the outcome of the market like for example; if you start with $30 and eventually the market goes up to a little increase of $32 can not be compared with someone who started same time with you, at the rate $100.

So also when the market is down to some extent, the person with $30 may likely loss more because of the money is small. Blockchain has the minimum amount one can invest if am not mistaken but if your amount is too small may be difficult to make easy progress.

What do you think about my advised to him?
I think that investing any amount in bitcoin should be based on several things, first and foremost is that you should never be investing money that you can't afford to lose, meaning don't go about taking loans and credits just to invest, because it is a risky business and you might lose it, second of all what is you goal and what are you trying to get out of investing, are looking for long term investment or short term, and if you are just looking to actively trade it or just invest and leave it, in my experience if you are going to invest a small amount like 30$ you would have to be actively trading it , because lets say you bought it now and bitcoin goes up to 100k , you would only have made 70$, but lets say if you invested 30$ and sold and bought based on market prices you could grow that amount.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making profit with a bubble on: November 06, 2021, 10:52:08 PM
The problem with most people who invest or trade bitcoin is that they don't have an exit plan, i does not matter if they get in early or get in late, they always get greedy once they see the price rise and don't take their profit while they are still green, so whether its a bubble or not they get caught up in the trend and don't set goals, sure the crypto market is hard to predict and there are always ups and downs but trends can be easy to follow but the key is to stay calm and not to get greedy and have a set goal.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk in Crypto Assets Portfolio on: November 06, 2021, 09:39:51 PM
It must be understood that all types of investments have risks, such as bitcoin which is a very risky type of investment, because it is too risky so I recommend investing only the money you have in hand, never dare to sell property or other assets to buy bitcoin. it's better to have a special budget to buy bitcoins on a regular basis by setting aside some of your salary to buy bitcoin.
That is true but we can all agree on the fact that long term investment in bitcoin is way safer than investing in anything else, if you asked me about investing in bitcoin three or four years ago i would be hesitating and i would recommend otherwise because back than there were no regulation for it, and it seemed like government were against it, but today we are seeing not only big multi billion dollar companies invest in it, but entire countries accepting it and making it as an accepted currency, and due to its nature and limited supply the price is always going to go up so in terms of long term investment it is safe, but the other alt currencies not so much.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption by banks - good or bad? on: November 06, 2021, 09:25:26 PM
There are advantages and disadvantages, and it may undermine the decentralization of Bitcoin. Will record our privacy in the bank. The original intention of Bitcoin is different. I hope that we will pay Bitcoin freely in the future, and there is no concern about privacy leakage.
I agree, and this where i think we have moved away from the original concept of using bitcoin an crypto in the first place, on the one hand bitcoin becomes widely accepted and approved by governments and banks, but on the other hand we lose the privacy and anonymity that came with it that it was built upon, decentralized crypto is the future and they know that and since they can't control the currency they can control how is using it, meaning that all your transactions will be know so there will be no difference between using it and the fiat, i personally won't use any crypto bank related stuff because i care about the privacy part of the crypto.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best way to traiding on: November 06, 2021, 08:56:40 PM
As a lot of people are saying that the internet is a great source for you to start, but you need to keep in mind that the majority of sources like sites and videos will try to sell you on a certain point or lead you to believe a certain ideology in order to influence to trade their way, like recommending a certain website or giving you a referral link to signup through, and you should be always be careful from those because they are not  trying to give you information they are trying to make spend your money, so you should try and learn the basics and keep the details to learn from experience, and if you have any question you could always seek out assistance in here.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China is the biggest user of digital currency, its just not bitcoin on: November 06, 2021, 08:12:08 PM

https://www.theregister.com/2021/11/05/digital_yuan_140m_wallets/

You lot won't like this, but here is a digital currency that is actually used to buy things. Something that bitcoin has failed to do in 10 years.

The writing is on the wall.
It was an inevitable that they were setting up for this since the beginning, i am actually surprised that they didn't do this a long time ago, since they are well known for using all localized version of thing including the internet and payment systems, and since bitcoin is not centralized and the government does not have any control over its transactions, the ban was excepted and in fact i feel like everyone knew it was gonna happen that the mining ban didn't have any significant impact on the price at the time, and i bet that the digital currency that is being used and mentioned in the article is just another way for the Chinese government to monitor their citizens.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: 6 billion to solve world hunger? on: November 06, 2021, 07:17:50 PM
Have you read the latest news?
"Elon Musk is ready to sell his Tesla shares to donate $6 billion".(source).
Quote
This comes in response to a tweet made by David Beasley, director of the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP).

In his tweet, Beasley had mentioned the $36 billion increase in Musk’s net worth after Hertz ordered 100,000 Teslas. He added that one-sixth of this increase, which is $6 billion, could help save 42 million people who are suffering from famine.

If interpreted based on google data, that number is only about 2% of the total value of Musk's wealth.

What do you think,
Does it really only take 2% of musk's wealth to solve world hunger?
How do we assess this phenomenon based on its purpose, from a humanity or economic perspective?

World hunger is not an issue that can easily be solved by just giving away money to those who don't have food, and it is not going to be solved in short period of time, the nature of how the world is divided into countries with a lot of natural resources and ones where even the smallest crops can't even grow, and also hunger is driven by many other problems, such conflicts like civil war and war between countries that they lead to displacing a lot of people and creating poverty and hunger, and these are problems that can't be solved as long as humankind exist.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin run up is coming on: November 06, 2021, 06:28:37 PM
The inflation issue has been going on for years now and the current finical system has been crumbling down, and i feel like the past tow years and some of the economical issues caused by the pandemic had some serious effects on causing the inflation and maybe in a way lead to many people question its integrity, i feel like a lot of people don't have any idea about this because you don't see the news talking about it even though it is a serious issue, and for the ones who do know about it are starting to look for alternatives and ways to counter this inflation either by investing in gold or real estate, and a lot of them have also sought crypto and bitcoin and i feel like with on the rise and the inflation getting worse we will definitely see a massive change take place.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchange Binance Hires Former IRS Special Agent to Lead SAR Reporting on: November 06, 2021, 05:54:35 PM
This seems to me like a reasonable action, and in a way maybe its just to give their actions more of a legal approach, because Binance being the one of the biggest exchanges if not the biggest, has been dealing with a lot of  pressure and issues with a lot of governments around the world, and it seems with the ever so growing crypto market its seems the the grip has been tightening a lot more on the exchanges and who knows maybe Binance were forced to hire this guy, and i fear that the anonymity of the trades and transactions that we do on these exchanges are going to become more monitored and reported to the governments.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 06, 2021, 05:23:06 PM
Starting point is a big challenge when it comes to Investment. There are people who find it difficult to start up an investment because what they have is not large. Start your investment with the little you have it will go a long way.

Expectations to have something big to start maybe delayed. Do you know what point you would have reached if you had started with the little which you afford?
Although hitting big time with a small amount of capital is hard it is not impossible, for the most part trading is all about making the right choice at the right time, and doing so has to do with a lot of research and a lot of market knowledge and for everyone who is starting out with a small amount he should be spending most of his time looking for opurtounites about coins that have some great potential and projects that a lot of people seems to be interested in, but also you have to be realistic on how far can you go with it and how much profit you can make, because don't go in excepting to make 2000x in one go.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Missed Out of a 10 Year Bitcoin Investment Plan on: November 06, 2021, 02:27:27 PM
Well we are all have are share stories about bitcoin in money and we all have regrets about not believing in it earlier, i for one back in 2011 was just in high school and i was always looking for a way to make money from the internet, and one day there was a report in the TV news about a guy using 4 computers to mine bitcoin and make profit from it, the idea intrigued me and i wanted to know more about it, but i didn't have neither the knowledge or the patience and it seemed way to complicated for me so i let go of the idea and moved on with life until five years later when a friend mentioned that he is earning money from it and that is when i know that i missed my chance to make a fortune if i had kept with it, but now i am trying to make up for that mistake by earning and holding bitcoin however i can.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas' current use of BTC on: November 06, 2021, 12:29:17 PM
I love Andreas Antonopoulos. Having said this, he recently said something in one episode of his podcast that surprised me. He was talking about living on Bitcoin and he said that he HODLs his BTC and basically spends only USD. He gets paid in all different fiat, and he spends this fiat for his daily life. When he can, he buys more BTC and HODL.

While I understand that many of us HODL, isn't this just wrong for the future of BTC. First, Satoshi created BTC as a currency. It is intended to be spent. Second, if everyone HODL and nobody spends BTC, isn't this becoming just a pyramid scheme?
Although bitcoin has been created to be a replacement for current failing and ever so inflated finical system that has been always controlled by the government, but that idea has been started to fade away little by little ever since bitcoin started to reach some high prices, bitcoin has become just an asset and a way to make some quick and big profit for the majority of the new people who are investing it, and i am sure the majority of them if asked about what is the concept of bitcoin is they will just say its a digital currency and yet they don't use it as a currency and they don't even know the reason behind its creation.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the king on: November 06, 2021, 10:51:00 AM
Sure the bitcoin has been and will always be the king and the most crypto that people will invest in, but lately we have seen more and more investment and money go into new and improved altcoins that are trying to create and bring more changes into the crypto scene, even though they might not have the same stability as bitcoin in terms of long-term investments they still ne worth investing in  as they are good for active trading especially for someone who doesn't have huge capital, bitcoin has an attractive nature and an ever so growing price that keeps everyone interested in investing whether its individuals or companies and it will be that way for a long time.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the best advice? on: November 06, 2021, 10:15:39 AM
With the way crypto world is going now and everything is techy futuristic what advice would you give your children when growing up?

Gaming as we know it can now give you monthly payments and as a parent would you allow your kids to get into this just for the money making? To be honest kids are more good at gaming
To be honest and this coming from the point of view of a gamer No, because if feel like the competitive gaming has started to become overcrowded and it has become more and more of a challenge to make it in the industry and to be able to compete you would have to dedicate a lot of time and effort which are not always rewarded at least not if you are playing for team just how it is for sports, at least with sports you are gaining something from it which is keeping a good health and shape, but with gaming and for a long time you would be causing health problems, so the negatives that comes with it outweigh the reward.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taproot will follow segwit pump on: November 06, 2021, 07:51:42 AM
I'm active in few crypto communities for the last few months. Recently, taproot has been a great topic to discuss & some are expecting a huge pump after the activation of taproot as it was after the segwit activation. Will taproot really have that huge impact? FYI, I'm not much expert; I only understand taproot in theory but technically, I don’t know anything at all.
I don't have much knowledge about how the taproot will change transactions fundamentally but i feel like it won't have that much affect on the ones that are being made by regular people, because in its core the taproot doesn't change the spend or the fees of the transactions itself like segwit did, which is why it had a great impact on the price, but it is said that traproot will make smart contracts that are created on the bitcoin's core network and the segwit take less space and therefore be cheaper, and i feel like we need to wait to see if that will actually will make an impact on the price.
