161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make $5,000 a month day trading? on: September 01, 2021, 10:41:05 PM
With the following criteria...

1) Make spendable (can't use it to trade) $5,000 usd net a month.

2) Daytrading full time.

3) No other means of income (can't sell my service).

*4) Starting with $15,000.

5) Trading all crypto (not just btc).

* If it's not possible with $15k, then what's the minimum it would be possible with (of course this is considering this is the only hindrance).

That is a really specific, the thing with trading is it all depends on your way of trading and how good are you, if you have past experience and you were able to make some profit you probably wouldn't ask this question, but since you are still a beginner and you want to get into day trading that you should just focus on learning and trying strategies and making most of your time collecting as much info as you can before going in and using you money, and you should also set low expectations and start of by hitting smaller goals and smaller profit points.
162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: September 01, 2021, 10:29:20 PM
Almost every career, discipline or profession has its own hazard, risk and disadvantage. I hear many people who feel like quiting or abandoning their kind of job because of the risk they go through.

Likewise trading is risky too. For you as a trader, have you considered abandoning trading because of the high risk of losing money in your trade?
The problem with trading is there is so much more risk involved in it and you are not always guarantied a profit, which makes make a living of trading a pretty nerve racking job and produces a lot of anxiety compared to other business such an office job where you always get paid and that is why trading should be a secondary income, but hey you need to risk it to get the biscuit and in once you are an expert in trading things get a lot easier.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 01, 2021, 10:17:26 PM
Hey guys! I wanted to compile a post from past and current information given to me by others and advice given to me by others.

If you had cryptos in the past and could have made lots, to kick yourself over it. If you get caught up over what could have been, you will go insane. So focus on the current time. Good luck!
It is good to remind yourself of things that happened in the past in order either to learn from them so you won't fall in the same mistakes as you did or to encourage yourself to push in order to reach that point again, maybe a lot of people say that you should let the past be the past but i personally feel like the past is what makes us look for the future and encourages us and push us to be better, and i think that is the key to progressing and growth.
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Go About Crypto Trading For Newbies. on: September 01, 2021, 10:11:54 PM
Hello,
I've realised a lot of people have capital in their account to start investment in crypto currency but have no idea how to go about it.
The best way is obviously to make a lot of research and get as much information about where to invest and how to do it and and in which coins you should be putting your money into depending on how much capital you have and of course the best way to get about doing that is to explore different threads and topics on this forum to get people's ideas and opinions about different things .
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 01, 2021, 09:47:41 PM
It's joyous to make gains in trading. The problem is how does one control his mind when there is a huge lose
The easier way is to just forget it and take a break from trading and all that is related to it for a couple of days, that is why trading should never be used as a way to lake a living if you are not able to afford the loss, because it will affect your life in a bad way, because you would go into it hoping to change your life and become rich from it which is not always the case, so the best way is never to go in with huge amounts and just lower your expectations.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: The lending problem on: September 01, 2021, 09:18:54 PM
A simple question to the forum - I hope that people can provide sensible answers, since it would be way too easy to preach rather than to reason.

It has been mentioned many times in the forum that banks can be killed by bitcoin and that crypto is a threat for central banks, etc... One of the reasons that make me doubt about that possibility is the worldwide need of having a strong lending and borrowing system. I think that currently DeFi does not offer a realistic solution and that lending eventually has to rely on an intermediary. That, in some way or under a different name, is a bank.

How is this problem addressed currently and how could it be solved at large scale without a "bank" of shorts?
Well bitcoin can not fully replace the bank in that part but the threat to the bank is that bitcoin allows a store of value and allows you to have freedom about your own transactions, which if you are using fiat you don't have ease of access to these features, but in terms of the lending and borrowing you have a point although there are way that crypto in general can work around it but not bitcoin like smart contracts and lending sites.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: Recent advertisement for Visa - what a joke on: September 01, 2021, 09:05:13 PM
I don't watch much TV on the TV itself nowadays, so I don't know if anyone has been talking about this ad or not:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbvl60_CZl8

"What a load of bullshit", I found myself saying aloud after witnessing that for the first time.  How can it be working for everyone when so many people in the world are unbanked?  And how much of the wording in that was deliberately chosen to mirror the kinds of things we say about Bitcoin?  It feels very much like a pre-emptive first strike on their part, possibly demonstrating some insecurities about the threat their business model now faces.

Anyone else get the sense they had crypto in mind when they wrote the script for it?
Yeah i closed the video as soon as they said its more than a credit card, first of all i used to use it before when i went on a trip and every time the transaction either don't go or they bug out that is why no one is using it anymore, and i think that is why they are advertising if they were smart enough they would start accepting or using crypto and that might get some people to be interested in using their system.
168  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador retirees protest against Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 01, 2021, 08:56:50 PM
the people that are protesting against bitcoin and they still believe that it is used for money laundering that they should have an audit on their income and belonging, because the only people who would go against it have some kind of profit of some transactions going unnoticed, because will transaction being on the blockchain people can see what money goes to whom and that makes any big transaction to be seen and inspected,
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin fans have developed into a political force. Is this the dawn of victory? on: September 01, 2021, 08:43:00 PM
There is no need for some kind of organization or political force to take in charge, we don't need a central force that is gonna say what do we want and not want, because it can't represent the majority of the bitcoin users, because bitcoin is decentralized and that is the it should be, because one you have someone who represents it it turns to fiat that is represented by the government. and that is why bitcoin is free and should stay that way.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: September 01, 2021, 08:34:23 PM
Im looking for a way to make money online. I have a website in development but I would like to find a way to make some extra cash while the website is in development. I would just like it to not be Surveys, or Dropshipping. Got any ideas?
The best advise that i can give you about making money online is to develop some sort of skill first, see what can you do and compare that to what some of the companies or people ask from a freelancer that you would like to tap in to, you can find a ton of free courses about many different skills, and maybe if you are developing the website you have some skills in programming in coding that you can put it to use, there are plenty of freelancing sties where you could offer your skills, and you should try them out even if at first you don't make a lot you will progressively ramp up with more work you do.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Sponsors New MrBeast YouTube Video! on: September 01, 2021, 08:25:55 PM
Watch it here now: https://youtu.be/zxYjTTXc-J8

That should also serve as some motivation for our soon to be launched Bitcointalk YouTube channel as what sponsors are achievable in the space! Go Coinbase! Great to see my favorite things coming together. This will no doubt spur a little adoption boost for the day.
I mean there is no surprise that MrBeast has been investing in crypto since his early days in YouTube and if you look at his early videos you will see that he made some of his big fortune from bitcoin, so seeing that coinbase caught on to that an made a move to sponsor one of his videos and him accepting that is a great move and i ma sure that they will get some great publicity out of it.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dream Bitcoin 100k on: September 01, 2021, 07:00:31 PM
When Bitcoin goes down from 80 to 29, it goes up and down there for a while. But now it is going up and down again. But 50k the moment it is fluctuating again. I have learned from some news outlets that many people have exchanged views that Bitcoin will cross 100k by the end of this year. I would like to know the opinion of the members of the forum.
The reason why so many people think that the bitcoin  might be able to hit k by the end of the year is due to the overwhelming news and rumors going around about big companies like Walmart and amazon investing in some kind of crypto, and if that turns out to be true we might see the price go to some high point and it would be the spark that kicks off some kind of huge demand that will push the price even further
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Addict on: September 01, 2021, 06:37:37 PM
Lately, I exhibited some character which to me is an addiction.

Whenever I close my eyes, I see the bitcoin logo and price just like the way it is on my device at first I thought it was normal and will fade away with time but it has persisted to this very moment while I was discussing with my other Bitcoin lovers they told me that now an addict.

So I would like to ask, is there anything like a Bitcoin addict if yes then please tell me how to become one, cause I will gladly get addicted to Bitcoin again, and again I will become a Bitcoin pro-addict if that is the case.

Will you get addicted to Bitcoin if that is possible?
I wouldn't say addiction but obsession, and this is goes more the more you are invested in it, if you are taking it seriously and using bitcoin to make a living either by trading or by putting you savings into it, you will always have it in the back of you head constantly reminding you either to check the price or the news, wondering if i should take my profit and cash it out or just hold it, that is why you should only invest your time and money in bitcoin as a hobby or a pass time that makes you money that way you don't get distracted or feel engaged to constantly think about it
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay with Bitcoin on: September 01, 2021, 06:17:34 PM
I developed a high interest in Bitcoin lately want to accept Bitcoin for my sales and servicing company, am already working with a programmer to develop software or an application that will aid my transactions using the Bitcoin lightning network.

As the saying goes, no man is an island of knowledge, so I shared my story to get suggestions from this noble forum.
I think that you might be able to get away just using regular network if you merchandise is not considered micro transaction, and i think there a lot of providers out there that provide crypto specific machines that are made to make paying easier by just scanning and depending on where you live it might be better than just paying a programmer to make an app that can have some flaws in it
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next US president pro-bitcoin? on: September 01, 2021, 06:10:27 PM
What would happen if someone, lets say Bob. Goes out and says "We got a problem. Previous governments have been doing too much QE. Inflation is going wild. We will now adopt Bitcoin as legal tender."

Would Bob get elected? Or would majority of people not like Bob?
For a president to like or hate bitcoin is not gonna change a lot, he may have some young supporters who are getting into cryptocurrency, but whether he has intention to use it  and goes with it to the congress to make some laws pro crypto or make crypto as a legal tender, because all the congress members need to pass it, and we know that it won't happen because it goes against their profits so they will never replace fiat with crypto
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese financial regulator considers imposing stricter crypto rules on: September 01, 2021, 03:39:45 PM
To be honest this comes at no surprise, it is just a matter of time before a lot of other countries start imposing more regulation and more taxes on the crypto business, as the popularity of crypto has grown a lot over the past couple of years and there has been a massive amount of money being pumped into it and a lot of money  being made from it, and this is posing a problem for most governments and that is why they are taking some action to regulating them, and in my opinion it is best to regulate them and work around them than to completely ban them like what most countries did because they don't want to deal with them.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will its price start being stabilized? on: September 01, 2021, 02:16:07 PM
We all keep listening reading every where hold bitcoin as it will keep growing in future as well.

But my question is how much maximum a bitcoin can worth and when ??
What is its max potential and when its price would stop increasing??

I know nothing can be predicted but I just want to hear your views about it.
We have to take in consideration that we are still in the beginning of the crypto hype, not until 2 years back people were talking about how bitcoin is a bubble and how it is made by hacker and it is going to crash, and here we are now seeing a lot of people investing a lot of money into it and hoping to claim massive profits as it has a lot of potential, and the more people get into it the higher the price goes, so to be honest the sky is the limits to at what point the price could reach and how long will it keep on being relevant.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: August 31, 2021, 07:21:15 PM
When i flashbacks far 2013 and 2014, within that range far back i remember how people were castigating bitcoin as a means of extortion of money, and also a means of scamming peoples money, but today everyone is interested to invest in cryptocurrency and more especially in bitcoin, because from what i observed from little bitcoin seminar program i hosted in my geographical domain even a nursing mother that is approximately forty to forty eight (40-48) years is interested to invest with bitcoin and children in school is already knows what is bitcoin, so with this length of bitcoin awareness in my society i think BTC can stay till infinity.
In my opinion this interest has come at a great cost, you see people only see bitcoin as an investment a way to make money meaning that they put their fiat into buying bitcoin and as soon as they want to take profit they turn that back into fiat, and this idea is what is brining more and more people and so as long as bitcoin stays volatile people will still be interested in ''investing in it'', but that is what most of us want, we want to people see and use bitcoin and cryptocurrency for its true purpose a better alternative for the current broken financial system that keeps on crashing.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should other countries did not accept Bitcoins? on: August 31, 2021, 07:16:00 PM
No offense for other countries 🌹

Why should other countries did not accept Bitcoins or let's says that Bitcoins are illegal to them?

Many reasons why some countries treated Bitcoins an illegal. But we all know that Bitcoins did not break the rules of the government, in fact Cryptocurrencies are very popular nowadays especially Bitcoin, many people got successful by joining Bitcoin.

In my point of view Bitcoin is not illegal unless you're trying to scam someone. Bitcoins did not steal money from the bank so what's the point we say Bitcoin is illegal?

The nature of how bitcoin is designed, and how it is decentralized and cannot be controlled by anyone makes it a huge competitor for dishonest people who don't want it to take the place of the regular currency, the problem with our governments is that they are not run by politicians or votes they are run by business people and by the richest man who dictate how laws are made and if a law does not suit they profit they won't pass it, and that includes bitcoin and cryptocurrency because if they take over who is ever gone use the banks anymore and they will all run out of business.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google bans 8 crypto apps on: August 31, 2021, 06:32:41 PM
It is well know for the people who have been in the crypto business for some time now that cloud mining are just a scam and a pyramid scheme, bitcoin and crypto are a market where the scam business is spread especially since the popularity of this industry is raising at a high rate, and that is one of the reason google took actions to ban crypto ads and now they lifted the ban and it is good to see them taking serious moves to combat the crypto scam without influencing the legit ones
