1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The evolutionary certainty of Bitcoin on: December 18, 2013, 06:22:49 AM
Goverments can mine much more than people; also, can break the chain. DO you think that NASA can go to Mars but can not break a 256 SHA security?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin decentrilization myth on: November 29, 2013, 08:48:14 PM
NSA and the NASA should have supercomputers.... if the US goverments supports the coin it's because we are all entering into a trap of magic mirrors.

Como ven BTC no viola ninguna de las reglas.
A ML le conviene que vendamos en Bitcoins porque la comision en moneda local hay que pagarla. Cuidado que seguramente la orden viene de ebay, que a su vez viene del gobierno de USA.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thieves, Govts and Mistakes on: July 13, 2013, 02:09:02 AM
You made a lot of mistakes, the first one was to TRUST on a system.

You trusted Bitcoins-24, do you know who they are? Giving something of value to anybody is always a risk, even giving it to the bank. You are from Argentina, where you had a bank run on 2001, banks stole dollars from people, and the minister give the people "peso" instead of his dollars.

Then you trusted on BlockChain, even when they say they have security, you can't be sure if they really are keeping your coins safe. Misteriously they can say "uppsss, our system was hacked" and say "bye bye" to you (ex-) coins.

Then you trust on Yubikey, a third party security system. What happens if it fails? And 2-pass auth? The one controlled by G00?

The answer was always, do not trust on somebody, you should keep your coins for yourself. Cold storage, print the code, or remember it. And trust no one.
5  Local / Mercadillo / BitcoinCDKEY | Juegos Steam y Origin por Bitcoins (y pagofacil) on: June 15, 2013, 09:41:56 PM
Decidí armar un humilde website para vender CDKEYs de juegos por Bitcoins.

WEBSITE: www.bitcoincdkey.com

Mundo = Bitcoin

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ebay - Important on: June 06, 2013, 06:21:54 PM
The war of United States to bitcoin has began, no doubt.

a) Dwalla\MtGox story
b) Liberty Reserve takedown
c) Last week OKPay stops on BTC deposits, launched less than three months ago.
d) now this.
e) what more?

Thank silk road and all the bad publicity, they now have an alibi for the audience.

True, but luckily the citizen from USA knows what they gov is doing...

Good to see it was resolved.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / BTCe > PayPal = fees = 11.2% on: June 06, 2013, 06:15:49 PM
I create this post to let you know what happens when you withdraw money from BTCe using PayPal.

BTCe has a fee of 6% when you ask for a withdraw to PayPal, minimum payout is U$S 250, and they send the payment in less than 48hs.

EXAMPLE; you withdraw $250, and they will send you $235

They send the payment not as a direct PayPal to PayPal account, but as a buyer (or maybe using a credit card, not PayPal money), so PayPal take the transaction as a BUY/SELL, and take from you the merchant Fees.

PayPal receive the $235, and tell you the "buyer data" (delivery address, etc). And take from you 5.4% + $0.30.

EXAMPLE; $235 will be $222.01 after the fees.

FINAL RESULT = You withdraw U$S 250.00, get U$S 222.01, TOTAL 11.2% of fees (aprox.)

=====

I you ever tried "TURBOSQUID" website, they send the payment with direct PayPal account transaction, so fee is ZERO if you have a personal account.

I sent BTCe a ticket asking if this is a mistake or if they always send the payment in that way (making PayPal withdraw unrealiable), but they closed it without answer.

If you buy from them, let us know.
The only one I know is G2PLay and they send the keys fast, but it's expensive.

EDIT: Why 90,600 million and not 90.6 Billion?

WORLD:
1 million = 1,000,000
1,000 million = 1,000,000,000
1 billion = 1,000,000,000,000
90,600 millions = 96,600,000,000
90.6 billions = 96,600,000,000,000

English and Arabic countries:
1 million = 1,000,000
1,000 million = does not exist
1 billion = 1,000,000,000 (3 zeros missed)

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The latest Alt wars are over. We have our winner, DGC ! on: June 04, 2013, 12:48:46 AM
Looks like DGC has won the right to stand in LTC's shadow as the "Bronze" to Bitcoin's Gold.

Congratulations, Baritus.  Well done.

Honorable mention goes to YAC and WDC

Based on what  Huh

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth About Hazard's Altcoin Creation Service on: June 04, 2013, 12:44:48 AM
I'm against the Hazard service, but I think he is being fair. We all know that he is only doing some lines modifications to launch the coins, or do you spected to create a full new and shinny bitcoin competitor?

it's not Hazard fault if somebody pay him to make crapcoins...

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exclusive! - LEAKED Worldcoin prototype - pics inside! on: June 02, 2013, 09:39:53 PM
A coin that is essentially Litecoin. Cute masks.

How is it essentially Litecoin?  It is based on Scrypt like many of the altcoins, but you can't argue against the fact that it is much much faster than Litecoin which can be helpful in a variety of different situations.
Like?

Like arbing betwen exchanges  Wink
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exclusive! - LEAKED Worldcoin prototype - pics inside! on: June 02, 2013, 07:52:16 AM
I like the number 4 and 6, but the inscription of the original was better:

Liberaj Viroj Monero, "Coin of free men" in Esperanto.

"One world, one people" in Latin sounds more like a new world order.....

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Coinchoose doesn't work for calculating WDC or DGC Profitability on: May 25, 2013, 11:53:46 PM
Bump. The WDC community has concluded that it is common for you to receive 60% of what your pools "reward calculator" is displaying.

So if coinchoose is showing 180% profitability to BTC, it is in fact 60% of the 180%, which is 108% actual profitability to BTC.

This is common for all coins with a faster block time. This information will be added to the WDC forum, under a stickied FAQ thread within a day or so.

That is all.

Thank you for the information!

Can you please also be so kind and tell me where is the "WDC forum"?

Worldcoinforum.org

But your forum is not listed on WDC website: http://worldcoin.in/services/

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions | Launched on: May 24, 2013, 05:54:01 PM
Why nearly all miners think only about himself with a timeframe of 10 seconds? Don't you see a little longer in the future? If we want this coin to grow we must act as a community, protecting the coin and helping growing it up.
Here is my personal list of things to do to support WDC and help it to not fail (it's our interest, right?):

  • Don't dump your mined coin immediately, if you're smart and believe in this coin you have to mine and don't waste WDC you generate at lower and lower prices. If we'll work well then, in months, WDC will maybe be exchanged at a much higher value. Then you can begin selling them, not all togheter.
Think about first people who believed in bitcoin and mined more than a bitcoin a day... If they sold them immediately like you're doing now... Miner that had a believe in bitcoin now are nearly rich!
  • WDC must be used for real world transactions, if this will not be true in the near future the coin will be dead. It must have a real value. Now all people mine and sell WDC for BTC, this is what will get the price to drop. All who can help (developers!) are welcome to build smartphone apps and all kind of software that can help real world operation with this coin.
  • Set a donation to pool operator, expecially when it ha 0% fee like worldcoinpool.com (pool operators work much and have expenses.... Who likes to work for nothing???). Donating we are supporting their work
and chances that they continue doing it is higher

Let's grow WorldCoin! Don't sell all WDC you're generating! Or if you do set a high price... Wink

Miners only mine and dump as fast as they can. And world is dominated by monkeys. If only inteligent and proffesional people mine, then you will find that they can wait 2 or 3 month to dump, for a x2 or x3 current market value. But 50% of people is below IQ 100, so, what do you expected?
