Mine still asks for the url:

Code:
"pools" : [
   {
      "name" : "stratum+tcp://adn.minebig.com",
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://adn.minebig.com:3399",
      "user" : "Drasticraven.x",
      "pass" : "xyz",
      "pool-priority" : "0"
   }

],

edit: I also keep getting shares rejected because they are above target.

that is because your nfactor is wrong

Thank you.

Another great coin, Another wallpaper. Heavycoin now has it's own wall of text wallpaper.

And this coin is GPU'ed, about 5x faster than a high end CPU, latest word from ypool dev.
jh00: I don't support coins with premine

Maybe he was talking about the devs who hang around in that chat like AeroCloud and yvg1900 Huh
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - CPU-only, Ultra-secure, Decentralized Voting on: March 11, 2014, 07:07:08 PM
how long can we expect till we are added on coinmarketcap?

All they need is a steady and reliable data feed...  I doubt they will not add HVC if someone contacts them with the information.

Just tweet them the block explorer and whatever else is needed or post in the thread Smiley

Here is their request form? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IZf5cBivam_93zENT_arFFuvWDidHGjWxoTMVmFSoWg/viewform

For you guys that think you have to be there to start your miners just add the job to your scheduler or drop to a cmd prompt and type.

AT 11:00pm "C:\cudaminer-2014-02-09\x64\cudaminer.exe - GpuCoin-Oakpool.bat"

Obviously change the path to your miner .bat or .lnk and the time to your time

then just type "AT" and you will see it scheduled.

I believer in new versions of windows its's SchTasks

example: SchTasks /Create /SC DAILY /TN "My" /TR "C:\Users\Username\Desktop\Mining\vertminer-0.5.2\gpucoin.bat" /ST 22:40 (This makes it a daily task)

Why relaunch ? Some pools work.

Because people like me have over 400million coins.

donate then lol

Sadly i did a restart and it seems like I have closer to 30 million of worthless coins.

1930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could negative articles be the ultimate failure of Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 01, 2014, 09:26:35 PM
If people are so easily influenced and refuse to do their own research, they will get everything that they deserve.

I agree but we live in age were people are extremely busy which leads to most people only reading the headlines.
1931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Could negative articles be the ultimate failure of Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 01, 2014, 09:15:38 PM
I understand that a negative post might be looked down upon here but the community has to wake up and act. The attention around Bitcoin has mainly been negative over the last few months especially during February.

The argument that many people put forward when a point such as mine is raised is that all PR is good but that's only true to a degree. When Bitcoin was getting massacred by the press another cryptocurrency was only getting praise. I'm obviously talking about DOGE, the only reason why they grew so quickly is because their community is great at pr. While we were getting articles about the theft of Gox, they were getting articles about sending people to the Olympics.

In order to gain influence you have to get the people on your side and with publicity such as "Bitcoin Hacked" you can't gain mass adoption. There is a reason why politicians spend millions on tv campaigns, to get the majority on their side.

You might believe that fiat will fail and that's the reason why Bitcoin will be successful but I don't think that in order for Bitcoin to succeed we need fiat currencies to fail.

We need to fight against the negative articles and fight for great PR. We need to get rid of amateurs exchanges. We need to spread the word about Bitcoin. We need positive advertisements on high profile news networks, magazines etc. I don't believe that the world press is against bitcoin, they are uneducated and that's different. We need to educate the press.

What do you guy's think?
1932  Other / Meta / Re: Questions to theymos about the $1,000,000 forum software project on: March 01, 2014, 08:20:02 PM
I am dreaming totally but I would like to share my Junior Member idea : what would be nice and would maybe ease everyone's mind would be a huge give away for all members, just a few hundreds BTC but it would be in the spirit of the early days of Bitcoin

Theymos would gain some more support from everyone and a lot of good people will receive some bitcoins, it would be-legendary

Yeah lets redistribute wealth, those days are dead and not coming back but thanks for the off-topic idea.

The idea is totally off-topic but it isn't a crazy one. BTC has been getting a lot of bad press over the last few months. You could make the argument that all pr is good but that's only valid to degree, if your competition is getting only positive news then the bad pr is no longer good. The amount of negative articles on Bitcoin could potentially be the failure of it. Redistributing the wealth of the forum or spending it on positive Bitcoin ads could be what we need to push BTC forward even further.

No that was the early days, better infrastructure is needed right now. Just like Mt Gox this forum at one point was the only bitcoin forum, and could survive that, now that more people are coming into the community it is harder and harder to just stay on this forum and use it, that would mean new infrastructure will lure more people to bitcoin, not PR stunts.

I understand your point but in that case how did doge grow so quickly? They grew so quickly because they getting extremely positive news articles when bitcoin was being destroyed by the press. I think that what we need right now is a combination of both.

And has gotten it's private calculator which can be found at https://cointweak.com/calculator/coin/max

Quote
Coin    Difficulty    Coin reward/day    Exchange rate BTC    Exchange rate USD    Revenue/day    Days to create 1 BTC
Maxcoin    97876.11403570    10.6547228122    0.00115001 ?    0.6195333872    $6.6    81.61

Please change it to mh/s asap.
What exactly do you mean? If you want to calculate for 100 megahashes you can enter 100000 at the kilohashes field. Unfortunatly because I support multiple algorythms I can't just swap it to MH/s. For the overview I tried to get a hashrate as equal as possible to the 1000KH/s for scrypt, which in my opinion is very close to the 540MH/s currently being used. If you disagree with that then please provide me with some statistics or other info sources where I can see the proof and I will adjust it.

I did input the correct number of kh/s but a change to mh/s would make it easier and it would also look better as well as give your calculator a more professional feel.

I guess the hashrate is dropping on Max - as I am now getting around 25% more coins per day than earlier this week.

Up from 14 per day to 19 Cheesy

It'll be great when (if) the price goes up again XD

Honestly I think it's more if the price goes up again because the support from Max himself is appalling. Yes he is retweeting some tweets about the coin but he isn't accepting it on his new crowdfunding site which shows his true opinion on this coin.

Maxcoin will be accepted on StartJoin pretty soon. They are now working on implementation.

https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/436433000981880832

That's better but it should have accepted it at launch.

To quote Theymos, the forum does not need any more money.

Explain this then:

...So I guess that nut2pools was a scam pool too.
I'm getting paid fine and the automatic withdrawal's are working great.

Goody for you, but nut2pool still has my 10 MAX and its proprietor has not gotten back to me.

For now I'm sticking to 1gh and dwarfpool.  Those pay, are anonymous, and I can readily see my progress by hitting F5.

Just so everyone knows, You can see your progress when you log in to nut2pool.

Update from the dev's on the Windows 8 Wallet:

"We've got a fully functioning windows 8 wallet now and have sorted out all the issues we were having with our build system. We're going to release updated wallets for all platforms all at once in the next day or so."

BTW, I mined for 24 hours at nut2pools two days ago, didn't get paid, attempted to log in, it did not accept my password, attempted to give it my email to get a password reset sent, the entry field did not accept enough characters to take my email address.  I left a message on the contact form.  nut got back to me via email to tell me that I have about 10 MAX.   But it is not paying out to me and I can't log in to manually withdraw it.   I replied to inform nut of this.  It's been 24 hours now since I last heard from nut.  So I guess that nut2pools was a scam pool too.

wtf, site nut2pools dont available  too Angry

Works perfectly fine here.
